Evoke Gold for Her

I love this perfume and now that it's starting to get really hot, I find myself reaching for this all the time. It lasts a really long time and projects quite a bit. I can smells this on myself throughout the day and everytime I do, I just fall more in love this with fragrance. I find it smells expensive, unique and classy, definitely one of my favorites. Edit: This just surprises me each time I reach for it after a while of not using it. My bottle is from 2021, so it's a rather old bottle which is probably the reason this fragrance is such a beast now. Everytime I open the cap to smell this though, my eyes roll back lol, I just love it so much and will be getting more bottles of this in the future for sure. Such an amazing underrated gem!

First sniff, my eyes opened and I thought "Wow" - this reminds me of yacht parties, very pretty girls - cool girls - ones with curly hair, soft black eyeliner, baggy overalls with tank tops inside and flip flops. Evoke gold for Her is classy and stunningly gorgeous. There are aspects of this fruity floral that lean masculine and that's not the vetiver or patchouli end of masculine, it's the sweet masculine - the one that's warm and comforting. It's not screechy or loud like fruity or floral scents can be - it's classy. Well blended. AH! Just looked at the notes. Tonka and vanilla are what're grounding these gorgeous florals, apple and blackcurrant.

Gosh how do I describe this! It is a masterpiece! Blended so amazingly. It lasts for absolutely ages but is not cloying or screechy. It is a perfect blend of East meets West in terms of oriental & occidental perfumes. I think EvenstarFaerie summed it up well when she said it is fresh & lively yet spicy with a musky depth. Definitely one to add to your collection ladies! And it's not expensive yet you'll feel like money wearing this!

Update 10/25/24: wore it again today for the first time in over a month and either it or my nose has transformed for the better, it smells smooth, classy, lovely on its own. I would not have liked this in my 20s/Pink Sugar days but I sure do love it now. Apparently this one needs a LONG time on the shelf. ——— When I first got this, I really didn’t like it at all. Smelled synthetic and something in it I really didn’t like. It’s been a few weeks and I tried it again today and I really like it a lot! Much more mellow and nuanced and quite pleasant on its own. I layered it with a small spray of Rose 01 and am loving it. I think I’ll use this a lot for layering.

Upon first spray, I get the black currant and apple with a bit of pink pepper, the tonka and vanilla showing up as a mildly sweet base. As it flows on, I can smell the peony and musk. There doesn't seem to be much lily-of-the-valley. There is a bubble gum accord about 10 minutes in for me, but that eventually goes away. This is an okay fragrance. I have a few Ajmal's and they have some unique, beautiful offerings (Sonnet, Aurum), but this one is a rather generic vanilla/floral/fruit scent that I wouldn't rebuy. I get moderate longevity and sillage on my skin.

This is so fresh and lively!!! At first the apple and blackcurrant were very strong and were complimented by the peony and lily of the valley. It has a gorgeous fruity floral opening. On the dry down, the pink pepper, tonka and florals are very prominent on my skin. There’s a slight hint of vanilla but not too much. It’s still feminine and a little bit sweet, but it has a lovely spicy, musky depth that gives it a slight touch of masculinity. I just wish lasted longer on my skin.

I'm completely underwhelmed by this perfume, especially after the reviews I watched; it's just okay, very forgettable.

Vanilla lightened by white florals, ozonic notes, and musk. I get a nice dose of clean Tuberose with this scent. Tonka is also pretty prominent in this scent. Lasts a decently long time, nothing mind-blowing but a decent release from Ajmal. This scent also reminded me of Ajmal's Sacrifice for her.

On my skin, this is a sweet floral vanilla n tonka combo with a very very very thin layers of spicy pink pepper n black currant. As a whole it gives lactonic n coconuti-ish vibes. For those who are not fond of sweet candy marshmellowy perfumes, worry not, as this is more sweet floral than the sweet sugary types. I also find it a bit similiar to Givenchy Dahlia Le Nectar, if you are lucky enough to find one. This genre is not something that I will look for, actually, so I prefer the original one Evoke for Her in a clear bottle. That one is WOW!! So classy, mature n complex in a modern way. I am not in the dry down stage yet, so I might update it later for the full experience.

When people said it smells like money and luxury, I expected a little more from this but it's ok. It's like YSL Manifesto with some red fruits/apple added in.

Has anyone compared this with D&G The One Gold Intense for her?
