Blue Silk

Bought this based on reviews, was, for me, a risky blind buy, it's not that I don't like woods, but pine/juniper? Being from Florida the smell is not only quite familiar but I know the full force of those particular wood scents and it can be quite overwhelming if not nauseating. Thankfully I am both amazed and happy with what it turned out to be. Yes I had a strong but SOFT and sweet blast of Juniper at the opening, my face softened instantly with a "Whew" that's not the bitter pine I'm use to around here. Instead it's one of the best blended scents I've gotten in a long time. It radiated quickly into a smooth, warm, neutral sweet scent, sandalwood and prominent cinnamon comes through, with some really overlapping Jasmine and pepper. I can see why many consider it very Unisex as I think it would work well on most men (I pretty much only wear uni or "her" fragrances anyway) but I think those who don't would still be happy wearing this. The dry down was VERY nice and unoffensive, and I got many compliments from those who found themselves within scent range of me today. (The fragrance guy is at it again, wow, what's that you've found now?...lol) Many thumbs up were received. Now to my only complaint, which is SOLELY personal. I love the bottle, simple yet elegant, but, for a "non cheapie" fragrance to NOT have a cap irritated me. Using a clamp instead, and leaving the top exposed seemed rather "tester" cheap to me. Yes, I'm "That guy" who doesn't want people to think I've resorted to buying a tester..LMAO (how silly we can be with our affectations, yet I say embrace yourself in totality, it's better for the soul that way), and so, yeah, my only complaint, is that a fragrance in this price range has no reason to be cap-less, resorting to a clamp, and looking like a tester. BUT WOW DO I LOVE THIS SCENT.

I just sprayed L'Agent on one wrist and Blue Silk on the other. My first impression: L'Agent has a spicy kick, while Blue Silk, while still dark and spicy, it's less so, much gentler and more wearable. The DNA is the same, but these are two different perfumes that no one would confuse for one another. Comparing these to women in a party, L'Agent is the extroverted, attractive woman in a short red dress (frilly, nice decotage, attention-getter) who sips a cocktail laughing out loud, surrounded by fans. She's very sexy and flaunts it without any shyness, loving to be the center of attention. She is not precisely beautiful, but her body and her charm make her very attractive. Meanwhile, Blue Silk is more reserved, talking only to a person or two at a time. There is an air of mystery about her, and people wonder from afar about her, but are too intimidated to approach her. She has a timeless type of beauty. But don't let her pretty face fool you: there is definitely some darkness hidden in this girl. She doesn't laugh even once, only smiles demurely, and no one is sure what she's thinking. Her dress is midnight-blue, long and elegant, and she sips champagne.

Kinda confused by the review bellow mine and i am wondering if we are reviewing the same perfume...A man's fragrance? A GUY WEARING IT? No freaking way. This creation is ultra dirty, ultra femme and sex packaged. Makes my hubby go insane, just like the original pink bottle AP. I honestly can't say which out of these two is better and sexier. Blue Silk has just the right amount of everything, starting with musk, rose, juniper, and all the way to the tonka bean to give it a tad of sweetness. I personally don't detect any citrus in it which is a good thing, because i despise the citrus note in general. I have no words to describe how hot and sexy this is, but in no way is this made for a man. Not for a manly kind anyways...It's my third Agent P perfume and i am expecting L'Agent in the mail, quite excitedly. So happy i snagged this in time, they are becoming quite hard to find, especially L'Agent. Longevity of Blue Silk is insane, i am going into 11th hour so far and it is still projecting like crazy!

