Aqua Oud

This is hands down the king of Profumo clones. Nothing comes close to the level of quality, performance and price of this frag and it is even on par with the original in terms of quality. If you know that you like the ADG dna then this is a no brainer, it is completely blind buy safe and again, no other clone (except for perhaps Raees by Arabiyat Prestige but good luck finding a bottle of that) is worth buying when Aqua Oud is in the picture as none of them come close to the value on offer here. The bottle and packaging are great. The atomiser, as always with Ahmed Al Maghribi, is fantastic. It has a surprisingly good level of performance for a freshie and it is relatively cheap of course. The only slight negatives with this frag is that one; it's a 90 ml bottle and I always view clone frags that release below 100mls as a bit of a cop out and two; from what i've seen in various online communities it seems to be not as widely available as Ahmed Al Maghribi's other offerings so you may have some difficulty finding it depending on where you live. This clone is fairly on par in terms of scent accuracy though to my nose the bergamot note in the opening is more vibrant and prominent, aside from that it's practically 1:1.

Finally, Fragrantica lists Aqua Oud! I'll start by saying this stuff is quality. Definitely gets close to Profumo but the Patchouli/Incense is dialled up a little and the Aquatic note is dialled down a touch. Don't expect 1:1 DNA like Lattafa's Suqraat. It's close though. That being said, Aqua Oud destroys Suqraat in terms of Longevity and composition. Smooth as silk and a beautiful dark incensey vibe that the OG was renowned for. The hints of this being an Incensed Aquatic scent are there, just not as much as Profumo. I'm getting around 7 to 8 hours performance with a subtle sillage trail for around 2 hours. So it is strong, but subtle and not in an attention grabbing way. Not much love for this by way of YT influencers, certainly not like the overhyped Kaaf by AAM. If you love the now discontinued Profumo, and want something that respects it's core allure, has quality and lasts a decent amount of time, get onto this ;) 8/10

“Aqua Oud" isn’t just fresh... It’s controlled depth. It opens like a breeze from the oceanic, clean, airy, almost weightless. But that freshness doesn’t stay shallow. As it settles, something darker starts to emerge. Herbs turn slightly sharp, and then slowly, a smoky warmth rises underneath. This is where it becomes interesting. Not loud, not sweet—just a smooth blend of wood, incense, and musk sitting beneath a fresh surface. It's long-lasting. If you bought a new bottle, macerate it for two weeks before using it, lay the bottle horizontally in its box or cupboard or somewhere with no exposure to light, then see the magic. NOTE: This perfume doesn't contain oud in it, even the official website didn't list oud in its note chart. Not sure why they put "OUD" in the name. If you are stepping back from buying it because you think this has oud, then there's nothing to worry about it.

Nose Note #685 I don't know how they did it, but this blows ADG Profumo out of the water... It's not a 100% clone, but damn is it stronger than the OG. This is LONG LASTING, the definition of the word. The first seconds it's definitely a little too far from the DNA, but after some minutes it becomes more and more apparent that you are onto the Profumo clone. And man, this is perfection... Ahmed al Maghribi has become my most sought after brand. So far everything I've bought from them has blown my mind. Not just impressed me, but really blown me away. The price/quality ratio is unbelievable. The scent: an enigmatic aquatic accord, a ine of a kind aromatic accord, very slight sweetness. It's very fresh yet it creates an image of something dark. 9.5/10, just wow

Just smells dirty tbh. Got a decant, I get aquatic aromas but it feels poorly blended and "muddy". Longevity projection solid 8/10 but I don't like this. Profumo was so smooth, this has a weird amber that gives me a coca cola note, not something I want in a freshie, even if it's a dark freshie Edit: 2 weeks later - has smoothened out. 80% close to Profumo - you will not mistake it, it DOES smell like profumo but it's even darker and yet also sweeter with amber and that weird coca cola note. Longevity 8-12 hours every wearing and projection is strong L&P = 9/10 esp for a summer frag If this was a song or an album it'd be The Weeknd, The Hills

Starts off as an incense bomb, leaning more towards profumo in the opening but that soon starts to mellow down 10-15 minutes down the line and starts leaning more and more towards profondo as that incense calms until it's almost 1-1 with profondo, at least to my nose. And i have the original adg profondo edp to compare. Soo happy to have this as it just means my profondo will be used less and i can just go heavy with this without a worry. Gym, casual outing or any occasion, this is super versatile as are most ADG frags.

