Violet Ambrosia

Leathery bitter citrusy floral.... Confusion!! I am very confused right now! it's like a variation of her past fragrances and-or it is maybe her stamp! (aka jasmines!) firstly i got big chunks of violets, & violet leaves that gave the vibes of pure soft slightly sweet leather which reminds me of "Cuoio Nobile" by Pineider and honestly exactly like "Royal Leather" by Charriol (not the headache version of Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather). After around 5 minutes in i start to smell "Palimpsest" with the yuzu coming up and sour jasmines with bits of ylang, Kaffir Lime, & broom. This mix gave me the vibes of dry rice. The confusion came when i first sniffed soft sweet leather that whiffs between sweet and sour citrus and bitter jasmines! it kept going like this for around 3 to 4 minutes till the jasmines, ylang, broom, & cirus. This is just pure beauty. It's a chypre blend at max, modern within a vintage frame.

This is so lovely! Definitely get the earthy greenness of violet leaves, but it's not all roughage, as there is the slight anisic sweetness of violet flowers as well. It is a bit reminiscent of some of the CB I Hate perfume violet/pansy scents. Ionones and the woods also give an orris-ey feel to it. Slightly sweet, grassy drydown. I do believe all those notes are in there, but just blended so well to create a fairly linear but gorgeous scent. As expected with naturals, it's short-lived, but the beautiful, brief journey makes me long for spring again. Tempted to buy this!

It has a sugary floral opening, and then it dries down to the earthy almost sour sweetness. Sits on me a bit like BR540, which on my skin has a cat pee scent. So this one isn't for me. I will say, it is a beast of a fragrance, maybe because I wasn't a fan of the dry down, I smelled it for longer than other scents. But this one seemed to sit on the skin for a while on me.

This violet is just a little TOO shy for me.
