Aristocrat for Her

What I'm going to write now is my "first impression" only, as I got this fragrance only couple of hours ago. :) However, I may add something more later on, after wearing it properly. So, normally, I collect mostly sweet/powdery perfumes (I mean, that type of "talc/baby powder" powdery, as you can see in my account's description), but recently that medicinical/salty/spicy/saffran BR540 note, in combination with that familiar sweetness appealed so much to me that I've decided to "explore" the perfumes with such notes a bit more... and that in the search for my perfect unisex fragrance, as I felt I really needed to have a fragrance like that in my perfume collection. (By the way, I already got a BR sample /and I intend to get a full bottle maybe, at some point, too/ but I won't comment on the similarity of Aristocrat with BR, as I would like to give the Aristocrat a space on its own). So far, while testing Aristocrat on my wrists only, I find the scent absolutely what I've been searching for in my "unisex perfume" quest. :) it opens up with some orange-like sweetness that quickly transforms itself into that cotton candy sweetness, along with that beautiful salty, medicinical spiciness I really wanted to experience while wearing a perfume. :) It's kind of rough and a little bit pungent, but also sweet and yummy at the same time, like the two accords go together and stay together, in a very nice harmony... that's why I really like it so far, it's a very attractive scent for me. :) Also, the overall packaging and the bottle look very nice, quality-like, with a magnetic element. It's going to be a very unique looking item in my collection, for sure.

Definitely a MFK BR 540 dupe. I have the real MFK BR 540 and there is a slight different between the 2. The Ajmal Aristocrat for her is brighter, I'm guessing it's due to the citrus notes of orange and bergamot then it goes to a slight creamy phase of the candy dentist office "candy sugary floss" at the phases. The MFK BR 540 is much deeply rounded and creamy with the same dentist office "candy sugary floss" throughout it's phases. They both plays that same "disappearing/reappearing" act and the longevity of both the dupe and the real BR540 are the same on my skin. It last at least 6 to 9 plus hours on my skin and clothes and I feel I can wear them both year round day or night. Overall fragrance:10/10 Sillage: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Seasons : ALL

I bought a sample randomly not knowing anything about this fragrance. When I sprayed it on I was shocked to smell Baccarat Rouge. I have other perfumes that have a similar vibe to BR 540, but to me, this is the closest so far. I'd say its 95% or more the same and I like this just as much. I will still purchase a full bottle of BR 540 Extrait one day, as its my fave BR, but for now, this is hitting right on.

Tested it at an Ajmal Kiosk and damn it smells exactly like MFK Baccarat Rouge 540!! I love it, people in india might find it feminine but imo its unisex. Kudos to Ajmal! Sugary sweet cotton candy like fragrance.

Gorgeous,classy,good price,blind buy

Ajmal Aristocrat is the closest thing you could get to BR 540. The opening is a bit different but the way it sits on the skin, exactly like BR540. Lasts on the skin for a good amount of time. Agreed that is not a scent for everyone. It's very unique. I recommend to not blind buy this perfume. A sweet and warm spicy fragrance with a bit of musk at the very end. I like it but not for everyday. I could never see myself spending that much money on BR540, so for anyone on the budget, go for Ajmal. 8/10

It smells really nice, spicy warm and sweet. The sillage is pretty discreet and the projection is moderate. The longevity is really weak and I've also tested it on someone else's skin (because mine is cursed and it won't hold fragrances for very long) and it was almost same as on my skin. Overall a really nice scent, the bottle is beautiful, however I don't think it's worth it considering the price is not in accordance with the longevity.

This reminds me of Burberry Her, which reminds me of Cloud, which also reminds me of Dark Cherry and Amber 😅 This scent isn’t as sweet as the first two, and it doesn’t have that fizzy quality or longevity and sillage the third one has. I can still see it working as a nice casual scent as long as you don’t overspray.

Well, let's face it - it's not any near to be Baccarat. I just LOVE BCR and would recognize it everywhere a mile away.. unfortunately this one smells much more synthetic and too 'light' to come any close to the original one. It's good though if you've decided to save your money and still smell somewhat-BCR-style.