I received this perfume as a gift and got really disappointed at first as I remember not liking the original AP when it came out ages ago. Then I opened the box and sprayed it on. And the opening was harsh, almost repulsive. And I got even more upset. BUT after about 5 minutes on my skin (dry) it turned into a very beautiful powdery scent. It had a very prominent retro cosmetic scent, like my grandma's powder case. But at the same time it had someting unique about it that kept me sniffing my wrist again and again. After about 30 min I grew slightly anosmic to it, however my boyfriend kept on saying that he could still smell it on me, even outside in the wind. The longevity is great, I could still smell it on my wrists after almost 12 hours. Again, it's a very soft, close-to-skin scent, but it stays on. Overall, I'm surprisingly impressed and loving it. Would recommend to someone who likes Histoires des Perfumes creations. Forgot to add - in the middle notes I strongly sense bubblegum wrappers.

Into the woods. Unexpected find. Blind bought it as it was GBP 16 for 100ml. After reading the notes and a few reviews I decided to give it a try. This is probably the best fragrance I have ever smelled in this price range. Very woody and spicy, with distinct juniper sweetened by tonka and a tiny bit of peach. It is quite sharp and a bit soapy. To me it smells complex. If I blind smelled it, I would've said it's a men's fragrance that can be worn by a woman. This is for a woman that is confident in her skin, mature or an old soul. Not trying to seduce anyone yet be seductive nonetheless. Imaginary character that would smell like that would be some sort of a sorceress. I would love to smell it on a man. In my opinion, it is better from many mainstream men's offerings and more interesting for sure. Safe blind buy, for the price. If you like woody/spicy fragrances, just go for it. The only let down is the longevity. I get around 4 hours on my skin, but you can always respray during the day.

My GOD this is lovely! Excuse my enthusiasm. It's not often that I fall hard for a woodsy perfume, and I was very wary about the juniper note, but I think this is an extraordinary fragrance! I could have sworn this had vanilla in it, but obviously it's the tonka I am noticing as a base note. The cinnamon adds a delicious spice that pushes the normally austere effect one gets from wood notes into sexy territory, but beyond that, I don't even want to disect because as a whole, this takes my breath away. Projection and longevity are quite decent and it remains as a skin scent for hours after. I have to give AP credit. They really do make some nice scents considering how commercial they are, but this one rules my heart. I am waiting on an order of L'agent body silk to arrive. Let's see if that one gives me the same delight! Let me add - it is totally unisex and very affordable, and I love the color of the bottle.

I received this today from FragranceNet in a big purchase I made, you know when you finally buy all those long-awaited fragrances that have been on your want list forever? So I finally got this one. The anticipation can play weird games to you and often times I get disappointed when I can't wait to try a perfume but... oh my, this is WONDERFUL! It's sexy and deep, I can smell juniper and sandalwood, the two most prominent notes, and something spicy, peppery, and maybe a hint of cinnamon. It is indeed a very erotic and sexy fragrance, but I would not put this in the inappropriate or vulgar category. This is sexy and confident like a woman who doesn't need a man, but she'll spend the night with him because she can and she just feels like it. I love this one. I love the story it tells and it makes me feel like a version of myself I would love to explore.

If anyone is looking for a similar perfume to the discontinued Sensuous Noir by Estee Lauder...this is a great option. I had Blue Silk prior to getting a rare bottle of Sensuous Noir, so when I finally tested the latter, it felt extremely familiar to me. I actually prefer Blue Silk, at least when thinking about pricing. I went hiking in a pine forest while wearing this scent and it blended in beautifully. The juniper berries, cinnamon, and vetiver are all the strongest notes for me. I don't get much citrus or floral notes. It smells slightly vintage or reminiscent of a man's cologne, but is still somehow feminine enough. Could definitely go unisex though. It's a unique scent and I am so happy with it for the $20 I paid. It projects nicely and has good longevity.

This is mesmerising...quite similar to lace noir to my nose maybe without the harsher spice of lace noir. I smell the juniper but it isn't as scary as it sounds, it's blended seamlessly and just gives this a subtle herbal tone at the top but its not an herbal perfume. Cinnamon is very subtle. What stands out the most for me in the dry down is the vetiver, tonka, musk and jasmine. Its sweet but not overly so. Without a doubt unisex, in fact I think this would smell great on my husband but I like it too much to let him have it- its all for me!! Overall its warm and cozy, I bet this would bloom in winter although Im wearing on a warm day and its delightful now too. This would layer well with a creamy/lactonic perfume. It makes me feel like a sensual, warm hug.

