Supremacy Noir

On immediate spray down it can almost fill the room But dials back to arms length quickly. And then that seems to last a half hour to an hour. Then it’s a skin scent. And it’s gone in no time, like 3 or 4 hours. Oh the oils in these Afnans are nice. But they need more or something . I would kill for a nuclear scent in this profile. And it is desperately needed. Must be hard to pull off ? This does better than Rasassi erga or Lattafa Raghba. Even Cool Water. This Afnan Seems way better quality than all of those . I only paid $18 and It smells so damn classy. But it just does not last that long. None of these cool water , Beautiful Irish spring scented Types ever last long. It out does the Rasassi Erga. So much better quality. And they say that is the longest lasting eof the Cheapies. Heck my one man show oud edition out performs this. Bad layering idea. But shows how good the Bogart cheapies perform. Way better than this. It was $10.00. With a name like Noir and with the Black bottle the last thing you’d expect is a green scent. Irish Tweed like scent. This has the cut grass and all of it. Probably the closest to Layton there is. Green Irish tweed not Layton damn ! Well that I have tried anyways. Mouth watering citrus. The fresh cut grassy like notes. It has some Ralph Lauren Old school 80s type of vibe with the pine. Or is it Juniper ? I want so bad to love this that it’s not even funny. But with 18 bucks I’m going to suggest doing better. If possible. I don’t know if there is in this profile. Think I’m just going to give up on this Irish dream. They never last. Unless you want this scent profile for cheap. Maybe it’s better in $200 -$300 price range. But for this scent profile don’t know if you can do much better. Not for $18. But you can do better otherwise. It’s frustrating because I love it.

This is most definitely an attempt to clone BV. Like most clones, it's not as "smooth" as the original and you can tell the difference comparing side by side. Having said that, though, they're extremely similar, and no one around you could tell the difference, especially since BV barely projects in the first two hours and is a skin scent afterwards (if you're lucky). Not saying Noir is a great performer, but it's definitely better than BV in both projection and duration. If you don't know what either BV or SN smell like, they're definitely a modern reinterpretation of a 70s/80s scent (think Aramis, Polo, Safari, and piney kinda vibes). I personally love it. It's a manly smell that harkens back to the days of hairy chests but in a much more subtle manner, and there is definitely nothing sweet or aquatic about this one. I would like to think anyone over the age of 18 could sport this quite well, but it's probably meant for more of a mature crowd. You could wear this in the office, as it's warm and inoffensive, but it's not a subtle/unisex style that most people associate with today's office scents. The older crowd (40+), especially women, would certainly appreciate this, but I could see how it could come across as douchey if some young dude-bro showed up swimming in it. In the end, if you enjoy the throwback scents, I highly recommend this. BV isn't nearly worth the money given its abysmal performance, but Noir is fantastic in my personal opinion, especially given that it's less than $30 a bottle.

Opens fresh and green, yet dark, but not in a polarizing way, in fact this is quite a mass appealing scent without running the risk of being redundant or boring. The opening reminds me of Bentley for Men Absolute, but much less woody. The mid to dry down reminds me of ADG Profumo minus the aquatic notes. This is a very nice masculine scent that I think is slept on in the fragrance community. I get very much designer quality vibes with this one, meaning that it's nothing extraordinary, but certainly a crowd pleaser. Sexy, fresh, green, with the right dose of darkness coming from the leather. Every note works well together and don't outperform each other. This was a blind buy for me, and based on the notes, I was hoping for a unique take on the barbershop fougeres of the 1980s. But that is not the case at all. This smells very modern and on par with mainstream designer fragrances of today, but very unique in its own right. Longevity is decent, about 7 hours on my skin. Projection is good, but not very strong. This fragrance is very versatile and I think can be worn in almost every situation.

