Prometheus

My first middle east perfume after going into this vast world of perfume with 5 local brands (around 10+ bottles) from my country. From my newbie nose, I'd say that Prometheus had the base of one of my very first perfume that's a dupe of One Million Elixir, which I like it quite a lot. It has that sweet, yet fruity kind of feeling to it. As it dries down after some times, I can pretty much smell vanilla, although not a heavy one for this. It also has aromatic kinda thing to it. From these alone, I can imagine how versatile it is to use this fragrance. Working, college, meeting. Just name the occasion, and I can see that Prometheus will be able to fit in those situations. Of course, if it's a formal meeting, some people will find Prometheus a tad bit too sweet.

This might be one of my best blind buys. I got it because I loved the bottle, it was on discount and I've got other Ahmed Al Maghribi fragrances that are all great. When you first spray it on, it has that mass appealing slightly sweet zingy freshness that reminds me of something like Montblanc legend spirit. It dries down more woody and you can smell the Tonka bean. Everyone is hyping Afnans linked freedom and I got a sample to test it and yes it's nice but This to my mind is a bit similar to it, but better! I don't think you can go wrong if you get this, it's very cheap, extremely versatile and it's hard to think of an occasion you couldn't wear it.

It opens with a blue DNA similar to Ultra Male or O'Clock and transitions into an Eros-like drydown; combine the two, and you get Prometheus. It boasts great performance and is highly versatile easy to wear in any situation but I personally wouldn't buy it because the opening and mid-notes are too similar to O'Clock (feels redundant); however, if I didn't already own the others, I would definitely pick it up. I don't understand why Fragrantica still doesn't have O'clock listed; it was released long before these others.

Just opened the box, and honestly I expected another generic fresh woody extrait. But Prometheus surprised me immediately. The opening feels cold, aromatic, and slightly green from the mint, juniper, and bergamot combo. There’s a clean musky air running through the scent from the very beginning. After a few minutes, the lavender and cedarwood start to smooth everything out, while the dark chocolate and benzoin give a soft shadowy sweetness instead of a loud gourmand vibe. What really stands out is the dry down. The musk, vetiver, vanilla, and guaiac wood blend together beautifully — earthy, airy, and masculine at the same time. It smells mature without becoming too dark or overly serious. Prometheus feels like a calm, confident day n night scent. Clean but mysterious. Elegant without trying too hard. Great for: Day n Night time Air-conditioned rooms Smart casual to semi-formal wear Masculine leaning, but still smooth enough to be unisex The musk-vetiver combination is definitely the star here.
