Tobacco Rush

I will return to review this further once this has had the chance to macerate. So, first impressions. The tobacco is a photo-realistic one of either the most pleasant snuff unchewed or smelling a nice cigar before lighting up. The tobacco is strong at first, but it's accompanied with some nice sweetness to give it balance. Now, to my nose, this actually sweetens up more in the mid. The drydown is where this gets a bit darker. The tobacco is there the whole time and the oud doesn't distract from the overall scent...this one just adds some woody depth and I have to be careful with oud as I'm still forming a palate for it. I'm a big fan of tobacco based frags and this one definitely scratches the itch. Now, the reason I will return to update because I don't think this juice is punching quite the way others are describing it. Currently, it's projecting several feet for the first hour, but it's turning into a skin scent after about 5 hours. I sprayed this morning and 7 hours later it's still here, which is very good because this will get stronger. I know this could be divisive towards those that don't dig strong tobacco, but I love this scent DNA to the point where I don't care lol. This is one of those I'll wear for my personal enjoyment. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 8/10 Silage: 7.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 (will update after maceration) Seasons: Fall and Winter Who (purely subjective): Masculine, 30 year olds + Price: 10/10 Overall: 9/10 Update 11/22/2023: This has only gotten better since the initial impressions. It's more well-rounded. The tobacco smells like an unlit cigar, like the tobacco inside one of those. The sweet notes and spices does well in pairing with that tobacco. This is sticking to skin longer, and may continue to do so. Projection and longevity are great. After the 4 hour mark, this sits closer, but not a skin scent until the tail end of the journey. This lasts about 10+ hours on my skin...I don't spray this on clothes because I'll end up smelling that for days. I accidently sprayed this on my shirt this past Sunday (4 days ago) and I can still smell it pretty strongly. So, beware of spraying on clothing. Beware of your sprays if you're in temperate to hot climates and if you're wearing this indoors. Overall, I love this stuff! Again, big fan of tobacco notes. I have nothing like this in my "mini" collection, so I'm pleased. Reviewed after full 10 months ageing. After allowing Afnan Tobacco Rush to mature for 10 months, the fragrance has undergone a remarkable transformation. The initial sharpness has mellowed, revealing a smoother, more rounded profile. The tobacco note, once bold and assertive, has softened into a more subdued, sweetened scent. It's reminiscent of aged tobacco leaves, their natural sweetness enhanced by time, without becoming cloying. A subtle cedarwood accord has emerged, adding depth and complexity to the composition. This woody note intertwines seamlessly with the tobacco, creating a harmonious balance that was less apparent in the initial stages. In the opening, the tobacco note is prominent, enveloping me in its deep, aromatic presence. This is complemented by woody accords that add depth and complexity. During the transition phase the intensity of the tobacco softens, revealing a more subdued sweetness that's not overpowering but adds a layer of warmth and comfort. The texture becomes noticeably powdery, lending a soft, velvety feel to the scent. This transformation adds a sensual quality to the jus. During the dry down the cedarwood introduces a subtle woody nuance, enhancing depth. The overall effect is warm and sensual, with the powdery texture persisting. The overall experience is one of warmth and sophistication, with the maturation process enhancing the fragrance's depth and longevity.

Nose Note #915 I was staying away from this for long thinking it might be too similar to Red Tobacco (which I love, I just didn't need a clone). Now that I've run out of it almost I bought this. Oh man, what a pleasant pleasant surprise. First, this is very different to Red Tobacco, it won't work as a substitute, not even close, it's just a different tobacco scent with different spices, different sweet notes. I also have Black Incense Malaki and Al Areeq Silver - well... It sort of has the vibes of Black Incense Malaki, but ultimately it's very different and it's a tobacco scent first and foremost. Al Areeq Silver - very far away, that scent is super leathery and poopy. Tobacco Rush is just beautiful. Everything about it is well done. Ultramasculine. Very very strong - as strong as Red Tobacco. Great sillage. I think this is an amazing scent and it's not even debatable if you want to get serious. All you have to do is smell the truly crappy perfumes that are trying to do the same thing and smell this... Not for faint of heart and unexperienced noses! 9/10, worth every cent. I can't imagine how Mystery Tobacco can be better than this

