Bin Shaikh

I ordered a decanted sample of this as I was not sure what it was going to smell like . I got the sample today and I can say I in love with this . First of all Ahmed Al Maghribi put a lot of oil in their fragrances, its above 30% for sure . Spraying this on skin leaves a good shine on the skin and it stays until it is wiped off by something which shows it is a highly concentrated juice . Starting with the opening this is damn stong . You will get an immediate hit of saffron rose combo with a lot of burnt sugar in the bg . This doesn't smell appealing when smelling up close but in the air it is that rich classy smell . I don't get much citrus in the opening rather it shines in the drydown with vetiver . Mid is all about smoke , oud , bakhoor and a little bit of florals which balances it . In my opinion base is the best part of this fragrance where the oud becomes a lot more bright and gets that oudy sweetness . You definitely need to give multiple wearings to appreciate the fragrance. All together a rich smelling oud saffron smokey sweet fragrance. Not recommended for weak noses .

Do not be mistaken, this is definitely a men's winter perfume. The opening is a very strong mix of smoke, leather and the scent of dried pieces of citruses. While drying down, the citruses disappear, the smoky, leathery scent becomes addictive and it is then, when the bakhoor/ olibanum tones begin to rise (3-4 h after application). The drying out proceeds with a sweet ambery/ powdery scent accompanied by a sophisticated and discreet smoky/ oud tone. One of the most complex, interesting, addictive drying downs I 've ever experienced. I totally disagree with the comments describing the bakhoor tone as synthetic. Being an orthodox christian, I am very used to the scents of incense, trust me, there is nothing synthetic in this one. It's been 2 weeks since I started wearing this and it becomes even more addictive day by day. Warning: Wearing this in summer is strongly not recommended.

Ahmed Al Maghribi Bin Shaikh is a bold, smoky-sweet oriental oud fragrance that smells luxurious and unapologetically Middle Eastern, opening with saffron, rose, citrus and oakmoss before moving into a sugary bakhoor-incense heart and drying down to thick oud, amber, patchouli and musk; it has a rich, slightly resinous and sometimes slightly animalic edge that makes it feel “sheikh-level” and formal rather than fresh or casual, with strong projection and beast-mode longevity (often 8+ hours, sometimes much more), making it ideal for winter evenings, weddings, prayer gatherings or AC settings, but potentially overwhelming in peak summer heat; it’s not the safest blind buy because the smoky-sweet oud profile can feel heavy to beginners, yet for lovers of powerful, room-filling statement scents, it offers excellent value and a very regal presence.

This is good. Great longevity and projection. The bottle design is awesome and the color of the juice is rich. The scent itself speaks of quality. Honestly at first i hated it. It had a piss-like smell. But it faded away in 10 minutes and the scent became really beautiful, warm, gentle and sadly, to my nose, a little feminine. I can definitely see a woman wearing this (maybe above the age of 30 though). Sadly to me, as a man, i can’t get used to it on my skin. The scent itself is very well blended and joyful. Smells more expensive than it is (as a lot of other reviewers have written). I can see this being a signature fragrance for a lot of people, because it has phenomenal quality for a low price. Would not recommend blind buying it.

At this price point and maybe even at twice the price, this is one of the nicest Ouds I have ever come across, it's got an addictive barnyard-ish sweet scent, that is gorgeous, and I'd say a good introduction to the stronger Ouds. I also have Dam Watani, and that is very barnyardy to the point I layer it with sweeter Oud combos, this one however is perfect, even in my books nicer than Swiss Arabian's Oud Elixir from their higher end Sawealef range, and at twice the price of this bottle, that's saying something, although Oud Elixir is a bit more refined, this one is sweeter and easier to wear, I think this one just hits the sweet spot, and is going to be a staple in my collection for years to come.

Out of the over 120 perfumes I own this one is firmly entrenched in the top 10. A very rich, opulent oud base that I wear like an armour of confidence. This scent demands attention and one needs to carry a certain gravitas to oull it off. Think, Alpha Male. Think, a Sheikh disembarking a chauffeur driven RR Phantom. The longevity is phenomenal and it lasts forever on clothes. 1-2 spritz are plenty. Works in hotter climates too if you spend much of the day in AC environments. A rare solid 10/10 from me.

I don’t know about others but this perfume is a BEAST. Longetivity is a 10/10 and sillage is 10/10. It will make a statment wherever you go and it doesn't go off clothes. Think rich, exquisite, pure oud and bakhoor vibes. I could say unisex but it dries down very quickly into a deep scent, no sweetness whatsoever. I've tried pairing this with other sweet fragrances but this scent overpowers. Still love it overall.

I bought this and a few others on a recent trip to Saudi, it was on my list of fragrances i wanted to buy and luckily it was on sale so got a good deal. I mentioned to the young lady sitting oppoiste me at work I bought some new fragrances and she said she'e been getting wafts of it all day and it smells amazing and would give it a 10/10, this was like 4.30pm. I love the smell and I would absolutley buy it again.