There's only a few fragrances that I own from this millennium and this is one of them. Agent Provocateur Blue Silk has all the retro spice, pepper, musk and woods of a barbershop classic like Bay Rum mixed with shaving foam (like something an oldtime sailor or pirate would wear) but is still kept modern and erotic somehow. Resinous pine, sandalwood and a true gin like juniper. Think Estee Lauder Sensuous Noir meets YSL Nu but more fruity with a smoky nectarine/mentholated cigarette note like YSL Champagne/Yvresse. Unfortunately it is getting harder to find now (presumably discontinued being too much of a cacophony of genres for the masses) but I just adore this juice and feel anyone could pull this off.

Blue Silk is another sexy, kinda dirty, femme-fatale-in-a-bottle fragrance from Agent Provocateur. Blue Silk– like L’Agent and the original Agent Provocateur– is bold, dark, and seductive. It isn't as polarizing as the original AP or as hypnotic as L'Agent, but it is still very good. The composition isn’t girly (a trait it shares with the best AP scents). It is sensuous and richly textured. The juniper, cinnamon, and pink pepper are dominant, with noticeable supporting roles played by sandalwood, vetiver, tonka, and musk. It’s beautifully blended. Applied lightly, it can be worn in more casual situations. Apply generously to emanate sex appeal. The sillage and longevity are moderate. Leans feminine.

Probably one of the biggest surprises I’ve had with perfumes.. and I have many. Got numerous AP perfumes. All okay, nothing special. Bought this not expecting much at all.. cost 5 pounds so really only bought for that reason. This is nothing like any other AP perfume I’ve tried. Quite pos the best blind buy I’ve ever had. Smells like a chanel. Smells very expensive. Really unusual but in a good way. Smells niche. If this was a les exclusif chanel for 400 pounds id still buy it. Wish I had bought more of them whilst I had the chance.

I’ve been blind buying the AP scents because they’re inexpensive and available. This is a wonderful pepper and cinnamon scent that’s way more complex than the price would suggest. I agree with the comment that this would fit as a niche if it was blindly smelled. It lasted for ages on me and the orange came out slightly more in the dry down. While to me it was feminine-probably because of the marketing-no reason it couldn’t be unisex. Tom Ford should be sorry he missed this juice for his brand.

I blind bought this fragrance based on reviews and I’m not disappointed in the least! This is a lovely scent, woods and spices sprinkled over a floral base. For the 20$ I spent I feel that I couldn’t ask for more from this perfume. I’d definitely say it leans more as a cool weather fragrance but I’d love to give it a try on a warm evening as well. I’d say that if you’re a fan of Velvet Teddy or TF Noir Pour Femme this might be worth checking out. I’m truly glad to add it to my collection!

Amazing creature Blue Silk is. It is realy cool, earthy and refreshing. Suits either for a very snowy freezing winter or anyday in the summer. Longevity is amazing for the price, 4-6hours. On my skin i get some resemblence with Serge Lutens L' eau, except Blue Silk is a bit with more spices. Although never would guess it is from a company creating lingerie for 20 something euro.

oh my good heavens what a sexy cinnamon scent Ive been searching for .....I am absolute love and so glad I got 100 ml , the silage is insane for the price . You can buy this blind , I guarantee you'll love it if you love spicy cinnimon in perfume , this has a soapy cleanliness but also creamy smoothness , it's sex in a bottle , almost smells like spicy coke cola

juniper, pepper, rose and musk in the top that dries down to sandalwood and cinnamon; love it; a bit powdery and unique but heads in a more masculine direction than other APs but is still feminine if that makes sense. They do powder well.