Probably the most affordable tobacco-heavy fragrance on the market right now. And what a bang for your buck. Still pricy for an Afnan but extremely cheap for a tobacco scent. Sure, there are a few cheapies that have tobacco notes in them but if you want to satiate a real tobacco-lover, or you are tobaccurious, you should start here. It's more of a mishmash of other popular fragrances than a direct clone of anything, ultimately making it pretty unique. It starts with a strong dry tobacco leaf note that stays in the drydown. Others have said that it has some leathery notes and I agree, though it's not overly strong. It has a bit of a sweetnes, but it's not a sweet tobacco fragrance like Red Tobacco. It's a dry tobacco that has sweet notes. Like eating a sugar cube with dark chocolate, if that makes sense. Ultimately gives a kind of 60's mobster vibes in a good way. It has a good 8-10 hours staying power with pretty good sillage, not on Red Tobacco's level, but still, a few sprays will go a long way. Also, it's in no way unisex. Masculin as hell.

The tobacco accord is just wonderful. Wanted to buy red tobacco, but it's overly sweet for me. Maybe that's more unisex. Tobacco rush is masculine, presenting a ballanced, realistic tobacco, sweetened with some kind of dark chocolate, I get roasted coffee, vetiver, dry spices, maybe some leather... Great composition. I'm so glad there's no oud or smoke. Clean finish. Imagine tobacco vanille, completely without valille, with a real 10x boost on the tobacco. It doesn't make me wonder, or dream about stuff, it's not a fairytale with a long story... It's a mood. A long-lasting (8h+) vibe and it's so different in a world full of sauvage, aventus, phantoms, bakkarats, delinas - it's mature, serious and doesn't lie, . I would love it louder, but Afnan thought that this should be well-mannered. Maybe it's for the best. 10/10 - masculine tobacco fragrance, makes me sniff my wrist all the time, good performance, and surprisingly good quality for my nose, decent price and that's what I want for my fragrances to be like.

Really good scent! Considering the price - it is a 'must have' for those who like tobacco-ish fragrances! As the comparison is concerned I see a lot of people who find it close to Tobacco oud by Tom Ford. My humble opinion: it is way more sweeter and goes much closer to Red Tobacco (Mancera) while Tobacco oud is going (especially on and after the middle stages) to the Laudano Nero (Tiziana Terenzi) direction - more dry, less sweet almost sour, probably because of the Incense - Oud combo + some other ingredients. Back to Tobacco Rush - it has some leathery undertones which are quite interesting and give an additional interesting vibe, at least from my perspective. I don't detect the Lavender note (which I rarely like) it probably has a supporting role for the entire composition. To sum it up: it is one of those fragrances which push you to sniff your hand with pleasure hours after the application!

One of the better "Carlisle/Mystery Tobacco/Red Tobacco" smell. It is the same sweet warm spicy tobacco smell, however it has a beautiful oudy opening, that sets it apart. It dries down to become more powdery compared to the other 3. Having this if you have other similar scents, would be redundant, particularly one of the aforementioned big three. I love it but having CH Mystery Tobacco (which is my favorite from this olfactory line) deters me for buying it.

Basically a blend of a cigar humidor and the inside of a leather finished new luxury car. I dont really get spicy notes. Not that I miss them, this oozes with testosterone and from my experience tends to attract the more feminine ladies. Compliments I got range from smelling confident AF to smelling unf*ckwithable. The most masculine fragrance in my collection.

