Dehn al Oudh Abiyad

Taking advantage of the Black Friday discounts, I tempted myself with these three Arabian wonders: Musk Abiyad EAU DE PARFUM , Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad EAU DE PARFUM, and Mukhallat Abiyad EAU DE PARFUM. I took them blindly, not knowing what awaited me. If I am not mistaken, Abiyad in Arabic means white, which would seem appropriate for these three treasures. Freshly released into the air, Musk Abiyad is the gentlest and comes as a fluffy cloud of pinkish dust. Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad is the most faithful and resembles burnt syrup from oud sap. Last, Mukhallat Abiyad is the most rebellious, commanding, leathery and camphor undertones. Dehn Al Oud, also spelt Dehn Al Oudh is an Arabic word “دهن العود” and means “The fat of the Wood”. It is the exact name to designate oud oils. In this perfume, oud is polished, in its purest spell, evoking a cold outdoor bonfire. Sometimes it can have a distinctly medicinal element to its woodiness, reeking of plasters or lime-based disinfectant. But here, it’s done right, and with my body chemistry, it descends into a smoky, incense-sweet, leathery richness. Delicate scents of medium musk and herbs round off this fun element perfectly. Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad is a classic oriental fragrance full of musky and green tinges combined with the revisited woody note of Oudh. The fresh citrus, connected with the smell of cedar shavings and a hint of the salty smell of the sea, led off the dance of this otherworldly Arabic scent. A diesis of spiciness from the sweet cinnamon kicks, but given that the Middle Eastern attars and perfumes are fond of the musky accord, a mild white musk joins right after and plays a leading role. On me, the musk pops out almost immediately to stay up to throughout the day. In the heart, a magnificent fusion begins with the appearance of two ingredients, the cedar with a tinge of vanilla. The delicate sweetness of vanilla distracts the fragrance from the sparkling cold nuance of citrus, making it softer. I catch the oud, a polish one, not too animalic or medicinal. Woody and oud aroma harmonies sit next to the intrusive semi-animal notes of musk. The aftertaste of this dance flows into the base fragrance. The musks and woods blend perfectly and form a sort of aura around me, which I feel without bringing my wrists close to my nose. Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad completes with base accords of earthy, woody, mossy, spicy, semi-smoky and sensuous oud, with milky and cosy vanilla. The dry-down exudes an aromatic, herbal, and balsamic facet close to the nose, which I can easily associate with the juniper needles, not to be mistaken with the berries. The Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad is a crowd-pleasing and delightful fragrance, and I recommend it if oud already acquainted with you. It is exemplary for the day but is also at its best in the evening. Inoffensive and safe for the office if sprayed sparingly, ideal from morning until early evening, and suitable for spring or autumn seasons. It does not project too much but lasts several hours as a skin scent. Ultimately, this Dubai gem is just too good. I love the smell, and it stays with me for a long too. I base my opinion and review on a bottle I have owned since November 2022.

This smells very fresh and clean. I smell bergamot, musk, rose, maybe a tiny bit of menthol, something salty. I don't really smell much wood on my skin when wearing this, it does get a little sweet as well. It's probably my own body chemistry doing this, but on my skin this is a feminine leaning soapy rosey, maybe there is a white floral in there as well, fragance...Lovely for spring time and it lasts quite long! There is a review underneath comparing this to Lattafa's Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud, I have both bottles as well and these fragances are in no way comparable at all imho...Ameer Al Oudh is a By the fire place dupe/inspired by...it is very smokey, very woody, sugary and has a very warm vanilla in it, it def does not have the fresh soapy musky slightly salty vibe this has.

I found this on clearance at Marshall's. It's a great blind buy! I get a blast of bergamot in the opening and then it turns herbal, musky, sweet and clean smelling. It sits close to the skin. It almost reminds me of Irish Spring soap back in the 70's, not the current stuff. No oud at all, which is perfectly fine with me. It's lovely and a nice change from the heavy, spicy scents on the market from UAE that I've been obsessed with. This will be great in the Spring and Summer months

A smooth musky scent with a marshmallowy trace. If you are an oldie you feel this perfume as a clone of Jlo glow. It reminds me of the loukoum desert. Good value for money, safe blind buy, if you are into the soft, musky scents.

It doesn't smell like those notes listed exactly. I smell rose, oud, some kind of flower and spice and a heavy salt note. I love it. It lasts a while too. Definitely unisex.

This smells so good. Heavy oud, fresh, musky and a hint spicy and sweet. Unisex but I’d LOVE to smell this on a man. Why isn’t there many reviews for this?

Musky Wood Bomb!!! If you don't like musk then you want to avoid this fragrance. If musky wood is your thing then buy and thank me later. On me, the musk jumped out almost immediately and stayed throughout the day. This is not one of those fragrances you need to sniff your arm to smell. 5hrs later I am still surrounded by a very linear musky wood/light oud scent cloud and it smells beautiful on my skin. Personally, I would have added some citrus in the opening to ease wearers into this experience and that may be what salvages this fragrance for those who don't love musk. Pair it with a citrus-dominant fragrance for a gentler ride. For musk lovers, the performance on this thing is stellar - I used the oil alongside the EDP and I will not be respraying at any point today. Recommended for cooler weather but despite my walk in the sun (circa 30 degrees Celsius), this thing is still going strong. Try this if you want something different. I doubt most people will have a similar fragrance in their collection!!!