I'm only here to show my appreciation for this beautiful scent. It's soft, smooth and the drydown is out of this world. It sure surprised me. It's subtle and every now and then there's a waft of pure pleasure. I love it! Well done!

This reminds me of The Woods Collection Eden which already smells niche. Very unisex and performs very well. The drydown is more of woody citrusy combo. no complaint from me, well done.

Absolutely beautiful fragrance, unique and long lasting. Cinnamon note is definitely noticeable. Very sexy and mysterious scent. Highly recommended!

If Sensuous Noir and Roberto Cavalli‘s ORO had a baby, this would be it.

I blind bought this perfume. The first thing that shocked me was the total 80s vibe it has but i find this perfume really wearable... On me it is very warm, being the tonka bean and the cinnamon the most prominent notes. I smell cero citrics in this one. Sweeter and powdery than i expected. I would recomend at east having 30 years old to buy it. It is not for the younger since it proyects a maturity idea that would clash with the younger users. It has a very good sillage and longevity both in skin and clothes. I could smell it around me for hours. Very distinctive. Smells a lot more expensive than it is. It is not similar to L ́Agent but is the closest relative in the family since both share a masculinity. This one only has just a masculine vibe while L ́Agent its truly unisex. This one is warmer and sweeter than L ́agent. L ́Agent is dry, resinous, dark and not so 80 ́s. EDIT: I am so happy that i blind bought this perfume! If i would have smelled it in a card any day, i wouldn ́t have bought it. It is getting into the fence of the loved ones... It is not what you would think on the word "sexy". I think just because it makes me think about the 80s looks and those were not sexy at all...

This one is a strange one to me , It has sort of a waxy almost plastic feal to it , Not un plesent but slightly addictive in fact, I can not pick up any Juniper, this is more about Cinnamon ,tonka , sandalwood ,pepper , yes it has a slight freshnes to it but i cant pick other notes apart from each other , maybe a slight touch of rose , but not in the true sense of the smell. On my skin i almost get a bit off Amber feal . It is different to the other Agent`s i have tryed , It do have a slight outdoorsy feal to it, But does not remind me of Sensuos Noir at all ,this has a whole other style to it , and not as long lasting as Sensuous noir . I must also add that this is InFact quit sweet in the drydown ,not at all as spicy as i was initialy thinking . I do get the hint of leather aswell as someone else mentioned , Not sure if i like it enough to keep it jet , need some getting used to .

I got this one for a great deal on Ebay. Let me first begin by saying how cool the bottle and box are I love the blue. For some reason I was expecting something different to come out of this blue bottle. The smell however is very good and the lasting power and silage are incredible. I test sprayed this in the sink as I often do before I attempt to spray on myself. Even after washing out the sink I smell it the next day. So what I get is an initial spice and cream blast. It's unlike anything else I have. After it settles which takes a bit, it has a spice/powder scent. This stays for quite some time on the skin. I can smell it on my wrist the next morning. I would call this an evening scent. And in the end it does have a slight masculine dry down. I dislike anything masculine however I think this is tolerable and because it's so unique with such a kick ass bottle I will keep it!

Blind buy, but I love other AP perfumes. It arrived today. It is different from anything else and different from other Agent's perfumes, but still similar. If perfume can be salty, it is salty! :-). It is not sweet, not flowery, not fruity or berry. But it is not bitter either. It is not masculine, not feminine either. I would say salty leather and a bit medicinal. It is not fresh enough for day time, but not complex enough for the night. Am I impressed? No. Am I disappointed? Neither. I remember I had similar feelings about AP original perfume when I just got it and now it is my favourite perfume. I am going to wear it in the day time and then will be back and review it again. PS: Wearing to office today. Longevity and silage are on the weak side, so don't be scared to apply generously. And it is nice to wear during day and I like it!

