I always enjoyed sweet, citrusy fragrances for summer and hot days. I bought a sample of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Vitae to test it on my skin but I found it to be a more female-leaning fragrance instead of the promised unisex performance. I liked it but the performance wasn't good enough for its worth, the decant I bought was 5ml and it cost me around 15$ US dollars. I liked it enough to give it a try again but with the MFK Aqua Vitae Forte as I was told it performed a lot better and was more smooth and masculine. Instead of buying the Aqua Vitae Forte a friend of mine told me about this arab clone and I had to give it a try, I bought the fragrance and for 40$ I'll tell you something: It doesn't smell like Aqua Vitae Forte, it's even better. It's a lot more creamy, strong, and well-rounded. It smells more unisex to me, more sharp. When I wore it for the first time on the beach I got instant compliments from my female friends and a male friend of mine asked me for the name of the fragrance I was wearing, it even stayed on me after swimming for a while in the water. It's an instant compliment-getter, you will smell expensive, and sophisticated, and since it is a little bit feminine I think it's a daring fragrance to wear and surprise people. You will not smell like a bearded, masculine, chest-haired man, it's not a masculine fragrance at all, but the girls love it and believe me: you will too. I will rebuy this bottle, my batch is from 11/23 so I hope newer batches perform as well, spray it 6 times if you are outdoors: behind both ears, on both sides of the collarbone, on the back of your neck, and your wrist. You can spare the collarbone sprays if you are going to stay indoors, It's a really good scent but it's not for everyone and you can choke some people out in a closed space if they don't like it already. Scent: 8/10 Performance: 8/10 (Lasts 7 hours on skin, even more on clothes) Sillage: 9/10 (People will smell your trail) Projection: 9/10 (for 2 hours people will feel you up to 3 feet, after that, it stays on the skin, if they hug you or are close to you they will feel it) Price: 10/10 Overall: 9/10 would rebuy and recommend

This is an underdog stunner... I'm talking signature potential, layer potential, MULTI seasonal potential. TL;DR Best barbershop freshie - until I find something in this lane, this is the best. Smackin florals, airy aromatics, soft dry. Fun for 👀movement👀. Had this pretty little cream and clear bottle in the back of my maturation shelf for a good bit. Maybe 5-6 months. That gold sparkled top calling to me. ---- from the very first spray, I knew this would be a daily or weekly spray. I had no idea what flexibility I was about to uncover. Solo wear: Skin - 10 sprays upper body localized. Attempting heavy aura. Want this to dry down and evolve SLOWLY. lavender opens up to citrus back to lavender and a smack of pink pepper. Spicy floral wind. This fragrance is light enough to hit hard, change its clothes and take off. You want to project that. Clothes - 2 more on top, each shoulder. You want that patchouli and moss dry down to be slow and in your face. Adds a sophistication to the sillage. The open seems youthful but let it work, you're gonna get hit with those aromatics all day and the skin dry scent is intoxicating. Layered - Same ratios, adding coconut or limes on top, something bright and lactonic. But the amazing thing is you can mess with the entire evolution by adding something like more complex spices, more cardamom, clove, anise even. Adding vanilla makes the pepper and patchouli make a chocolate vibe, the mint and citrus elevating that luxury you've just curated. Play with the cheapies guys, you'll find so many fun things to mess around with.

What someone mentioned is spot on! Vanilla, Citrus & sweet spice is what I get! This is such a safe/dumb reach fragrance in a good way. Typical office frag for someone in their 40s and it smells hella expensive! Opens up with amazing sweet vanilla, citrus and peppery-spices. Smells so unique from lot of frags I've smelled however has a old school dna in it. This is like a matured Versace Eros which is less sweet and more spicy. Honestly a lot of people sleep on this one due to the hype for 9am Dive and 9pm. However I'd put this right in between both. 9am Dive is too fresh and generic, don't get me wrong it's amazing freshie, but not unique imo. 9pm to me is too sweet, I usually prefer fresher fragrances, honestly never liked 9pm, I'd wear 9am Dive any day. Again, all 3 are solid colognes compared the price points. But idk there is something about 9am that makes me say wow, okay, wow, okay: mixed feelings. But ik one thing for sure, if I had these 3 colognes only, I'd definitely get bored of the 9AMD & 9PM before this one. It's basic but special. Unique but common. Idk atp if I make any sense but it's very hard to describe kind of scent. Like when I first tried all 3, my reactions were: 9PM: hmm good scent for winter but too strong for me. 9AMD: wow, I love this YSL Y dna but I already have a lot of fresh-sweet scents 9AM: Woah. Wait a minute, what is this? Interesting... Scent: 8/10 Performance: 8/10 (Lasts 7-8 hours on skin) Overall: Solid 8/10

