Promise Me

This is so unexpected, it doesn't smell like a trendy clothing store release at all! I read the notes quickly at Ross and assumed it would be much sweeter, but a 50ml bottle was only $7, so I took a chance, even assuming I would probably hand it off to my sister who likes fresh things with sweet underpinnings. I have a lot of fragrances like that in my collection already. Well, I don't have a dang thing like this. And I'm REALLY impressed. This is simple on paper, yes, but it has interesting angles to it. The tea isn't really that sweet whatsoever! It's spicy, colonge-y, fresh, herbal...and slightly spicy. The gardenia is *actually* gardenia (two of my very, very favorite fragrances contain gardenia), it has a composed quality. The gardenia lends this a cerebral personality. Anyone could wear this of course, but it leans unisex. It's not an inviting fragrance at all, it's aloof and smells like someone who has good boundaries...if that even makes sense. It's introverted, but not at all insecure. There's a slightly bitter (not bad), realistic quality to the tea that I truly, truly adore. It smells like real tea leaves, particularly after it sits on the skin for an hour or so. It has the olfactory quality of tannins. I initially thought it would be more of a summer fragrance, but this morning has been chilly and I love how it's performing in the air. I think it would be perfect on a rainy, moody day in March or April. I really love this, I'm utterly impressed! The name sounds romantic and all, but this isn't anything of the sort. It's kind of kick@ss in a green, herbal, reserved way. If this were presented differently (the bottle I have actually is different than the one shown here, it's square) from a well-regarded brand people would pay good money for this. It's not going to be for everyone, it's on the bitter side, but it would strike the right chords in certain people. 🍵 🌿

This stuff is fantastic. It’s clean, crisp and attractive. Hands-down, my favorite scent to smell on my wife. Clean with an airy alluring effect to it. It's inviting and intoxicating. It’s hard to describe the primary notes (many reviewers smell different notes out of this). I was shocked when I asked my wife to get more and found out this was a $20 fragrance from Aeropostale. I don’t feel like this is a young person‘s fragrance necessarily. It does not contain the sweetness and bubblegum notes that mark many modern feminine scents (which I don't really care for). This is the only fragrance I’ve ever sprayed on a pillow or a piece of her clothing to keep the smell around when she’s not with me. The approachable price is a huge bonus. The performance isn't great, but its a light floral and tea scent (those are never going to be performance monsters because of their scent profile). I might be a unique case but this is10 out of 10 for me.

one of my all time favorites! very fresh I remember wen this first came out in 2007 I was 13 years old at the time! I remember sniffing this for the first time and thought "WOW!" and I just had to have a bottle it smells amazing I believe it is one of a kind! So here's what happens with this scent.. it always gets discontinued and then comes back (eventually)! They have it back in stores 2017! get some before it gets discontinued again I sure did! got myself a couple of bottles! the design is different than the one pictured it's kind of a shame because I really liked the old look and still have an empty old bottle. The bottle is now more square simple plain and modern also instead of a Small:0.5oz an Large:1.7 the sizes are now Small:1.0oz and Large:2.0oz.. but anyways those of you interested in this again this is NOW BACK AT AEROPOSTALE! not sure how long it will be but grab it while you can!!!!!! :)

This is summer in a bottle to me! Notes here are clearly wrong. This is like a fresh-fruity women’s version of Nautica Voyage With sweetness. Smells like I want to drink it. Also the reviewer comparing this to men’s fresh shower gel with a fruity twist is right on. This does have a unisex vibe. I detect watermelon and another tangy fruit (more like kiwi than green apple), watery notes, and light woods. Hubby says this reminds him of a frozen yogurt shop! ? So yes, all the things I love about a nice fresh aquatic men’s cologne, but made for a woman. I can’t get enough of this one! This will be my vacation and summer staple. Don’t get this unless you like very fresh fruity scents. I’ve never tried an Aeropostale perfume before and am impressed with the quality. Lasts around 5 hours on skin/all day on clothes....