This a beautiful fragrance! The opening is a bit too floral and kinda feminine but just give it a few seconds and the darkness rises! I have ADG parfum but I've never smelled the profumo version. It's definitely close to the parfum version but with added darkness to it (which I believe that's how the profumo smells like). I still prefer the parfum version in this line up and this is my second favourite.

ADG was the first cologne that I loved when I was young. Since getting back in the hobby, I have tried all of the offerings and was disappointed with the performance so I didn't purchase any. Along came this gem! While not 1:1, it represents the ADG DNA quite brilliantly. I get 12 hours performance out of 4 sprays as well. AAM has earned my respect with this one and Ighraa.

Absolutely stunning fragrance, yes it's very close to Acqua di gio profumo but with a creaminess in the dry down, this is kind of dark amber smoky, but also bright and aquatic at the same time , this an absolute banger for summer days good longevity too 6 hours on skin 8+ on clothes.. I will need to explore more fragrances from Ahmed Al Maghribi as this is cracking 🔥

Smells very masculine marine aquatic scent I haven’t smelled Profumo but to me it smells similar to adg parfum which I have smelled I would say 8.5/10 Update this stuff is amazing it smells extremely classy and I love it 9/10

Ahmed Al Maghribi really knows how to deliver excelent quality. The scent itselve is perfectly bespoken by Cosmicscent. Props for that.

Got poor performance from my bottle

Yes! Just got it in... I found bottles for 15 euro, so i decided to buy 2 bottles because usually its higher priced, and its also not that easy to find here yet. And they are already sold out again on the site i got them. I was a bit scared to buy them, since there is not to much info and hype around it. Also my first from the house. And i saw Shein was selling them to... So, i was thinking i might get fakes. But, my Profumo is almost empty, and i really want to replace that scent, cause i really love it. I already have Jorge Di Profumo from Maison Alhambra, i like that one, its more citrus in the opening, but i'm not that happy with its performance so far. Like i said, i just got them but, i'm pleased with the smell so far! This has the ADG vibe, but its different for sure. This is in some ways closer to the Profumo. This is less classy, and denser then Profumo. Profumo had that airy marine quality much more then this one. This one has much less of that... The anis and rosemary here are much more prominent. I would also say, this one is more herbal green, while the green in Profumo is fresh, light and airy. And the citrus is less fresh. It seems somewhat sweeter to my nose. Someone said they got cola vibe, and since i got that to a few times. Probably the anis in here... The drydown gets closer to the ADG dna!! Giving it some time to "mature" might make the blend, and so the opening, better. If you like the Profumo dna, then yes, you should probably try it! My bottle was kind of dirty tho... That was pretty strange and alarming, cause i have more than 100 fragrances, and i did not have this before. But, its a twist on the ADG with a drydown i like, so i'm happy. Lately i just try to buy the Lattafa Pride line, but i will try to buy some more from Ahmed Al Maghribi. They got potential! Sorry for the longer review, but since there is not that much info out there i wanted to explain a bit more about it.

I bought it after smelling in store not knowing it was a dupe of ADG Profumo. My review is from the lens of the fragrance on its own. After finishing Armaf Odyssey Mega Man, which was a pitiful performer for my gym scent, I wanted a replacement with power, a pleasant shower gel or fresh aromatic scent, that can also linger for a good amount of time. Putting it short, this does all of those. To my nose it’s prominent in the aquatic and mint notes with a dark undertone. But the power of this is no joke. It definitely lasts and its prominent. I’m very excited to daily this to the gym, though I fear I might accidentally overspray. That being said, it’s synthetic and wouldn't be described as extremely well blended. I paid under £30 for this and for that tag I don’t expect an artistic piece. For the purpose and intention, this far succeeds my expectations. As for office wear, definitely could do the job although if you’re into fragrances I definitely recommend using something abit more high quality (and subsequently pricier). Any popular designer fragrance trumps this and most dupes in that regard 😥.

ADG and its flankers are my fav perfumes of all time, so I was really excited to get this in. This is a really incense heavy fresh fragrance, that you can make do as a daily. It has the incense you find in fragrances like Decision from Amouage but toned down, with the aromatic freshness from ADG. Beautiful bottle and atomiser, but it is not as aquatic you would expect or the name would suggest. The quality of the juice is on point as per usual.