"This can easily be a man's fragrance", I instantly thought as I sniffed my wrist. "Hmmm can I wear this? ....... Yes, yes, I can, however, if a guy wore this, I'd be more turned on than I am ME wearing it." Wintergreen-y , shaving cream-y, clean and softly sweet... like kettle corn !! A guy in blue jeans with a great form, brunette, slightly long hair and a clean cotton shirt, sitting on my porch on a hot summer day, OR a distinguished exotic looking gray haired man in a pricy suit, exotic , waiting for his date at night in front of the movie theater, because I can still smell that kettle corn!! I'd like it on a man more than on me, honestly. But I'll test it around in public first .

Blue Silk is interesting - it opens with this dirty musky smell that I really don't like - I think that is the cinnamon and musk and I just don't like warm spicy scents in general. But it cleans up by the midnotes which on my skin were like seductive dark chocolate and a cool silky dusky blue note that's a bit like coffee. Then the drydown becomes almost woody with a hint of coffee and musky but clean oud that reminds me of Oud Saphir. Of the notes listed on this site I mostly detected sandalwood, vetiver, cinnamon and musk but well blended and balanced Its sexy, sophisticated and mature

A juniper/slight citrusy/pink peppery opening....then you get the slight woody rose/florals.... This scent went thru "stages" on my skin....I could slightly pick up most of the listed notes....they waivered in and out. The drydown....iMO...is a sandalwoody/ tonka/ musky vibe...with the fruits and pink pepper still underneath...if that makes sense..??? I also agree that this is very unisex. Nothing "mind-blowing"...but very likeable. This is a big like so far...not a "love" ...yet. Straight down-the-middle in the sillage/projection...again, IMO. For the price....not bad.....happy,so far.

Blue Silk smells very vintage in the opening - I get a good bit of the juniper, reminds me of being out in the snow, getting Christmas trees with family, the smell of freshly made wreaths but it isn't a pine smell. There's much more to it, some rose, sandalwood, sweet tonka, and vetiver - warm and musky. This is really unique to me, not what I usually wear. AP has some unusual offerings and this is one of them. I did a blind buy after reading up on Blue Silk reviews, but I'd recommend a sample. Moderate sillage and great longevity, good for cooler weather. Could be unisex.

Got a mini bottle of Blue Silk because of the comparisons to Bottega Veneta and Iris Prima, both of which I love, and I agree that this is in the same family, but it wouldn't have evoked thoughts of the other two for me if I hadn't seen it here first. Also just want to note that those who don't particularly enjoy the original Agent Provacateur need not avoid Blue Silk - I'm in that camp that finds AP too harsh with the coriander, and Blue Silk bears little to no resemblance to AP, to my nose. Which makes sense as it's not a flanker but a standalone scent.

Dark, rough, and sexy cinnamon. Along with an assumed aromatic juniper, and a surprisingly fresh and lemony opening, it makes the juice so ...ambivalent. On one side a dry acidic sunny entrance, followed by a cold introvert spicy mist. To me, another untamed scent from AP, another free and strong little nasty animal running proudly on the politically correct market.

First wearing today, wow this is very pretty. I think this may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship... I get the musk base, some light floral, it's overall soft, not too sweet. I wouldn't know most of the individual notes without reading them. The spice notes don't scream but they probably add to my liking of the scent.

bel.gravia: I think it is not safe for blind buy. I personally do not feel cinnamon. I feel it is salty herbs. It is not sweet nor fresh at all. Find a way to test it or buy if you can buy it very cheap not to regret. I now use it with Ariana Grande Cloud to make a salty sweet outcome similar to Bacarrat Rouge 540.

Warm, Boozy, Cinammony opening reminiscent of Initio Side Effect or D&G The One but develops into a very delicate, very feminine and powdery Jasmine scent. For more mature women in their 40's and 50's. This says you're an older woman who's seen success in their professional life.

