L’Agent Eau Provocateur

If you take away the idea of L'Agent and consider it as its own daytime scent this is great. It is more alluring than seductive, but it really does draw him in. My fellow also mentioned the shower thing, but in the way of an outdoor one with flowers strewn about. For night wear, I first put on L'Agent, and then top with this. During din din Eau Provocateur is stronger and then slowly as the night draws on, L'Agent starts to sweep out. This is one of the Agent Provocateur scent that I wear on its own. I heart it.

First: I ́m in love with the original "l'agent"...! This "eau provocateur" is for my nose a totally other perfume and not a Light-version of my favorite smell. BIG Jasmin... apple...melon..mmmh!? It is interesting, very "green", but it has not completely persuaded me yet... where is the *Provokation*? My husband likes it, he said, that I smell like fresh given a shower... with flowers ;-) This edt has been sprayed up before 25 min... I will "observe" it the next hours. Love from Louve

Lovely, but really hard to define. Oriental floral? Naaaaah. It is deep but fresh. Not fresh in the usual green/citrus/aquatic way, but in an almost medicinal way. Sexy freshness. So well blended that I can hardly distinguish different notes, so I'm not even going to attempt to describe it. Lovely, and please do try this one.

Really pretty. Certainly not groundbreaking, but a very good representation of magnolia, a notoriously difficult essence to capture without smelling cloying or artificial. I think that the musk softens it, smoothing any jarring edges. As thins progress,I pick up on the famed AP rose, which is nice and helps tie things together as part of a collection. What this ISN'T is a lighter version of L'Agent. I don't really detect any similarities. It's more like the complete opposite of L'Agent. It's sunnier, pretty, and despite the brand, not provocative in the least. L'Agent on the other hand, is sultry, sexy, seductive, and a little dangerous. Unfortunately, they both have a problem with longevity of any sort, and the Eau is the worse of the two. It's easy and necessary to overspray, though I believe it would perform better in the heat. Like so many offerings from AP, you get a real bang for the buck, as many tend to be a bit more challenging and sophisticated than, say, many offerings from other lingerie companies such as Victoria's Secret. Personally, I consider Blue Silk to be a small masterpiece that I need to stock up on before prices explode. It's already becoming more difficult to find, and the prices are going up very much the same way that OG L'Agence exploded on the grey market. All and all, a solid like for me, something easy to reach for without thinking on your way out the door. You could pay a lot more money for a much lesser perfume, so at least give it a try if you love magnolia and have the chance! PS - blissfully, I detect no traces of nauseating, artificial melon!!

I got a 5ml decant of this since it's such a classic. What I forgot, however, is that I'm pretty anosmic to musks, so for those of you who can smell the soft warm powdery skin-like musk note, I can't, until the drydown. What I did get was a somewhat unpleasant chrypre opening,followed by some indolic jasmine and gardenia, and I could swear there is an orange blossom working in there somewhere. It reminds me in a few minutes of Narciso Rodriguez in the white opaque bottle, just a little bit at this stage, sort of pleasantly poopy orange flower blossoms. Rose works its way up behind and becomes slightly sweet-tart with a powdery overlay. I like it in the dry down and think that at the time when it was released it was probably a lovely sexy sent. For me it now smells like many others, but those other ones I prefer a bit more. I do think this is probably nice to cuddle up to on a Friday or Saturday date night. In the beginning I think it skews more masculine but in the dry down more feminine. It is overall unisex with a fem twist. The opening is so chypre-like but dies quickly. Love the bottle, but my 5 ml is it. Silage and longevity low-to moderate depending on application; it comes in raging loud, softens within minutes.

Now that's the one I like! That makes sense - there's magnolia, freesia and green notes. Good things. :) If's fresh and soapy, but it's kind of clean soapyness I like in perfumes. I find it classy and enjoyable, I think it could be a great seductive scent. I hope the longevity and sillage are not that bad as the comments say.

Rats! Second time in a week I've ordered something online thinking it was something else. First Theorema, now L'agent. I want incense!! Oh well, at least I have the correct version coming to me in body silk form. I'm so annoyed with myself!!!! Reviews to follow. Sigh!

