Vanilla Marble

Other than the fact that this is a great scent it fills a very much needed gap in my collection this is a summery vanilla it actually doesn't work in winter or fall on me at all. As most of you probably know most vanilla fragrances are made for the colder weather with most of them having a warm and cozy vibe not this with that being said I'm huge believer in wearing whatever fragrance you want whenever you want it's just a matter of what works with my skin. Vanilla Marble opens with marzipan few minutes in you get the vanilla, figs and tiare with hints of tonka and patchouli to give it an edge. The name Vanilla Marble fits this fragrance perfectly it's like the vanilla is a piece of cold marble with every other note on top of it. I usually dislike the tiare flower note it usually takes over the composition and make it smell cheap to my nose but in this it's just the right amount giving it that tropical feel paired with figs which gives a coconutty slightly green vibe. All the notes in this composition smell very natural and of high quality. Adjectives I would use to describe this fragrance are tropical, cooling, sweet and fun. It's a unique take on a beach scent and works for other casual scenarios as well. Now Vanilla Marble like the rest of us has some issues lol but they're fixable. when I spray 6 spritz I get about 1 hour of projection and 5-6 longevity which is a bit lacking to me but when I double that amount I get great performance about 3-4 hours of good projection and 12+ longevity ( keep in mind that I do spray on my clothes). With a high price point of 195$ for a 50ml bottle and the amount of sprays you need to get the excellent performance it's up to you to decide wether it's worth it or not but for me it's worth it specially since it's in that rare summery vanilla category and the only I own for that.

When I first spray on Vanilla Marble I am hit with a cold blast of vanilla and almond and I think it is the fig, which mixed in with the other notes smells faintly like coconut on my skin. It is like opening a container from Cold Stone Creamery or Breyers and gulping in that cold vanilla. It is the freshest, coolest feeling vanilla that I have ever smelled. I am not completely wild about the first 30 minutes of this fragrance, which is a bit overwhelming, but fortunately this baby dries down pretty quickly to a divine scent that you want to keep on your your skin forever. You can smell the creamy tiare, a tiny bit of floral, which I assume is the orchid and the tiare,and finally the warmth of the amber and benzoin. The resins make the scent last and last, but they do not take away from the overall impression of a slightly cool to the touch scent, exactly like marble, hence the name I assume. The patchouli keeps this from being too overly sweet. Vanilla Marble stays a cosy skin scent for hours. This also layers well with other spicier vanilla scents like Organza Indecence. These two are magic together.

Vanilla icecream, strong the first 20 minutes, then soft as a cashmere sweater. It is a delight to smell and it would be a great gourmand for those colder days in automn. You must love monothematic gourmands to enjoy this as there is neither much development nor interesting twists going on. Plus: it could get sickening if overapplied. I am a huge fan of this genre of fragrances even though I end up not using them much in my real life. I struggle a bit to find them suitable for reading books in the park in casual wear... I have sampled now most of the Agonist line and feel that their "chic children's candy bag" trademark is something worth recognizing even if the quality is so so in terms of sillage and longevity (economic bottles) ... I get a bit annoyed by not smelling anything after 40 minutes in a few of their offerings. Still, I like the brand and feel tempted to recommend it to friends who would surely smell gorgeous and playful with Agonist.

Top Shelf vanilla just about sums this up. My sample was tested just before bed and it was a very good choice because this dreamy fragrance simply lulled me right to sleep. This is a comfort scent, made specifically for the sweet lovers in the house. Vanilla Marble is flirty enough to be worn on a lunch date on girls day out yet sophisticated enough to wear when you are planning to rock your come hither look. It seems that the Almond listed was used to spike the Vanilla up a notch and it worked. This is hard-core finely tuned Breyers. Yes, Breyers ... all natural ingredients. Waking up is morning, the sweetness had died down considerably leaving just a faint hint of the sweetness but not completely worn away. Either I slept through the sandalwood phase or maybe my oncoming cold intercepted my woods because I didn't get to enjoy the dry down. I highly recommend this fragrance to those who like to get their sweet on!

