Blu

This one is criminally underrated in my opinion, and not just at its price-point. For one, this is not a clone of Legend or Fierce. In the same realm? Yes.. but absolutely not a 1:1 clone. For me, I think Blu is actually the better fragrance of the three. Blu has a certain bite, energy and brightness that the others just don't. People say it doesn't last, but I certainly get better performance with Blu over Legend, maybe tied with Fierce. The blend quality here with Blu is incredible for the price, and the ingredients used seem far higher end than what I expected. Blu is a lot "cleaner" than both Fierce and Legend. Legend in particular has a bit of a watered down "dirty" and earthy scent to it, where Blu goes in a different direction with more emphasis on a very clean floral/melon vibe. The melon scent here is killer. Its a clean generic shower-gel vibe scent that's done so much better than most others it becomes unique again, IMO. It also has this Middle-Eastern feel right at the end of it hitting your nose, and I absolutely love it. There's a pretty solid base here with Blu, its not just airy and ozonic top notes that fade immediately. The drydown still has a punch and smells great to me. If you're trying to decide between Fierce, Blu, and Legend, just take note that Blu will be the brightest and most playful profile of the bunch. Legend will be the most earthy/aromatic, and Fierce is more or less in the middle. All similar.. but I do personally enjoy Blu the most, (and its the cheapest, so.. win/win) I've never gotten compliments wearing Fierce or Legend, but I have gotten a few wearing Blu, if that means anything to you. Could be chance, maybe not. This probably isn't going to rival your heavy hitter designers and niche frags, but I'd argue this is a great spring/summer/gym/errands fragrance with surprising quality that you won't regret getting because of the price, if nothing else. Also, I see people hating on these bottles, but I love them lol.

I usually don't take so much effort to write reviews for every perfume I own. The reason why I got here to write a review for this one is because this is by far the best summer perfume that I have experienced ever in my life. So the first time I experienced Ajmal Blu was when I went to one of the malls here in Nashik. I tried Ajmal Blu along with some other perfumes and I liked it immediately. Something did impressed me (it was a lotus note which I realised later). However due to my concept of 'not wasting too much on perfumes' I relucted and thus bought only one perfume that day and it was Emanuel Ungaro for him (which is winter fragrance btw). But this one I.e. Ajmal Blu kept running at the back of my mind for almost a year. Eventually one day after a year or so since that incident I bought this finally. And I am happy to have earned this one. I can safely say that this is the finest and favourite perfume in my collection which has likes of Armaf CDNIM parfum, Armaf Craze, Zara 9.0, and many clones of niche and designer perfume houses. Ajmal Blu deserves more praise and support from the perfume enthusiasts. Lotus note in it steals my heart everytime I wear it. If Ajmal perfume makers ever come here and read this comment then I would like to tell them that this is your one of the best and finest blends. Don't discontinue it ever. Thanks.

I don’t prefer fragrances such as Rasasi, Armaf, Lattafa, and Ajmal, because I know very well that they are artificial scents that contain many chemicals, but every rule has an exception. The exception here is Blu Ajmal, very summery and refreshing, the scent of watermelon is absolutely stunning, the best from UAE fragrance houses that rely on inspiration, imitation, and copying of famous fragrances in making their fragrances and sell them at a cheap price to achieve spread at the expense of quality. This fragrance is elegant and the bottle is long with stunning blue color and stands alone defying the summer heat. I don't care about the performance here or anything like that, what matters to me is the scent, and the scent of this fragrance is charming, with a personality and not inspired by another fragrance, in short. 8.5/10

Again, Despite of the listed notes In 2017 summer, I bought mine from Abu Dhabi airport in a rush after salesman suggested it as I was asking about a fresh perfume. I tried it on the gate and I found it is very nice lemon, vanilla & lavender scent The aquatic note was barely there. I own Allure edition Blanche They’re close, a little bit difference here and there but Ajmal was trying to play on the same notes and they succeeded. People says it is similar to a&f which is weird imo as I don’t find any similarities between both. Are people talking about a different scent? Maybe there is a huge variation in Ajmal production, but I’ve never seen such a huge reformulation in a short period.