This is an interesting one, it reminds you of Mancera Red Tobacco in the opening but this feeling remains for a very few minutes. Immediately after it changes to the tobacco oud domain with some animalics and boy o boy what a scent it becomes. My only objection to this is that it doesnt project much. Tobacco lovers go for it

I normally agree with just the facts on most everything. I disagree that its similar to the reyanne. In my opinion they aren't similar at all aside from both of them having tobacco. This is a fantastic tobacco fragrance. Very strong and lasts a long time. Projects pretty well too. If you love tobacco then you'll like this.

DO NOT BLIND BUY this, it is NOT a clone of red tobacco, just the opening is similar. this is uber spicy masculine oud fragrance, one of the most daring fragrances by Afnan, lasts forever , winter only, must sample before you buy it 8.5/10 for the quality and packaging

Great Tobacco scent. Not as sweet as most Tobacco-heavy scents tend to be. Somwhere in between Tobacco Oud and CH Mystery Tobacco and Red Tobacco with the spice and dryness you'd get in Spirit of Dubai Meydan. Nixon Dias AKA Smelly Cat on YouTube.

Some says, it's close to Mancera's Red Tobacco. And no, they're not. On me, this fragrance has more spicy notes. And performance is superb! It last longer on my shirt. Even after two days! One of the best!

Straight off I noticed the clear similarities to Tobacco Oud/Oud Wood. Performance is decent but nothing special. Bottle is nice. Worth the $30-40 if you like the similar Tom Fords.

I've had this a month now i get way more oud than I did before. I love oud so it works for me. Also this fragrance is beast mode!

This is a clone of Mancera Red Tobacco, but less sweet and more masculine 10/10

This is a very interesting fragrance and I haven't seen it described anywhere really well in terms of what it smells like before I bought it. To me in the opening it smells like Mancera red tobacco, in the heart notes it smells like Cuoium by Orto Parisi and a faint hint of Terroni by OP. In the dry down it smells like Memoir Man by amoage. The tobacco in this gets progressively weaker as time goes on and this fragrance changes a lot. In the opening it's Tobacco with a bit of tonka sweetness and creaminess in the same vain as Red Tobacco /Carlisle then the fragrance becomes the most challenging because of the extreme spiciness and smokyness in the mid, here there is no sweetness at all just spice, smoke and leather (Cuoium/iberian leather like) than what's most surprising of all is that the sweetness returns in the dry down and you get this wormwood ambery incensy smell like what you get with Amouage memoir man, in the dry down this has 0% tobacco smell. Overall this is 3 fragrances bottled in one. All the fragrances this draws inspiration from aren't mass plesers and so this won't be either, for mme a 10/10 frag. This is not a red tobacco, this is much more challenging, it's also not at all like Gucci Guilty absolute ( the woodleather accord isn't here, and the dentol/band-aid smell isn't here, which is a shame). In this you get that Amouage feel, it doesn't smell like a clone of any of their fragnces but you experience the same feeling as if you were wearing some of amoage heavy hitters, being challenged by them and wearing them in confidence.

Very interesting fragrance. I like tobacco fragrances. I have TF Tobacco Vanille and Tobacco Oud, CH Mystery Tobacco, ATH Tabac, Dior Tobacolor, Mancera Red Tobacco, Guerlain Tobacco Honey. This is different from all of those. This is the dirtiest tobacco fragrance that I own. The tobacco is definitely present. The opening is very sharp, with the tobacco, vanilla, oud accord, and leather, which I think some reviewers have called a "suede" accord. There is some sweetness initially, but it is soon overwhelmed by the oud accord. The drydown emphasizes the leather and gets dirtier and less sweet as it goes along. I enjoy this fragrance, but it's not for everyone. If you like the idea of tobacco supported by dirty leather, you will enjoy this.

Very different on the strip versus skin. I got mostly a woody leather on paper and much sweeter on skin and more tobacco. Very reminiscent of Red Tobacco on skin with more wood and leather, quite ‘masculine’. Definitely leather even though it is not listed. Dry down has a oud accord like sweet wood. Nice combination of leather and sweet tobacco, but smells derivative because of the smells I am already familiar with and own.