Vanilla Marble is insanely sweet and intensely gourmand. The opening is a wave of coconut, liquor and suncream type vibes reminds me of summer, it's heavy exotic if not a little synthetic. It's amazing how different almond can come across because here yet again it's strong a coconutty. Reminds me of a vanilla candle with a hint of floral sweetness from tiare flower...don't get anything else. My natural reaction was to like it in the opening because it's so sickly sweet and strong but yet again I couldn't wear this plasticy lotion type smell because it would cloy heavily. good longevity and projection though and if you like um sweet and playful as they come then this is the scent for you.

Not overly into gourmand scents however this one is definately well constructed, really top quality vanilla aroma blended perfectly with the other notes. On my skin I get 6+ hours, also a real compliment getter! I can honestly say although I might be alone on this one that I prefer this to Gerlain SDV which is also a fantastic scent. Give it a try.

I agree with rickyrebarco - this vanilla is COOL. Most vanillas become heavy and oppressive on me. This stays light and cool. I really like it and would love to own it - but - $195? I just can't justify that much for this fragrance. OOPS! Spoke too soon. I did buy it and still love it.

I just bought a FB after using up all my samples. When I wear this I feel like I am on the beach. Vanilla Vanilla and then some more. I get a little of the coconut vibe too and a lot of Amber in the dry down. Highly recommend !

I have the glass bottle version... one of the most prized pieces in my collection.

I received a free sample of this from LuckyScent for buying full bottles of some other perfumes. I put this on about five minutes ago, and I'm getting a synthetic and somewhat fruity playdough-like vanilla smell which reminds me of dolls' heads and IKEA stores! This perfume might make a great candle or a roomspray, but (at least on my skin) is a little odd-smelling on skin. I'll give this a 'like' because I do like how dolls' heads and IKEA stores smell, but... I'm doubtful if I'd want to go about smelling like these for more than an hour! Patchouli and amber dislikers: I'm someone on whom these notes really stick out, but I can't smell either of these notes on me.

Very sweet gourmand scent.I can smell the fruity overtones of fig mixing with a true potent vanilla. The tiare flower and almond add further floral sweetness and a nutty ,dipped in sugar after trail.The notes compete,I can pick them up individually,yet somehow it works.Two hours later,it has softened into a fruity vanilla masterpiece! The natural oils come through,this is high quality,with impressive sillage,and stayed on my wrist after 5 hand washing`s and shower, 19 hours later! If you appreciate Profumum Romo-Acqua e Zucchero,Confetto,Battito d`ali,or even Angel,you will fall in love with this ultimate gourmand!

Am I crazy (reading these reviews below...going what are they smelling??) I just purchase this....and so far I get LOTS of Tonka Bean Almond and Vanilla. Coming back to this review.... A very well made vanilla dominant scent with the milky vibe of tonka that brings a combined scents of deep resins, sweet vanilla hints of wood, slight hint of fruit, and just a tiny bit of clove/cinnamon that is the scent of coumarin. Sadly, I don't detect tiare nor any coconut here. But it is a lovely scent. Profumum Dolce Acqua is a similar scent -- but MASSIVELY stronger and a bit more almondy. But very close.

I can totally envision walking on a beach boardwalk. The wood is sun bleached and warm with a faint saltiness from the sea. Your skin is slightly tanned and the suntan lotion ever so faintly wafts up. It's crisp, yet warm and inviting. I want to laze around on the beach with this scent. There's a lot of warm and woody sweet vanilla in this one. A small hint of coconut gives it that suntan lotion accord in the background, but it's done very nicely here. I mostly get a woody vanilla, yet it's still crisp and clean.

upon first applying - coconut! this reminds me of Hawaiian Airlines liquid soap. not unpleasant, but i was expecting more vanilla. after about 30 minutes, it was mostly patchouli, with a tinge of plumeria (maybe that's the tiare?). still no vanilla to be found. overall, i didn't hate it, but i'm not fond of patchouli.

It would appear that Esteé Lauder's Bronze Goddess has recently acquired a Black Amex card. A pleasant, night-time, beachy, nutty vanilla. Normally I don't go a bundle on super sweet scents, but this is rather nice if you can afford it. If not, the aforementioned perfume will do quite nicely instead.