I love that this is a trend in the reviews, that for the most part people hate Aeropostale but enjoy the scent. I too was an emo kid and turned my nose up at the brand. But I got a free sample, and wow. I was obsessed. Fresh apples, a not-too-sweet gardenia, and green tea. I have bought and hoarded it ever since. Doesn't last very long, but it's great to spritz on right before something for a mental boost. You feel confident, clean, and while it leans feminine it tiptoes on the edge of it. Will always remind me of being a 12 year old lesbian who was trying too hard. My signature scent in spite of myself. It's a little sharp, a little spicy, and I inhale it like a vacuum.

YES! This is finally up! I can't believe it. I've waited years for this perfume to come to the site so I can say something about it and add it to my favorites. This perfume is gorgeous. I've never received so many compliments on anything in my entire life more than I do with this perfume. It smells like a very beachy, very sweet, very sexy man's cologne. If any of you live with a man, and know what it smells like after they get out of the shower and you can smell men's body wash in the air, that's what it's like but sweeter. I love this stuff and can't believe it's only 15-20 bucks, and can't believe that a place like Aeropostale sells something so mesmerizing.

I bought this as a blind buy from Burlington. Looked up the scent notes and bought it without spraying it. I’ve been wanting a more fresh/green perfume and this is definitely it! It smells so good to me. I wasn’t sure I would like it when I saw green tea as a scent note but honestly it’s a beautiful scent. It’s very fresh but also floral to me. I’m definitely buying the perfume next week when I get paid since the fragrance mist doesn’t last super long but I don’t really mind reapplying during the day. This could possibly end up becoming my signature scent! I’m seriously so in love with it 😍

I got a 100ml in the mail from Amazon completely by mistake, some random fragrance in the box of other things we ordered. The bottle looked unisex, my fiancé and I both smelled it, and it seemed pretty decent. She didn't want to wear it, and I turned my nose up at the Aéropostale label (I was an emo kid in the mall shopping era that Aéropostale reminds me of), stuck it on the shelf and moved on. One day, when my Dolce & Gabbana Light blue was running low, and I needed a quick fresh frag on my way out the door, I said fuck it and sprayed it on. Something about this just works on me. It's fresh, barely a step above a deodorant, but the crisp apple note sticks out for me. Not a sweet apple, but a refreshing, tart green bite on a hot day. The tea mellows things out and plays on the sour apple really well. Gardenia is really well rounded as a note here, not pushing this too floral and maintaining a truly unisex scent to me. The longevity is trash, the sillage quite moderate, but it's a hell of a sporty cheap fragrance that you can really just dump on every few hours and maintain a safe athletic freshness. I feel that this could be nicely layered, since tea and apple would work with something more adventurously floral. I might try that with another cheapie like Elegantly Tokyo by Zara to freshen up a nice white floral stack.

To me, this definitely has some much stronger citrus undertones to it (which I'm fond of) but far from overbearing, it also has much more depth than one would expect out of an Aeropostal perfume, offense not intended at all. It is very fresh, green, floral and citrusy with a slight green and woody feel as well. I do believe it could be a bit stronger and almost feel they were playing it too safe on this one (nothing a good knowledge of layering can't fix though). I seem to strongly disagree with a few other reviews in that this could be a unisex fragrance however, I do feel it is quite feminine despite the green freshness of it, the white florals would make me think twice for sure if a man were wearing this tbh. "Soft, feminine and pretty with a mild sexiness to it", is how I would best describe it so, VERY far from a unisex fragrance...but it is "lovely" in my opinion. Overall a pleasant, inoffensive and rather nice fragrance that can easily go on its own or be layered with a stronger citrus base or a heavier sandlewood or even fresh/green style perfume in one's collection. (P.S. I now own Bayla, Hailey and Promise Me...ALL have been a really nice surprise and I would recommend trying any of the three that could be ranked and mistaken for a much higher end perfume and ALL have been lovely compliment grabbers even.) ☺