OK, so it's more of a linear, pipe tobacco kind of scent, having a middle-ground strength and projection. After 30 mins or so, it mellows in both potency and scent, becoming more readily enjoyable. It's fairly mature and not really a blonde sort of tobacco experience. Perfectly rendered. When you're in the mood for such a profile, this would be a natural reach.

these afnan ppl tried to create something original by mixing three popular tobacco fragrances. 50% mystery tobacco, 25% red tobacco and 25% tobacco oud. The result is somewhat satisfactory. Obviously the quality cant be matched by those niche houses but for the price its pretty complex. this house has given some great releases and this one sure is a topper.

Intensely spicy and smoky tobacco stored in an oud box. There's a hint of something vaguely sweet in the backdrop, but it's gone as quickly as it comes as this dries down. Becomes noticeably powdery on my skin once it settles. Cold weather only, it's very strong out the nozzle, in the air, on skin, and clothes.

Very harsh on the open but smooths out slightly on the dry down. Every time I wear it, my brother tells me I smell like our uncle who fixes tractors, so basically gasoline and musk. I've had this for a good 8 months now and I think I'm finally ready to start wearing it as winter rolls around again.

#1171 in my "Tour de Fragrance" If you were looking for a heavy tobacco rush, you won't find it here. It's primarily wood, mostly cedar, like the interior of a chest grandma stored the comforters in for the summer. As for the smell of bandaids some noted, yeah there's definitely some latex scent in here, but that's gone in fifteen minutes or so. Could be from the sprayer components. No way to tell. It's not a worthy competitor with any Tom Ford Tobacco scent or clone thereof. It in no wise smells like Mancera "Red Tobacco", nor is this leathery like "Al Areeq." What it does smell like is Reyanne Tradition "Insurrection II Wild" which is usually priced a bit less than this, but is only EDT potency. I prefer the Mancera "Intense Red Tobacco" to this, Al Haramain "Amber Oud Tobacco", as it copies the Mancera "Intense Red Tobacco" pretty closely, and Armani "Stronger with You Tobacco" much, much better than this. Sadly, the best tobacco scent of all time, Thierry Mugler "Pure Havane," was discontinued when the soulless bastards at L'Oreal acquired the brand, apparently to destroy it, though some approximations have been produced by some of the clone houses like Dua and Aura. Insurrection II is like a faded version of Pure Havane. Les Indemodables "Vanille Havane" isn't a direct replacement, but it's a damn fine consolation prize. And though it's an EDT, I go for the Maison Margiela "Replica Jazz Club" as it's a real compliment getter, but one you have to respray midday. And if you're on a tight budget, Paris Corner has some tobacco scents you might want to try out. This is car pool, elevator, small office safe. It's not a strong projecting scent, arm's length (so I'd maybe spray your clothing as swell). Lasts through the day on the skin, and it's inexpensive. So to me it's okay, but nothing special.

I love tobbaco smell. I could sit in a humidor and smell different cigars and pipe tobacco all day long even tho I don't like to smoke. The opening is a cigar smell. Definitely cigar tobbaco. Cigar smells sharp, peppery slightly sweet. However, it's not a sweet fragrance. It does have a sweetness to it, but it's not prominent. Once that starts to dry you get the leathery oud base. It reminds me a bit of the medicinal oud in the voice of the snake. It has a balsamic quality to it. Almost a bit dirty oily. The bottle is almost one year old and the performance is pretty good. It projects quite strongly for the first few hours and then stay close to your body until the next day. Stays on clothes until you wash them. Over time it became smoother and longer lasting, but it didn't change massively like some other fragrances I own. I've smelled much better tobacco fragrances that I couldn't get enough of. I don't reach out for this one so often.