LOTS of fresh piney juniper in the opening. Very aromatic and unisex. As the cinnamon emerges, it warms the fragrance along with a hint of fruit. I don't pick up any of the floral notes. It stays spicy, woody, and balsamic. The more I smell it the more I like it. Addictive!

The more I smell this, the more I think it smells like Angel, by Thierry Mugler. But way less obnoxious. More warm caramel, less synthetic gingerbread... This is a nice thick warm buttery caramel. A skin scent, for me. Actually, not caramel. Butterscotch! Thick butterscotch syrup... A touch of rum cake, or some sort of spice cake... and really little else. I can't detect any other "note". This perfume is just "ok" to me. It inspired me enough to want to write a review, but only because of the similarity I found to Angel (but this (to my nose) is much more subtle, way more sexy (I've grown to detest the smell of Angel, in general.) I just don't think it smells good on people. In general, I find the scents from AP all very subtle, all skin scents. With exception to the original AP. Nice enough scents. But nothing that brings out a story or evokes a passionate response out of me. (Except the first time I smelled AP in the pink bottle)... I don't get the same response with that either now though. It doesn't smell like it did when I bought my first bottle in 2015... anyway, I'm rambling... So, nice, warm, non synthetic, butterscotch skin scent. On to the next review. : ) P.s. Truthfully, if this perfume was on full blast, I'd probably be in absolute heaven. I LOVE the smell of butterscotch! (and whatever else it is I'm detecting here. This spice...) the thing is, it's so gosh darn faint on my skin. It's like I drizzled the butterscotch syrup on my wrist and then licked it off, but left some of the oil of it on me. If that's a thing. It's too subtle for me... I want to turn the volume up 500%... then we can talk! P.p.s. Bond No 9 Manhattan. This girl frag could be a cousin... and a way more cost effective one too.

I just received Blue Silk in the mail, expecting it to be a good blind buy, since I like the perfumes it reminds people of, and I usually like Agent Provocateur's perfumes. Well, it smells like a combination of Bottega Veneta eau de Velours, BV original, Midnight Promise by Bellegance, and Iris Prima―all of which I own, making this one totally redundant. I have not smelled Sensuous Noir or Nu. Blue Silk truly smells more like the first 4 perfumes I mentioned, and less like the listed pyramid here. In addition to being redundant, it's a mere whisper on my skin. I had to reapply every couple hours, and every time I did, within minutes I'd have to press my wrist to my nose in order to smell it. This is the least successful blind buy I've had in a while. I'll let it settle down for a couple weeks and see if it performs better after it sits a while and/or after the weather begins to be a bit warmer. If I can't get it to speak a bit louder, I'm going to sell it.

At the beginning this reminds me of "Le Baiser Du Dragon Cartier", in the dry down of "Sensuous Noir Estée Lauder", but i like it more than Sensuous Noir. Beautiful.

This isn't terrible but reminds me of the smell when you open a very old, dusty book with yellowed pages with tattered edges.

If cough medicine and turpentine had a baby it would be Blue Silk. Just Fabulous.

SHARP and powdery sweet, this is a blind buy I'm regretting. There's something cloying about it, hitting the back of my throat. I'm not sure what note exactly burns my throat though. The jasmin and rose are pretty (though not real quality), the cinnamon is a nice touch, I like mandarin and juniper and I love pepper in a scent. There's something about the musk-sandelwood-tonkabean-velvetier base that makes this a scrubber to my nose. It might be the effect on my skin. This isn't a contemporary scent. Madonna might have worn this in one of her black-lace-and-pearls music videos. Agewise I think this would be appropriate or fitting on someone 60-70+. There is nothing sexy about this. My boyfriend doesn't mind it. He deemed it: 'Too much, but quite nice and fresh. Not bad.' Even if I liked this, 'not bad' isn't what I'm aiming for. I'm donating my bottle.

I get the "cough medicine and turpentine" opening that Madyana referenced below. That harshness quickly smooths out to an interesting unisex scent. The dry down is complicated but not awful. I do not think I will keep this blind-buy as it would take work to try and like it while there are just too many other fragrances that I automaticly enjoy. Hope that makes sense.

