Rose de Grasse Pour Filles

For the price of $260 per ounce, that memory can be relived whenever you want. A priceless moment in time. Unplug the stopper on this white glass vial and remember: Summer evening in the perfect dark green, cool grass of your family home. You are young, light, free. Bare foot in the shade of a grove of trees. A flawless fully bloomed pink rose, with its cool velvet petals on your face, as you lean your nose in to savor its beauty. Rain is coming tonight. Everything is lost in that moment, nothing else exists. Innocence. Joy. Peace. Purity. Optimism. Cleanliness. Perfection. Simplicity. I have searched for that fragrance for years. Most rose perfumes are synthetic and smell oddly like pickle juice doused with harsh/fake disinfectant like white florals. Badly mixed hotel soap. Salty green gardenias. The almost natural rose, but stop short of Mexican laundry detergent. This Aerin Rose De Grasse is quite overpriced (in my opinion) because it is so natural and simplistic. But this fragrance is the only portal to the past I have ever found. Maybe that is why it is so expensive; they know we will pay for that memory. The silage and projection are weak, but that is not a problem for me, as I don't use it for wear. I use it for comfort. Purchase for its beauty and magical transportation properties. Don't purchase because you need a working perfume.

The pretty bottle suits this perfume well. This is the ultimate scent of innocence, youth, purity and optimism. The name "pour filles" means "for girls" (not women) fits the bill. I'm a woman, but I love this perfume for the way it makes me feel. Optimistic and happy. Comforted and calm. I wish I had a bathtub so I could sprinkle pink rosepetals in the water. That would sum up the serene feeling of bliss this fragrance gives me. It opens up juicy and sweet with a hint of pear behind a bouquet of cyclamen and pink roses. It continues to sprinkle airy rose-petals that fall gently onto your skin throughout the wear. By the time it reaches the heart and you are stepping out of your rosebath you are met with true, authentic and fresh orange blossom as if your stepping out into a mediterranean garden of blooming orange-trees. Like all Aerin floral fragrances you get amazing quality ingredients that smell authentic, and the fragrance lasts for a decent time even without any prominent base notes. This is not so much spring as it is summer to me, due to the orange flower note that gives off a summer-holiday-vibe to me. I really really love this, and I think it's a lovely rose interpretation by Aerin.

Bought the sample set primarily for the original Rose de Grasse, but I was mildly curious about the other flankers as well. I tried this without even looking at the notes first and the orange blossom is unmistakable! However, despite it being front and centre it actually isn't intense nor does it have any indolic facets that it can sometimes have - the pear and rose give it a really dewy, youthful profile instead. Definitely useable in the spring but this screams "SUMMER" to me! Smelling it almost tricks my brain into thinking I can feel the sun warming my skin... it's only 7°C as I type this lol. The last thing my collection needs is yet ANOTHER fresh spring/summer scent, so this'll be on the backburner as a potential future purchase, but wow, this really is beautiful!!! If you want a fresh, watery, zen orange blossom scent, this is the one.

To my novice perfume smelling senses this smells more like true rose to me that the original Rose de Grasse by AERIN. The opening is very soft, even at first spray the sillage is no more than moderate, but it quickly fades down to a skin scent on me. Although it is an eau de toilette it has the same longevity (or even a slightly better one,) than the original Rose de Grasse. After 30 minutes or so some of the orange blossom peaks through the rose but those are the only notes I find - aside from the general musk that is a core scent in both perfumes. I think the idea of this being a young girls first perfume is sweet, but no teenage girls I know would want to smell like their grandmothers bath powder. I love this scent, it is not modern, but it is rose heavy and I feel pretty when wearing this fragrance.

During the 1970s, people who were middle aged and older would often provide small fancy soaps for their guests to use in the bathroom. There would be a large handheld bar soap, such as DOVE brand, that was for household members to use: this would be placed in a dish on the rim of the bathroom sink, and would be displayed in whatever stage of use it happened be that day. But when guests were being entertained, the host would put out a special dish with a variety of unused tiny solid soaps, of various pastel colors: these were higher end in quality and virtually always smelled of flowers. Aerin's Rose de Grasse Pour Filles smells like one of those guest soaps. I picture it as pink and rose-shaped, just as was very common at that time. To me this is a pleasant, high-end soapy rose scent. 🦋🧡🦋

Love, love. I have tried the other two in this line, rose de grasse and rose de grasse joyful bloom, and this one is the best. The other two smell like rose essential oils, which seem somewhat flat to me. But this one, pour filles, is more rounded and softer. Very pretty, feminine. Just lovely. While the flanker’s moniker suggests it’s for girls, I am fairly old. And I think it would be fabulous for any age. Please note that for sillage and longevity, this is EDT, not EDP or parfum. Update 08/10/2024: I have sprayed this a lot last year then I bought lots of other perfumes and found quite a few I love. I came back to this today, and it is absolutely beautiful. It is serenely gorgeous.