Got this banger for $20. I was iffy at first nothing really solid stating if I'd be good or not. I sprayed it before I went to the gym. First spray nothing crazy right. I'm driving to the gym and I keep getting hit with the smell. I legit got goose bumps. I own over 200 perfumes. Most are under $150. But I love all of them but this one idk it smells amazing to me personally. I'm like over here am I the only one who is in love with this smell. Cause I'm not seeing hype about this one mostly just dive and 9pm and night out which I have all. I went out and bought 3 more of these. Stocking up so I don't run out. So here is a legit review from guy who enjoys all smells and think every perfume has a purpose. This one is amazing summer spring smelling one and yes it last and projects good especially when sweating.

I'm fully agree this is unisex for sure, fresh airy but also warm aromatic at the same time, this is easy to wear and versatile if you want has principle like 'one perfume are enough' you can go with this one. This is very good for exercise, your sweat don't smell at all. Performance are just moderate. I do like this but if i want to wore at night, i will go with other fragrance rather this since i was gourmand lovers. Overall rating 8.5/10 ✨

great fresh, fruity and floral perfumery. Not really long lasting but a good perfume to have for light sprays and also layering. The mandarin, pink pepper, orange blossom, green apple and rose notes really stand out as the core of the fragrance. It can be over sprayed as it won't last more than 5 hours. if it could last much longer, its definitely a 9/10 fragrance.

Nice. I’ve had this for over a year now but really I just started wearing it more now that it’s spring and everything’s starting to warm up and bloom. Last year was more 78 Vintage Green, Aqva Amara, Beach Hut Man, Amyris Homme Extrait and a heavy incense kick... anyways! This is pretty good. Without looking back at any notes this starts off smelling like tart lemon orange and creamy floral, clear as day... next I pick up on some cardamom and a touch of lavender, but what really starts to shine is a cracked pink pepper. This is definitely on a woodsy base, maybe cedar and it’s slightly musky. Definitely unisex and has fairly good performance. Now looking back at the notes, yeah, I can smell most of em. The quality here really isn’t bad. Never smelled Aqua Vitae Forte but I heard this was along the lines of that and if it smells anything like this I can imagine it smells pretty good too, and perhaps a bit smoother. Not that this is harsh or comes off smelling cheap because imo it doesn’t smell cheap at all, maybe not MFK quality but probably not far behind... I have 8 frags from MFK and see how this could fit in. Also, I’ve found that spraying this on after wearing 9pm the night before layers really well

A very, very bright citrusy opening fragrance. It is definitely unisex but leans towards the feminine. I really like the drydown of this as its floral notes start to shine through and make it smooth, almost creamy thanks to the musk note. It is reminiscent of hanging laundry in your garden on a sunny day, surrounded by lemon trees. The base of the fragrance has almost a detergent note but it is very faint and definitely not offensive. I think I have finally found the best purpose for this scent; after your shower on a weekend morning. It is the perfect fragrance to wear on a day where you don't really want to wear perfume. Definitely not blind buy worthy, I personally tried it at the Afnan store and liked the opening enough to buy it. You need to try it before you buy it. With that being said, it offers good value for the money if you're just looking for a fresh, bright, uplifting citrusy smell. It is good, not extraordinary. Given the usage I am putting in this bottle, it will probably last me about 50 years.

Very nice perfume. A citrus symphony at first. Tangerine is definitely the first one in the row. Less than 5 minutes later lavender starts dancing with the rose. The drydown is interesting. I don’t mind it at all although my partner does not like it as it reminds him of rubber/plastic (or as if something is being ironed). Fancy this perfume quite a bit but the performance could be better. It probably has a better sillage in warmer months. Could be worn in many situations but too light as an evening scent. By the end of the day you can smell almost nothing from it. 7/10 Scent = 3/3 Performance = 1/3 Wearability = 2/3 Value = 1/1

I don't know why this one doesn't get as much love as the other flankers. I see nothing wrong with this fragrance only that the scent, although good quality and performance, is a little boring but not in a bad way and I can see why people don't like it as much. It might not be the compliment puller you're looking for but it'll get the job done. I'm very surprised with the longevity.

This does NOT smell like cleaning products 🙄 I was reluctant to get it because of the reviews... This is softly sweet, citrus, lavender musk mix. I love it! And it’s blended well, nothing overpowering. First 10 min it’s more lemon on top, and then mandarin mixing with the spices and herbs. If you want fresh, a bit sweet uplifting citrus with herbs and slightly earthy, get this. 💛

Bang for your buck! I don't know what afnan was trying to clone with this one but regardless, it's an amazing freshie that is unique and invigorating. Performance is just ok but Great quality and very smooth. They did an amazing job with this fragrance. Btw, ti don't know why it's being marketed for women. It's very much unisex leaning a bit masculine. 8 out of 10 👍

herbal shower gel mixed with citrus cleaning products. leans more masculine than unisex to me? the lemon and cardamom stick out the most on my skin, maybe that's why. i kinda like it but i do think you need to sample it first because for all the reviews saying it leans feminine, idk if i would personally wear this but i think i would love it on a man.

