Cashmere Musk

I blind bought the whole “M” series. This is the third one I’ve worn so far. Violet Musc got an extremely rare 10/10 from me; Amber Musc got an only slightly-less-rare 9/10. Cashmere Musc receives a very respectable 8/10 from me. It has the same unique, richly textured musk in the other “Musc” fragrances. However, this one contains a notable white leather/suede, which is no doubt the cashmere, and an interesting “tropical” twist, courtesy of the ylang-ylang. Cashmere Musc leans a bit feminine, but it isn’t girly. The projection is surprisingly moderate compared to the others in this line and longevity is decent, but not great. Overall, I really like this one, it just isn’t quite as excellent as the others from this series (so far).

There was a price drop so I pulled the trigger. So this juice is mainly powder with a touch of cashmere and ylang ylang. It doesn't change from beginning to end. A man can pull this off easily cause this has a hint of leather and dry floral in the dry down. You gotta go heavy (6 sprays) if you want a 6hr scent bubble. By itself I probably would not reach for it, but layered with a woody scent knock this out of the park smooth! Scent 6.5, longevity 8.0 and silage 5.0.

This is by no means a feminine leaning fragrance. It's sits right in the middle and can be worn by both men and women. I consider a lot of "unisex" fragrances as very feminine, but this one is something else. Very oriental in the way that the DNA was structured, but I like that it's not overly dark or oudy. The smell is discrete and pleasant, ideal for a gentleman who doesn't want to be loud. I'll give it an 8/10

I didn't like this at first, because I was trying it on its own and it lacked a certain depth for me. But I just tried it with Lattafa Shahd, which is a warm yellow floral and it was a beautiful combination with this lightly on top. They both share Ylang Ylang, Cedar and Musk, and I think they balanced each other out quite nicely!

Initially it reminds me of Angel's Share -- there's a sweet spiciness to it. Unfortunately, I think these initial notes are too generic compared to the beautiful cashmere dry down. I wish this was just the base notes.
