Musk Abiyad

Taking advantage of the Black Friday discounts, I tempted myself with these three Arabian wonders: Musk Abiyad EAU DE PARFUM, Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad EAU DE PARFUM, and Mukhallat Abiyad EAU DE PARFUM. I took them blindly, not knowing what awaited me. If I am not mistaken, Abiyad in Arabic means white, which would seem appropriate for these three treasures. Freshly released into the air, Musk Abiyad is the gentlest and comes as a fluffy cloud of pinkish dust. Dehn Al Oudh Abiyad is the most faithful and resembles burnt syrup from oud sap. Last, Mukhallat Abiyad is the most rebellious, commanding, leathery and camphor undertones. Musk Abiyad is a lovely, clean, soft white musk with a rose-tinged floral touch. It unfurls with a creamy, jammy, powdery rose, slightly boozy the first few moments because of the alcohol. I do not catch any citrus fruit here. The queen of the flowers has not the ordinary redolence we are used to but a musky temper from the very beginning. Besides, I bet the orris rhizome is taking part in the mix, as I get the talc dustiness without the metallic slant of the violet leaves. It’s clean, a pure, immaculate halo that surrounds my body. Musky and powdery traces continue in the heart while the rose has moved to the background, and a tinge of something balmy oozes from my warm skin and clothes. It is a smooth balminess full of warmth, with no minty or herbal aspect. In the drydown, the initial creaminess increases thanks to the warm sandalwood. The clean notes of musk echo in the base, this time supported by a handful of oakmoss. If I bring my nose close to the skin, I can feel that intense, slightly animal and earthy note typical of oakmoss, not yet banned in oriental perfumes. I did not smell any trace of sappy medicinal oud in any phases of the aroma, so it must polish white agarwood. Instead, a sweet powderiness pops up later, which I can associate with the spicy vanilla. Musk Abiyad is the safest, most crowd-pleasing and most pleasant fragrance, and you bet, perfect if you are a beginner who would like to explore the flags of the Middle East. It’s the smell of purity and sensuality with a meditative-like effect. An excellent everyday scent, suitable for the office when sprayed in moderation, ideal from morning until early evening, and good for spring or autumn seasons. It does not project too much but lasts several hours as a skin scent. I base my opinion and review on a bottle I have owned since November 2022.

So, this was my first attempt with oriental fragrances. I didn't know what to expect 🙈 With that in mind, I looked for "proven" notes that suit me. What a beautiful surprise!!! I never had so clean, long lasting fragnance. Never. Now I need to try more of them... At first parfume is sharp (only for a second) and then you can smell mostly musk (natural one (animalic?) not powdery one or synthetic one) with gentle rose at the background (but it's so far away that maybe you will not be able to smell it at all). And than you can enjoy in that for hours. Literally. I can also compare it with angels but as a second comparation I could give you smell of a newborn's skin. Soft, little sweet, fresh, alive?...and very rich. And for me this is female scent, not unisex at all. But I can understand why guys love it. If you like stronger scent, clean(est) one, this is for you. If you have a problem with musk don't even try it. Longevity and sillage are more than great and price is even better. From my perspective this is good everyday scent, maybe too strong for office if you love to overspray, for day and night and good for all seasons (but more for cozy winter afternoons and summer mornings). Not a safe blind buy.

To me, this smells like an inexpensive unscented candle like the bottles with the religious icons on them at discount stores and a soapy white musk. Long lasting but stays close to skin-which is fine by me but I under apply perfumes as a rule. It is possible this has stronger sillage if you apply it more heavily. This comes with an applicator stick and a generous amount of product. The bottle is very foreign and fancy looking with artificial gemstones and a dramatic apothecary looking applicator like something out of 1001 Nights. Or maybe the magic fountain of youth potion in Death Becomes Her with Isabella Rossellini. Shares a similarity with Skin Musk by Bonne Bell and Sweet Musk by Attar Bazaar, which isn't in the system. The only difference is that it is slightly sweeter than both and also has the aforementioned candle wax accord. It also reminds me of wax bottle and lip candies sold at dime stores when I was a child with brightly colored fruity liquid inside. This is the first Afnan Perfume I've tested and I'm happy with it.

