الزفير "بضم الزاي" أو السفاير لمن لا يعرفه هو حجر الياقوت الأزرق وهو من الأحجار الكريمة الرائعة وعلى الرغم من كون الفاتح السماوي اللون هو الأنقى والأغلى سعرا غير أنني أفضل الداكن الذي يميل إلى اللون الكحلي، وهو بالمصادفة ما يرمز إليه هذا العطر. واللون الأزرق بشكل عام له دلالة على الحكمة، ويعتقد البعض أن أحجار الزفير أو الياقوت الأزرق تعطي احساسا بالأمان والاطمئنان لمن تختم بها أو لبسها. سؤالنا المعتاد: هل لاسم العطر علاقة ما بتأثيره أو أثره على من يرتيديه؟ هذا ما ستجيب عنه مكونات هذا العطر بالإيجاب أو بالسلب. أنا اعتدت مع شركة أجونيست أن أهتم بالأسماء التي تختارها لعطورها. نعم هناك شركات تهتم فقط بالاسم كمحفز دعائي من اجل الترويج والبيع ولكن هناك شركات أخرى تهتم بأن يكون اسم العطر معبرا عنه وعن فلسفة خلطته أعتقد أن شركة أجونيست من النوع الثاني من الشركات. المكونات لهذا العطر تبلغ "27" مادة عطرية إنه عدد كبير حقا، وهذا يتطلب الحذر الشديد والحنكة عند الخلط وإلا أصبح هذا العدد الكبير عبئا مرهقا على الأنف صاحب التوليفة وربما انعكس سلبا على رائحة العطر العامة. لكن هنا تم الاختيار بعناية، والأهم هو تقدير النسب المحددة لكل مكون. لو كان هناك تصنيف عطري باسم اورينتال تشيبر"chypre Oriental" لاستحقه هذا العطر بجدارة الافتتاحية قد توهم الكثيرين بأنه قريب من عطر مونتال الأشهر بلاك عود، ولكن من يعرف عطر عود اصفهان من ديور الإصدارات الخاصة فسيقول وبشكل قاطع أنه يميل لعود أصفهان الكريمي الغورماندي، وليس لبلاك عود القوي النفاذ. ولكن مع مرور الوقت سيدرك أنه سترتفع أسهمه فوق عود أصفهان وبشكل ملحوظ فلا وجود لأي رائحة صناعية وكذلك فإن رائحة السيفيت التي ينفر منها البعض وتغلب على معظم حصريات ديور لا وجود لها في هذا العطر. كعادة دار أجونيست فإن الافتتاحية مجرد مساعد لقلب العطر الذي سينبض من أول لحظة لانطلاق العطر. البداية انطلاقة بسرعة البرق ل: زهرة الأوركيد "الدافئة المفعمة بالحياة" + الورود البلغارية المجففة المدخنة قليلا كما هو الحال في عود أصفهان + والياسمين الدافئ المثير ولكن بشكل غير مكثف + القليل من الخوخ يكفي حتما لظهوره. هذا المزيح الوردي الفاكهي الدافئ المثير سينثر فوقه نوتة تابلية متكاملة "بيرفيكت" : الفلفل الأسود " ملك البهارات ذا رائحة حارة محفزة وقوية " + الكمون "الدافئ الجاف" + الكزبرة "تابلية حارة