First impression when i sprayed, its definitely oud for greatness vibe with authentic rich oud,later it develops further.55% oil concentration is wild,performance will see.The oud in this is amazing quality and not animalic,just dont smell close to skin bc its very concentrated,in the air smells very rich authentic oud.For the price its wow.It does smells better than OFG.

This perfume is everything that intio/creed/MFK want their oud flagships to be. Eternal longevity with sillage and projection . Quality is top notch despite being so cheap . Smells like sugar , oud , rose and smoky bakhoor. Opening is a bit heavy and it takes a lot of time to develop , but once it does , It blows away every rose oud fragrance out there. Masterpiece.

Absolute banger of a fragrance. Smells heavenly in the air. Opening has a slight fecal note to it assuming it’s from the Oud, but the dry down is to die for. You get hit with that smokiness from the bakhoor and the Oud is really potent. Longevity is 24hr+ easily and the projection I am yet to try. Price point is extremely great value. Worth every penny.

Royalty in a bottle! Honestly niche stuff for a great price. I paid around £40 for the bottle. Initial spicy and slightly animatic opening (which I love) then after 10 mins the dry down is beautiful. Patchouli and oud dry down! Amazing scent, will recommend especially if you want to smell like an Arab prince.

BOY OH BOY! This is a beast in a bottle... monster projection and def a room filler... works great even in summers (controlled AC environment)... smells very masculine, sweet, oud, and caramel... max 3 to 4 sprays, and BOOM! Dont spray near your neck or it'll choke you ;) overall 9/10.

Just purchased Bin Shaikh a couple of days ago and let me tell you this Oud based fragrance is fire 🔥 figuratively speaking and literally, hot and sexy kind of oudy ambery smell that will keep you smelling warm and sexy especially in the winter time, in my humble opinion anyway.

Unfortunately in India it's difficult to get hands on perfumes from the house of Ahmed Al maghribi. I was lucky enough to get this from Ahmedindia.com. It's great performer, saffron and burnt sugar, oud is average some spices too. You should have Arabian taste to enjoy it

This is a very long-lasting parfum which has top notes of saffron and burnt sugar while it evolves to be woody and oudhy in the end. But the blend itself is too raw to my liking. Probably not so refined. Not a bad parfum though. I like it.

It has a v low br 540 dna i couldn't get that much as i am allergic to 540 dna ... More oud amber and woody ... V v appealing sexy masculine and middle eastern.. comes with excellent bottle and design ... In shot a must have

i can confidently say that this has cambodian oud.I have a sample of a 300€ fragrance which has and they have the same quality of oud.Or if its synthetic they nailed it perfectly.For the price this is incredible value

A really beautiful scent. Personally i really loved the scent. The projection and longevity is amazing. 10/10. I could wear this all year just because i like the smell but it would work best at colder days and nights

Top tier for the price, real oud tamed by sweet rose and slightly fresh citrus. Dry down is musky amber. Amazing performance and great sillage. Careful on white clothes as it has a lot of perfume oil.

Richest perfume I've ever smell.

Okay, an update on my previous review. Its been almost 4 months since I got this fragrance, and while at first I really couldn't stand the scent as it was a chemical mess with a urine like smell, I am pleased to say that it has developed into a very smooth, warm, sweet oudy scent that is very rich and dense. It's actually quite pleasant when you get a whiff of it in the air however, up close on skin I'm still not a fan. It does have a slight barnyardy aspect to it but again when you smell it in the air, it just works. People compare this to OFG and BR540 but personally I cant see the similarities. I don't think this is blind buy safe which is a mistake I made(don't be like me), get a tester first. Currently I have 4 AAM fragrances which are Bin Sheikh, Ignite Oud, Blue Oud and Kaaf, with Saif on the way. I would say if you wanted to start somewhere rather go for Kaaf and Blue Oud(Blue oud being my favorite). Cheers✌

this stuff is strongggggggg, and i mean it when i say that. its got that barnyard-y oud which the casual people might be turned off by. i sprayed this on my hand and told 2 of my friends to smell it and they immediately went ''this smells like literal shit'' lol, but i actually really like it. This is the real middle eastern shit right here. This contains 45% vol. meaning 45% alcohol and 55% perfume oil and its apparent as when you spray it on your skin, there's a very thick oil residue which stays on my skin for 10-20 mins and then it completely dissolves. longevity is easy 8-10 hrs and on clothes a few days, i need more testing to give an honest opinion about how far it projects. I only wear this if I'm going outside for hangouts with friends and even then i don't spray too much as the smell may offend people. Also don't spray this on white clothes, it'll be stained. This is not a safe blind buy at all.

I must be crazy, but I get almost no similarity to OFG or BR540? To me it is dense oud + saffron, with subdued rose and is unmistakably Middle Eastern. The oud is more oil than barnyard IMO. Surprised with the consensus of reviews saying it is OFG on steroids (which I was kinda hoping for), but pleased nonetheless. High quality and great performance. I’ve been pleased with my experience with this brand thus far and think they’re uptick in usual price for ME scents is earned (my favorite so far is Blu Oud).