One of my best hidden gems. Very mature, clean, and fougère-like. I’m a bigger, taller man with black hair, dark eyes, and a beard, and this fits my frame very, very well. I’ve been looking for fragrances with this kind of presence. The violet and lavender make it slightly too powdery at times. I also smell some iris in here. It’s not bad at all, don’t get me wrong. I just wish that side of the fragrance were dialed down a little. But the spruce, pine, and patchouli make this such an amazing masculine fragrance. Deep, green, clean, and very mature. The leather note is okay, but not the best. I also wish it had a little more citrus. The bergamot is nearly unnoticeable, and I think a touch of pineapple would add a subtle fruity brightness and make the whole thing even better. Still, this is excellent. 9.25/10

I was doing grocery shopping and I smelled this scent in every aisle, and it got stronger near a couple... i couldn't help myself but ask the lady what she's wearing and the man showed me the bottle and was even nice enough to spray on me. It can be unisex for a very confident lady, and for men, it's a subtle masculine scent. It reminds me of Armaf Club denuit women, which I also wear, and the Erba Pura inspired Armaf Oud gold but fresher. Lingers and it's been hours and that one spray from the man is still on me. still super strong and the people in my house have commented how nice I smell. Somehow, it reminds me of Christmas as well. hehe

Woody and balsamic. This reminds me of Oscar de La Renta Pour Lui, which i love. Not the scent itself but the style of the fragrance. Perhaps, Jaguar Imperial is a closer fragrance scent-wise to Supremacy Noir. It's an "old school" type of scent but it's not dated, not at all a dense frag, but definetly aimed towards more mature men. Actually caught me off guard cause it's a beautiful scent and quite classy. As with all Afnan's i own, the performance is my only criticism, although this one does last a little bit longer than the fresher ones. The "noir" tag pretty much tells you where and when to wear this.

Where do I begin? Afnan Supremacy might slowly be becoming my favourite range. This is the third one I have, and it might be my favourite because it isn’t like anything I have ever owned. I do not know the original of which this is a dupe, but this is strong, sweet, and subtly masculine. More of a date-night autumn/winter scent, though I do wear it in spring too. It lasts a long time on my skin—maybe 8–10 hours—and lingers for a good while. It’s extremely sexy, and I have had many compliments on it. The dry-down is even better than the top note, with its leathery, spicy notes. 9/10

Instant woody, piney love. A little bit resinous, lightly sweetened. Had been eyeing this one for a while, but some of the reviews made me hesistant. I have serveral others from the line, all o which smell of quality to my nose, so I finally grabbed this one, and I'm glad I did. Haven't smelled the Botega Veneta this gets compared to, but I don't really care if this is clone or not; it's great on its own. It actually reminds me a bit of Quorum Silver even though cedar is not listed among the notes in this. Recommend for guys who like pine-forward and woody frags.

Yaas ! I love botegga veneta pour homme. I just bought a back up bottle for a good price, but it's going to stay in the drawer for longer than I thought. This comes extremely close and with a better longevity. It doesn't project as much, but lasts longer. In the far dry down it does it's own thing but BV does basically nothing so another plus. Not for the boys. This is manly as fuck. It's (like BV) a modern twist on an 80s style aromatic fougere with a lot of that late 70s early 80s pine. Smells awesome. Signature scent worthy imho.

Balsamic bomb, a woodsy walk, a pop of pine and whole lot of masculine. Would not wear this one is the heat and I'm usually a proponent of wearing what/whenever. Not reminiscent of MM Replica Soul of the Forest - but I understand the connection. Wearing both gives of an incredible walking through a cedar forest after a devastating storm and there's a lot of buff dudes cleaning up. Lasts long enough, drys down very very woody on skin.

This is truly up my alley; reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Bois Pacifique. It’s got that same feeling of settling down in a pine forest after a scorching day - golden hour sunshine still lighting the tops of the trees slightly swaying with the slowing breeze. For a little over 20€ this is an absolutely amazing deal, and if you like Bois Pacifique this will definitely scratch the same itch for a fraction of the money.

Supremacy Noir is about 90% clone to Versace Oud Noir. This is slightly less fruity than Versace because it’s missing the orange blossom note. This is very unisex. I’d say it leans slightly more masculine but females could rock this too. It has a classy dark cologne scent. Longevity: 3.5/5 Scent: 5/5 (to me) Price: 5/5 (got mine for $25 for a 3.4 oz) Silage: 4/5 Bottle: 4/5 Overall: 4.3/5

Think of an 80s classy fougere (though not classified as such) modern version..gentle but assertive greens spices and wood ...not like the unisex trans crap being regurgitated out there. I could see a Bond like character rocking this. As an aside, I couldn't deal with its brother SUP INCENSE..smoke note overwhelms that one from the get go.