Smells like cardboard. Disgusting. First time I instantly hated an ahmed al maghribi perfume. Edit: I get a different smell now and I'm starting to like it. 🫩 How did the scent change so much in 1 week? I'm glad I brought a decant first though. Edit 2: I even got a compliment on this. I live in india and people here don't compliment on anything but I got a compliment on this 😅.

Smells probably 95% similar to AdG. I recall getting rid of my AdG because it was nearly migraine inducing if you sprayed too much. This is the exact same way. Pleasant smell but powerful. Unfortunately the bottle design is absolute TRASH though because it leaks out of the top and the atomizer. Going to have to decant this to a better bottle....

I like this, nice and fresh aquatic green fragrance, with a little bit of incense in the background that makes it suitable for cooler weather too, but also gives it a somewhat oriental smell. Has a bit of a soda vibe as others have mentioned. I get fairly weak projection but decent longevity. 7.5/10

You can consider this one if you are looking to buy a clone of Armani ADG Profumo. I have Ard Al Zaafran Jazzab Silver as well, but don't know why both of these are not long lasting and project not that great, wondering if it is with the Profumo DNA?

I grabbed two bottles of this after certain YouTube reviewers hyping the heck out of this & saying stuff like “This will fill a room” & “Lasts 12hrs or more” reviews here are equally bullshitting with one below even stating it lasts more than 24hrs, really... 🙄🤣 (The review below has now edited their comments changing their claim of ‘Easily lasts over 24hrs’ to now saying ‘Lasts all day’ which just proves my point of how people are just full of BS) incidentally he has edited his review yet again & now seems to be confused between night & day, as apparently ‘all day’ means 24hrs in his head 🤔 Aqua Oud is way off being a 1:1 dupe of Profumo, to me it’s barely 55-60% similar, granted It smells fairly decent but there’s a weird note in there that throws it off in a different direction, it’s too citric, not sure if this is from the bergamot or something else, also it doesn’t have anywhere near the depth of incense or aquatic notes & is just not that close to ADG Profumo like many are suggesting... Profumo is much deeper & darker, have they actually smelled Profumo 🤔 Compared to this, Lattafa’s Suqraat is way closer to Profumo & better smelling, also MAISON ALHAMBRA’s Jorge Di Profumo smells closer to Profumo but sadly longevity sucks, but note wise these two are way better in similarity than this Aqua Oud.

This one leans heavily into a salty sea-and-incense vibe. I don't know who voted it reminds them of Acqua di Gio (the original), it's fresh, floral, and citrusy while Maghribi's Aqua Oud is warm and woody in comparision. Honestly, it’s a dead ringer for Le Sel D’Issey EDP, which is a great cheaper alternative. The opening is pretty much dominated by the incense and salt for the first 2 hours. I really don't get why people label this a 'summer' or 'gym' scent. To me, that incense is way too heavy for heat or closed quarters. It’s a bit of a trickster because it becomes becomes cleaner as it dries down, but it still feels much more suited for the other three seasons. It also has a very specific 'mature' vibe. It reminds me of the offices I remember from the 90s and 2000s, serious and mature. If you're looking for a casual gym frag, this isn't it. It's more suitable for formal occasions.

Got a bottle today and all I can smell is Mr burberry indigo. Its not a bad fragrance at all very fresh like freshly sliced cucumber excellent for summer but I wanted this to smell like aqua di gio profumo soooo bad. I've been smelling them side by side with my 2020 bottle of profumo and there are some slight similarities but it isn't a 1 to 1 its more green than aquatic. Ill let it sit for a month and pray it wows me later. The atomiser is stupidly amazing by the way Edit: about 4 hours later something magical happened. I smell profumo that distinct incense is there still not as aquatic but this is so much closer now.

Been owning this for the past month. It does smell somewhat similar to Profumo, but dirtier, a little funkier, and also kinda low quality. Performance on the other hand is severely lacking on me (and the weather is not too hot here). Remember, clones are not bad, but not every clone is good either. Not impressed at all and I’m going to finish this up as a gym scent.

The perfume is very aromatic, but one overpowering note dominates it, if that note were reduced, the fragrance would smell much better.

It does smell like AQUA DI GIO with some smoky vibe to it but the longevity and sillage is a great disappointment. SOLD IT!