This is a beautiful, clean, fresh and delicate rose musk, I smell hints of sandalwood but not even traces of oud. I would never know this scent exist if Suhaesa didn't recommend it to me as a versatile white musk great on its own or to layer under other fragrances to soften their edges of to give them an excellent base. And this is exactly that: beautiful after a shower, a swipe on the hand and then spread that all over one's body, hair or even on clothes gives a fresh sensual loveliness but it works beautifully under white florals, powdery musks, etc. Also, I learnt from experience that arabian cheapies may smell very nice but generally, you get what you've paid for and in most cases cheapies just don't smell as a high quality fragrance. Now Musk Abyad is as cheap as you can get but the smell and quality of this fragrance would cost a flot if it had been made in French perfumery.

If middle eastern perfumes are compared to a library, this perfume right here is the ABCD of middle wastern fragrances. This is the most, safe, crowd pleasing, pleasant fragrance you can bet if you are beginner who would like to explore middle eastern frags. Regarding the smell, i smell rose and musk, simple as that. This is totally uni sexual fragrance buy a bit more on feminine size. 60% and 40% men. but this is so pleasant that i would like to apply whenever I'm at home. sillage is moderate as mentioned by other reviewers, but the longevity is more. I can smell this the next day morning if i had applied this on previous day evening.

My ultimate musk love! This one is sweet, powdery, and fresh, so good 😍. I usually live for gourmand perfumes, but I wear this to tone down the sweetness and keep my scent balanced. Bonus: layering it with Taskeen Lactea Divina is pure magic. Absolutely obsessed!

Easily best of the collection. Smooth, smells amazing, light and natural. Smells like a forest fairy, smell left by a touch of the heavenly angel's wings.

Great oil perfume! Good projection and longevity. A musky, soapy smell but the rose also adds sweetness. As an Arabic perfume lover I recommend😍

I’ll describe this scent as fluffy, clean crisp sheets fresh warm laundry. And it performs so well on clothing! A lovely powdery rose!

This is so fresh but sweet at the same time. One of my first musk scents. Got the perfume as well. The Perfect combo.

EDP formulation: It is rosy, pink floral, white musky and powdery... a 'clean' sort of pleasant fragrance that could not offend anyone, underwhelm maybe, but offend, no. Moderate sillage and projection, this is a fragrance you wear without the intention of being perceived by others. It gives me clean baby vibes, not like those of Johnson's baby lotion, but a comfortable, soft baby scent you'd want to get close to for a long hug that would leave you feeling like the weight of your problems are off your shoulders. This is exactly the same scent as Fragrance World's Extreme Musk but is less synthetic. I bought this specifically to use after my evening showers on my skin and on my clean sheets. Don't expect wonders, not at this price with this scent profile. Addendum: I've tested this quite regularly as a bedroom scent and I have some key observations- over spraying is a must to get the best performance out of the perfume, perhaps it's been reformulated but the silage and performance are below average. I've also found myself growing anosmic to it after over spraying, but then I'd wake up to smelling this all over me. I can conclude that this scent would be suitable either in layering or for people whose work environment require them to be more or less fragrance free.

Musk, it's all about musk. The other notes don't come out on my skin, it doesn't radiate much but sits on the skin for some hours. I do smell a hint of sandalwood and maybe a ghost of rose but that's all. I love musk and this one is soapy and clean as the previous reviewer mentioned and I also think it is very similar to Sonia, just more musky. You can layer musk with anything so that is the real beauty of it. ***Edit: I have decided to update this, as the more I wear this perfume, the more I pick up the other notes, or should I say, the note of rose. It is actually fairly prominent and I love it! This perfume is becoming my favourite, actually prefer it to Arba Wardat but I have also layered that with this one and it is a winner. Love, love, love :) ****Edit 2: I layered this with Sadaf and got a coconut note!