Wow, I absolutely love this scent and a very good clone of Bottega Veneta pour Homme Extreme. No harsh or chemically opening, smooth from the first spray. Woody, piney, leathery, green spicy scent, masculinity in a bottle, old school fougere. Absolutely get this instead of Bottega Veneta pour Homme Extreme.

This scent really grew on me after the initial spray (which I hated). 2-3 hours after applying, it starts giving off this salty woody vibe which is so unique. Plus the longevity is better than most designers out there in the same or higher price range. This is the perfect scent for a rainy day!

Wow just wow!! What a great clone of Bettega Veneta pour Homme. I am very surprised by the quality of the perfume and the bottle. The price is super low for this quality. Usually I don’t buy clones and arab perfumes, but I made an exception, because BV is discontinued and I am glad that I did!

absolutely stunning, but not for beginners, I'd say for 35+ or mature noses. For some may be too dark and resinous. Performance is much better than expected. I would not recommand blind buy unless you love Bottega Venetta PH, than it is easy blind :) 9.0/10

Bought this a year ago and wasn't impressed, so I left it on my shelf. Smelled it tonight and it's incredible. This is a rich, dark, woody, and classy fragrance and now I can't stop smelling it. This is incredible.

It's a wonderful scent. Wonderful. It smells similar to Bottega Veneta pour Homme but taking a risk we could say that it's a descendant of the great Aramis. It's not a weak scent but it's subtle.

On a recent trip to Dubai (Mall of the Emirates) I purchased 2 Afnan fragrances from their small kiosk inside; Supremacy Incense and Supremacy Noir. As I mentioned in my review of the former, both the bottle and cap are very high quality in terms of both the look and feel in the hand. I find 'Noir' to be a somewhat misleading choice of name in this instance along with the dark metallic black bottle. To me, anything 'Noir' or 'Black' invokes thoughts of sweet/spiciness. This does have notes within the listing that should in theory provide some sweetness but it comes through (to my nose at least) in a fairly limited way. For me, this is a 'Green' fragrance and as others have mentioned the Pine and Spruce are the stand outs. The remaining notes such as the citrus/violet on top, leather/lavender in the mid and patchouli/labdanum in the base offer balance to the greenery's bitterness. I am finding the performance and sillage to be moderate, I do get the occasional whiff from my arm but really have to get down and smell the sleeve to remind myself what this is like. This is a 100% masculine fragrance, I believe it could be worn all year round, both day and night and is entirely office safe. Now that I've worn it a couple of times, I'm going to let it sit for some time in my drawer at home and see how it changes over time. For me, this is a 7/10 straight out of the box, like not love although I will absolutely reassess this in the future.

This fragrance reminds me quite a bit of one which up till now I thought was very unique. That fragrance is Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland. It's fresh and piney and quite green to my nose. One comment a friend of mine made on Patrick and that I think is true to this too is that it smells kind of fresh in a shaving foam kind of way. I couldn't put my finger on it till he said it. Normally fresh either means like the ocean or citrus. This is a bit different. Maybe that 'barbershop' smell people always go on about, but I think your dad's shaving foam hits the mark. The opening is also pine, but much more intense. If you've ever had Retsina wine in Greece it's that kind of pine. It's not the only note, there's other stuff going on. A pine dominated bouquet. I don't get the leather, lavender or violet. Just the pine. The rest combine in the background. Overall this is a fine fragrance. I think some people will definitely love it so it's worth investing in a sample of it to see how it strikes you. It's performance is only ok, it never projects like crazy. It'd probably work well as an office scent. No choking out but when someone gets a whiff they're probably just going to think 'fresh and crisp' Projection: 5/10 Longevity: 4/10 Quality: 6.5/10

