Dahn Al Oudh Tharwaan

I don't know if Tharwaan is all oud or if it's a perfume featuring oud, however this is a soft, attractive attar that garners compliments. It starts with a kind of lemon furniture polish and patent leather note that deepens with touches of saffron, oud wood, camphoraceous patchouli and musk. It's very soothing and smooth and creates a subtle aura around the wearer. Wonderful if you like oud with all the raunch taken out and wearable in any situation. A great attar. This ittar/attar is divine! Divine! It is very wearable, it's scent is nothing that reminds you of a farm or manure at all. I have a tiny drop on my wrists, it is very rich on my skin. It is very deep, earthy, woody, resinous. The opening is agarwood, a tiny hint of menthol type of note, and citrus. After some time I can pick out some deep green notes perhaps a "oakmoss", a type of green bitterness underneath the agarwood. The heart shows to be warm, a little sweet, dry like a type of hay accord, woody and resinous/balsamic to slowly reveal a heavy base of wood. Here I detect a delicate tarred aspect blending with the agarwood adding a deeper aspect to this oil. I love the box the bottle came in, it is a glass bottle with a little dipstick, it is so gorgeous and a little heavy. Avoid allowing the dipstick to touch the skin because the oil will be contaminated with old dirty skin and change the makeup of the oil. I tried the Ajmal website for the notes. This bottle did not show up on the site.
