Mukhlat Abiyad

One of my favourite Arabic fragrance oils ever! 😍 In simple words, it's not too ambery or bitterly woody but has a mild woody and generous musky flavour that suits my liking. I get a lot of oriental spicy and sweet notes too of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, aniseeds, etc. It brings a lot of memories and I've used 3 bottles and the scent still is the same as before. 10/10 !

почему-то его нет тут на сайте в спрее! он у меня именно в спрее. отлично подойдёт мужчине на лето,именно тогда я его и носил. он мне очень нравится! на женщине я его не вижу. резкий лак ,вдалеке роза ,которой практически не слышно. долговечность отличная! но...не всем понравится,не покупайте не протестировав.

Gorgeous....grab the oil version and it will stay with you all day.

Beautiful fragrance and smells very similar to Oud Bouquet

I was kind of hoping to smell more rose in it but i practically don't smell any. The opening smells like as if a dentist filled their office with incense smoke but after some time it starts smelling like wet leaves in autumn with of course the incense note still being one of the main things there. It's a really intense/sharp smell overall and spraying it on my wrist once is enough to fill the room with the smell so it is NOT a safe blind purchase, but considering the price you might as well go for it and see if you like it. For now I can't tell if i like it or not since it's summer and it's HOT, but i'm hoping to grow more fond of it in autumn when the temperature lowers down. EDIT: i think i can faintly smell a rose after a few hours and maybe some mint? Just upclose at the skin though (even now the smell is still sharp to the nose)

Dental Clinic - dacht ik in het begin. Wat een teleurstelling. Maar een review onder was positief. De man zei dat laat die geur voor u zelf ontdekken. Geur gaat stap voor stap zich openen en transformeren . Dus afwachten . Een week later dacht ik, nog een keer ga ik poging maken om die geur voor mezelf te ontdekken en .... voor mijn verbazing hij is zo veranderde. In begin is het niet echt fijne met gedachten over dentist,maar halt uur later begint de transformatie en het word van een lelijke eendje een prachtige zwarte zwaan. Het is een volwassene geur, mooi en veelzijdig! op mijn haar hij ruikt wat anders dan op huid en beide zijn lekker!!!! Wat een bijzondere en verrassende geur!!! Ik denk dat na eerste botel komt aankoop van tweede !

This is a middle eastern amber. To me the spices in it add a leathery twist. Very bold and long lasting. I don’t detect any sweetness. It overpowers me personally and I think it would take time for some to warm up to it. Not just because of the ‘challenging’ dna/profile, but to me it comes off as screechy and synthetic when newly applied. Someone else would pull this off better and it may not seem like that. It’s best and it makes the most sense after at least a day lingering on clothes or skin. I’m planning to layer it with a dense sweet oil of some sort for it to fit me better. Otherwise there’s better options out there.

Got the oil version (surprised to have found it at a Marshall's for $15), and as noted by others the notes here are not accurate. Saffron, rose, and oud make for a very rich and pleasant fragrance. The saffron at the beginning is super smooth yet loud and its transition to the rose is also very smooth. It settles down to a very light oud scent, and if you think typical oud fragrances are too strong for you, this may better suit your taste. It lingers all day but the sillage dissipates after the first couple hours.

My review is about Mukhallat Abiyad EdP in a 100 ml gold bottle, not the oil version. A fragrance that commands attention, though not always in the way one might hope. Its opening is unapologetically bold, with a strikingly sweet saffron note underscored by a sour woody edge. An incense-like quality adds intrigue, yet this promising start takes a puzzling turn. Within minutes, a dark, earthy rose emerges, paired with a musky oud that's both assertive and borderline overwhelming. The musk leans animalistic, carrying an unusual nuance oddly reminiscent of baby wipes — perhaps even used ones. While not entirely off-putting, this unexpected association might leave some puzzled. At times, it mirrors a detergent-like scent with a faint ammonia note, though it avoids venturing into the realm of tires, garages, or hospitals, as some have noted in their reviews. The dry-down transitions toward sweetness — almost candy-like — but lacks the delightful, crystalline quality of fresh confections. Instead, it strays into unsettling territory, evoking overripe fruits or a wine cellar long past its prime. This fermenting, cloying undertone lingers persistently, making the fragrance challenging to wear comfortably. Projection is initially powerful, filling a room with ease, but thankfully mellows into a more restrained presence as time passes. Longevity is commendable, with the scent enduring for hours, though its persistence may feel like a burden given the polarizing journey it offers. Abiyad leans toward a feminine profile, but it does not exude the refinement of a luxurious composition. It might suit a cozy winter evening with tea and a blanket, yet it evokes little emotion for me and comes across as an ordinary, musky-sweet feminine fragrance with an unsettling edge. Ultimately, I was compelled to part with it — it proved too feminine, overly sweet, and slightly suffocating for my taste. Even my girlfriend found it unappealing. If I were to assign it a color, I'd describe it as overly saccharine, girlish pink. This is a scent best approached with caution and likely appeals only to a highly specific taste. It reminds me very much of Al Haramain's Attar al Kaaba. Both smell of motor oil on my skin but, while Attar al Kaaba slowly migrates to a fruit-free Sultan, Mukhlat Abiyad stays in the garage. This is a masculine scent through and through. It's very heavy, too with only one swipe of the wand. Longevity is a beast and takes some scrubbing to get rid of it. If I liked the scent, I'd be chuffed to bits with the performance but, as it is, I just can't stand it and will not wear it again. In relative terms, it's quite cheap - I paid £15.99 on eBay - so is worth a punt for the curious. I tried approaching it with an open mind but sadly it's a definite no-no for me. A pity.

I should know better that buying blindly at Marshall's and believing these reviews is sometimes a bad combination. This attar is about as bottom-of-the-barrel as it can be - extremely synthetic saffron shouts over a screechy woody core. The rose, if any, is drowned out by this sickly, rubbery cacophony - at the very tail end of the drydown (which is impressively long) it becomes a more acceptable musky skin scent, but the woody amber core still shouts quietly and is a reminder of the inexpensive nature of these oils. Better to save the money and buy a better blended and higher quality attar for a higher price, but more pleasurable experience. I poured mine into an oil heater as an air freshener and immediately had to throw it out due to the insufferable chemical saffron note.

Sadly as much as I wanted to like it due to impulsively blind buying it- Horrendous. Smells of nasty hospital room shared with 3 dying old men upon the opening. The dry down does ease this a bit, but smells of baby wipes. It has been hours and so far I'm starting to feel sick because of how strong this is. 2/10

The notes are incorrect. From Afnan website we can read: Top Notes: Saffron, Wood and Amber Middle Notes: Musk, Rose and Incense Base Notes: Sweet and Oud Longevity is absolutely great on this one, and oud gets sweter a few minutes after initially opening. Not super sweet, but enough to make it a balanced wear. I am positively surprised and I seem to be wearing it every day now. PS I'm a woman who usually goes for sweeter scents.

This is......weird. A weired scent. Powerful. The oud here is like a hospital cleaning and a rasasi esraa on acid I would say. I' ll give it time. It has quality this I can say I just a matter of taste I also own afnan precious oud which is brilliant so i can detect this is in there also....try before buy This is unique.

Shockingly good considering you can find the oil for USD$15. If you like the opening of Halfeti, you'll like this. It really sticks, though -- I can still smell it after showering, and also scrubbing again the area it was applied!

Very superior product with equally good lasting & sillage . Full value for money product.

I could swear this have a dash of rose and incense too.

I smell rose and saffron in this one.