I get a tropical flower (tiare?) and almond with vanilla, & a tiny bit of fig. This is a nice soft vanilla with slightly tropical floral (but not crazy coconut though! Yay! I hate heavy coconut). It dries down to a very soft sweet, but beautiful creamy vanilla base.

The more I wear it the more I like it. The ambery drydown is awsome, the longevity is great and the sillage either. A few hours later it lovely sits close to the skin.

I love the ambery drydown, it opens a bit coconutty but one or two hours later is very nice and warm.

I had it, used it up, but without much love... for a scent within gourmand genre it is quite weirdly rather unappetising - like something oily that is rancid and syntetic, or a little off nothing wildly off-putting, but nothing to fall in love with either, cheapish drawer liner or wardrobe scent comes to mind, so nothing to write back home about really for a pricey niche fragrance quite a dissapointment, an impulse purchase that should have been a sample

I got my hands on this scent when I bought Agonist sample box. I have tried all the fragrances, and are writing reviews and my opinions on their works. So what do I get out of this fragrance? It starts out like a mix between synthetic vanilla and artificial fruit juice. A very special experience. Next it gives me some soft notes of flowers, but soon turns into a medicinal scent still with this artificial vanilla undertone. It is very sweet and candylike. I get a hint of coconut in the vanilla/flower mix. Like artificial coconut flavour. The drydown stays on the artificial vanilla candylike side. It really reminds me of the scent trees that you hang in the rear view mirror. Like a nasty artificial vanilla. It is indeed a unisex fragrance. The longevity is great about 10 hours. It's hard to say something about the silage because I get different performance. Really if you asked me I would say that it was 5$ cheap scent for children. Really a mad composition to charge +150$ for. It really is nothing for me, or anybody else. Overall rating: 1/10

Eau de Beach Boardwalk - cotton candy, suntan lotion, and the faintest whiff of cigarette smoke. I swear there's even a 'cheap cologne and hair gel' note(s) in the drydown. It ended up on a suntan lotion/hair salon note. I stopped at that point. Idk if it evolves further. This is just so vividly reminiscent of that beach boardwalk scene... And I think I was the one child that ever existed who did not like beach boardwalks lol. So this scent is not for me. It's definitely very unique, sarcastically sweet (usually love that combo), and nostalgic though. I feel like this scent could be true love for the right person.

Vanilla Marble smells very linear on me, like vanilla and coconut. Now that I see fig on the pyramid, I understand why. Why oh why must people always blend fig with coconut? I've eaten plenty of both in my lifetime, and while there is a similarity about them, they are really not even close to the same thing, yet perfumers keep blending them together, or, in this case, substituting fig for coconut entirely. There is no green fruitiness to this, and I so looked forward to that. I don't get any of the notes on the pyramid. I am so disappointed. Great concept that was poorly executed.

A sweet concoction. It reminds me of creamy lip glosses, dolls, shea butter, candles and after-sun lotions. Vanilla is of the prepared pudding powder type. It subsides in a play-doh smell. I like the smell of a doll but here it is more creamy than dusty, which makes me tired soon. I think it's the orchid that I don't go crazy for. I am also convinced that it is a difficult ingredient to manage with other notes in perfumes without ending up in laundry, fabric softener, or candles and household sprays. I'm a man and honestly don't give it to my girlfriend. Step.

Interesting that others are getting loads of coconut from this. To me I get vanilla and woods, a bit like scented furniture polish or the smell you get from old libraries - shelves, paper and glue. I had really high hopes for this as the notes tick all of my boxes, but it just didn't come together as expected. Really low sillage and poor longevity as well. Shame.

At first, the vanilla/almond combo is great. It reminds me of French Vanilla ice cream. But then it gets progressively more waxy and plastic smelling. In the drydown it smells like a scented plastic doll that's been singed on the stove after being carelessly treated by its spoiled little owner. And at that price? No thanks.

My mother works at a hospital and showed me a special cleaning product that they use to remove the smell of corpses. This smells exactly like that. Another thing that comes to mind is being stuck inside a car with 500 vanilla wunderbaums on a hot summer day. You’re also a little bit car sick and none of the windows can be opened.