Tried several from this house and quality wise they are super great for the price. Scent profile is a hit or miss mostly. Summer and Ignite Oud are very nice. This one is on the like side but nothing ground breaking in terms of smell. They have one which is not listed here called Laathani. That one is one of the best things I ever smelled. Out of this world good.

Blind bought this in hopes that it would be good, but smells like attar that old men wear. Maybe it's because I have a new batch and must let it sit for a while, I really hope this improves over time, also the girlfriend said it smells a bit like animal urine, so definitely has an animalic aspect to it :( . Will update in a month.

For its price it's a steal. Starts slightly metallic floral and patchouli bomb -- chocolate cake kind. It reminds me Nasomatto Pardon a lot. Over time, it settles to spicy ambery woody musky with some resemblance to skin accord in some ATH perfumes which is slightly animalic without getting barnyardy.

Initially it has a strong oud smell. but after a while it becomes a sweet smell. Generally projection is only available indoors. There is no performance like the hype.

Smells some spicy at Initial stage. After Dry down smells spicy Sweet. It's Arab Royal Fragrance.

I tried this. I can’t seem to see what’s special. When it comes to middle eastern houses. Amouage Epic and Interlude. ASQ Qurashi Blend and Blue Qurashi Blend are top notch. Arabian Oud Blue Oud and Jabal Noor. Hind Al Oud Sheikh A and Ahojas. Taif Al Emarat UAE Oud (Black). Even Ghalati with Varna. There’s such a long list of stuff better than this. Is the appeal only that it’s a loud projecting and inexpensive scent? Also repeatedly I hear the word royal or regal. If this was FM the night or BTV Nebulous maybe. If your making a comment about an oud perfume being royal and regal u need to get some high quality oud oils and chips to try first followed by some high quality roses from Taif, Bulgaria or Turkey. I don’t see any materials here that would evoke thoughts of royalty. Heck Layton Exclusif feels more royal than this. 🤣😅 If I was going to choose five perfumes that at least hint at royalty (ignoring Oils and Oud Chips): 1- The Night 2- Nebulous 3- Falkar 4- Le Lion 5- Portrait of a Lady (Leans Femme in this context) Honorable mention Meydan by Spirit of Dubai To cut it short to have a perfume that feels regal you need both an elegant formula and quality ingredients. Here I find both lacking to be honest. For an affordable alternative u could try UAE Oud Black $90 during sales Hind Al Oud Sheikh A $160 during sales Panadora Grand Musk around $110 at discounters If on a super tight budget then Varna by Ghalati.

Bin Shaikh is armed with all the sugar products that the Middle East can deliver to the rest of the world. I tried this last night, applying one spray behind each ear. In a few seconds, sucrose odorants flew into every cavity of my sinuses and entered my brain, creating havoc on all the innocent neurons and blood vessels. I will go to my dentist tomorrow to see if these odorants also made their way into my dental roots and created tooth cavities because, sugar. The headache that ensued was splitting. In an attempt to mask it, I rubbed Vicks on the two spray points (the now-molested ears). A tragic mistake, as the eucalyptus oils magnified the beastly notes 1080 times. Bin Shaikh is way too sweet for my taste. The sucrose notes overwhelm the oud even at dry down. It is the defining accord of this entire glass of sweet saffron, rose water, orange juices, and condensed ambroxan cream. This isn't an amber scent. It's a proud member of a yet-unannounced fragrance family: the sugar group. The perfume will be great for the winter months--a Christmas scent. For all the troubles searing the Gulf this year, it will be a pacifying thing to say "Merry Christmas from Bin Shaikh of the house of Ahmed Al Maghribi."

Blind bought it based on the hype and the reviews online. I don’t think it’s blind buy safe. This is a very anamalic oud which could be hard to carry especially in North America. Strong projector and very similar to Oud for Greatness. I don’t get any BR540 from this. It was hard to find it on a good deal here in the US. Luckily I ran into a seller (jerseyperfume.com) on Amazon and gave them a call directly and got an amazing deal. They shipped in a day and have great deals on authentic fragrances of all kinds. This seller is a genuine recommendation if you’re looking to buy this. Check them out.

Purchased as a blind buy but not sure if I’ll keep as the opening is quite fecal, I don’t think I can stomach waiting for it to get past that stage. I can see the similarities to ofg but this is definitely more challenging, Middle Eastern and masculine. It’s definitely much better in the air than smelling close up. What I will say, is the performance is crazy, I sprayed the back of my hand at 4pm but was still woken up early hrs of the morning by how strong it was and that was after washing my hands several times.

Sweetness takes the stage in this one and that to me changes the scent profile considerably from the core of Oud for Greatness. On its own its not a bad scent with great longevity and peformance but to my Personal taste i prefer OFG's smooth, Warmth & Spicy richness. Should have tried a sample before buying but never mind. This bottle is gonna last forever as i am only gonna use it once in blue moon. Nothing special. Overall rating 6/10

I love the opening , however I have a problem with the dry down . The oud notes are good but there's some note that I'm unable to figure out which ruins the scent , it's almost like vomit and that destroys the frag for me . imo they've overdone the frag , if they got rid of the animalic elements i believe it would've performed much better