I don't know if it's just my copy that smells like that, but I don't find any tobacco note, like you can find in Tobacco Vanille. I feel like the “general” smell is similar to leather, such as can be found in Ombré Leather. I let the perfume macerate for a month or two, if it changes the smell. Longevity is very strong on the skin, but those around me don't smell anything,... whereas I feel it very strongly myself. anyone else have the same feeling about this perfume? 😶

Balsamic and ambery tobacco. The opening might be a bit harsh but the dry down is smooth tobac with a hint of subtly sweet amber, but also insulin/ medicinal. It's strong and masculine leaning unisex perfume. Meanwhile it does fall into similar colognes available with the notes mentioned from above this is abit diffrent. Edit: if you have ever worked with insulin and it's preservative aka "phenol" the drydown of this smells exactly like you spilled one on yourself.

Tried this out in a fragrance store. Sort of reminded me of Red Tobacco but not as sweet. Did not enjoy. If you have RT, there's no need for this.

I've seen some people online claim that this is a clone of Tobacco Oud. It is not. Tobacco Oud smells very close to opening a fresh can of mildly aromatized Virginia pipe tobacco, which is a very nice smell - Virginia tobacco on its own is pleasant, with tones of dried apples or plums. Apart from being relatively loud, Tobacco Oud is a mainstream accessible scent imo. The opening of Tobacco Rush smells like cigars, and not necessarily good ones. That type of tobacco is much less pleasant to a non-smoker, it's not sweet and it does not remind you of dried fruit. It's quite leathery too - edit: it's actually suede more than leather. Many cheap "tobacco" fragrances from dupe houses use something that smells more like suede than like tobacco. In the drydown it mellows out a bit and becomes even kind of sweet. In my opinion it's not too complex, I perceive it as relatively straight forward. It is its own thing, but it's not a thing I appreciate. If you're looking for a cheap tobacco perfume in tune of Tom Fords or other sweet spicy mixtures, do not blind buy this. Actually, if you're looking for anything else, also don't blind buy this.

Smells like band-aids. If you were hoping for clouds of rich, luxurious tobacco of a quality cigar or the dank, warm, comfort of bundled tobacco leaves drying under the sun, you might be disappointed. This smells like the last cigar on the shelf was rushed to the hospital. He's wrapped in antiseptic bandaging. We're all standing around him in his final moments, hoping things make a turn for the better. I will update if maceration improves his situation.

The person below me said it smelled like band-aids. Nothing has been more true in the history of truths. Too make sure i wasnt insane, i had a co-worker smell it...and they said it smelled "topical", like a creme you would get from your doctor for a rash or something. WHAT EVEN IS THIS??? Opening is an ATOMIC EXPLOSION of tobacco, which I like. Mid is a bit 'cheap', like I'm sitting in a chair waiting to have my hair cut in a barbershop stall located in a market right between the stall that sells fabric and the stall that repairs leather goods, that kind of cheap barbershop fragrance synth. Dry down is decent, woody. Nothing to rave about.

This has to be the worst most foul smelling fragrance ever created, I have had my bottle almost a year now and it still smells like band aids. Do not blind buy this scent, it should be re-named "Band Aid Rush-Extra Dose" .

Smells like wet dog. It makes me sick. Disgusting. Throwing this away after posting this review. But I do like the bottle, and it's got a magnetic cap which is always cool. Juice - 1/10 Bottle 7/10

A tobacco bomb! Not quite as sweet as I'd like, but my favorite scent accord is tobacco. Definitely not for everyone. Strong Middle Eastern vibes that may be too cloying to North American noses.

Terrible scent! I don't know if it's the " oud " note that throws it that way, but I can't stand this trifling concoction. My bottle was banished to the bottom of the trash can.

Okay! first ever review and it’s going to be real short. Open a box of band-aids and put the box up to your nose. That’s it!

Respectfully, this shit is ass.

