Matsu Musk

At first it literally smells like mushroom gills. I was kind of grossed out, and I definitely didn’t want to smell like an actual mushroom. Luckily the mycelial concentration dissipates after about 10-15 minutes and lingers as an earthy backdrop while the musk blooms. It’s long-lasting as well, about 5-6 hours in humid summer heat, and still detectable after a shower. Smells so pretty on my skin. Considering a full bottle.

this smells like freshly sprouted oyster mushrooms, that kind of sweet musky fragrance that wild mushrooms have. this is absolutely delicious to me its so natural and fresh, but if you dislike mushroom notes you will hate this lol

This is the first mushroom-note fragrance I've tried that actually does a photo-realistic mushroom scent, specifically I think cremini or young portobello. If they could make this particular note last longer and project more, this would be an easy buy for me, but the mushroom scent pretty quickly gives way to the generic musk (I didn't really get much of the skin note at all), which is pleasant enough but I don't need to pay these prices for it.

To me, this wavers between smelling like BO and mushrooms depending on what I think of at the time , its a little silly and fun and i like wearing it when im in a weird mood because its a bit weird to smell like a mushroom

100% smells like a fresh mushroom plucked from the soil. Earthy and soft. It actually suits my skin very well and as the mushroom top note fades it smells like sweet, earthy skin.

Reminds me of Not a Perfume by Juliette Has A Gun. Ambroxan. Clean, just the slightest bit sweet, with the faintest hint of mushroom.

Mushroom! I don’t always like to eat them, but this smells really cool! It smells rubbery – like I can almost feel the jiggling of the gills under my fingertips. Wow.

A cool (almost minty in its coolness) loaminess at the opening settles into a your-skin-but-better scent with a slight earthy edge. I’m getting a bit of the ambroxan, synthetic molecule type musk vibe from this like in Molecule 01, etc. I appreciate the concept and attempt at some earthiness but it’s extremely soft— I’ve had it on for about 15 mins and it’s all but gone.

As Pallas said below, this is the mushroom version of Rosie by Rosie Jane. Of the five, this is the only one I enjoy for the scent profile. It is soft, earthy skin, exactly as described. I love it and would like to get a full size, it's so unique. Unfortunately this skin scent also vanishes like spores in the wind and I would use it far too quickly. Even though I don't tend towards intimate skin scents, this would be worth it for the atmosphere It creates, it smells like soft, gauzy light grey lace looks.