ترابية" + الزنجبيل + القرفة "الحادة المقاومة للصداع" + زهرة القرنفل "الحارة اللاذعة" ولكن الكميات متوازنة خافتة فالعطر ليس كما هو مصنف في فراجرانتيكا أورينتال سبايسي بالمعنى المتعارف عليه لدى الشهير سيرج لوتننس الآن ستنقلب الأوضاع ويعود الأنف بالعطر من شفا حافة السبايسي نوت إلى الجهة التشيبرية من خلال الدفع بهذه المكونات الرائعة التي تثير الشعور بالبهجة وعمل توازن مع الدفء الذي كان سيستولي على العطر فضلا عن الحالة المزاجية الرائعة التي ستدخلك إليها: أوراق البنفسج "المعدنية الأرضية الطابع" + زهرة السوسن "التي تشعرك بنسمات لطيفة منعشة" + زهرة الغرنوقي "إبرة الراعي" وما أدراكم بعلاقتها بتعديل المزاج + البرجموت الإيطالي الحلو + التوت البري "المنعش الخشبي الطابع" + الجزر "السوسني الرائحة" + زهرة حجر الدم "السويتية" تخيل هذا المزيج حينما يتم الدفع من خلفه بنفحات من العود الذي أميل إلى كونه عود لاوسي مبخر لتناغمه الشديد وفوحانه الرائع بجوار الورود المدخنة الآن سيتم التدعيم اللازم لنوتة العود من خلال الباتشولي "نعناعي ترابي" + خشب الغاياك الرائع + راتنج الكبيباء أو مرهم الأمازون " رائحة راتنجية ثقيلة، تستخدم في صناعة الطلاء والورنيش " + الراتينج "اللبان" العطري الصومالي " رائحة بخورية قوية " + نبات السعدة" يتبع فصيلة البرديات وهو نبات ذا رائحة ترابية خشبية إلى هنا والعطر متكامل متوازن ولكن ما المانع في منحه سترة غورماندية رائعة تزيده جمالا وفتنة من خلال هذا الثلاثي السويتي: الفانيليا "الحلوة الدافئة التي تشعر بالاسترخاء" + التونكا " بودري حلو مكثف " + بلسم اللابدونم " راتنج بني لزج يستخدم في عطور التشيبر الخشبية " هل وصلت الآن فكرة اسم العطر الذهنية لأنوفنا؟ نعم العطر مزاجي تأملي عميق قد يبدو بسيطا لمن يحبون الروائح الجميلة الفاتنة ولكنه وجبة شهية للباحثين عن التركيبات المتراكبة المتداخلة المكونات: طبيعية بشكل لا يحتاج إلى أنف خبير ليتحقق من ذلك فإنك ستدرك فورا فخامة ما ترتديه منذ اللحظة الأولى الرائحة: رائعة جميلة يندر أن ينفر منها أحد الثبات والفوحان: مرضيان بشكل كبير فالمكونات لا تخلو من الراتنجيات والزيوت الثقيلة الغنية. العطر دعوة لكل محبي العود الممزوج بالعديد من أنواع الورود الفاتنة، وكذلك محبي عطور التشيبر ولكن بمذاق شرقي مثير. أما محبي وعشاق عود اصفهان فمن غير المنطقي ألا تقتنون هذه التحفة العطرية

