Ighra'a

“Sauvage Elixir has left the building.” One of the most masculine fragrances in my collection. I know the original Sauvage Elixir, and Ahmed Al Maghribi has recreated it almost 1:1—while removing the licorice note and amplifying the tobacco, black pepper, and coffee. Dark, spicy, masculine, and distinctive. It is the definition of a CEO fragrance—the scent of a decisive achiever, a successful founder and managing director of his own business, someone who doesn’t need to hide and wears this dark, black pepper scent with confidence. At first, it’s not necessarily a compliment magnet—until that incredibly strong, almost piercing black pepper note softens slightly and the attractive, calming lavender comes through. This is where the fragrance reveals its true character—and the CEO shows why he owns the business and what defines him as a founder. The opening, with black pepper, tobacco, and a subtle hint of coffee, conveys the CEO’s presence and authority. The following lavender and sandalwood notes showcase the CEO's capability. A true "boss scent"—intense that it can really only be worn by the founder himself or a chairman of the board. Signature-scent worthy. Performance: From experience, my Ahmed Al Maghribi fragrances (currently 7) have never really needed maturation. They delivered phenomenal performance and longevity right from the first spray—especially the sweeter, fruitier ones. Ighraa took about to to three weeks to develop its softer lavender, as it initially consisted almost entirely of pepper and tobacco. As an Extrait de Parfum with an oil concentration of around 40%, the sillage is very strong at the beginning—especially with that intense black pepper—and remains noticeable for several hours. Despite its strong notes, it is not the strongest fragrance from Ahmed Al Maghribi in my collection. And it is not a blind-buy scent. You really need to know the original Sauvage Elixir well and understand how it smells. If you enjoy bold, extremely spicy black pepper, tobacco, and subtle lavender accords, this is worth buying. However, it is not for someone who prefers sweet fragrances.

I've got ighraa last week, with other 9 or 10 fragrances from AAM. Nice and long smelling, but without projection. All of my 10 AAM, are just skin scents after 30 minutes, without anyone knowing I'm wearing a perfume. I'm lying, muzn is extremely strong. Its long lasting and projection is above average. I'm thinking those influencers are laughing how stupid we are :). All fragrance from this house are now in dark cold place, waiting for a miracle. Endless, Laathani, Summer oud, kaff, oud and roses, oud lavender, aqua oud, marj and ighraa are all weak. Some are quite strong in the opening, but they don't last. The weakest is oud lavender. I'm smelling just some citrus note, but long lasting as skin scent. Summer oud, Laathani and Marj? Beast mode? :)))) well maybe after one year in the cold daaaarkness :) I really hope that time will make them better. Today I tested Asad elixir from lattafa and to my nose, it's similar to Ighraa. Two hours ago I sprayed(five sprays each) hand with Asad elixir, other one with fakhar and now, I can smell just fakhar and that one is on the weaker side. So where is Asad elixir then? I know, that it will never be on my shelf ;). But if you like new Asad, you should try also this Ighraa. Now I've learned you should never blind buy a fragrance and never trust influencers ;).

So, i'm re posting my review as I was one of the first to post a review and have since learned that this frag is in fact an original creation; Ighraa released *before* Dior Sauvage Elixir or any of it's clones for that matter, which I find fascinating. Anyway. This is an amazing fragrance and a really great performer as well. It shares a lot of similarities to Sauvage Elixir but with quite a few prominent and wonderful twists like a rich coffee note in the base and a bit more fruit forward with the crisp top note of grapefuit and a juicy pineapple note in the mid. This has to to be one of my strongest performers. We're talking Parfums De Marly type performance. All day longevity, will stick to your clothes like nothing else and projects very well. The bottle itself is beautiful; frosted glass, pressurised atomiser nice simple design and while the cap is made of plastic, it isn't a cheap feeling plastic. If you like the Sauvage Elixir DNA then this is a no brainer. Highly recommend and Fragrantica is well overdue with cataloging this house. Hopefully they continue to add more frags as there are plenty more from this house that are well worth the money.