I’m very wary about musk in perfumes because it sometimes makes the smell to powdery and nauseating, for example Musk invincible by JHG. This however has just the right amount of musk, and the right type of musk. It’s soft, warm, creamy and just incredible beautiful. Lovely rose scent, not sharp but full bodied and delicate. Love!

So. Both my husband and I find this INCREDIBLY nostalgic. For me, in a good way. For my husband, not so much. He thinks it’s incredibly dated while also smelling like a “saddle”?? Suffice to say I’m actually glad this has an intimate sillage. I love it, but I think many others of a certain age would really not care for it.

I don't get any rose from this. What I do get is a beautiful honey note (must be the pear, orange blossom and musk). For an Eau de Toillette, it performs well. And I was able to get it in 30ml bottle. It's very nostalgic and beautiful.

This fragrance has a lovely pear note that I'm really enjoying for transitioning between seasons. There is also a tiny bit more longevity to this Aerin fragrance.

The initial top note is sweet rose with aquatics & cinnamon, which I guess is the amber accord. I never got any orange blossom. It’s inoffensive and pleasant, but the combination of rose and water and cinnamon is so weird/surprising that I don’t think I’d want to wear this all day. Creamy honey in the middle notes, and a dry down that reminds me of soap. It didn’t go powdery, which is a blessing. It was gone after an hour. For that reason alone, I would not buy at this price point. The name is a strange choice, what modern teenage girl wants to smell like a Victorian rose candy?

I purchased this fragrance as a blind buy, and I have to say I'm on the fence. On one hand the rose scent it quite authentic. I smell rose and the green all around it. There is a noticeable powdery scent to it, which makes it soft and fade nicely into the skin. I find the perfume to get sweeter as it fades away. I wouldn't buy this again, its a scent just not memorable.

Light, pretty, feminine, musky rose. Lasts longer than I expected it to. Lovely fragrance.

Do not bother with this pretty looking perfume. I paid $100 for a small bottle and surprise surprise - after spraying several times and then later - all over - the fragrance was so weak that it made me wonder if i bought a scam. I purchased this perfume in Nordstrom, so I guess it was real. The fragrance is beautiful but it is very-very weak, or I would say - non existent. It (the fragrance) will stay on your skin just like a lotion, but do not ever expect any compliments because NO ONE will ever smell it on you. I am very sensitive to fragrances and I can smell things that most people won't even notice. If my sensitive nose barely could smell it, how about the rest of the people?? If you still insist on buying it, PLEASE try a tester first. It is too overpriced for what it is expected to do. You have been warned.

I’m not really into rose scents. They’re super beautiful and totally inoffensive, just not my thing. I got Rose de grasse pour filles as a free sample when I ordered FB of Lilac Path & Hibiscus palm (both freaking 10/10 ) and I thought I would enjoy it and then pass to my friend who loves rose. But this one has a strong stink smell when I first spray it, then it mellows out to a really pretty clean soft rose scent. I think it’s the musk, I’m not into musks at all. But it was a weird enough stink that I felt compelled to come on here and report it lol any one else get that right when you spray it?

I don't get roses. It's FANCY translucent white soap w/ white plastic. As the name says, It smells like high quality, high priced stationary perfume for a teenage girl. But I don't spend such money for a girl's perfume.

This is such a pretty, feminine scent. It has nice longevity. It’s been about six hours since I put it on and it’s still lingering on my skin. It doesn’t project much, it’s more the kind of scent someone picks up when hugging you. After about an hour, the rose scent went away and the musk and Ambroxan remained while still being vaguely floral. It smells warm and lightly sweet. I don’t like gourmand or sweet scents but this kind of sweetness I really enjoyed. It’s a lovely scent, but I wanted more rose. I’ll have to try the original rose de grasse.