Opens like a classic Oud rose fragrance with the balance tipped toward rose, my thinking was this might be a little too sweet and rosy for me. Do not be fooled by the opening though I don't feel this fragrance is similar to Montale or other Oud/roses when you take it in the context of a whole fragrance from application to deep drydown. Neverless it oozes quality from the get go, the first couple of minutes and I started to detect something else sweet and powdery like a violet. The frankincense then starts to kick and although subtle changes the nature slightly. This progression continues and the scent becomes utterly unpredictable something I wouldn't have guessed from such a clichéd opening, the complexity of dark Saphir becomes more apparent. Don't get me wrong Oud, rose and incense are the main vibes but other subtleties rear their heads and it starts to seem like more of a heady journey scent. This journey doesn't stray too far from a well trodden path but most importantly for me goes from something I think is okay to something I'm fond of at the end. The drydown is subtle hints of patchouli, vanilla and labdanum dark Saphir was a surprising gem. If you love your rose scents (and let's face it you've plenty to choose from) this is really worth sniffing out.

This scent had me exclaiming "Whoa!" like a broken record and huffing my own arm for a good 20 minutes -- salivating as I did so -- whilst my cat looked on with disdain. So basically, it induced an immediate "My Preciousssssss" reaction from me. You'll have to pry this stuff out of my cold, dead, gorgeously scented hands because I am never letting it go! The juice is complex and well-blended. Gorgeous composition, exquisitely executed. The opening dazzles, the heart is swoon-worthy, and the dry down is a dark mistress who stays with you for hours, whispering all manner of scandalous things into your ear. Dark Safir is a gothic seduction. We wants it, we needs it. Must have the Preciousssss...

I'd only just discovered Agonist when I found they were no longer operating! Such a shame as from my experiences with Dark Saphir and Blue North I feel they represented good value for very well-balanced fragrances. I was lucky to get Dark Saphir at a bargain basement price recently. For me it's a lovely take on rose and oud; strong without being overpowering, floral without being sickly, just the right sillage. It reminds me of the sadly discontinued Clinique Wrappings (please bring it back Clinique, it was the best fragrance you produced and the current offerings are just nasty). So, I seem to favour perfumes that companies don't want to produce any more...

Strong opening! Maybe this is the phase "dark" perfume. The initial part is not my favorite, but immediately reveals the character strong,safe and dark. After a while it becomes much more "quiet", and each note begins to have its role... this fragrance is well done but it is very complex. The sillage is great, and longevity huge (12 + hours). Gothic,and beautiful! Sillage: 8.5/10 Longevity: 9/10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

Rose, oud and patchouli. A perfect mix, including the other notes in this dark but still airy scent. This ones lasts for days on fabrics. It has a sweet tone and spicyness to it, and it is quite sexy in my opinion. And yes, this is a gothic scent as many of the other reviewers says:) Works great for both men and women. I loooove it

WOW, All i can say is that as soon as i smelled this fragrance i had to have it. I been wearing it all day and it doesnt let down one different note after the other it definitely takes you on a trip.It ́s dark,warm,sensual,and sexy .This is a must try for any serious collector . All together 9/10

Cold, almost mentholated violet and a tart, rasberry-prominent fruit accord are diversifying this quite classic rose-oud combo. Among the notes one expects to find here, like various spices, patchouli and so on, there's another set of notes that give an unexpected vegetal feel: iris, carrot, orchid, heliotrope even. Dark Saphir is intentionally smoother than most oud-centric fragrances and has its powdery aspect, its acidic tartness, its calming resinous vanilla in the base. Smells like a lot of quality ingredients and a lot of interaction between them. Like in music, there's the lead part and there's this whole orchestra of different instruments supporting it in a well measured mix. Not something you see every day, IMO. I'm reviewing the rectangular bottle.

A gorgeous gothic beauty and the best perfume in the eclectic Agonist line, this mysterious juice combines many elements: violet leaves, pepper, cumin, coriander, ginger, bergamot, aromatic herbs, peach, raspberry, rose (prominent), iris, jasmine, geranium, carrot, carnation, orchid, heliotrope, cinnamon, oud, patchouli, guaiac wood, labdanum, vanilla, copaiba, olibanum, nagarmotha, and tonka to create a truly dark haunting aura that is reminiscent a star lit night in a forest laden with spice and flower laden trees. The perfume is all natural and beautifully blended. Appealing to either genders with moderate to strong sillage, this is a very unusual and hauntingly addictive potion. Very very complex and simply stunning!

Smells very oudy, in fact there's not much to set this perfume apart from pretty much any other niche oud fragrance. I think it smells very much like Black Oud by Illuminum (plus a plethora of other similarly concocted frags) and I already have a bottle of that. However, being me, I had been craving a bottle of this and took the plunge and now I have two (ordering mistake on my part) and all I can say is "it's nice". Hardly high praise. Too similar to too many frags - aka a little generic (the now done-to-death rose/oud accord) and I am awash with that perfume family. The way I feel about this perfume is that its perfectly fine, dull, done to death but fine.

Sexy, sexy, sexy. This is an oud peppered rose with the sumptuous roundedness of Portrait of a Lady minus any sharp edges and with a cumin heavy rose oud dry down. The opening notes are all about a seriously aromatic spiced violet to me. This becomes quickly and seamlessly a very heady, sultry, well rounded and seductive dark spiced rose oud which sits closely but firmly on the skin. Utterly enjoyable, sexy without trying too hard, a head turner.