It is really interesting and deep EDP in such a piece segment. The top is extremely fresh and dynamic, with both woody and bitterly citrus notes. The middle is the most pleasant for me, coating and giving a scent of pine trees warming under the sun. To the point of heart notes it actually doesn't feel like an arabic scent at all. However when going under, it develops this hard, intense balmy character, that gives away it's oriental origin. Nevertheless I consider Supremacy Noir a rather delicate scent, when you're using it right. As my skin type tends to evaporate fresh top notes really quickly, I think it is good to spray it on the clothes. These way the piny aroma lasts for hours. Try using it in summer or warm spring on dark clothes. You can notice than, that it goes subtitle and intimate inside, but rather contrastingly intensifies on the sun. It feels like the Supremacy Noir becomes your second shadow.

The opening is almost identical to bottega veneta pour homme (BVPH*), but then it goes into different direction. The pickled pine smell of bottega still stays but the sweet part goes towards leather/fake oud-ish sweetness instead of the patchouli sweetness of BVPH. There is no exact Cola smell, I can get it why it makes people feel like it Coke cause it has a fizzy sweet citrus mixed with a darker something and that's kinda like the nature of Cola, but it doesn't exactly smell like it. Likeable, all year around fragrance. You can really wear this anytime, just like BVPH. Great signature scent if you like BVPH but you want something a tiny bit smokier and cheaper. Both are rather like skin scent, not much projection but it I wouldn't call them weak. Drydown: 95% identical to BVPH, the base is different if you smell it up close, and the high notes (citrus/pine) is sharper than BVPH

Like the lush, green opening of this one, inexplicably named "Noir." There is nothing really "noir" about it. It's like a walk along a flowered path at the edge of a forest, in a somewhat synthetic (but still nice) kind of way. The only thing I am not really feeling is a sort of musky background to it -- I can only guess that it's just an unconvincing version of a leather note, but it does come across as "makeup baggy" sort of musk, and cheapens up what would otherwise be an even better clean foresty go-to. Longevity and projection are both somewhat below average, given my resistance to over spray. Your mileage may vary somewhat. No idea on the sillage, but I don't imagine that to be very strong as well. This is a tame one. I like it, but I don't love it.

I am intrigued by this scent. I get piney, fresh, dark-woody and leathery vibes. I don't know how it is fresh and dark, but this somehow does this. I think the lavender and pine reflect the fresh and some of the woody notes. The leather is nice, it is not overpowering or gross. I think someone who is not a fan of leather would still wear this with the other notes attached to it. This is geared towards men and for the price it's a no brainer. I'll check back in and see how long this lasts, but after an hour I don't have to go close to my skin, or have nose blindness. I think of a business casual setting, or a semi-fancy date vibe. Not too formal, or too casual. Scent rating 7.5/10. I would wear this again, but not a lot...if that makes sense.

It’s very masculine, and very woody. I bought it in hopes of getting something a little Christmasy for this past Holiday season, but alas, it did not live up to my expectations. While it is woody, it lacks a lot of the greener notes that I was hoping for. Despite that, it’s still quite nice for what it is. I’ve never tried Bottega Venetta, so I can’t compare it to that at all, but what I can say is that it’s a good, slightly old-fashioned men’s scent that comes off as very sophisticated and appealing. The performance is decent, too, but nothing amazing. What I want to try at some point is getting Christmas Tree by Demeter and mixing it with this in a decant and see how it goes.

This was not what I was expecting. For whatever reason, I thought it was going to be pinier (not sure that's even a word?). More powdery than piney, and a touch floral. It's nice, though. Pretty light. Weak projection, and zero staying power on my skin (30 minutes after spraying, I can't even smell it). Going to let this sit until fall and see if that helps? This is definitely a classy, mature scent. Totally office appropriate. Hoping its longevity/projection picks up once it matures a bit and the weather cools off. I like, but don't love. Would totally dig this if it were stronger. Layer this with Lalique Encre Noire/MA Anchor Black. A masculine lovely combo.