No, this isnt better than Sauvage Elixir. The Titan and legend that is Elixir will remain King bossman. However, Ighra'a is outstanding compared to the rest of the Elixir wheelhouse clones. I'm not talking solid, decent, good, nice. I'm saying this is the best you can get without the Dior Label. I got 12 hours right out the bottle, with noticeable projection for about 3 hours and scent trails for a good 7 hours. So the performance is up there with the Dior. The blend is very similar to the Dior but honestly on wearing this 4 or 5 times, there's days I think it's brighter, then darker, but its variation is more from my nose than the juice itself. This is very airy too, I leave my jacket(sprayed it twice leaving home) in the office for 10 mins returning to a lush scented forcefield. Dior has the final polish you would expect from a fragrance costing 4 times as much. But... it costs 4 times as much. Much like The Wire's Omar with a 50 calibre desert eagle. Even if you miss you can't miss. 9/10

Ighraa hits with heavy Sauvage Elixir energy and delivers massive performance. It keeps the Sauvage DNA but adds a woody undertone that pushes it into its own space. Two sprays easily fill a room. The scent feels stronger and more intense than many fragrances in this style. It smells clean, woody, and sharp with a profile that comes across as both designer and niche. It works as a bold signature scent and stands out far more than expected for the price. This is not a simple clone. It feels like its own creation with clear Middle Eastern influence. Kaaf gets more attention, but Ighraa deserves the same recognition. If you like Sauvage and want a woodier and more powerful version, this is an easy blind buy and excellent value. 9.5/10

Wow, this is so good 😍 I got it few days ago, sprayed it on a piece of cloth and 2 days later the cloth still smells like it, it's some sort of a coca cola with cinamon and spices in it, it's so addictive, it has an old school vibe to it that is very elegant and masculine. Performance is nuclear. It's wild to me how underrated and unknown this fragrance is. I paid 17 euros for it (extrait de parfum). It should be illegal honestly, I feel like I should send another 50 euro to the shop, it's that good. I can definitely see it becoming a top 3 fragrance in my collection.

This was a blind buy for my husband's Valentine's gift. I know what he likes and this was a home run. It turns out he was already considering buying it for himself. It smelled great from the first spray. It improved on the dry down. I am not familiar with the notes commonly used in men's fragrances, so I can't comment on that. I just know it smelled blended from the beginning and improved in the dry down. I'm sure my husband is more discerning than me though. He was impressed from the beginning but didn't give any specifics.

@smellsbells man you can’t be serious 😂 You keep popping up with something negative to say about this fragrance every time. I get it, you don’t like it, that’s fine. But coming back again and again just to say “weak longevity” and that it’s nothing like Dior Sauvage Elixir... that’s a bit weird, not gonna lie. At this point it almost feels personal. Are you getting paid by Lattafa or something or you're trying to gatekeep? Because no normal person comes back every few weeks just to trash the same perfume over and over.

I got this in October and wasn't very impressed. Fast forward to the end of January, and I just randomly decided to try again. It's great now! Even on the initial spray, it smells much better blended, spicy, and slightly fruity. Waiting to see about the dry down, but I already know longevity is going to be great bc it was already great. This brand seems to only put out punchy, long-lasting fragrances. That's not always a good thing for everyone, but if you value longevity you're gonna get it

Smells very expensive, in the same vein of Dior's Sauvage Elixir but more so like Lattafa Asad because i don't detect licorice note for which Elixir is famous. Still like it very much, pressurized atomizer + extrait de parfum for the price of 45 euro. EDIT: Amazing perfume, love it more than Sauvage Elixir. If it is true that Francois Demachy took inspiration from this perfume to make Sauvage Elixir for Dior - it speaks to me that Ighraa its better. Sorry not sorry, Dior.

I don’t own Sauvage Élixir but a fellow frag head friend of mine had an OG batch Sauvage Élixir and we compared the two. It smells very similar but has a more creamy scent profile to it. The OG batches of SE are INSANE with performance and this definitely holds up, it still was radiating about an arms length even in the morning when I sprayed it the previous night. Ahh, this is strong. Performance is very very good. It leaves a scent trail. The scent profile is good too but I personally don't appreciate this DNA much. This is for someone who wants to command the room as it's very masculine and bold. The whole street will know when you arrive 😉 Scent profile: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10 Sillage:11/10 N.B- Lattafa Asad is synthetic and weak if y'all compare Asad with Ighraa

How can this be a clone of Sauvage Elixir when it came out a year before? ;) THIS is the OG and where it's at. Beautiful creamy smooth pineapples with coffee and patchouli. I like it without the licorice of SE and the performance is good too. 3 hours later it's still as good as when you put it on and 12 hours later it's still on the skin and definitely sticks to clothes the next day.