My favourite summer fragrance. it's soft and femininen . But longevity not well

The first thought that appeared in my mind was: “oh, okay, now I have got perfect fragrance to wear on funerals in my collection”. It’s mourning, definitely high quality, uniform flower bomb performing in the church or cemetery. It last on my skin not a long time but how you probably know it’s very individual issue so don’t make notes on that.

Why oh why do these delicious green, fruity sparkling top notes vanish almost immediately? Same with the Maitresse! Such a gorgeous uplifting vibrant start then bang it's into a pungent screeching floral with nothing hanging around for long but the Jasmine. The Tuberose and Rose popped in to say hello for a moment. The Freesia just didn't show up and the Ylang Ylang sulked somewhere away in the corner and let Jasmine take over the party. It's not heady evocative jasmine either but a cheap stinker. The dry down several hours in is just nose irritating soapy detergent. I doubt the base is worth waiting for. Absolutely not a scent I would wear out of the house. Maybe for general spritzing on linen in the home at best. Another resounding disapointment from AP.

I don't like this one bit. I adore the original but this just smells 'off' to me. I have found the 'eau' side of the range very disappointing generally. I'll be sticking with the original frags. I am guessing the lighter versions will appeal to people who find the original APs too bold and heady.

L'Agent Eau Provacatuer is niiiice. A very real, fresh picked jasmine, a fruity, melon-freesia-rose combo that reminds me of L'eau D'Issey, and a base with 3 of my favorites: sandalwood, musk, patchouli. I could wear this. I would wear this. I will wear this. It is soft, it is feminine. It is soapy, and cool. Like fresh-washed skin. Like I just took a shower, and am lying on a bed strewn with flower petals...awaiting my lover...or not. Maybe I'm just enjoying the morning solitude for a bit before I get dressed, inhaling the crisp spring air breezing through the sheer curtains. It's not "merely" a clean floral, however. There's something...intimate, in this fragrance. It's not the scent of the bar of soap, it's the scent of the skin bearing it's signature. I think I might buy this.

I am listening to Cadillac Hitmen, plotting a clove cigarette and writing this.. and this fragrance just goes so well. I picked it up on sale in David Jones for $20.00 and I really like it. It's very, very sexy, smoky and leather-bound book-esque. It's also got a slight rose powderiness to it that sweetens the whole combination up a lot, and the patchouli is very powdery too, similar to Maitresse. I definitely will be wearing this on my next night of seduction.... :)

Fragrantica: I think you got Agent Provocateur "Eau Provocateur" in the pink bottle confused with L'Agent "Eau Provocateur". The notes on this page describe "Eau Provocateur" EDT, which is musk and magnolia. On the "Eau Provocateur" page the listed notes include myrrh, part of the pyramid in L'AGENT "Eau Provocateur". These two scent profiles have been crossed. I have both fragrances and can assure you they have been crossed.

Unlike the EDP (which I *love* and rate as one of those rare cheapies that smells at least five times better than its price), this one really doesn't do much for me. Vaguely greenish-fruity-rosey, getting more and more generic as time goes on. Nothing offensive but not really all that good either. Doesn't fill any particular empty space. Just a big shrug really. Not a dislike, but not a strong like either. Pffft!

The green notes are very strong at the beginning, but don't last long. The middle is lovely, on me the magnolia and jasmine stand out most. I put this on before bed, and when I woke up it had dried down to somewhat of a masculine scent but still pleasing. I do not detect any fruity notes, it's definitely floral almost all the way through. Overall a lovely fragrance! I wish the AP L'eau smelled this good on me.

I really like this perfume. I have NOT tried the original version of L'Agent so I cannot compare the two. I find it beautiful, uplifting and very very sexy for a "day-time scent". I am surprised that no one has commented on how similar this smells to Estee Lauder's classic Beautiful. I adore both, but "eau L'Agent smells like a softer, sexier version of "Beautiful".

For me this is very fresh and what comes through on the top is mandarin its quite zesty and I like it. Don't get musk.. Don't get any Melon thankgoodness

Musky floral, smells like hundreds of others. Turns soapy after half an hour. OK for a daytime wear. Nothing interesting overall.