Dark Saphir was more like Dusty Saphir in the beginning. As dusty as tumbleweed and as spicy as a pepper shaker. I didn't get any fruit initially, but later on I definitely detected a little raspberry trying to come up for air. The drydown is suprisingly quiet and subdued and features a warm, woody rose. Not a wet, earthy rose but the kind of dry rose petals you'd find in potpourri. That thought wouldn't usually appeal to me but it works here.

This is a nice rose based scent as numerous others but well blended and refined although it's not a groundbreaking scent. All I get is a big dominant rose with some fruity notes, rasberries. No oud here. Very good longevity, moderate sillage and projection. For the rose lovers..

It may seem strange, but it's a scent that buys a pleasant feeling of freshness and a great flirty sense. Great composition.

Really like the complexity of this one, it's distinctive and different. Love the cumin and coriander.

Dark Saphir opens with a bomb siren of green violet and spices, then grows louder with industrial roses--they've been stripped of innocence and turned neon blue, fluorescent sillage at arms length that doesn't settle down. An hour later the blitz is still on, metallic flowers and galvanized seltzer rain. Eventually it cools to a clean patchi-oudish clear-coat that lasts all night. Complicated and tense--one to wear when sporting thorns.

Dark Saphir was supposed to be a splendor! But it ended up to be a clone of a traditional Rose and Oud Attar that it had dreamed of wanting to be. It's sophistication resides in the top notes of spices! The ginger is delightful with the notes of pepper and bergamot! It starts complicated, smooth, sharp, intense, passionate, like a rising star, on the top of it's performance! But like many stars, they get a head of themselves and they tumble.... That is where the heart note of this fragrance comes in. The star always has an enabler, someone seedy to get them to fake it, use it, and screw it up... The raspberry ketone. This ketone is pungently plastic and synthetic and absolutely does not act as a good blender for the Rose and Oud. Truly, once you start taking enhancers... your career is over. I'm sorry, this fragrance is not for me. I have lovely Attar's of Real Oud and Real Rose. This Agonist is just a sad synthetic, fruity, oud and rose. 2/10 Great Performance! Poor quality ingredients. The synths really ruin this "attar".

Dark Saphir won’t win any originality awards. Not that every perfume needs an award but Rose-Oud scents have been done before, and many of them much more interesting than Dark Saphir.