Smells insanely close to sauvage elixir. Longevity is decent upto like 8-10 hrs and initially i thought it dissappeared within 4 hrs, but got complements even after 6-7 hrs from an arm length. Might be noseblind. Asad smells very low in quality when compared to this. Buy it, if looking for elixir. Smels like 2% sweeter than elixir.

Testosteron + HGH in a (beautiful!) bottle, but done in a very classy way. 40% oil concentration is insane, couple of sprays could fill the entire floor of a building. Another 10/10 winner by Ahmed Al Maghribi, almost as good as one of my favorite fragrances Laathani as far as I'm concerned! 28 Euros? Second bottle underway!

To my nose this smells almost identical to sauvage elixir. Insanely high quality for the price. I own asad as well, but I definitely like this one more, it smells much sharper and more defined. Sometimes though it smells kind of like curry to my nose which can be a bit off putting. Performance is really good. 8/10

Nose Note #686 I'll keep it short. The DNA is one of my most favourite. And this is a complete perfection. If you like Asad - forget Asad and just buy this. This is Asad, but with insane performance. Very sophisticated. Smells very expensive. 10/10, welcome to the hall of fame

This is better than sauvage elixir. Lasts longer and projects better. Insane performance. Its extremely similar to elixir but smells better to me. Ahmed is knocking it out of the park. Best brand in the game considering price. 10/10.

Blind buy, and a re-buy on my end. I don’t get the hate comments. This is a great quality frag of its own. Not for dudes who like to smell like mangos and flowers, only not blind buy safe if your wrists are limp. Have a nice day

I was on the fence on buying this but @semyonsemyoff review sealed the deal, so I bought two. This is better than DSE imo, after 2 months the scent blends better as well, very masculine and sophisticated. Lasts 8hrs as well.

Only thing that goes head 2 head with sauvage in quality, performance, scent profile and beats it finally in price. Potent, Classy, Mature, Manly. Caution:- 1- Not a blind buy. 2- Avoid Overspraying.

A lot better then asad, it has no licrose which is plus point I could smell it after 9hours withoit putting my nose on my wrist, a lot smoother then I expected, mine is Nov 25 batch.

Extremely dark, spicy and masculine. Best suited for night, fairly linear, the longevity is insane, good projection. Yea I'm not good at fragrance note reviews. Btw never smelled DSE

I've waited for over a month before writing. The scent has become much smoother and better blended now. When I first bought it, the initial spray smelled somewhat like green Irish Spring bar soap, but deeper, darker, and more intense. It then dries down into a creamy scent that is clearly reminiscent of DSE but darker. This bottle is high quality with great longevity, though in my personal opinion, its uniqueness is good but hasn't reached that "WOW" factor yet. However, it is still better than Lattafa products despite being in the same price range. Naturally, I would choose this over Lattafa. one shot last night on arm and still smell it to the end of next day, crazy last

Smells eerily similar to Sauvage Elixir. I've never owned the OG but I did try it recently at Duty Free and while Ighra'a might not be exact, it's damn close. In the air, I doubt anyone would be able to tell. I can't really speak for projection at this stage but the longevity is insane. It must be strong as I go noseblind to it pretty quickly. However, I can still catch small wafts hours later throughout the day so it is definitely still present. It clings to clothing for days and survives a washing cycle. I also own Asad. Both smell similar but Ighra'a is much more potent.

Imagine u locked up a perfumer who never smelled Sauvage in a cave, showed him fragrantica notes and told him to clone DSE. This is what he came up with. Sauvage line has Blue frag DNA but this one doesn't, its typical sweet and middle eastern spice smell. Wouldn't even call it a clone. 4/10

Definitely not a safe blind buy. This leans more toward that older, super masculine vibe—something I’d picture for winter or a date night. It smells good and I can see why people like it, it’s just not really my style. 7.8/10

#1741 in my “Tour de Fragrance’ This is pretty close to Armaf’s “Private Key to My dreams”, also a sort of “Layton”, "Aventus Absolu” wannabe that’s not interesting beyond the first five minutes. In the opening there's a hint of “Green Irish Tweed” going on. This has a nice opening but the dry down is flat and boring. I don’t like how quickly the fruit notes disappear, leaving this scent nothing but tobacco, coffee and wood. It’s long-lasting on the skin but the scent is just not attractive after the first five minutes. Not for me. Good Luck and Good Hunting!