To me, this is rather like a reduced-soap version of Rasasi's Sonia. Less powdery and floral, certainly, but I can definitely spot a connection. Musk Abiyad is definitely unisex but some may find it errs a little on the feminine side. It's a very simple, clean musk that's balanced wonderfully with a background floral (I can't detect rose specifically) and a smidgeon of sandlewood. It is a little soapy, but that I find very comforting. One swipe of the wand gives moderate silage for the first 4-5 hours then fades to a lovely soft pur from thereon in. Longevity is fabulous and rolls past 12+ hours more than comfortably. A lovely, cuddly fragrance for winter. A real keeper, and excellent value.

I could see this being really nice for summer especially. When I first smelled this, all I can imagine is just clean laundry, fresh out of the machine, that was full of nice smelling cleaning products. That smell is so dominant it's crazy. I kept smelling it throughout the entire dry down, the exact same. It also reminds me of LV Imagination. Take the soapiness and clean factor from imagination, and two times that by itself, you get this. I personally did not get any rose from this yet, let alone the wood notes, but I might pick it up on my next sprays after knowing it has them now.

As all have said prior, a super clean, uplifting and soft musk with presence. Sometimes it layers well with other perfumes, but it does have a unique twist of light oud added. Comfy, huggy, positive and inoffensive if used carefully. I’ve also found it a lovely environmental fragrance - a couple bottles of the oil added to pure ethanol in a large spray bottle makes a excellent room spray for drapery and carpeting - leaves a soft but persistent atmosphere that lifts the mood.

After reading the reviews here, I bought it and it's exactly like what I thought it would be. A simple very pleasant white musk and floral perfume. Quite a good performance and really versatile too. Very clean, powdery scent. It's not complex and you get what you're paying for but still a very pleasant fragrance. I wouldn't say it's a fresh kind of soapy but more on the powdery side. I used this once this summer (I live in a mediterranean country) and it was just too intense and sweet for the weather. I think it's more of a spring office day fragrance.

I own this both in the oil and the perfume spray version, and although the scent is beautiful and the price is really great too, it doesn't really last on me and the projection is very mild. Beautiful for everyday use though, very soft and clean scent, smells cuddly and like comfort.

Interesting frag. After a super zara-like floral opening it tones down to a nice fresh soap scent. Been using it on my shirts 2-3h before I start work to sustain my softener fresheness.

A pleasant scent of cleanliness, clean laundry, and soap. It's slightly powdery and delicately floral. I enjoy wearing it at work or on slow, warm days. I find it to be a cool scent.

Hmm, this one is not just typical musk oil. It's got some transitions there. It begins with very intimate well-balanced semi-sweet musk with a hint of rose from the background. I thought I was going to love it until the rose steps up and becomes quite synthetic, a bit metallic, and polarising. Then within only an hour span, rose is gone, left with only sharp-as-blade white oud. This one is no soapy. It's solid musk, rose, oud, so it's not from the same tribe as Misk Al Jism. I'm sure Misk Al Jism has synthetic oud as well but more rounded.

I don’t like this because it’s exactly what the name says lol. I personally am not a fan of musk based fragrances but when I tried this after my mom bought it I thought maybe i’d change my mind. When I first applied it it had a beautiful sweet, woody rose smell that I loved. In an hour or two it developed into a very fresh musky scent and I realised this perfume would not be the exception to me. It lasts pretty well though, I showered hours after applying it and I can still smell it.

It is a clean, fresh, but sharp musk. You really cannot go wrong with it... but I prefer my musks milder. Overall the longevity and sillage are not that great.

Smells like rubber with some small hints of something clean in it. Also iching on my skin wtf. The worst ever, luckily it's also really weak and cheap. Maybe recieved a bad bottle considering all the good reviews.

