Ornament Pour Homme

Apple, cardamom, saffron, sandalwood and amber... but the little sweet notes and the smell of delicious apple last for quite a long time. It has good parameters, longevity and projection. It is not a clone or a fragrance inspired by Azzaro Wanted, it was created two years earlier. It has a tacky, even idiotic and uncomfortable bottle. It was created too early, before the UAE clone machine was in full swing... and maybe that's why it remained so unknown, so forgotten. It is a fragrance far from banal, but it is not particularly original either. However, it is not artificial, it is very little synthetic... and this low price is simply ridiculous. Let's look at it this way, the stupid bottle stays in the cupboard... we don't hang it around our necks and announce to the whole world that we have an original, oriental pendant. The bottle stays at home and the scent follows us. Believe me, it's great, it's worth every dollar. No one will be ashamed of this scent, most of the ppl will not even recognize that it is cheap. If someone appreciates compliments, there will be compliments. I don't like it, my scent is for me... but everyone will get what they expect. If I poured the contents of this Afnan into a bottle of some well-known Western brand, it would cost four times more. No, it is not the most refined, it is not unique, but we know dozens of not very unique, expensive bottles. This one is good enough, better for me than many other famous fragrances I own. "Ornament" will be suitable for virtually any occasion. I really, really like and appreciate this perfume. There are hundreds of Arabic fragrances that are rated and liked by commenters on Fragra... but this one is definitely less chemical, definitely more noble than 95% of them all. I recommend it.

The opening hits you with a sweet and spicy burst of apple and cardamom, with clove and nutmeg adding a warm, slightly gourmand edge. It’s lively but not overdone. An energetic start that feels well-crafted. As it transitions, the saffron and pepper kick in, giving it a warm, spicy sophistication, balanced by a floral touch of geranium. This middle phase feels polished and refined, adding depth without losing the approachable sweetness. The dry-down, though, is where it truly wins me over. The blend of amber, patchouli, and sandalwood creates a smooth, warm, and slightly woody finish that lingers beautifully on the skin. It has that 1 Million vibe, though I find Ornament Pour Homme more balanced and less aggressively sweet. It feels smoother, with the amber and woods grounding it in a way that makes it perfect for cooler weather or evening wear. I could wear it throughout the year, exception made for the hottest days and nights. Longevity is solid, lasting around 6 hours, and it projects well without being overwhelming. For me, Ornament Pour Homme is a go-to when I want something bold yet versatile, offering the richness of high-end designer fragrances without the price tag. It’s a fantastic blend of sweet, spicy, and woody notes that’s sure to grab attention while remaining elegant and wearable.

Honestly, I'm surprised this isn't more popular. It's sweet, gentle, a slight warm richness, and slightly dark. Yet, there's a consistent layer of a refreshing crispness that tames the denser notes at the base. Ornament is an outstanding bargain. It will reach noses from several feet away, and will generally be a crowd pleaser. Along with many hours of staying power, I'm nothing short of impressed. This could fit most occasions in my humble opinion. Particularly for dates, intimacy, casually, and even the office. My skin generally disagrees with fragrances. Not that they stink on my skin, but they tend to dissipate rather quickly. Not this one. All day, all night, next day- still smell it and still smells delicious. What I also love here is that the lines between youth and maturity are properly blurred. I believe that most age groups can pull this off. The notes do well with the cold, and softly permeate in the heat. I really do love this EDP. It somewhat reminds me of several different releases from Montblanc and Azzaro. But to be fair, Ornament stands on it's own legs and offers a different experience than either of those. The performance versus what some of these higher price brands offer is a head-scratcher, as well. Okay, I'll stop boasting. Thanks for this absolute banger, Afnan.

#1586 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I got this sprayette from scentswithscents.com for $4.99. I've passed over this Afnan scent for years because I hate these kinds of bottles. They waste space, are easily knocked over and make a cheap impression. But it's actually a nice scent. Mostly you get cardamom, clove and nutmeg. To my nose this is very similar to Western Valley London "Signature X" which is out there for $200 and up, whereas this is out there for $22. This is not sophisticated scent, more of a shaving cream scent with the classic cedar, sandalwood and patchouli base you find in wood-focused shaving creams. Personally I like standard shaving creams like Cremo "Astonishingly Superior Sandalwood", Taylor of Old Bond Street "Royal Forest" way better than I like the popular gels. So it is sort of an old-fashioned "dad juice", but from the PMs I get from young men around the globe those unabashedly masculine scents are making a comeback, and my female friends in their early twenties kinda like that stuff (just as they kinda like men with jobs that pay for dinner). Good longevity and projection. Inoffensive in any setting. Makes a fresh-from-the-shower impression. If you don't own anything this traditional I think this is a good one to start with. As I went to rate this scent, I saw I was only the fifth person to do so. What the hell? Ornament is a ridiculously good value, monster performer, and excellent men’s fragrance. My husband wore it today which resulted in the latest round of compliments it has received. First, his bus driver told him that “he smelled especially amazing” and that he always notices his excellent colognes. At work, a coworker, who caught his sillage from several feet away, also complimented his cologne, telling him, again, that he smelled amazing. Now, 14 hours after applying it, I can still smell it on him. Once his previous signature scent, Bvlgari Man in Black, became harder to find and more expensive, I bought my husband Ornament, hoping it would be almost as good. Turns out, it gets more compliments than Bvlgari did. It is not a clone of Man in Black in any way, but we both like is just as much. It is extremely well blended, although the apple and cardamom emerge the strongest at first. It is spicy, dark, and fresh, but not in a “freshie” way. If you’re looking to blind buy something, and these notes look good to you, go for it. It’s inexpensive enough to be a safe blind buy for most folks. After a 14 hour work day I can still smell it on him and the sillage remains impressive.