This isn't even remotely like Chanel Allure Edition Blanche or Bleu de Chanel. It is good though, very good even. If I were to compare it to any mass market fragrance, I'd place it squarely in the AF Fierce camp. Like Fierce and its countless smell-a-likes (eg MB Legend, KC Mankind Ultimate, PE Perry Ellis, Armaf Beau Acute, etc), it's fresh and youthful and imminently familiar. This one though, there's something about it. It has a little more sweetness that sustains past the top notes and into the dry down. Regardless of what other fragrances it does or doesn't smell like, it's just freaking delightful.

I get lot of compliments even from unknown people. I think no one will agree with me, but when I wear this (3 sprays on my neck backside + 2 on my arms + 1 on my chest) I get 70% of Chanel Egoiste + 30% of terre d'hermes vibes. The overall concoction is like heaven. Even my wife likes to wear this a lot. That means this is a Unisex. Only bad thing about this fragrance is its longevity. But this is a super value for the money. Aa a safe measure I have kept 2 bottles in my stock ;)

Okay, so this starts off fresh(citrus), melony, lavender scent with a little bit of sea salt. The citrus dies down first and then the salt goes away in thirty minutes and it becomes more floral/musky I got it for 1400 INR, and at that price point it's a steal. 7/10 Proper summer scent Edit: Its been a few months now, I've used up most of juice. Honestly, is generic af but also clean which is what makes it easy to wear. Would I but it again? No Would I recommend it? Yes

It is an absolute stunning, gorgeous scent. One of the best summer fragrances of all time. I am so glad I blind bought it and I definitely will get another bottle as soon as I finish with this one. Pure summer juice which is like having a joyful splash in a cool pool with full of pieces of citruses, melon, and lotus flower. I 100% recommend this cheapy which costs only about 20 euro. Ps: I love this giant, blue, minimalistic bottle!

I just received my first full bottle of this stuff. It is so insanely good. Is it complex? No. Does it smell like a $300 niche fragrance? No. Is it totally wearable, incredibly refreshing, and basically irresistible? Yes. Similar to Fierce and its smell-alikes, but slightly sweeter and longer-lasting than all of them. If this fragrance was a pop song, it would be my favorite guilty pleasure.

If you're having trouble finding this one, you may want to check out Venetian Green by Armaf (not yet in the Fragrantica database). I tried it at a Perfume Outlet here in Phoenix earlier this summer and it's nearly identical. There's another Armaf release called Beau Acute that is very close as well.

Whoever rates this one as bad either never smelled this or don't like this type of smell/fragrance in the first place. This one gets a huge love from me. Veery similar to Kaaf but I don't mind having both. $25 for a beautiful bottle and stunning fragrance that's sure to get you lots of compliments!

Guys, My comparison based on personal trials And not based on the price or notes mentioned here or there. I'm still insisting that Blu is %90 similar to Allure Blanche E.D.P in the dry down The lavender in Blu fades away after 30 minutes then you can notice the similarities between them.

A hidden gem! This should be on everyone's radar for the warmer months. Very unique but still pleasing. The fruity notes in here are the best part.

Its perfect cheapie for the summer, starting notes seems synthetic but dry down is smooth. Definitely blind buy gem from the house of ajmal.

Ah the perfect gym bag cheapie. This smells like the original Mercedes Benz Man with an added fruity note. In other words it smells like another cheap Abercrombie fierce ripoff, but with an added fruit note that makes it feel more happy and pleasant. Supposedly this fruit note is most commonly picked up as watermelon, however to my nose I get more of a blueberry nuance. Like if you put a faint blueberry note in the Mercedes Benz Man scent you’d basically have this. It’s fresh and blue as the bottle suggests, definitely has that “shower gel” vibe, with a little bit of an aquatic feel and a tiny touch of a fruity blueberry note. I could definitely see some females finding this attractive on a man. My girlfriend likes it, but doesn’t love it as much as some of my other fragrances. To me this is a perfect casual summer scent, particularly one to wear to the gym - both during your workout or after showering post-workout. Will give you a fresh and pleasant scent cloud with a mild projection and sillage for 2-3 hours before becoming a skin scent. Nothing to write home about, but for the price it makes a nice enough casual summertime scent.