No way similar to sauvage elixir. Synthetic smell, no versatility typical attar perfume with sharp unbearable note. Very limited and one sided reviews being updated to hype it up. Very sharp not at all blind buy safe and false hype being made by updating forged praise in favour. One thing i makeout and that i don't want others to do i.e plan for blind buy purchase only after 1k to 1.5k reviewers rating.

the opening 30 min in starts similar to a barber shop smell from old school perfumes from the 1930s and turns into a complete damn beast mode scent 3 hours in with a royal arabic scent that is so unique turns Into another perfume tbh it goes from fresh to damn hardcore caramel and coffee and incense and the patchouli holy shit its crazy get so so dark and habibi. feels like you're in a desert drinking pineapple juice with tobacco smoke hitting you in the face. concentration on oil is so good it's better than spirit of Dubais oils. idk what to say but that im speechless and that this is soooo good and NOOOO it doesn't smell Dior elixir at all ppl just don't have good references tbh this is its own league of perfume and traditional with its arabic middle eastern heavy warm dark notes

Only just got this so I’m not commenting on longevity. Reviewing as an alternative to DSE. So far, opening is spot on. Mid is good and doesn’t change too much from the opening. Dry down is strange - seems to be somewhat linear and retains the opening scent, but a bit softer. I’ll see how this changes, because of its high oil content hoping it’s just needing time to mature/oxidise. I recently returned an unopened DSE because whilst I love it, I don’t go many places where it would fit in and I work in healthcare so can’t be choking people out. I know this is likely to differ in the dry down from reviews below but hoping it’s just as enjoyable when it’s had a month or two to sit in darkness

@voothedoo I like the smell and dse is similar but the batch I got seems weak on me sorry. I am gonna order a diff bottle from diff place and try again cause I have decided the dse is my fav smell of spice and Smokey light and lavender shave cream like smell. I just hope the next bottle projects better for me ok? OK, so I got a new bottle from a different place and I still feel the same way I feel like it’s a nice smell and it’s in the Sauvage elixir Arena, but it doesn’t seem to develop much and it stays close to the skin for me

@Logihack please understand fragrances n concentrations, if u want the scent to just blow off u use an EDT, with extraits n higher concs the scent stays with u longer and on clothes even longer with a nice scent bubble for the feel good factor. Quality is Top Notch with Ahmed perfumes and conc r higher so u enjoy them longer n not just hunting for fake compliments! Most Niche perfumes r very high quality but dont project at all!

This is the greatest inexpensive fragrance on the market. Its not a dupe. Sauvage Elixir is a dupe of this. It is the first fragrance that I received compliments on all day long. It performs for 12 hours with 3 sprays. I have sampled a dozen AAM fragrances and they are all failures aside from this and Aqua Oud. Its blind buy safe if you are a MAN. If you are feminine, id avoid it. 9/10

Big burst of the opening notes on first spray, blended amazingly - VERY STRONG. Dries to a tobacco heavy scent profile Smells really really masculine. Longevity is potent too. I get the Sauvage Elixir comparisons but this was released a year prior 🤔 Dior frauds?

Smells kinda weirdly spicy at first but after 5 minutes it becomes a masterpiece. My only problem is it doesn't project. I've only worn it once maybe it will get better with time.

@MarioKol is clueless. Ighraa came out years before Sauvage Elixir did. Sauvage Elixir is not a clone of this nor do they remotely smell alike. This place is worse than TikTok.

Ighra'a was released in 2024, not 2020. Ahmed al Maghribi introduced a huge line of masculine fragrances in 2024 to commemorate its 25th anniversary--Ighra'a was one of them.

Much better than Lattafa Asad (which smells likes an armpit). Smells quality and I prefer this DNA without the licorice. Performance is excellent as well. 9/10

Yes like Sauvage elixir but much more masculin . Performace is insane, have applied 2 sprays felt the whole kitchen . Great Value awsome scent .

Insanely strong. You can smell this on skin the next day. Not for the weak, however. 2 sprays can choke out a whale, so be careful lol.