عطر عودي دعني اقول نوعا ماء انه عطر عود بقالب جديد ولذيذ بمعنى عطور العود في العادة نجد المكونات الثقيلة كالعنبر واللابنديوم وربما البخور الحاد احيانا لكن انت تجتمع ثلاثة او اربع ستايلات بعطر واحد فهو امر جميل مقدمة العطر وضوح بارز للباشتول والعود و الروز ولكن تشاركهم روائح السبايس اللطيفة جدا والغير مزعجة وتكاد لاتشعر بها بل ستشعر بروائح الفاكهة الحلوة اللطيفة وليس البارزة بحيث يكون العطر سويتي كالحلوى لا طبعا اذا تخيل البداية رائحة العود المتقبل مع رائحة الباتشول (المائل لرائحة التربه) مع روائح فاكهية حتما بداية حلوه ورائعه ومنعشة ربما سيعشر البعض ممن جرب عطر سيتي لوف ان البداية قريبة ربما قريبة في رائحة الباتشول والعود والروز، طبعا هذا العطر افضل بكثير... بعد فترة ستجد مقدمة العطر قد ذهبت ادراج الرياح ولم يتبقى الاابطال العطر وهم العود الناعم جدا والروز الذي بدء يتقلص دورة وبالباتشول الذي اجده يشارك باستياء مع ايماني انه مستمر في دورة هنا الباتشول ليس حاد بل لطيف لاتقلق ان كنت لاتحب الباتشول فهو هنا سيعجبك وربما قد لاتلحظة في خضم تلك المكونات الكثيرة ياتي القلب وبكل امانه لم استطع اميز احد من روائح الوورد والازهار الا الروز , وقليلا الجيرانيوم ولكن خلال هذه الفتره يصصبح العطر اكثر هدوء ونعومة وربما الازهار كان لها هذا الدور وفي هذه المرحلة اجد العطر ياخذك لرحلة حالمه ، ستستمتع مع العطر كلما جف او برد اكثر كل ماتخلت تلك المكونات عن دورها واصبح العود وحيدا وربما شاركة خشب الغاياك والباتشول وما اجمل من نهاية العطر في مجملة لطيف محبب للنفس غير مزعج مثل بعض عطور العود القوية تطور العطر جميل نقاوة وجودة المكونات جدا رائعه ارجوا من الاخوة تجربة العطر قبل الشراء ثبات العطر ممتاز الفوحان مرضي جمال الرائحة 8.5/10 هذا من عطور التي حوت العود بشكل استطيع ان ارشحة لك ان تستخدمه قبل اتنام كي تحلم معه ...! ممن لايعرف الباشتول فهو نبات قريب من النعان من ناحية الشكل وربما هو من العائلة :) لكن تتميز رائحة بانها تميل الى رائحة التربة تخيل معي رائحة التربة في المساويك وكلما برد كلما مال رائحة الكافور نوعا مع واحينا تشعر ، اذا اذا لمحت رائحة ترابية في العطر اعرف انه المجرم الباتشول... وفي النهاية تذكر حديث الرسول صلوات ربي وسلامة عليه رواه أبو داود والترمذي وحسنه والبيهقي: "الناس بنو آدم وآدم من تراب" لاتنس ذكر الله بعد فتره قمت بتجربة عطر من ماركة Histoires de Parfums واسمه Rosam العطر قريب جدا من هذا العطر لكن هذا العطر الاخير اكثر عمقا مما يجعله يميل الى المخلطات الشرقية ويتسم العطر ان يستمر طويلا على خطة او رائحة معينه بعكس عطرنا السابق فهو متطور ولطيف وكلاهمها جميلان

The post has just arrived with my samples of aoud. I am testing Montale Black Aoud side by Dark Saphir. Between the two I would choose Dark Saphir. I don't believe in gender fragances but I would say that Montale would suits beter a guy and the Agonist a woman. What made me feel attracted to Saphir was the sweet note in the background, right from the first beginning. Both are great, don't get me wrong but the first blast made my nose turns to Saphir. I always try to link what a scent smells like and at some point it does remind the sweet spices and clove from Elephant, with the aoud playing around. Someone mentioned a poutpourri and the feeling of it is right there like december and christmas. The drydown is strong patchouli as in Miyabi from Annayake. A few hours have passed, a few washouts and a shower. The patchouli has survived it all. Amazing.

After being disappointed by many of the 'knock them on the head and take no prisoners' type of oud frags, this is a welcome change. The oud makes its presence surreptitiously, cloaked by a gown of violet leaves, coriander, jasmine, geranium and a delicate rose (all 25 of the ingredients are listed on the package and bottle). After the dry-down, this lady (not a man, although it can be worn by both) sings a slow, mellifluous ballad, enticing the wearer with its repeated wafts of rose and herbs. High quality ingredients here (no plastic harps in this lullabye!). This is a seductive oud, that sneaks in rather than bang on the door. Definitely a keeper, Excellent silage and longevity (8 hours of sultry wafting).

