Black Fume

From the very first spray, Black Fume became a masterpiece to me. I basically buy all my fragrances as blind buys — naturally after extensive research on Fragrantica and Parfumo. Black Fume had exactly 0 ratings/reviews on Parfumo (and at the time of writing, it cannot even be found on Fragrantica). That made the blind buy even more exciting. Scent Profile: The first spray from the pressurized atomizer was pure ecstasy. An extremely powerful fruity raspberry with enormous sillage combined with dark, charred wood. A masterpiece and, for me, close to perfection. Why? A famous automotive designer (designer for Maserati and designer of the first Maserati GranTurismo) once said that true beauty possesses both masculine and feminine characteristics and qualities. Only the perfect balance between masculinity and femininity creates true beauty. And that is exactly what this fragrance symbolizes for me: Black Fume combines the perfection of this strong, beautiful raspberry — representing fruitiness and sweetness — with this dark, smoky/burnt wood accord that represents masculinity and darkness. The fragrance is beautiful, also because it follows a concept very similar to Ombre Nomade, while making it significantly more pleasing and wearable. To me, the fragrance is the perfect synergy of fruity, natural raspberry and dark smoky wood. In my eyes, it is a masterpiece with true signature scent potential. Performance: Black Fume is by far the strongest fragrance in my entire collection (+55% oil concentration). The sillage is monstrous / nuclear, and the longevity lasts many hours up to multiple days. The fragrance impressed me so much while wearing it that it almost dethroned my signature scent Black Gold. A Dark, Jammy Masterpiece Ahmed Al Maghribi Black Fume is an absolute sleeper hit. It successfully balances a heavy, resinous Middle Eastern spine with a brilliant, accessible fruit note. The opening blast is an incredible rush of dark, jammy raspberry, instantly shadowed by a distinct charred, burnt-wood accord. As it develops, a dry, charcoal-like smoke hovers around the edges, keeping the sweetness grounded. The dry down unfolds into a smooth blend of warm labdanum resin, a clean, non-animalic oud, and a modern amber sheen. It shares a similar conceptual airspace with Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, but it is sweeter, smoother, and significantly more wearable. A little Tom Ford Ombre Leather ish. The performance is genuine beast mode. Thanks to a high oil concentration, it easily sticks to clothing for days. A light touch on the atomiser is highly recommended, making this cold weather and night out scent an absolute steal for the price.

My first review, here goes. YES YES YES!!!!!! Was sent a sample of this from Private Blends and within 12 hours I had to order a full bottle. This fragrance screams dark leather jacket, worn denims & sick AF sunglasses + a cool AF hat or beanie. Beast mode performance & projection. If you have fantasies about riding a cruiser motorcycle or actually do, this is "THE ONE". I can't explain in proper words how much I love this fragrance. Definitely not for hot weather. If it didn't reach 40°C + where I'm at during the summer, and if I didn't work in a confined space, I'd order 2-5 backup bottles and daily ride this stuff for the rest of my life.

Finally black fume is on fragrantica! Been searching it for a long time. Definitely not the same as Tom Ford's Ombre leather. Strong raspberry note on the opening sprays. Smoky, oud, raspberry and definitely has some leather in it. One of my favourite's. Might be too strong for some. Great longevity and projection. Stays on your clothes for a long time. Definitely a male perfume.

Love them to pieces! Strong, powerful and heavy to wear fragrance but sweet at the same time thanks to raspberry. Got compliments on the very first day of wearing them. Longevity and village are enormous. In my opinion this frag is very similar to French Avenue Sequoia but a bit heavier and darker. Just don't spray too much as can get a headache! Powerful frag! Little gem 💎

FINALLY! This is my secret goth girlfriend in a bottle..... Unctuous raspberry compote dripping into hot embers while you smoke a cigarette..... This is my favourite and my best! This is the shit! I have two backup bottles already.

What a steal. This has become my special occasion perfume. It's loud but does not have that irritating oud note most Middle Eastern perfumes use. It's very well balanced with the other notes. Definitely a 10/10.

A very nice Laathani flanker. The same DNA, but with a different, raspberry based, top scent concept. Unlike Laathani, it's more rounded and easier to wear. Hidden Gem for 17 euros!