Tried the spray version then the concentrated perfume oil. Agree with the reviewer below that for most Arabian perfumes you get what you pay for. As an inexpensive perfume, Afnan Musk Abyad is A-Okay. The beginning of both the oil and the spray give off a cheap, synthetic citrus floral vibe which quiets down in 30-60 min to a generic, but pleasant musk. 2.5-3 out 5 is my rating. If you are interested in nice Arabian musks, I would go for Asalat Al Musk from Arabian Oud or Body Musk (Misk Al'jism) from Abdul Samal Al Qurashi.

Well this was a purchase that worked out better than hoped. I have tried a bunch of Musk Tahara and general white musks of the Arabian genre. I've not had much luck despite usually enjoying white musk. Most are horribly sneeze inducing. Quite a few contain a bizarre and jarring banana note. This scent is different. It's like an average of the good and inoffensive ideas displayed by Arabian white musks whilst dodging the bad stuff. It's neither loud nor sneezy. It's complex but light. Decent longevity too. Starts with a sugary opening a bit like Al Haramain Madinah and a wee bit of oudh, then moves through a short soapy phase ending in airy ambrette, which I love. It's not expensive. It won't scare the horses. It does the job it is designed for very nicely. Fiy if you love the dry down of this abd want to cut to the chase, try Song of India Krishna Musk.

I was recommended to try this one based on my love of oud, rose and sandalwood, but it's the musk that really takes centre stage (well obviously, as the clue's in the name). But I'm not aware of the other notes as it's all about the musk. It reminds me of my grandmother's coat after her Van Cleef & Arpels 'First' or Cacharel 'LouLou' has clung to the fabric but has become a distant and calmed memory of the 80's power that once was. I'm giving this to my grandmother who is in hospital as it will cheer her up. Great for musk lovers. Clean and slightly soapy.

My first Middle Eastern perfume oil and I love it. I got it for less than $20 and the packaging is legit/bottle is so ornate and beautiful. The smell is definitely rose and musk, but it is more evocative than that. It smells like fresh laundry hanging on the line in the sun, clean, airy, and plush. Not really gendered, and the projection at first is wild but calms down quickly. To me, this is in same family as a favorite, Pipe Bomb Pink by Blackbird. Something that blooms on the skin and smells like wealth.

As its name suggests, it is a beautiful snow-white musky scent. Musk shows us her beauty in soft tones complemented by lush chords roses that smell like cool. Charming bud is pleasantly laid tones of sandalwood and white the members should oil to the whole composition to highlight the incredibly beautiful and very long-lasting fragrance. Musk Abiyad you shackles and embrace sensual velvety tenderness, which is in the oil deeper and fuller version.

EDP version: I blind bought this fragrance because I wanted some cheap and nice smelling arab perfume. I have to say that I was really surprised how it smells because the smell is really pleasant. Smellsl ike some fresh flowers combined with fresh air. I have already received compliments which I don ́t get really often. If you want to smell like morning air in spring time, go for it. I think that this fragrance can ́t bother anyone.

Beautiful, soft, soapy clean musk. It works well for layering with other musk fragrances, and appropriate for all seasons and occasions. Sillage and longevity are decent (about 4-6 hrs on skin). If you are just starting out with ME frags, this is a great, safe pick.

This is a beautiful light rosey musk what projects gently for hours and will last all day , good performance on me, and it just a beautiful scent , I’m a man and will wear anything. This is awesome, I think angels will smell like this

this is a nice, clean, soft, white musk with some rose-tinged floralcy. rather sweet but not cloying. at the price it's got to be synthetic, but it smells really good in a fluffy kind of way. a steal, really.

Incredible. I feel some depth in id which is probably oud. As someone mentioned it can feel a bit moldy baby powder smell, but mixed with afnan pure musk is absolutely cleanest scent ever

This smells similar to ASAQ Musk Jism. Except Musk Abiyad is less soapier and doesn't give me a headache. Sillage is moderate and lasts long on the skin.

Soapy.. really soapy. That's about it. Not bad, but not what I expected 😁 At least it a pretty bottle and it's super cheap.