This perfume smells similar with portrait of a lady. The good thing is that it is cheap. I do not like it but I understand why some people love this. Not for me

A more feminine and less abrasive version of Breath Of God by Lush. Impressive lasting power and sillage but...Not my thing......

Yes!!! I had to have this! So excited! I found a new 100ml for about $25 shipped too! Blind Buy of course. This is def like a lighter, more unisex L'Agent IMO. Not a hint of any other APs. I get sheer woods, citrus, cinnamon, piney-juniper, and some dirty skin/musk/skank, drying down to earthy woods/pine/soap. It's much lighter than L'Agent, but has the same similar musky smoky spicy earthiness. This smells blue to me! Haha! Much much lighter than L'Agent of course, there is no incense/myrrh/heavy stuffs. Juniper woody cinnamon spicy musk with some soapy powder. It's weird in a unique/good way. Maybe it's the power of suggestion (the title/name of the fragrance) but this smells like blue powder to me! If you are tired of the "same old" from AP, this is worth a sniff! It's very very diff. I'm not sure how much I like it yet. It wears awfully herbal/piney/woody and lacks anything overly feminine. My bottle just came in the mail, and the juice is COLD (it's already winter here) so this will prob change when the bottle settles (shaking/shipping) and gets to room temp. And this was a tissue test. Now the drydown-- I get the AP Family now. I get a sense of the Original, Eau Emotionelle, etc... Further tissue drydown-- ahhhh yassss!!! There is something musky/animalic/skanky in this! Reminds me of the funk you can find in Jicky and Eau d'Hermes. Especially Eau d'Hermes- which Blue Silk has quite a few notes in common with. And there is something sweeter now in the base. This is pretty cool! Wearing proper. The immediate 15 minutes is very similar to L'Agent and it's the pepper. Very syrupy spicy pepper. The sillage is bad, but Agents work better after time/settling. It's still quite masculine.

I bought this years ago when it was going for $25 a bottle. I ended up giving it way which I regret because prices have skyrocketed. But I gave it away for a reason. While I appreciate the concept of this fragrance, I feel it doesn't quite succeed. I does have a high end or "Bottega Veneta" feel to it and for (what was once) a cheapie it steers clear of a typical floral or citrus that dominate the lower end market. This is smooth, supple, woody scent with just a touch of sweetness and has a bit of a niche sensibility. This is unique and there clearly was some thought in the creation of Blue Silk. My only issue with it is you can tell the ingredients are cheap. Had Agent Provocateur invested a bit more in the raw ingredients, this would have been a beautiful fragrance. This is well thought out, well blended, an unusual scent profile at the original price point, but at the end of the day, it still smells like a cheapie. On a side note although the bottle is somewhat nice, it's topped off with a little cheap clear plastic cap and the box it comes in is very flimsy. The going rate is currently $125 a bottle, and it is not worth it. You'd be better off buying a used Bottega Veneta partial or tester on eBay for that price.

I love this brand, but thought that the original Agent Provocateur and L'Agent (whose discontinuation I find devastating) would be enough for me to own; those suit me perfectly and I adore them. But then I read about Blue Silk, and decided to buy a tester bottle. The presentation is full, the tester comes with the lovely deep blue box, nothing is stripped from its original glory. After opening, I get remnants of both scents I already own from the house. Something similar to the original Agent Provocateur shines through just by smelling the sprayer, but elements of the darker L'Agent also shows up after spraying. Delightfully vintage, with a definite dirty undertone. This lingerie company makes scents that are far more interesting and bold than what mainstream designer houses dare produce. It brings the most erotic vintage scents to mind. Classic elegance, with a little playful sensuality. Definitely unisex, it reminds me both to Passion and to Zino. You don't have to belong to a certain sex but be adventurous enough to appreciate it.
