Pure Aphrodisiaque

There has to be patchouli in this. It is a sweet, floral fruitchouli. The pear is big and ripe in the top with loads of amber, musk and some orchid, jasmine and tuberose. This is definitely NOT boozy. It goes on huge but tones down fast. It could be a headache inducer for some, but I love it for fall.

These are better than the usual Aphrodisiac. Great bouquet, good resilience. I plan to buy again. Scent vibrant, fruit and gentle flower chords.

Really pretty like all their other perfumes a must have.

Yes, indeed, if you love powder you'll fall head over heels for this one. On the other hand, if you expect the fragrance to match its name you will be sorely disappointed because this is soft, sweet, shy, demure and it whispers the color "baby blanket pink". It's not daring, it's nice and it's pretty. Pure Aphrodisiaque is a comfort scent that would be more aptly named Sweet Dreams and packaged in a bottle shaped like a kitten rather than a pussy. I get the sense of Olympea Intense without OI's tang of salt. I also get a whiff of hazelnut which might be the whiskey note. My nose senses no pear and no distinct floral. I'd sum it up as a silky amber powder and the soft musk of kitten fur. Two sprays stayed close to the skin and persisted in a pretty much linear fashion for only about 2 hours and disappeared completely after that. The bottle cap is the MOST annoying I've ever encountered. Removing it requires a hand-crushing twist followed by a hard yank. It goes back on with a snap but I don't think I'll bother putting it back on; instead, I'll just balance it on the bottle in the box with its little peek-a-boo cellophane windows. My 50ml bottle was about $18 at Marshalls. Because the cap is so annoying I contemplated returning it but I'll keep it because I do love the smell of kitten fur.

17. November 2016 It is in stores already and i hVd tried it for 2 days in s row. What can i say? Bottle indeed looks tacky in real life as well and sillage is very soft. Its more like a skin scent. But the scent itself is really nice. The opening got me hypnotized, its soooooo yummy, i like the delicate rum note, since it could have been too strong and could ruin composition. The tuberose is also very soft, the strongest accord to my nose is orchid, surrounded by other notes. Not original at all, i feel like opening smells a very faint version of Balenciagas "Talisman", but a very much dilluted and a weak one. The drydown is similar to "black opium" however. Not sure at all if i would ever buy it, its nice but not memorable at all. And i wish that sillage and lasting power would be waaaaay to better than they are right now.

This is a fresh and light fruity floral, I consider the scent nice and easy going. But seductive and sexy aphrodisiaque? No, I don't think so. It's fresh, like the feeling of coming out of the shower. Suitable for an everyday wear. I think, it would be great for spring and summer, it has kind of fresh air feeling to it. There's a couple of funny comments about the bottle here, that didn't cross my mind actually. I personally like the scent, but the marketing is just wrong.

Aww, this is almost...virginal, and in this instance, I definitely think the gilded pink vulva bottle is a better interpretation than the original. Sweet, innocent, and a touch shy; sweet orchid, really sweet rum (like a rum infused lolly), balanced with soft amber-woods notes and an aquatic pear. I know there are white floral notes, but they are very much in the background to my nose. Good sillage and lasts around 4 hrs on skin, 5 on clothes.

It's a beast mode-er. BUT, very sweet and a little too girly and desperate coming out of the gate. It's very... forward. It smells like perfume.

A gorgeous floral that's perfect for everyday life. Projection is lacking though, which was the only downfall for me.

btw...as a straight girl, I would definitely prefer a flacon looking like a d*ck....lol

It is called "Pure"...Aphrodisiac. They're hinting at something else here, I think. Most ppl seem to think ahhhh, fruit-floral, that's not.. Depends what you like though, & most men actually run a mile from anything too "heavy" or too ambre & or powdery - mostly their idea of actually sexy is clean, impossibly fresh & perfect, like Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca, Creed Love In White etc; it's not always what some ppl assume is "sexy." This is not my thing; but it's not awful; tbh I was hoping for "similar to Maxmara Kashmina Touch" - which was gorgeous, gorgeous but this isn't that - it's not that bad though, although obviously it misses part of Agent Provocateur's usual audience; I think they were going for the Victoria's Secret "perfume" wearers; & it couldn't be worse than those VS chemical fumes..actually its far better than those - but the tuberose & orchid really bothers my nose; tuberose espc though its a supporting role

ok,so from now on , when people here, say that a perfume is generic,girly and nothing special I WILL listen to them and take their advise.I will believe them and save my money.I am so disapointed ,beyond words!!!!.If you are a fan of Agent Provocateur fragrances don`t buy this,it has nothing in common with others gorgeous perfumes from the brAND ,especially the first ones. P.S This one is sour and chemically on me.Nothing good to say about it.If you are looking for rum notes ,here is not the place,you shold go somewhere else ,because rum here is non exissting THE only one thing positive about the perfume is that is suitable when you go in elevaitors with people and don`t want to suffocate them,or travel by bus with lots of people early in the morning.The perfume is so boring and not sexy and not interesting,that will not suffocate anybody and at the same time you are not without fragrance on yourself.Perfect when i go to the supermarket or throwing out the trash.The person who put the name' Aphrodisiac 'on it is probably impotent or a virgin and has no idea what sexy really is.