Brand new, first use. Complex and changing throughout. Starts off with a warm, dry and slightly fruity/vanilla'ish sweet and faintly powdery pipe tobacco. A little leather, expensive amber and honey, light medicinal Scotch whiskey and very light ointments, (synthetic oud) . Dries down and the tobacco smoothes out nicely and you get a smokey, incensey, synthetic kyara like oud, that is layered with a light clinical, medicinal oud note---light tobacco, light steri-strips and honey linger. I get ocassional nose-fulls of Minorien Kyara Japanese incense, in the dry down (If you've never tried this incense, you are missing out). Not a beast EDP, by any means and it lingers around you, for about 3 hours. This has just above average sillage and projection. Imo, perfectly blended. What a steal for $33. Reminds me of Man Amber Halston, with some syn. oudh. Looking forward to seeing how this changes with age. A guy at work said, he keeps walking past me, because it smells so good.

When first smelling this, it does give you Red Tobacco vibes, but is quickly fleeting. It goes way drier than RT. Also on first spray, this smells strong, but it mellows out very quickly, but maybe it need some maceration. I have an older screw top version of RT and it's crazy beastly and comes across a little more ashy. The Vanilla & warm spices in RT give it a sweeter vibe (Cinnamon) and the Saffron is missing in Tobacco Rush. Have not had a chance to smell the CH. So....this either fell off a cliff strength-wise or i'm already going nose-blind. This is also not a huge projector on my skin. Scent-wise it very nice in the right situation. I paid $40 for this so as long as the performance amps up a bit, it will be worth it but regardless, have no regrets for $40. Gonna let this sit to macerate and wait for slightly cooler weather after the summer to get the full experience.

hey guys I have to admit this, that you were all right that Mancera gives you a pretty realistic tobacco vibe and this one, doesn't come close it is enjoyable as a curiosity, the kicks and giggles, the experiments but compared to red tobacco this just smells like an old chimney. I didn't know what I was missing until I just had to try out red tobacco, seriously worth every penny besides, are all its components completely legal, I mean if I take a direct whiff my throat tonsils scream emergency, that can't be a good sign? I did not have a chance to test the copy, "paris corner emir wild & tobacco", I hope soon.

Another very interesting release by Afnan Perfumes. Some have linked it to Tobacco Oud by TF, others have linked it to Red Tobacco. All I'm hoping is its performance on me. I just ordered this and Patchouli on Fire following the compelling review of SmellyCat (via YT)! Edit: This fragrance is Red Tobacco Lite. Yes, you'll feel that Red Tobacco vibes, but not as spicy, sweet and "suave" Red Tobacco! Go for this Tobacco Rush is you find Red Tobacco too pricey. It projects and is very long lasting too! This remind me of Guirlain Cuir , it had spicy , tobacco , oud , leather . The tobacco note is there but blend very well with high does of spices , oud and leather . It is very far from TM TO . And Red tobacco . It is not sweet . More wearable and more mass appealing than TF TO and RT. It is more to Cuir area although not clone or same . Performance is very good . If you like Cuir , you will love this .

At first you get all leather and sweetness but in the dry down you get cherry tobacco with some sweetness and wood. 4 sprays goes a long way and gives a good projection as if you just recently smoked a pipe with cherry tobacco.This have minimal sweetness so i would recommend to layer this with something sweet.Like Philippe Plein No limits gold,Le Male,One million or Spicebomb.

[bottle/hand test] This is actually pretty close to offerings like Onekh/Falkar from Bvlgari. People who vote it's similar to Red Tobacco haven't smell one of them - they're in different ballparks. This is dark, smoky and leathery scent with just a tad of sweetness. Spicy, strong but also creamy duo of gaiac wood and tobacco.

It’s not as strong I like that, I can spray myself evenly without making other ppl head ache. Great packaging btw, the beautiful painting on the outside and the magnetic cap with this plastic bottle, well it’s only 40 bucks I can’t ask for more, good value overall.
