Tea for Two

This was my first encounter with a Vietnamese perfume house, and I must admit I wasn't expecting this level of craftsmanship. The composition feels remarkably polished, seamless, and thoughtfully constructed from start to finish. On my skin, the fragrance opens with a gentle flash of bitter orange, providing a subtle citrus brightness before a beautifully rendered Earl Grey tea accord gradually takes center stage. From there, the tea remains the soul of the fragrance, supported by the dry elegance of cedarwood and the earthy freshness of vetiver. The overall atmosphere is deeply comforting and contemplative. It evokes the image of a quiet rainy afternoon, time slowing down as you cradle a warm cup of black tea and lose yourself in meaningful conversation with a cherished friend. There is a sense of calm intimacy here that feels both familiar and sophisticated. What impressed me most is the realism of the Earl Grey note. It smells authentic and natural, capturing the nuanced aroma of brewed tea rather than relying on synthetic shortcuts. Performance is equally satisfying: around 8 hours on my skin, considerably longer on clothing, with a soft yet noticeable projection of roughly an arm's length. This fragrance has left an excellent first impression and has made me genuinely curious to discover the rest of the collection. If this is representative of what modern Vietnamese perfumery can achieve, then there is certainly much to look forward to.