Sweet, fruity perfume. I really wanted to like this as I love the bottle 😍 but it's a fairly generic sweet pink fruity perfume, like a less interesting and sweeter version of CK Endless Euphoria, and although I'm not particularly sensitive to perfumes, this one makes me feel sick and headachey

Well so much for that provocative bottle, the juice is as bland as you can get for a brand focused on sex appeal. White musky florals, with a drip of fruit juice. Nothing dirty or skanky. This and Aphrodisiaque are the most underwhelming of the AP line.

I've tried this at the airport in London with an open mind, and I'm sad to say that my first impression was: "cheap Victoria's Secret body spray that went bad". Maybe the tester was off, but for now I only got a plasticky synthetic floral.

If this scent is the definition of "pure aphrodisiaque", then I must be a hardcore pervert. What a disappointment... Too close to skin, too soft to be sexy or impressive. Why fool people with such marketing?

I have to say, from the name, you expect one type of fragrance; something mature and sexy. In reality though, you get the total opposite. I can't help feeling like I've been rolling around in a sweet shop. Don't get me wrong, the perfume is nice, but I don't see it as a seductive scent. I see it as a very youthful, sweet and cheerful type of perfume. Maybe something for day time, or I could imagine people wearing it when they first start going clubbing. If you want something that has more of a strong, independent, sexy woman type of vibe, you probably won't find that here. If you're after a sweet day time scent, chances are that this is an alright fit. Also, if you, like me, are a huge fan of the original Agent Provocateur scent, don't expect this to be anything like them. I won't discuss the bottle as I think others have done a great job at that already. In summary though: the name doesn't seem to fit the scent, neither does the advertising. More sweet and sugary than sexy and seductive.

This is a fragrance you don't plan to love but end up really loving because it just smells helluva good. It's what you wish Victorias Secret Angels perfumes smelled like. Sexy but not cheap. High-end and seductive. Fun but cultured and classy. Enjoyable but refined. It manages to smell happy and seductive but classy at the same time. I think Victorias Secret fragrances try to do that. This one just does it. If you love the sex appeal of VS, but can't stomach how cheap it is, then go for this. It's something that will make you feel young, sensual and joyous! And expensive! I usually don't think that white florals are done well; however, the white floral in this is done magnificently. It doesn't smell like its trying too hard to be a white floral; it just IS!

Okay so I have had this perfume in my collection for years and this is probably the 2nd time I've worn it. However this 2nd time (now at age 55) I have a totally different appreciation for this scent. It is both floral, fruity, and musky (I do not not smell rum) and I continuously get gentle whiffs of this fragrance for several hours. The scent trail is not huge but if a man should happen to get into your personal space "watch out"! Pure Aphrodisaque is an understated provocative and sexy scent that will literally catch you off guard! This reminds of the the cute and quiet librarian who wears glasses and her hair pinned up but when she gets home glasses come off, hair comes down, and underneath her plain dress is a red laced bustier!

To me smells very white floral at first but with wear becomes more powdery and the rose comes through. The sillage is okay for a cheaper perfume but the longevity isn't that great; it becomes clean smelling and just blends with your skin scent. It is a beautiful scent though, seems innocent and sweet. For me this is an easy scent to wear all year round but definitely seems more suitable for spring time, it's light and not alcohol-y even when first sprayed so very pleasant to wear just wish it lasted longer. Since recently smelling Delina by PDM I would say this scent is very similar.

I’m such an Agent Provocateur fan that I blind bought this and I’m so disappointed I did. It’s not even interesting. It just smells like I’m waiting in line at Victoria’s Secret and everyone waiting in line has sprayed all the tester perfumes. Fruity floral boring that burns at my nose hairs. It’s has longevity I’ll give it that and I quite like the bottle design. It is a lingerie brand after all, but they would have been better off making this thing vibrate because as a scent it’s just a waste of money to me.

This is a lovely fragrance ✨ I really enjoy wearing it. I disagree with the negative comments and agree with the positive ones 😃 it has something unique about it, no other fragrance smells like this. Yes it’s not spectacular but it’s still very nice. And it also has some mysterious vibe to it, it’s not too sweet or too fruity or too girly. Also it’s for every weather and occasion :-) maybe just not for the middle of the summer.

Blind bought it today. It smelled very gentle, sweet and flowery. Absolutely familiar. If it wouldn't be so shy and soft, I would say it's nothing special. But this fragrance is a noble and modest at the same time. After about 2 hours it became subtle and I recognized my beloved Giorgio Armani Si in it. I like only very complex fragrances, but Si is an exception. The notes are different but get obvious similarity.

This is an amazing perfume. I've put it on one morning, forgot about it, then wanted to compliment my colleague on her perfume because she smelled vintage powdery.... but it was me! This perfume starts off generic and boring, but after a while it smells like a vintage powder room with some shots of whiskey and blooming creamy tuberoses around.

Ok... I loved Agent Provocateur because they realised that sexy isn ́t super sweet and candy like and fruity. Have they stopped making those truly sexy scents?

The bottle shape is inappropriate, of a vagina! It would have been more attractive if it was shaped like a lady as Aphrodite was the goddess of love not sex!

I'm not a tuberose fan; I don't wear the bottle, I wear the scent. I'd be willing to try it, for sure. I don't see a full bottle in my future, though.

and the pattern on the box looks like a cross between a sperm cell and a vulva. The vaginal bottle reminds me of the original Boucheron bottle.

Very disappointed. The scent reminds me a cheap 1dollar store parfume. That's all I can say about the "Pure Aphrodisiaque".