I blind-bought this fragrance from Burlington's and came across "Promise me" near the check-out line (that's how they get you. Putting all these frags where you can see them on your way out, lol). Much as I like this perfume, there's nothing ground-breaking about it. It's not unique enough to be worn as a signature scent and reminds me of at least one other fragrance in my arsenal. It's fresh, clean, green, aquatic, fruity floral, but also spicy. I agree with those who say it's unisex. I think it's a safe blind-buy unless green notes don't work for you, but I don't see myself repurchasing it. Sillage is moderate but longevity is poor. This is a good daytime perfume to wear during the summer/warmer months.

I bought this from Aeropostale in 2009 when I was in middle school and wore it regularly. When I was in college I found my (mostly empty) bottle in my closet and decided to try it again - I loved it so much that I bought a new bottle. Sharp, clean, green.

Received this as a gift in middle school (2009) and my crush said it smelled like Cheerios. It kind of does, somehow. But mostly it's a light musky unisex green tea. I wear it to the gym.

I absolutely love the scent of this! It has a mix of a floral & spicy scent. This is by far one of my favorite scents! <3

I got this as a girl, back when the bottle was kind of an upside-down teardrop shape. But I don't really perceive this as a little girl or even teenage scent. It's like a "cologne" for a sporty woman. This feels like something a female golfer or tennis player would wear. Kind of aquatic, fresh, spicy, with a fruity twist that makes it lean feminine.

I found this for a song and did a blind buy—this didn’t work out for me at all. There are many more notes in this than are listed, so bear with me. The green tea just hits right away and is the main note for the whole duration of this. But it’s a strange green tea, like one that’s been stored incorrectly in vats of questionable plastic material. I get a little more grassy feel in the top notes than just tea leaves though, maybe that’s the apple, but I didn’t have any traditional “apple” show up for me at all. I should have known from the light blue color, but Promise Me is an aquatic scent. I know....it’s not listed as one, but there it is. That’s the “bright” vibe people get from it I think. It’s a green tea aquatic fragrance. Yes, doesn’t make sense to me either. The green tea kept wafting up and assaulting my nose just when I thought the dry down was coming to save this. The only redeeming feature is the light musk in the base notes that mingles with the aquatic vibe to make it more unisex and moderately bearable. But then that weird tea smell drifts back in and spoils it for me again. Seems this is discontinued off and on. The sillage is moderate to strong (unfortunately for me) and longevity is moderate, meaning it’ll last through a work day. Unless you go scrub it off, which is what I’m about to do.

It smells similar to light blue by DG. Citrusy Tea scent but it does not even last for even a minute. It is less stronger than even some body mists when it comes to lasting power. Save your money and buy something else !

Blind purchase. Initial impression, i wasn't impressed. hoped for a good dry down, but the scent disappeared within minutes of use. Disappointed.

Every time i try a tea scent i dont like it. I never like coffee scents either, but what is even more strange is that i love both tea and coffee! Wth

So I blind purchased the Endless Wonder one by aeropostale from Burlington last weekend and while testing it at home saw an ad for this one so I looked up reviews. Based on the reviews my interest was piqued and I remembered that I'd seen this one many times but never paid it any mind and I'll at least look up notes for most things I see but I never gave this any attention. So after reading reviews I went to burlington and just blind bought it really cheap $7.99. When I got home and tested, it reminded me of the signature scents at abercrombie from back in the day. I wore it at home 2 times and couldn't get a grasp on it but then today I wore it a full day and im understanding this one. So I found a review for another one from this line velvet romance and really want to try that one because of the violet note. So I went back to Burlington to try to find it but they didn't have it however I picked up 2 more bottle of "promise me" as back up bottles. Its so cheap I couldn't resist. On me it's apple, woods, and Irish spring soap or something similar to that soap. It's very clean and kind of preppy. Im older and did not expect to like this but i really love it. If you like most cologne type womens scents you may love this!!