There's something interesting about this frag to me. It's like a concoction of Azzaro Wanted, Axe Apollo, and Nautica Blue, but with really good performance. The main accords claim this is a "warm spicy" driven frag, but I would say apple takes the wheel with this one. Apple and saffron with some cardamom darkness. It's not offensive if you reserve the sprays, as I can wear it to work and class without getting eyeballs glued to me. I don't really get the 1 Million Elixir comparisons, I literally just smelled the elixir today and I'm not finding the similarities (besides maybe the apple). I think the bottle is hilarious, I actually blind bought it specifically for the goofy pixel art bottle, then ended up liking the smell (I'm also a sucker for cloves, but I didn't smell them much). For a blind buy, this is a GOOD value.

Purchased blind on the strength of @Mistress Eva's review and this Afnan fragrance will not remain a 'hidden' gem for too long. There's a lot going on in this fragrance and it's definitely not linear. At the top it's fresh and I'd even say aquatic, which I assume why some reviewers are pointing to 'Invictus' for this fragrances' inspiration. And sure, it has that 'vibe', but it's not a clone by a long shot. Once it mellows down, the combination of cardamom, amber and woods evoke an accord that reminds me convincingly of Stronger With You. However, this fragrance is completely it's own thing. First impressions are it's incredibly versatile and will probably yield a wearer buckets of compliments. The freshness/sweetness is sure to make it a date-night hit.

For me the opening is like smelling sweet apple bubblegum with some spices on the background. Not what I expected and not a clone of SWYA for sure. Actually I don't see any similiarities to SWYA or 1 Million Elixir in the opening. Only on the drydown I start to smell some SWYA at the heart of the scent but not that much. Haven't smelled Most Wanted perfumes so can't compare. The scent is not what I expected but it's still delicious smelling and well made. This is going to be a blind buy for most of the people so if you like SWY kind of sweetness and apple scents you should definitely try this if the price isn't too bad. I'll let it macerate for a month and edit this if something changes. I'd give this a solid 8/10!

Melone has been changed to something else but its very similar to Escape. I feel back in the club again after thirty years. Musk definitely rules in it and I can’t wait my wife to arrive home. ;-) Escape escaped in an hour. As a nonpro I would say Heaven Scent has remained. Great! (Smells like all those wonderful elements you guys always write about :-) ) I cannot name them but simply fantastic. Ps: If I turn the bottle upside down that expresses the essence of the composition. Marvellous allegory of the construction as it rises and blossoms step by step as time passes.

The scent for me its the same as Azzaro Wanted. Sweet apple and some spice on it. You will never regret buying this and the longevity on my skin 8-9 hrs max the shirt im wearing the nxt day you could still smell the perfume, and after washing it i can still smell a little scent on the shrt. 👍👍👍 I had 3 compliments on the day i wear this i smell nice and sweet 😅👍 Nice Blind buy!

I have to say after trying alot of dupes this has to be one of my favourites. The scent reminds me of Paco Rabbane Phantom mixed with One million and slightly Azzaros TMW. For just 25€ this was a really good buy. Scent 9/10 Sillage 7/10 Longevity 7/10 (my skin) Dupe similarity 9/10 Price 10/10 Overall for the price 10/10.

It's like a green apple jolly rancher balanced out with some wood and spices. To me it's an any season and occasion wear. I like it because it's not really a clone of anything and smells unique in my 100+ bottle collection. Nothing else smells like it that I have. Fruity from mostly green apple.

this one starts out musky and Woody, with a warm, fruity, and spicy finish. Great for the summer, and good for spring and fall. It's quite strong, a compliment getter, and super long lasting. I put this on at 9 am and wake up to it still on the skin. Excellent scent.

This is much closer to Azzaro Wanted than to SWY absolutely. Amazing scent, it indeed has some hints of SWYA in the heart but it is mainly enhanced Azzaro wanted, more woody version. Invictus aqua comparison is complete miss. 8.5/10

Smells sweet and super good. Reminds of like an apple candy with some sexyness into it. Safe blind buy. Recommend it very much. Im happy and surprised that this isnt hyped more, so thats the reason I got it for like 14 bucks.

Very sexy, similar to 1million elixir

Just got this in and after the first spray I thought "Wow, smells kind of like Juicy Fruit". To clarify, it does not smell like the gum, but there was a very fruity, almost candy like smell. As it's progressed, I am reminded a lot of Azzaro Wanted by Night. They don't smell identical, but there is a spiciness in this that is reminiscent. Overall, I would say if you like sweet, fruity, and a bit of spice, you will like this. If you like Wanted by Night, this may be a good all year option. I wouldn't want to wear this in extreme heat, but I can see it working all year. To me, this doesn't seem like an appropriate office scent rather it seems to be a 'fun occasion' fragrance more suitable for a younger crowd, but the spice notes calm down a bit of the sweetness, so it isn't overly youthful. Longevity: 6+ hours Sillage: Decent Overall: 7/10 Price: Great