If you're looking for something that smells like ADG Profumo, then please don't buy this. Get a sample first, because you're quickly going to realize that this isn't what you're looking for. Basically : yes, this fragrance does share some similarities with ADG Profumo. The citrus-floral notes are a bit Profumo-like. But those similarities are outweighed by the differences : this has a very different base which is a little weird to my nose... It actually smells a teeny bit like soda When I smell ADG Profumo (now parfum), the impression it gives me is a very elegant, mature yet sensitive fragrance. It's somehow both understated and colorful at the same time. It's very classy. It's like a gentleman wearing a well tailored black suit, that's actually multi-colored... just on the inside where you don't see it. This doesn't give that same impression at all. It doesn't smell elegant or classy. It smells weird to my nose. I don't like this at all.

Not sure what others are smoking here but this one definitely isn't smoking! For me, it's a cheap citrus smell (think room fresheners) with a similar dry down to profumo but completely missing on the precise notes. It smells distinctly middle eastern incense - not to fault that. However, the performance is subpar on hot, humid climate. I get barely any projection after 30-40 mins. More importantly, all put together, it doesn't inspire the awesome confidence that the OG profumo does - a fresh, smokey, sophisticated man. This one smells cheap and makes you feel as such. P.S. If you do have this, for heaven's sake, don't spray much on white clothes as it will sully them.

Honestly Ahmed is one of the best brands in ME and i have a hige collection from their lowest to their highest tier! This is not the one to get. Plz dont compare to something as beautiful as ADG or ADG Profumo. This had a dirty floral note which ruins the whole composition and scent quality as well is pretty low, so avoid buying this and get their other better blended scents! Awfa, Oulil Amr, Zumar, Lathani, Dulooq, K series 2025, etc. Spend ur money well plz!

The opening has nothing in common with Profumo, smells a bit weird. Like those Omega 3 fish oil capsules. After an hour or so, starts resembling Profumo, but it's not really *it*, at least to my nose. I'd honestly rate it a 3/5 for what it is, but only a 2/5 if I were to expect an "inspired by ADG Profumo". Bottle had a flaw, it was leaking so I sent it back. Given the above statement, I'll have my money back instead of having it replaced.

I don't like this scent profile due to how salty it comes across on my skin, I'm glad I just bought a sample as I wouldn't touch the full bottle much.

The longevity is excellent for a fresh fragrance .it easily lasts a whole day. (Don’t care about that kid above. If I’d been paid his mom every night, maybe she could’ve sent him to school so he’d know that a whole day is 24 hours , and maybe he’d have learned some basic manners along the way :)))) The projection is normal to good, just enough to get compliments without being overwhelming. It doesn’t smell extremely natural, luxurious, or expensive. It's not even extrait de parfum , which slightly reduces the clarity and “airiness” of the scent. So I'm not gonna say it has a crazy juice quality The atomizer is very good as well. Some people asked me if I was wearing Dior Sauvage, so honestly, it’s not very unique and smells quite familiar at first sniff. Overall, it’s definitely worth the price. What I mostly get is bergamot with a very fresh, aquatic note, without any touch of oud, which I personally find very pleasant. I suggested more for +30 years old guys but still it fits everyone. 7.5/10

Not a safe blind buy, but hands down the best scent profile in my collection of 70+ bottles. The high oil concentration means that this doesn't project very much, but it'll last forever on your clothes. However, if you wear this on your neck and other pulse points and your body heats up due to exercise/exertion then this goes nuclear and fills up an entire room. Easy 9.5 out of 10 for me, and this is head-to-head with Afnan Supremacy Collector's Edition as my favourite middle eastern fragrance of all time.

Needed about a month of maceration before it started to smooth out and perform, but yeah this is a monster for a freshy. a single spray lasted almost 24-hours on my skin. I really wanted to like this one though, but it dries down to a very smoky-incense smell that i just cant enjoy, personally. Theres also a polarizing "coca-cola" like smell in here, which is nice but also im conflicted sometimes. overall maybe a 7/10. not bad, not amazing either imo.

It’s such a beautiful fragrance even in its own right. Haven’t tried the OG so can’t compare the two. People should not gatekeep this.10/10

I just got it today, very fresh ozonic and oceanic waves in its notes, remind me a little bit of bluejeans and of Aqua d Gio profumo
