Eau Provocateur

i got 3 samples yesterday of all three of the new eau de toilette scents. at first i only wanted to the l'agent which i liked at the store. i didnt have time to try the other two right there and than so i tried this perfume at home. at first i wasnt sure what to make of it. i have been smelling a lot of perfumes recently and this is just so different. it reminded me of the original heavy syrupy coca-cola, probably because of the spices. it is balmy, kind of like one of those theraputic balms you put on your temples, but not as strong and has a softer sweeter undertone. i havent smelled myrrh on its own before so i dont know if this scent is dominated by it, but it is definitely spicy. this is quickly becoming my favorite scent right now. definitely one of the sexiest perfumes to my nose. this eau de toilette might have been made for daytime, but i find it better for night as it really brings out the sexiness and the wilder side of the wearer.

Inspiring as well as nostalgic perfume.. All reviewers who have stated this bears minimal resemblance to the original, are soooo right. This is a self sufficient fragrance, that brings back memories of the 80s. It has a strong masculine backbone, impressive woods and citruses - a tom-boyish femme fatale! It brings to mind Woman III by Jil Sander, Ve by Versace and something else that i cannot remember right now... It is awesome - bold, rebellious and daredevlish!

It reminds me of the smell of Brasso metalpolish. Not unpleasant, but a bit weird.... Edit: and even weirder: longevity is enormous; 36 hours after application I can stil smell it (and yes, I do shower). What a nice surprise :-)

This smells a little like the original but is still a poor copy in my opinion. Like the other 'eau' in the range, it has no guts. Nothing beats the original AP and L'Agent. Pure class.

An Agent Prov scent that is balsamic and sweet? Yes please! (Blind buy 50ml, I like the original EDP and love L'Agent) WTFRESH HELL is this? It's sharp, nail polish remover-like... like a floor cleaner or disinfectant. It's so sharp and peppery and weird... and something is gut-turning/gag worthy-- sour and medicinal? Ugh-gag. But then... the drydown is nicer. Light and fresh, but tolerable. Musky like all APs. But let me tell ya... there is no fruit or orange blossom to be found. I have no clue how this comes across as so strange and icky. It does wear better, and the drydown is smoother dry musk with a hint of myrrh. But def no vanilla or tonka. My co-worker told me I smelled good tho! Haha! This was a winter wear, but I'm not sure if weather is the prob here. I imagine this would get worse in heat? I haven't written this off yet, it does get better-- but not better enough to give it a like. Wait a second... what was that smell? I got a whiff of sweet zingy red berries.... See, right now... it's about 15 degrees F outside.... and the front door to my office is wide open (fixing the doorknob) and a wind gust came at me... and woooooo.... that was a nice smell. It's like the review down below... you get this moment of sweet or fruit-- and then bam... it's back to being sharp, peppery, and kinda medicinal. The Pepper is giving me Belle D'Opium vibes. This is actually kinda fun to wear... life is like Eau Provocateur.... you never know what you're gonna get. ;)