I had a sample from the discovery set that I bought from another collector, and I tried all the agonist scents out, and this is what I got out of Dark Saphir. This one is like a really smooth and lingering OUD that make one feel light and cozy. Really good quality perfume that lasts for 10+ hours. There are several layer of rose and oud from different countries. A really nice jasmine note is present, and it works really well blended with the mix of burned resins. The base of high quality amber and guaiac wood really is super nice. This one is the best I found in the discovery box. If you like this one, you will probably also like noir de noir from Tom Ford, which I am a huge fan of. Overall Rating: 9/10 /x/

Dark Saphir smell like New York Oud Bond No 9 which I have too. both start almost the same way. Both are modern oud rose , classy and easy to wear in compare to Black oud from montale which I also had but I could not use it bcoz it is too heavy and old-fashioned! now back to dark saphir: start strong for less than 30min then you start smelling the harmony of all notes I like it and I like how developed to become soft and refined woody rosy earthy with a touch of vanile. Sillage: 8/10 Longevity: 10/10. I would buy Dark saphir if I did not have New York oud! my point of view D S is the only unisex compared to New York oud (bond no9) or Black oud Montale so it can be worn easily by women too.

This is semi-sweet, but in the way that European dark chocolate mousse is semi-sweet versus biting directly into an American milk chocolate bar. The stormy violet and fruits tip this scent into the "sweet" category, but the massive dose of spices temper it like a heavy blanket back into a region that Donna Karan's Black Cashmire and Signature do. Rose is prominent, but it's a dark one. It's definitely not light and white. It's purple, swollen, maybe even (as the name of the fragrance suggests) imbued with blue. Surprisingly, this reminds me of the Rose Yves Rocher created for Rose Absolute edp. I'd almost call it the more worldly, darker and beguiling brother of YR's Rose Absolute.

captivating. lighted rose and dark essence of Agar wood. faded Olibanum, mix of roses ( orchid, sheer Syrian Jasmin, & carnation), spices with gaiac wood. the sweetness of Vanilla, Peach, Raspberry, & Cinnamon are incredibly lightened and amazing despite it cannot be detected clearly but it give the mix a great pleasure. a zafron is added as well as it rises clearly in the dry down. great blend and it does explains the saphir quite well. but the dry down as well is awkward. too bad.

I got a sample of this, but it was only enough for two applications. Have to say I was a little disappointed, this seems just like a generic oud to me, nothing spectacular or different. I get very dry peppery spice cutting through the oud, but there's no floral, no rose, and no sweetness. It's smooth, not a massively 'in your face' type oud bomb, but it's not particularly outstanding. If I'd had more I would have tried layering it with another rose.

What a gorgeous fragrance! To me the name is a bit misleading due to it having rose in the composition and it having saphire blue in the presentation....maybe I missed something and honestly if I did, it doesn't matter because I enjoyed every aspect of this fragrance from start to finish.The rose here is not super heady and I'm able to pick up the supporting cast. This is something I'd love to add to my collection in the future.

I really love this scent. But have you ever smelled a fragrance and said to yourself "I've smelled this before."? Well I have it took me a couple of days to figure it out but I finally got it. The bottle and the maker are not in Fragrantica's data base. It's called Oud Sharqia by Ard Al Zaafaran. I bought it from the U.A.E. about a year ago. There's not much of a difference between the two other than about $180!

More sweet and wet than Rose d'Arabie from Armani Privé, but it's from the same family. Sillage is heavy first 2 hours turns to moderate/soft next 4 hours. longivity is 8 hours easily. It's my first perfume from this house, but I'll definitely get another one (Black Amber) soon, due to the quality of these scents. I agree it's expensive, but when you love, you never count. In all 9/10

I'm in love with the first two hours of Dark Saphir. The oud is smoky and camphoric, playing well with patchouli and elevated from the normal oud and rose combinations by raspberry and cumin. The drydown settles into something more safe and familiar but still pleasant, lasting for hours on moisturised skin. Definitely a standout for me, I'm very curious now to try more from Agonist.

Extremely high quality fragrance. For me the raspberry and oud dominate with the cumin, coriander, and cinnamon in the background, but most noticeable. This is one of the best finds I've come across in a long time. The sillage and longevity are top notch.

This reminds me of Czech and speake dark rose. I like dark rose better because imo much smoother less messy frag. I still like ds just one too many notes maybe.