Opening: The opening reminds a mix of rosemary, cola and jagger. It does feel a bit like if I sprayed myself with cola. 7/10 Later: The opening notes stay, though at the end with visible patchouli and labdanum. 6/10 Projection and sillage: The projection is moderatish, on the weaker side. It's nothing crazy, doesn't give a huge cloud. That's the element that I wish were better. 5/10 Price:quality 6/10 Overall: I'd say it's a quite pleasant perfume, if you like herbal notes. I got a decant and while I'm pleased with the smell it does lack a bit more projection and sillage for my taste. Notably, I got complimented for it. Overall grade: 6/10

There's a third, a wonderful fragrance of a series of Supremacy. Noir - as rampantly seductive passion Noir - a heady mystery night Noir - as charming and irresistible game. Subtly spicy notes show the modern concept of elegance combined with echoes of the forest, which is dominated by pine. With a hint of sweet fresh echo, with flashes of citrus to completely free up space for the emergence of woody patchouli soap with its notes of earthy green. Connection warmly animal skins and labdane suggests irritant perfume, which is enhanced by a mystical fragrance of rare resins and touching the delicate floral nuances.

Well this is funny. I tried this again today and the first thing that came to mind for some reason was the opening of Jubilation XXV, which by all accounts should have little in common with SN. But that vibe is there, minus the blackberry and spices. The mid kind of wanders off into something muskier, but that vibe still pops up here and there throughout its life. Not much more than a tangential vibe, but possessing of a certain family resemblance - like a younger, simpler cousin of JXXV. Missing a few too many key notes, so it comes off as discernibly cheaper, but it really isn't bad. This may yet grow on me.

This fragrance is a surprise in a bottle. The OG is very unique. I wouldn't think that a pine forward scent would be appealing, but it actually is. Its blended to perfection and all of the notes in the list can be distinguished. It projects beautifully for a couple of hours and then quickly vanishes. Its cheap enough to carry around a decant on the days that you decided to wear it. I will enjoy this decant, but probably won't purchase a bottle although its only $20. I am glad that I tried it! 8/10

Definitely smells like Bottega Venetta Pour Homme EDT but like a much cheaper and less well-blended version. Those looking for a replacement for BVPH will probably be disappointed, especially if they're doing a side by side comparison. Better performance than BVPH but at the cost of feeling more synthetic and strident. The scent profile is great but it's just too much here, like it's not confident enough to just be and instead shouts to be noticed.

After my second try of most of the Supremacy line fragrances..i would say that Noir is the most elegant one inbetween all the bottles.. it's a mysterious gothic scent.. The opening is a bit sharp but doesn't last long.. The dry down has cola vibe with a hint of incense.. Masculine and suitable for winter nights and cold weather.. The performance is as balanced and attractive .. 8/10 ..

Pine is the star of the show, It is a darker scent not sweet, 5 hours longetivity and I paid 15$ after tax for this. I think If it is chilled in the fridge for a while it will remind you of walking through a snowy path filled with pine trees. Excellent value for the price.

I dont know why, but this one heavily reminds me of CDNIM for some reason. It might be the bergamot. But overall, decent fragrance. This one isnt for everyone though I wouldnt blind buy

Super masculine fragrance. It has fresh dna like most of the supremacy line. It is by far the most mature of the line. It is a really good fragrance, but not a good blind buy.

It's a good scent. I wanted to find something that smells like the woods, pine etc and I got it. However, be warned, that this is a mature grown man scent, like 40+

Earthy, grassy and woody. You are taking a hike in a forest of pine trees. That is what this is. Not a must buy tbh, but it is a nice addition.

Green, dark, and "faux" woody flavor. A new flanker Afnan Supremacy Incense is another close relative.

Yep, it's a copy of BVPH, Extreme, to be exact. In other words, it smells good and forest-y.

Smells cheap and unbearably generic. The notes look great and they make me feel like this fragrance will remind me of a high altitude hike, fresh and green filled with a hint of sharpness from spruce. I smelled this fragrance with high expectations and ended up with nothing but one of the most outdated scents that certainly lacks character. This becomes sort of tolerable after 4-5 hours where it tones down to a sweeter and somehow creamy pine smell, but before that, it is just horrendous. If you're leaving home at 8, just wake up at 4 and spray this to your neck and clothes, it will smell okay around the time you leave, lol.