Why does nobody talk about how similar this is to Nishane Hacivat (which I think has the same vibe as Aqua Vitae)? I believe this is an attempt to create a weaker, cheaper, and more ordinary version of Nishane. But in generally- it's not a bad fragrance. I find it unisex, leaning more towards the masculine spectrum.

Reminds me of Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche with the bright orange opening, however the citrus is not as sharp in 9am. Middle and dry down is different but still good. Definitely unisex, leaning towards the feminine aspect.

This is a linear fragrance that reminds me of a nice fabric softener and a touch of citrus. Easy to wear anywhere, unisex, and smells clean. I get about 4-5 hours of performance with light projection about a foot and a half.

This is nearly a 1 for 1 clone of Dunhill Icon. Its a little less grape soda and a little dirtier in the opening few moments but those sad about Icon's discontinuation should take heart as long as this cheapie is available.

It ok reminds me of some shampoo. It’s nice for hot Summer days but I wouldn’t repurchase. Nothing really special about it

TLDR: The party is at 7PM, not 9AM. You dress right, come to the right place, but this is not what you expect. Do not blind buy if you want MFK Aqua Vitae Forte. It is not similar. Not even close. Not in the opening. Not in the silage. Not in anyway. In fact, it has nothing close to any of the 3 in MFK collection, vitae - universalist - celestria forte. On its own, I'd give it 3/5. Not because it is bad in any spec of imagination. The scent is nice and fresh. Fruity unisex fragrance. Problem is, it is similar to anything else out there. Anything that isn't in the MFK Aqua Forte collection! Even the pepper gives me the Aventus vibe at some point. Also, the dry down musk is masculine kind of musk. I bought this thinking it'd be like MFK-AVF and I feel betrayed. Now let me try to explain how it smells like to someone who has never smell MFK-AVF and this 9AM. Imagine MFK-AVF be like that you're organizing a marriage ceremony. You hire a musician to play Bach: Cello Suite No. 1 (youtube it if you don't know the song) and thatt will be the expection of MFK-AVF. It's deep and resonating with such a unique vibration that the first note touches your nose and you can say that's MFK-AVF. It's delivered in classical form where each and every nuance tickle your senses in multiple direction at once. The day the dude shows up he's rocking electric base guitar. Can he play Bach No 1? Yes~ (youtube it too) but it's not at all similar! Does it sounds bad? No~ but it's not what you ordered.

I've tried this perfume as I was searching for an affordable scent. I needed something i would use every day and not worry about emptying it. The description shows a much warmer smell than what you get on the skin. At first I sensed the moss and patchouli and it reminded me of something a man would wear. I would definitely recommend it to men who want a light fragrance for the day or the office.

Definitely unisex.. A full blast of citrus when sprayed followed by pine smell.. Gives a feel like Pino Silvestre.. I agree it would initially smell like a strong detergent. The dry down is warm woods, spices with a bit of citrus.. Like 4 hours longivity on skin.. Not to buy blindly.. Its weird but I like it

Fresh, light fragrance that I wish had the cinnamon warmth that MFK Aqua Vitae Forte has. Not quite a dupe for the MFK, it stands on its own. Edit: I'm definitely getting an astringent, dish detergent smell that detracts from the fragrance, if only this aspect was toned down and smoothed out

First of all this isn't a woman's scent very much unisex. Opening can be very harsh with the citrus so DO NOT OVERSPRAY 3 will do completely fine. dry down into some beautiful musk which is clean. not really much else to say a very basic scent yet also unique in a strange way.

I like everything about this except the base notes - my nose senses a hint of metallic back note after the 3-hour mark Its more femme than unisex. "Lemon field in Greece" is the vibe I have better options, prefer to use it as a car/room refreshener :)

Afnan 9am to me smells very artificial at least to me almost like lemon-scented lysol, almost a bit of a woody note, I don't love it but I don't hate it, I'll wear it from time to time but it's not in my regular rotation.

