Oud Rising

I bought this a couple of years ago and was satisfied. Today for the fun of it I decided to wear it and I have to say, I'm blown away! It smells fantastic! It has this kind of "Amouage King Blue" vibe to it, and I get a black currant note, even though there's none identified as a part of the ingredients. For the record l, I'm not comparing this to "King Blue" by any means. Anyway, for the price, totally worth it! 8/10 for me 😎👍🏾

I will agree with the first review, 100%. Somehow even though I'm not into this style of scent, this fragrance makes me be! It's quite masculine but not overly so. It's classy but can also be casual. It's deep but somehow inspires me to wear it in summer too. It's a very likeable and aromatic wood/oud scent that keeps coming in waves to your nose, I'm really enjoying this!

I am impressed with the value/performance of this little beauty. Don't sleep on it! Leans towards the medicinal side of oud, work safe, masculine.

The opening is nice and fresh but then this medicinal oud takes over and becomes dominant for the rest of the journey. I wish the oud was slightly more toned down here or if it was more woody/earthy/dusty instead.

Has that medicinal oud smell. Nothing like tom ford oud wood.

Smelling these side by side and this isn’t as close as people say. Oud Wood is smooth, organic, and really well balanced. This one is louder, sharper, and less refined. smells cheaper (which is fair for the price). The oud profile is different enough that I wouldn’t call it a clone. Maybe ~60% similar at best. Good projection at a distance, but up close it lacks the polish and balance that makes Oud Wood feel luxurious.

This fragrance has past unnoticed but is very good. It's very masculine and first initials notes are some smoke,tobacco,oud woods where sweetness of orange, powdery iris, vanilla and cardamom is near in the background. It's quite strong and projects 1 meter from you.And a great choice and blind buy if you are into masculines fragrances that mix classic and new eras of perfumery in one bottle.

Definitely has a light litchi and airy oud essense to it that exudes royalty from a prince's lair. Two sprays is enough, three is beastly. Lax but carnivorous, XY-chromosomic quality. Ergonomic simplicity of the container, complete with magnetic clasping lid makes carrying and uncapping the bottle useful as an upscale brick that you can throw at someone in the case of an emergency. 4/5

I really don't get where people are saying Oud Wood for this one. I hate to use the O word for a clone house but this seems original. I don't overspray so for me the Oud seems airy and makes a lovely presentation. Before testing it, I thought that the Oud would be animalic or medicinal but I found it is none of that. It is a clean oud that could be worn daily if you so choose.