BR 540 dupe with weaker sillage and projection. I will gladly keep it in my purse to reapply throughout the day if need be. Paid $38 for 75ml bottle in Amazon, I’m enjoying it but I will only repurchase if I can get it for less as there are other better options in the market.

I bought it as a dupe of Baccarat Rouge but still have no clear opinion about this scent. Do I like it? Not sure. Do I not like it? Not sure. Does it smell like Baccarat Rouge? Not sure. Do I want to get rid of it? I am just not really sure.

Dont love Aristocrat but enjoy it. 10 hours later still notice the scent I like the distraction.

I love it, it smells expensive

A BR540 dupe, unmistakably so, but without the sickly sweetness some clones with which I've been acquainted, were cursed with, so it is not at all cloying or 'too much'. There is a clinical saffron and a soft expression of citrus in the opening. Saffron and amber truly are the notes I experienced soft but copious amounts of. The herculean con to this fragrance is its performance. Mind you, it's actually moderately lasting, but a skin scent sort of lasting power where you have to dig your nose in to smell the fragrance. It projects within the first hour and then you hardly smell/ notice the fragrance wafting about you. Is it a case of anosmia? I cannot tell. This one just wasn't for me... On a side note, the bottle is rather lovely. The magnetic cap was quite a nice touch from Ajmal. I adore Ajmal fragrances, mostly... But not this one. That's all.

Real thin mango peels, the inside part that touches mango flesh. Not sweet mango fruit. It’s there in the back, but it’s all mango peel and mango out after it’s had all the yummy mango eaten off of it. Two hours in and that’s what is still there except now it’s a little dirty smelling as well. Maybe the inside of mango peels and musk. I don’t know how I feel about this one. I love mangos and the first spritz and my initial reaction was “yummy!”, but after I take some time and revisit it, I’m pretty sure I couldn’t make this a wearable scent. I can’t commit to that either, because as I prepare to scrub this from my forearm, I am starting to feel like I will miss being able to hold my arm up to my nose and breathe this in. So, I’m conflicted. I feel like it’s pretty unique. I don’t have a great nose, but I didn’t think it’s a true dupe for BCR.

I don't consider this to be a "dead on clone" as another reviewer mentioned below but they are similar yes with distinct differences though. First, people keep commenting on the cotton candy sweetness....where?! I detect very little sweetness which is unfortunate because it could have made this fragrance so much better. It had the same medicinal saffron that another commenter mentioned comes off as what a bandaid smells like. Some people pick up on this.....others don't. Luckily I am the latter so I can enjoy this fragrance and other clones of BR540. I still prefer BR540 Extrait to most clones with the exception of Al Haramain's Amber Oud Rouge. That's the best BR540 Extrait clone I've tried so far.

Not bad, but cloying sweet, not so cheap, and the bottle is stupid.

Sugar bomb with a lot of saffron. I bought an Ajmal sample off fragrancenet because Aristocrat is voted a similar scent to Baccarat Rouge. If it’s similar, it’s the twisted sister in synthetic fibers. Dries down and mellows but the overly sweet opening is hard to navigate.

Citrusy talc with salty iodine undertones:) The longer it stays - the more Baccarat like it becomes but frustrating thing is that I cannot get any sweetness from it.. Like those 2 first seconds are so delicious, and then it's over...

Citrusy marigold. Sugared saffron and jasmine quickly follow. Then, ambery musk. It develops quickly and disappears fast. What was it again?

Dead on BR540 clone. Hence, not for me. But hey, if you are into BR540, this is great: awesome sillage, depth and longevity.

It's in the Cloud / BR540 family. Good radiation at first. Faded to skin scent in 3 hours. Only unisex and ageless if you think the same of Pink Sugar. I'm a fan of animalics, florals, and scents that remind me of black and white movies so this gets a hard pass from me. For my taste it's way too sweet and too created smelling. Not artificial as in cheap but artificial as in nature makes nothing like this.

I think I must have gotten a bad bottle? Does that happen? Smells like band-aids and antiseptic to me. Wish I had not purchased this. It is not a safe blind buy. But everyone has different tastes so if you like it that's cool...its just not for me.