Gorgeous perfume oil. Oud definitely and a hint of musk, herbal notes do stand out, somewhat salty and also sweet. This is fairly strong and does last a long time. I have layered it with Tajebni and Al Amakin, both by Nabeel and they go very well together on my skin. If you like or love oud, go for this and you won't be disappointed. I think I know what the previous reviewer means about motor oil but its not an unpleasant note. I wanted to add to this, so I've edited this. My husband who had no clue about perfume notes actually got it spot on with this - he said he smelled wood! I was pretty impressed. My son pointed out the "poopy" note in it - you know what I mean, the sweet and almost faecal accord; that may sound awful to some but its not really and it isn't quite "poopy" just a hint of it. That may just be on me so don't be put off, this really is a gorgeous, oudy perfume.

I was in such a long line at TJMaxx (ready to buy this @$14.99) that I shamefully opened up the box to make sure it was worth the wait. I think this is a great scent. The bottle does not have a sprayer/atomizer so that was a drawback for me, but I thought the creamy oud smell would have been easily worth my purchase. The only reason I did not buy this is because it reminded me so much of something I already owned: Lattafa Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud. Anyhow this is a sweeter smelling fragrance that most would really like. It is unisex, maybe leaning a bit female. For the price, its a great value.

I like it. It’s musky, woody, herbal, a bit fruity and a bit sweet. A little goes a long way.

This oil perfume has a very similar taste to shaghaf rasasi for men

At first, I heavily overapplied, because I am mostly used to roller ball perfume oil bottles. The scent is also a little too bright for me although it calms down later. In addition to the notes listed, I get something citrusy-fruity, some rose oil and saffron. I guess they come from the mix of Herbal and Woody Notes. Nice enough, but don't overapply. Edit: Last time I tried it on, all I got was sharp and sour citrus without end. The kind of citrus you get from mosquito-repellent candles. It was very bad, and it smelled nothing like my other oils that have "Dehn al Oudh" in the title.

Yes it's musky but no oud in it. Blind buy but it's good for sometime. If you like fruity and musky scents this good option but. Lasting and sillage modrate Well not buy again This is opinion and it will be changed maybe next wearing will give me more experience

Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad by Afnan turned out to be a complete miss for me—despite generally excellent experiences with this brand. The scent is dominated by an overpowering, almost suffocating musk that I find not just unpleasant but outright irritating. While someone, somewhere might appreciate it, your surroundings almost certainly won’t. Even at its low price point, it’s simply not worth it. Out of my 300+ collection, this easily ranks among the worst; I’ve relegated it to a bathroom air freshener, and even then only to mask really strong odors. A surprising misstep from an otherwise reliable house. This is absolutely disgusting... there's something medicinal and sterile about it that makes me sick. It's on the tip of my tongue... it's something I've only smelled when I've been sick. If I remember the name of it, I'll update. It smells like bile to me.

If you're someone who really likes Al Rehab's SULTAN, but don't like the lousy performance that it's suffered the last few years, THIS is for you! Sultan is one of my favorite fragrances... Every time I've worn it, it's garnered compliments from women, men and even young people... The wild thing about these compliments and comments, is that the fragrance reminds different people of incredibly different things or places. One that I remember well came from a 50-ish year old lady that swore up and down that the fragrance reminded her of a vacation she'd been on to Italy. I've heard people say that it reminds them of their grandparent's house from when they'd visit as children. I've heard people say that it reminds them of being in the Carribean. For me, this is a very relaxing fragrance that opens with a pretty strong blast of citrus... Lemon, lime, bergamot, notes like that. The opening very quickly transforms into a more powdery version of itself, softening as time goes on. This all happens within about fifteen minutes... Then, an almost "sour" or acrid note joins the mix... Don't forget that great perfumery is supposed to combine both pleasant and unpleasant scents... And this is pretty great perfumery! That acrid note really adds interest to the citrus fruity and powdery notes. Twenty five minutes in, a slightly sweet powder comes out... Then a light rose tone shows itself. The nature of this particular Attar is that when it's disturbed on your skin after application, it somehow re-energizes itself and the notes separate again, letting you experience the progression over again. Later in the life of the fragrance, a balsam tree needle effect comes to the front. Overall, all of these notes play well with each other and last throughout the initial application until the fragrance finally fades to nothing... This can vary on different people's skin, of course. Personally, I find that it lasts all day on my skin as a soft, "up close" fragrance... On clothing it lasts at least two days... It's not a powerhouse in terms of projection or sillage... But it does leave a nice, gentle scent trail behind you. If I were to describe the fragrance in the simplest way, I'd say that this smells like Ivory soap if Hermes had formulated the fragrance... Does that make sense to anyone but me?😁 I don't think it'd be for anyone younger than maybe 25 to 30 years old... But it's definitely appropriate for anyone older than that... Especially men who enjoy smelling "clean" in an old school way. Anyhow... It's definitely worth the twenty or so dollars... Not a safe blind buy, but certainly something for a person who enjoys their fragrances on the "dry" side. Cheers!

A very good quality perfume oil, with decent sillage and lasts quite longer than average oils. I'm very impressed! Don't bother if you don't like oud notes in a perfume . Otherwise, jump right in! As I did, after reading some very very good reviews, by some decently adept members!

I have a sample of this; smells exactly like Sultan Oil Al-Rehab; 99% similar. I bought it on anabis.com Has anyone made that comparison?