BLU falls into the super crowded category of "aquatics", clearly made by Ajmal in an effort to enter this big & popular market for obvious commercial reasons. This, by no means, implies that BLU is not a nice perfume. It sort of reminds me of Tom Ford's Costa Azzurra but with slightly better performance overall & at a (way) more reasonable price:quality ratio. BLU starts off aromatic & cool, with a gentle fruity floral vibe that remains pretty linear for as long as it lasts. What impressed me the most was the far drydown of BLU. Despite its being a discreet skin scent, it smelt pretty good. Very musky & ambery soft with hints of light spices, woody nuances & fresh lavender. Considering its availability at (very) reasonable prices, I think BLU could be a nice addition to one's collection if any other marine aquatic fragrance is not included. Nice & refreshing. 7.5/10

This is not an aquatic so I don't know where Fragrantica got that accord from. It's in the same category at Montblanc Legend, Franck Oliver Sunrise, Armaf Beau Acute, etc. in that it's a substitute (NOT a clone!) of Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce. This is the most floral of the group; it's got a clean laundry vibe that is fresh and calming. I would say that this is probably the best Fierce substitute I've found. Those others are firm "likes" but I have no issue calling this one a "love." Very, very wearable, and I can see it getting compliments during warmer weather.

Recently bought it again (mini bottle from ajmal's official website this time). Its winter here in india. And this 1 is performing like a beast with just a couple of sprays. First timer would reject this within a few seconds of it's 1st spray. But after 10 mins the magic begins. This perfume spreads its fragrance after 10 min and specially in drydown. The lotus and watermelon with sendal creats a unique kind of scent in drydown. I recommend to Everyone, should try this perfume. Purchase from the ajmal's official website/store.

The opening is sweet, almost urinal cake-like, but if you can get past that then this isn’t bad. The lotus seems prominent in the earthy aquatic mid, while the dry down is musky and woody with the slight watermelon from the opening. Not at all powdery. Once it settles this is very similar to Lynx Africa - and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Performance is moderate, and the bottle and lid aren’t very practical. Suggested deodorant match : hmmm let me see......Lynx Africa.

I agree with someone here comparing it to Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche....It has some of that creamy citrusy feel to it. Very similar to one another. Edition Blanche has been my favourite from the house for a very long time, it’s nice to find a cheaper alternative. It’s NOT exactly the same but 90% yeah, especially during the dry down.

This one is so fresh lavender based fragrance. Not very high on lavender but decent. perfect for day time, office or even trip to beaches. Good Projection, average sillage but pretty long lasting, specially on clothes. In the dry down it will give litlle bit of arabian perumery kind off of vibe. Nonetheless a good buy. Bottle looks cool too.

I was tempted to buy into Ajmal whilst flying out of Muscat. I'm glad I did. Blu is a nice and clean smell and dries down into a nice skin scent. Agreed that longevity and projection are limited, and I use this occasionally for office and after-shower evening times. Price is very reasonable for the juice.

Smells very similar if not the same as A&F fierce. But last hella longer. Don’t get any watermelon notes kinda wish this was a little different than fierce but it’s whatever. Maybe if fierce had a Aqua version this would be it. Solid scent 8/10

Nice fresh summer Aquatic blue sent. To me, this could easily fit into the Nautica lineup. Like a cross between Nautica voyage and Nautica blue, But with better longevity.

Blind buy worthy. Great performance on me lasts about 7~8 hours on skin and projects about 2 hours. It's very mouth watery fragrance best for the summer high heat.

Its an aquatic Chanel Allure Edition Blanche. Little bit cheap smelling but anyways, pleasent and people like it. I have a 10ml pure parfum concentration.

smells like a weaker version of ahmed kaaf though very subtle and refreshing . i think kaaf provides much better value for money

I bought this directly from Ajmal last year bundled with Mystery for like $30 because I needed the extra to make shipping worth it while buying a bottle of Wisal. Mystery was actually okay, Blu is just meh. Blu is one of those sort of sweet shower gel accord "blue" style fragrances you've smelled a hundred times over. Usually that would be fine if you want something simple and agreeable, but Blu has this underlying harshness to it that slowly assaults your sense of smell. It's a very chemical cleanser/hairspray type of note probably because this contains 100% cheap synthetic ingredients. I find it too off putting to actually wear. If you're a teen this would be fine I guess. Wisal and a few other Ajmal fragrances are high quality but this one isn't even close.

It does actually smell like Mont Blanc Legend EDT... The opening is a bit chemical, but the dry-down after 30 minutes isn't that bad. The performance is average, but it's expensive because it's almost the same price as Legend, maybe $10 less 😐

Ok smell, with the Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce dna but more watery, spicy and more of that "blue style fragrance ". Nothing new nothing wow. If you can get it under €20, worth grabbing, mora than that, stay away.

