Dahn Al Oudh Al Nuwayra

I bought this in Dubai because....well because I could. I finally get it. What real oud smells like and why I love it so much. This one is a lighter, somewhat flowery version of all the oud oils I smelled. I liked the dank and skankier ones better, but this is the only one my fiancé would let me buy...she hates oud and thinks it smells like between the toes of hot feet...anyway this is gorgeous...I'm glad I finally have the real stuff. Scent 10/10 Projection 7/10 Fortitude 7/10....not as much as I would have thought for perfume oil. A bit of a letdown

I too bought this at the Dubai Airport..Firstly let me say the bottle and and box is worthy of any collection...The fragrance, well either you like oud or you don't. Compared to other oud oils I would rate this as a middle level entry.. At the moment I am blending it with Oud Elite's Pure White (not listed here!!??)..and it smell Amazing.

Got an official sample from the company. It came in a regular tester bottle with a stem in it to apply on your skin. The vile was 97% empty because of how expensive it is. Unfortunately the sample has went bad because of all the air in the glass vile. I applied all the sample on my hand. Colored my hand an orange tone. It's thick & resinous, and extremely oily. It smells like extremely stale oil found spilt on the concrete in a mechanic's garage. Along with the note of stale oil, comes the strong note of stale red wood, but the wood smells old, almost like it is found as a broken piece sitting on the ground for years, oxidizing and filled with mold from bi-weekly rain. Notes of old soiled Leather-coat. During the mid, sweet notes of plum can be found if concentrating. The staleness is slowly evaporating, and im starting to appreciate it now. The scent while strong sniffing the skin up close, doesn't project. No funk, no skank found here in this version of Oud, and it's very dry antique wood smelling. About 4 hours later the end dryoff you'll pick up a cool menthol note to the dna. Id label this a old leather jacket style Oud. And personally it's not exciting enough for me to wear. Wish i could smell this freshly extracted to get a proper opinion of the Oud here. Im glad for this interesting experience. 2/5 Woofs

The spiritual scent will work subliminally to induce a calm in your heart... your olfactory sense begin to taste the exhilarating aroma of honeyed chocolatey liqour, amber, cedar and sweet aloes wood and a savage yet utterly manly mammalian smell that excites and seduces... use this for deep meditation, prayer and delirious love making with the love of your life.

A very reasonable beginners oud from a reliable source. It is reminscent of traditional Hindi ouds when smelled from the dipstick. However, Nuwayra is a mixture of lower grade Cambodian and Indian ouds and smells fruity when you apply it to yourself. Dried prunes or apricots kind of sweetness in the opening makes it very approachable. I dont get too much funk here, maybe 3/10 in a funk scale. It is difficult to describe it if you are unfamiliar with these kind of scents. If you are into oriental oudy profiles, this is not challenging at all, even easier to pull off for your daily use. Mid stages and dry down is very similar to the oud used in Dahn al Oudh Shams special edition imo. Nuwayra is not comparable to your artisanal grade oud oils by no means. However, it is the real deal and no brainer as an introduction to oud. There is no need to say that presentation and bottle is above and beyond at this price point.

the first reviewer does not know what he's talking about, um simply put it smells like a barn yard, no chocolate, and leather maybe cuz it smells like cows and sheep and goat all put together so gives it that cattle smell, longevity is insane cuz its a concentrated oil perfume. nothing special the westernized versions of oud or whatever chemical way they make it smells decent enough to wear, this one however is much more of an acquired taste. for anyone out there looking for a true oud smell experience just save yourself the time and money and jus visit a place where they keep cattle or go sniff a cows butt. cheers

A straightforward, fresh-spicy, non animalic leathery oud. Nothing groundbreaking, but also non synthetic smelling. It is a mix of low grade dehnal ouds with a very nice scent profile but also with a slightly disturbing performance. It lacks definitely the density of the Al Haramain's Dehnal Oud's, which are unbeatable in their price segment but I like Dahn Al Oudh Al Nuwayra very, very much and therefore Star light, star bright, The first star I see tonight; I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight.

I smelled this one at the airport in Dubai, not sure why I did not purchase it, I already have a lot from Ajmal. Now I wish I did... This is a mild, very smooth oudh, not strong at all, good for beginners. Also quite inexpensive (compare to other Ajmals oils)and long lasting, of course.

this is very close to high quality pure indian oud. smooth, leathery, chocolaty scent with a touch of dry plums. aroma from the stick is very nice, however on skin it dies quite fast, but may vary from skin to skin=)

First of all this not a 100% pure oud... Now even Ajmal brand can't be trusted for pure oud... Just like most of its creations, it is blended with synthetic molecules.
