Cereale

This might be the most delighted I've been by a photorealistic scent (and I'm very delighted by photorealistic scents). Immediately after spraying, I smelled malt liquor. Then I got the caraway and rye very strongly, and a more wheaty smell that reminded me of my dad grinding his own wheatberries to make flour, both the scent of the wheatberries themselves and the more dusty scent of them being ground. Next it shifts between the uncooked, homemade bread dough and that butter melting on fresh bread smell, very close to what my house smelled like a lot of my childhood. Absolutely brilliantly done. Now they just have to make it project more and last longer.

the savory butter fragrance of my dreams. cereale has an exceptionally aromatic opening, just like un chou noted; the initial blast of caraway reminded me of a slice of pepperoni pizza in the strangest and most delightful way. the butter has a lot to compete with because the caraway topnote is so strong, but as time passes, cereale begins to smell like a buttered piece of warm rye toast. pair with pearfat - multiball for a delicious olfactory feast.

this is not a bread scent. this is YEAST. i had been daydreaming of a scent exactly like this upon leaving a basic laboratory environment that smelled like luria broth all day. this is that scent. takes me exactly there. if you want to feel like you are in a petri dish or entangled in a web of gluten, this is the scent for you.

Pungent and wet but the drydown slowly goes to a very soft full dry sweetness (from the butter). Think of the timeline of bread, starting from its beginning.

This one was an interesting experience! I bought it in a sample set of bread perfumes, and this is the second one I've tried. Taking the stopper out and sniffing was a powerful yeast smell, the alcoholic and wet scent of fermentation. Then as soon as it touches my skin its like putting my nose in a loaf of day-old rye. Dry, toasty, the smell of the baked caraway seeds. I don't really get any butter notes. What surprised me most about this one is it was GONE in a matter of 30 minutes. I put it on both wrists and it's not just me going nose blind, my partner couldn't smell it on me either after literally less than half an hour. Gone as though someone had just eaten up the rye bread!