I received a sample of this in a swap and just tested it out today. My first response was to close my eyes and breathe deeply - Vanilla Marble was thick and sweet vanilla, combined with something tropical reminiscent of coconut. It smelled almost gourmand to me at first. It was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, after the first five minutes or so the euphoria caused by the enchanting vanilla scent passed, and I was left with a ghost of the perfume, whisps of tropical heaven. I felt like I had glimpsed vanilla paradise and been compelled to leave all too quickly. (Excuse my melodrama :)) It's not so much that the fragrance has faded that quickly, it's still there, it's just not the same. If I could hold on to that thick, sweet fragrance longer than just a few moments I would own this perfume in a heartbeat. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted :)

I just sampled this on my hand and it's gone within minutes. At this price that seems crazy to me. I don't think I'm anosmic I keep adding more and it still fades so quickly. Anyways no big deal because I don't really like the way this smells. It's mostly Tiare and almond to me, fig and patchouli come right after and then the dry down to again almond sandalwood and tonka but this happens fast the sweetness from first application is gone far too soon, for me. I like something where the sweetness persists so this is not for me. Also i can understand the coconut, beachwalk ish vibes people are saying it doesn't totally go that way for me but just keep that in mind you might end up really picking that up.

This review will echo the last few reviews, as my experience is similar! This is a 'like' (barely), not a 'love'. Vanilla Marble opens up with a rather synthetic vanilla/almond combo, and slowly fades into a creamy, watered down coconut-laced sunscreen scent. It's a hint tropical, but more along the lines of chapstick. It dries down to a sweet plastic play-dough note that is reminiscent of childhood, and is mildly cloying/headache inducing. I'm going to go ahead and say that this doesn't smell like a 200$ niche fragrance, with my skin chemistry. Perhaps on others it will take a more pleasant turn! If you want a holy-grail, high-end vanilla, save another 5 dollars & grab Tihota by Indult, instead!

As I sprayed this on my arm, I kept wondering what this reminds me of. Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen. This is a fun, playful, unsophisticated fragrance just made with high quality ingredients. Not overbearing or weird at all. At times I do get tropical tree car freshener as another reviewer said. And the silage is terrible. But I don't care, It's still on my want list.

How I have wanted a vanilla that doesn't give me headaches and won't make me smell like sugarcake. I don't mind the coconut at all actually. It makes this scent quite interesting to me being an absolute coconut hater. Here, it works. I absolutely love this scent. It is the most comforting of all in my collection and I use it both day and night.

This reminds me of vanilla bean ice cream swirled with roasted almonds. Im actually wearing the sample right now. Upon 1st application, picture yourself in the Cold Stone Creamery factory. After the 2hr mark, the vanilla is toned down and sitting close to my skin. So far it's decent but I want my vanilla to scream early and often.

Where is the milky coconut, & vanillas sugar coats! I never thought that this one is that coconutty, and milky vanilla! it smells quite impressive for coconut, vanilla, sugar cane, and slight almonds. Let's just hope it won't turn thick creamy like all their other creations that begins superb and ends bad.

I don't know why I expected this to be more gourmand than it is, but the tiare sort of overtakes the other notes on me and makes a fairly simple vanilla almond into a very perfume-y almost soapy experience, but not one I really enjoyed. The notes just didn't seem to blend with my chemistry or each other.

there’s something almost lactonic in here that doesn’t quite agree with me. and i think this is the one that is finally convincing me - as much as i don’t want to admit it - that i just do not care for almond-prominent fragrances. i doubt i’ll even finish my decant. on to the next.

I get all powder on this one. I don't blame the perfume; I'm just overly sensitive to powdery smells. If you, like me, have trouble seeing past a baby powder association, you might want to skip this one. I still have my sample if anyone wants it.

I thought I was going nuts when I was sampling this and all I could smell was coconut, but I'm glad to see others smelling the same thing! And I appreciate all of the comments explaining what combination is making up the scent. Thanks, guys!

This is more transparent version of Profumum Roma - Battito D`ali. Really lovely vanilla fragrance with some fruity & almond undertones. Gentle, not cloying and lovely.

The sweet coconut vibes you are smelling is made by the combination of Tiare Flower,vanilla and almond notes.

For the price, this was a bit disappointing. Thin watery coconut with vanilla frosting. Very ordinary.