Great performance and nice masculine perfume

All in all a completely solid release from AAM. Even though this house is one of my favorite discoveries from the "affordable" realm, I wont allow myself to be biased towards their fragrances and not mention when something lacks in their composition. Black fume specifically has both pros and cons and I will lay out both honestly. I absolutely HATE the way this fragrance opens. The first 5-10 minutes in my opinion are a method of chemical war crime the likes of which are comparable to war. Vietnam probably smelt like this. If you've ever had the chance to stand in a close proximity of a motor vehicle that has been lit on fire (or at least its tires), you might be able to understand what I mean. Now onto the good news. There is a juicy raspberry note that makes the scent transition into a smoky, oudy Church like smell with a fruity undertone. Raspberry is the MVP of this fragrance. Without it this would be bottled napalm. For the duration of this fragrance it stays a smoky incense-y scent with strong background woods and a faint raspberry. From here on out i actually like it. Performance is nothing to worry about with this, I get around 9 hours with nuclear projection in the first hour, though it tones down eventually. I have not given this a proper wearing yet because its summer and Im not brave enough. Unfortunately I have to take off a point for wearability, the only situation I can imagine having this on is the dead of night outdoors, deep into December with snow on my neck to weaken it. The opening is quite pleasant but the drydown after about 5 minutes is screechy to me. I did wish the oud in this was more funky and stronger, in here the oud is similar to laathani/imperial valley, both of which I am not a fan of. One of my least fav from the aam range imo. Update: This has grown on me quite a bit. I found that you need to keep the sprays low so as it can make it cloying and unpleasant. Great for the cold weather or nights out. It does smell more expensive than the £20 I purchased for.

just try this perfume, first spray the fruity berry last about 5-10 minutes and coming next there is smoky leather oud that is pretty smooth not that animalic unbearable leather oud type a thing. tbh its a super strong sweet berry oud for date night type a fragrance, nice quality and for the price point you can consider this a bang for bucks.

Good frag, bit slept on. Bit sweeter and thicker than notes suggest. Initial raspberry blast hints at a freshness but quickly settle with a bit more body, bit jammier and you'd be forgiven for thinking an unlisted amber is pulling more weight than it should. Smokiness comes in early, not an incense but a dryer, more acrid rendition of charcoal which sounds pretty horrific on paper but it just hovers on the edges to help keep the orris and ambroxan from taking over everything as they sometimes tend to do. Good solid timber accord, stays chunky without wandering off into fresh cut or sawdust, again that light smoke doing work to keep things in check. Don't go assuming the tobacco is prominent, just feels like it was an easy way to convey the charred organics without saying 'yo, we toasted this shit'. The whole smoke thing is way less prominent than I'm making it sound, it's just interesting to notice what it's doing when you concentrate. Not blind buy safe but doesn't mean you shouldn't, it's good enough to hold its own even when it turns out to be not what you think it was. Very good sillage and longevity, but extra sprays only take and not give, no need to get too heavy on the pump or it gets messy. Less is more kinda thing. Cool to fucking cold weather for us westerners, what you blokes do where it's 30C+ every day I've no idea. Would def call it masculine but there's a broader range of women that can pull this off than you'd expect, which isn't surprising as chicks dig this whoever's wearing it. Exceptional value for those it clicks with. AaM are always worth a solid look, this is a good example of why.

Batch number: 260311064 MFD: 25/03/2026 Not many reviews exist for this online, yet all are positive and focus on it being a beast mode, as reflected above on the charts. However, this has no staying power at all (at least this batch, info above). Spraying into the air is hard enough to detect, but on skin it’s a skin scent from the beginning with only about 2-3 hours longevity. I’ve also found that most of the lineup from this house are heavily “influenced” it’s hard to find actual reviews outside of fragrance that aren’t obviously brand sponsored. This and most of the other fragrances from this house all basically share the same DNA as “ignite oud”. If you’ve smelt ignite oud you will always detect its dna so in my opinion you only need to buy that and not bother with the rest.

I’m surprised nobody mentioned the resemblance to Orto Parisi Terroni, although the raspberry here is sweeter and more prominent, and it also doesn’t have that barbecue like smell. In any case, there aren’t many raspberry centered fragrances that don’t smell tutti frutti and overly feminine. This one is genuinely good for what it offers.

Raspberry oud and soft smoke with a little darkness like a little shoe polish rag with the leather brogues . Superb Value , niche scent at €20 . first use out of the box: to me it's very sweet raspberry dominant and other notes are barely noticeable, im kinda disappointed because i wanted something woody/oudy with fruits lurking in the back, the quality is good and the longevity on clothes is easily 12h+, i hope it changes with time.
