Mayan Chocolate

This extrait is just what I was hoping it would be--a wonderful mix of natural ingredients that allow the wearer a calming, luxurious journey. The chocolate note is unlike the usual scents mentioned that highlight this note: Chocolate Greedy, Black Phantom, Ummagumma, Amber Chocolate Abdes Salaam Attars, just to name a range of the huge number of chocolate scents already on the market. The opening starts with spicy notes but it isn't long at all when f a wonderful chocolate note appears. To me it is subtle, yet powerful and enveloping. The green notes pop up but they are not showy or distracting. Again, the green is fresh, natural. I am a big fan of incense, and enjoyed the incense wafting up from my wrist. Almost all the notes are trying to be a part of a greater whole rather than taking center stage. The parts exceed the whole and this is what I look for in great fragrances. This is not a beast but a tender scent that will beguile the wearer and anyone close by. I am smitten with this one, which may be why it was recognized with an Art and Olfaction Award.

Now that this is an Art and Olfactory Award winner, I imagine that it will attract many buyers. I will be interested to compare it to a few of my favorite chocolate scents. Its notes are certainly intriguing. I will follow up with a review after I receive it.

This one smelled just like paprika. It was very intense and very savory. I never detected other notes on my skin. This one wasn’t for me.