A typical old men's Cologne, not very good, too harsh. If you are looking for something green and pleasent, you could try Eau Fraiche by Dior

Maybe I would like this more if I didn't already own this exact scent profile in an elevated version: Yuzu Rouge. Much like Yuzu Rouge, the top notes are quite nice, fruity-juicy and refreshing, but the dry down turns me off. The combo of moss and musk makes me nauseated. In 9am, the drydown has a terrible, harsh synthetic quality that becomes more and more loud and generic powdery and adds a headache worthy note to the nausea. Despite the promise of the top notes, this becomes a scrubber and it sticks hard. Will have to find the rubbing alcohol to get it to stop emanating from the back of my hand as I already washed with soap and it's still going strong. To each their own but if you're going to spend $40ish on this, do yourself a favor and save up your money for something that is pleasurable and inoffensive from top to bottom. Better to invest in something good quality instead of something that smells cheap ($30-$40 isn't that cheap, btw). I don't mean more expensive=better - not always the case - I mean, whatever you spend on, purchase something that smells quality. If you really like this kind of scent profile, I recommend Yuzu Rouge (this one is extremely similar) Eau d'Orange Verte, Pamplemousse Rose, and Fig Tea by Nicolai.

This has nothing to do with Aqua Vitae Forte, i have no idea who would even say it's on the same scent profile as this and AVF barely have something in common. This is citrusy, musky and quite a lot of ambroxan. The lemon comes quite cheap and harsh on the opening. AVF is creamy, white floral, powdery with a good amount of well done cituses. If you search for a Aqua Vitae Forte clone, this is not. Has nothing to do with Forte line from MFK

Smells like someone who never brushed their teeth took a bite of a fruit. Really specific but that’s how it smells to me. Don’t buy this even if your a woman, this stuff is not worth it and for the $20 you’ll spend on this you could have bought something way better

Afnan 9am was a blind buy fail, unfortunately. The opening is too harsh and so unnatural to me. If you are looking for a soft affordable fragrance in the same category try Eau de rochas or I love Love by Moschino.

This is not for women. There’s a separate dedicated bottle for women. This is for men. Opening is nice, but the Drydown is definitely not for me, way too musky. I’d recommend sampling first.

Very important to sample perfumes first before blind buying as this is a scrubber. Aggressively strongly sharp lemony / lime cleaning agent scent that stays throughout the wear. The 9am pour femme is miles better. Glad I din't blind buy as the bottle is decent.

I have not yet smelled this ( still waiting for middle eastern scents to get to making travel sizes so we can’t stop blind buying sooooo many damn perfumes that half usually get tossed!! But that’s a whole other topic) so I see the MFk this supposedly smells like and yet again? Something with cinnamon in the OG, that the Arabic brand leaves cinnamon out and replaces with either pink pepper or cardamom which do not smell like cinnamon! Grr I’m just curious 🤨 as I see this happening a lot!!? Whatnot why are Arabic brands so adverse to using flipping cinnamon!!!? I’m actually sooo serious!! As a cinnamon lover I have spent hours upon hours on this site and I’ll see a perfume that I like or I’ll see a perfume whose notes I think I’ll like I’ll see a dupe that’s even much more affordable that I can afford but then they never use cinnamon 🤷♀️! I just find that so odd... when you see me leave these weird contemplative comments in the review section I’m not trying to annoy people but I have real curiosities so when I leave a comment like this I don’t mind if you DM me what your thoughts are because I’d like to think of these little boxes is also a place for dialogue.... Like I just am curious why they rarely use it and if they do use cinnamon then I have to see dates or syrup or Apple... I just wanna see some damn cinnamon maybe ginger too OK some Amber some vanilla it feels like they always put cinnamon in and then add in something syrup I can’t wait until we’re done with this clean girl era and we can go back to perfumes with some some heft to them!

Very synthetic, crude and brutally strong—along the lines of Diesel’s Fuel for Life (Homme) but much more abrasive and cloying, and with an unwelcome stale note as others have noticed. If you want to smell classy, stay away from this. It could perhaps work as a gym fragrance—just. It might find some purpose in my collection by stretching out my small bottle of the Diesel fragrance. I bought it further to enjoying Afnan’s Turathi Blue, but I’m disappointed.

I lovr this stuff. Creamy lemony vanilla. I know vanilla isnt listed but I get this allure eau extreme and edition blanche smell, minus the florals. Its more citrusy and vanilla sweet, and lasts longer than both allures. Yes it not the same quality and yes its not as complex but for the price... I love it. Citrus musky vanilla opening and it dies down to a woody sweet creamy cake that can be worn in the heat. Does wonders on my skin.

This is a beautiful citrus and fresh kind of fragrance maybe the guys would like this but def a female type of fragrance imo I think it’s one of the nicest least harshest citrus fragrance, it cuts through the air the right way, it smells nice, sweet clean musky a little earthy even. I like it. the bottle looks really nice, the cap weighs a ton. It’s not appreciated enough i wonder why, it’s an amazing summer fragrance. 3.5/5