Blu is one of French line from Ajmal Perfumes. Its Aquatic Soft, Pleasing but smells like other Aqua Perfumes in the market with little Projection & Longevity The Top begins with a Fresh & Aqua as it has Lavender, Lemon, & Water Melon note followed by a Floral, It has Jasmine & Lotus as Heart Notes and Base of Woody Musky & Ambery as it has Sandalwood, Musk & Amber as Base Notes. It smells not diffferent from other Aqua Perfumes and Price is Affordable but still you get many good ones at this Price Range, Projection & Longevity are Bad. My Rating is 2.5 out of 5. Although I like Ajmal Perfumes, My Honest Review. I dont like this one as there are other great aqua scents from others with solid projection & Longevity. I gave it to my friend after applying for 1 day and will never go for this again

Have you ever written something down, then gone back to check it, but cannot read your own hand writing? This is the feeling I have when smelling Blu Ajmal after buying it. I'm not quite sure what I was thinking at the time or why I bought it. A cold scent, intended for hot summers, this is very synthetic. The aquatic and ozonic tones, although refreshing at the start, become nauseating and headache inducing after prolonged exposure. What is strange is that I have randomly received compliments on this from time to time so I think it does appeal to some people. At has even been dropped from my gym bag.

Good smell. Super Affordable. Decent Performance. The bottle design sucks though.

Every hype around this fragrance is ridiculous, the scent has No projection, No Longevity and to be honest there are better smelling fragrances out there if we were to debate on the scent profile. It’s not “stunning” or “charming”, honestly don’t care for it. Like every delusional fragrance addict I tried my hardest to like this fragrance and embrace it for what it was. But it was no use. I gave up and exchanged it with a freind. Performance: 1/10 Longevity: 2/10 Scent: 2/10 Overall: The above score is my opinion, just test it before buying. If you like very soft and weak scents that smell remotely fresh you might like it :)

I'm shocked to read the reviews here! This is such a sharp-stingy-harsh-cloying-synthetic aquatic fragrance, very detergent like. It has a good longevity & projection which makes the matter worse. This was my first & last lesson for blind buys. I bought the trio i e. Kuro, shiro & blu, all three are unbearable.

Just as with Kuro and Shiro, this starts by giving me a temporary, but actual headache, and the odor again reminds me of Axe body sprays, blue shaving gels, etc. This is another “blue” scent, with more bright fruity vibes on top, with a sort of spice too. Glad I only have a decant. These three scents are for those who miss the days when every average young man was wearing way too many sprays of Axe body spray scents. Kuro’s drydown does resemble barber shop smells in a nice way, but only when it’s died down to the point at which you have to actually sniff your skin right where you sprayed...or, if sprayed on a shirt, you can smell it but I doubt others can except maybe when you move around a lot near them. Kuro had the best smell of the three, but the worst performance. Ajmal does middle eastern scents much better, even in the cheapie categories. I have yet to smell a westernized scent by them that is any good though. I wish they would sell their best stuff in the US (there’s a new black Wisal—Wisal Layl—that is only available in the UAE for example).

i have a friend @ work who brings his scents every day (different colognes for different days)to work!, today he brought this , when i saw it first thing that came to my mind was dude thats a huge bottle but anyways i asked him if i can try it he said he'd be glad to hear my take on it and i did , notice that i only sprayed once and it reminded me of BdC and also a bit of cool water its not a copy though but it wanders in same genre and thats aquatic also there are floral notes there and are powdery dry , well after all its pretty run of the mill cool summer scent which to "my nose" is like bleu de chanel so if you like that one youll do good with this and if you havent tried it yet buy this one , youll get what BdC will smell like :)overall! your call longevity & projection for 1 spray not bad ;) :D

It's funny, seeing those notes and smelling them, I swear I've smelled the feminine version of these notes somewhere at some point - watermelon, lotus, sandalwood...but when those notes are made too sweet to "feminize" them, the composition becomes unbearable. Although Ajmal Blu is quite masculine, I do like it better than an overly sweet aquatic. It's an icy cool fragrance, but every note (except maybe jasmine for me), especially the sandalwood, is there. It's like this fresh water has covered all of those ingredients and is letting them ebb and flow through, smoothly, in a bundle, at intervals. It's too masculine for me to feel comfortable wearing, but I think it's a quality fragrance, and does not smell cheap.