Yuck! It smells like men! Smells like a typical men's cologne. Nothing in here smells like BR540. Perhaps my bottle is a fake? My bottle is brown not purple. Edit: I ordered Aristocrat for Her but was sent Aristocrat for Him :(

Its giving home depot upon initial sprays. I'll come back and update if I get anything else since it's a brand new bottle. It's very soft and not long lasting so at least the home depot smell doesn't project. So far, super disappointed by the smell. Edit: after about 20 minutes the home depot smells finally goes away. Dries down into a soft, pleasant, light, fluffy, delicate, slightly sweet, slightly perfumey scent. Very non offensive. Good for any setting. Definitely a skin scent. Longevity very poor, but I'm sure would be longer if you sprayed it up. Pretty satisfied with my first ajmal fragrance. That home depot smell is serious in the beginning though. Sidenote on the bottle design - A lot of people hate it. I'm not sure why, I kinda love it. It's so unexpected. From the moment you open the package the experience begins. It comes in a hard and textured box, not paper. And the bottle sits in a suede/velvet base. I have never had a perfume with that texture inside the packaging. This alone makes Aristocrat a great gift. The bottle itself is strange, you only see 1/3rd of the juice with the cap on, it doesn't really look like a perfume bottle, I couldn't tell you what it looks like lol. Almost like a trophy, something fancy and elegant, especially when it sits in the box. I don't know if anyone else noticed this detail, but the cap actually has a magnetic which gives it this satisfying pull when you open and close the bottle. Really incredible architectural design. I never talk this much about perfume bottles because that's not really what perfumes are for but I just wanted to say my piece because of all the hate this design gets. Ajmal has many unique bottle designs which I appreciate.

I'll keep it short and simple, Aristocrat for Her is Ajmal's direct clone of Baccarat Rouage 540. Nothing more to be said really. It is smooth, well balanced and better blended then the usual clones. It doesn't become cloying or headache inducing, just like the reviewer below me noted. I recommend it if you are looking for the BR540 scentprofile, as long as you can find it for a reasonable price (around 35 to 40 dollars). I don't recommend paying more then that, not because the fragrance lacks quality, but because there are many BR540 clones out there that will scratch that itch for cheaper and with relatively negligible differences.

I bought the perfume without trying it on the skin because on the blotter paper smelled exactly like BR and the smell on the paper lasted for a few days. But it was a totaly bad decision. On the skin the smell is nice and it is almost identical with BR540 EDP not with the extrait. longevity and sillage are weak on my skin but I do have a problematic skin. Given the price tag it can be reaplied during the day and it leaves a beautiful fresh-sweet medicinal trail. Longevity 3 hours (stays more and feels beter if appied on clothes) Sillage/projection - weak (depending on the skin could be better probably on some other skins)

I haven’t tried Baccarat Rouge, but what I smell is Chloe Nomade. An almost exact copy for half the price. Sweet amber, sweet jasmine, sweet orange. I’ve gone off Nomade lately (for being too sweet), but if the impulse arises I would consider getting this instead. Edit 2023: Whew! After having tried BR, I do think this is similar. And while I don’t think either smells bad, there’s something overwhelming and suffocating about them. Like a fluffy, atmospheric sugar that replaces all the oxygen in the room. Even one spray of the sample is too much for me. Great value for money, if you can handle it.

So I have a collection of most of the dupes for MFK BR540. THIS one is my favorite by far. I don’t own the original so I can’t compare. But this one just is so much more smoother I’m impressed. I also own Cloud and for the life of me I can’t smell the comparison to BR540 or any of the dupes. This worth having backups.

Bought this after seeing a YouTuber rave about it being the closest BR540 dupe. Reminds me more of Cloud, but not as sweet. It’s unisex, I spray it on my boyfriend all the time and it smells so good on him. Only lasts about 2 hours max. Good cheap dupe for BR540.

I like it a lot. I don’t feel it’s too sweet nor cloying at all. It’s just the right balance of on sweet, spicy and floral. It’s very versatile. suitable for any occasion, and I got so many compliments. Wearing it everyday nowadays.

This is a masterclass while someone has to talk about a clone of MFK-BCR 540. It does not smell cheap or synthetic, giving me a longevity of 6-7 hours in indian weather with beastly projection for first 2 hours.

My first impression of this is when you open your summer camp after a long winter. Brings back memories of summer at the lake.

on my skin it is pure sugar :)))
