Evoke Gold For Him

I have been aware of this fragrance for awhile, but with so many fragrances on the market, I forgot about it. I recently sold my prada l'homme, not because I didnt like the scent, but because of projection issues. I almost instantly regretted it. Prada l'homme intense recently was discontinued, and prices have sky rocketed. Because of this I bought evoke gold at a really good price. I was impressed with how much it smelled like prada lhomme with better silage and longevity. Most people will not be able to tell the difference between evoke and lhomme. But I do understand those who compare it to Abercrombie fierce. Evoke gold has the woodiness that is fierces trademark scent. But its so far layered underneath the prada lhomme scent that alot of people wont or cant notice it. It doesnt smell like fierce but has 1 aspect of it. If you blink you miss it. Regardless, fragrance houses like ajamal, armaf, al Harramain, and the likes are showing that you dont have to charge 100s of dollars to make quality fragrances. You are just paying for the name on the bottle. I know it can be a mental hurdle for some to get over, but once you get past the fact that your bottle doesnt say prada, or dior, your going to realize how much money you can save. Ajamal evoke gold has won my loyalty, and I definitely will be buying another bottle once I finish the one I have now.

From the first spray, you can definitely tell that this is a clone of Prada L'homme. NO question. The watery iris is there, surrounded by black pepper on a bed of neroli and amber. The difference on my skin is that, besides the added sweetness, it doesn't really have that powdery chocolate nuance that Prada L'homme has in the mid and base, making it slightly more unisex IMO. Plus the pepper that's used here is the nose-tingling kind so I wouldn't recommend overspraying or getting your nose too close. In fact, as the notes separate in the drydown, the combination of pepper and geranium give this strange, aromatic spiciness that my mind associates with garlic for some reason - not the smell, just the spiciness. It's weird, but only in the background. Moreover, the far drydown on skin is unusually reminiscent of CK Be...a degredation worthy of Twilight Zone music. ♪♫ Anyway, it's a small price to pay for the added performance over Prada L'homme, which is a whisper by comparison. Projection is almost nuclear for the first 2 hours and total longevity is about 6-8 hours. Quality is decent, longevity and projection are very good, the shiny bottle is....a bottle, and the price is about 1/3 of Prada. So, yeah, I'd say that Evoke Gold is a win. Scent - 8/10 Longevity - 8/10 Projection - 8.5/10 Overall - 8/10 - Impressed.

The only differences between this and Prada L'homme are the perceived refinement right at the opening, and some minor aspects of ingredients feeling more present than others in comparison to the original. It's got all the ingredients of the EDT with a bit of the intensity of the Intense. Lasts and projects longer thanks to it, which is a plus in my book. All in all, it's 97% close for me. You can tell it's a little less soap-like but don't think wrong about this part, it still smells like bed sheets that you just washed and took to your room. When you smell it and feel the warmth with that smooth, sublime smell coming thru your nose. That is the sensation this fragrance brings. Recommended for close encounters especially. It's the type of fragrance that you use to feel comfortable yourself, getting those smooth whifs of the creamy iris and neroli with a bit of spices, just makes you feel like a greek philosopher in the middle of the flower fields, surrounded only by the beautiful fields, the sunlight and the frequent breeze that brings in that comfy, smooth smell. If the brand name, bottle design, feeling of purchasing power makes you feel good, go for the Prada. If you don't care about the tacky presentation or name imprinted on the bottle, this is pretty much the same juice for way less money.

Taken as its own fragrance, this can be bought for around $30 for 3 oz at discounters currently. For that price, it is worth it. The note listing misses a big player here, i.e. violet leaf. It is quite prominent in the opening and mid, and the way that it blends with the iris and neroli is enchanting. I believe this is what creates a similar feeling to Ferragamo Aqua Essenziale Colonia (though they are different scents overall). It even has a bit of Montblanc Individuel in it. And speaking of iris, with apologies to the Dior/Valentino fans, this is not one of those sharp lipstick irises that I realize that I really dislike. This is more of a fragrant, powdery, soft variety that works beautifully. The geranium doesn't present as a note, but more as a counterpoint to give this depth. Some castile-type soapiness comes out in the mid, not in any way like a barbershop accord. Don't expect the cedar listed in the base to do much, and I feel that anyone who refers to this as a woody fragrance is being unduly influenced by the description. Quite versatile, average performance, at a good price. The whole thing works as an ensemble. It isn't stunning, but it is very good and quite solid. It is bottle worthy.

Damn, this was a good blind buy. Doesn't smell exactly like Prada L'Homme, but similar enough. This is stronger, which is a double edge weapon because while it is nice it has better performance, the whole point of a soapy clean fragrance is to be subtle enough to use in work situations for example. So this kind of smell is interesting. Its not the best. Its not the best compliment getter in the world, its nobody's favorite fragrance. But it excels at its purpose (or what i believe is its purpose): Smelling clean. It is really good for work environment as it projects cleanliness, order, responsibility. I don't think i would wear it anywhere other than work, because in almost every other situation you have better choices. But for me working in the medical field being clean is important, and this inoffensive clean scent works wonders. I just go light on the sprays because of its strength. I didn't think i would like it so i managed to grab a cheap sample (which is hard to get in my country because in most sites its close to half or 3/4 the price of the bottle so i just end up buying the bottle). But now i want the full bottle, so i guess im gonna get it.

I was able to get this for around €30 and I have to say that it is insanely similar to Prada L'homme. It is unmistakably this powdery, soapy, irisy DNA, but to my nose it has a little bit of Prada L'homme Intense as well. The bottle is tacky and looks like a piece of cut cheese, but the juice is phenomenal. I'm very impressed, this is something you could use all year round, same occasions as L'homme. I can't speak about how similar it is, since I don't own the Prada cologne, but I do have Intense and it's similar, maybe like 60%. I personally love the opening on this, it may be a bit harsher, than Prada, but still brings that brief aromatic feel, before the powdery, soft iris kicks in at full force. Say what you want about the DNA, whether it be that it's too feminine or it's just not that interesting, I still think that it's one of the most pleadant smells a persan can put on their body. It is soft, clean, classy, calming and has a very reserved vibe to it. I love Prada L'homme and I love thos clone as well, if you can find it for agood price and you love L'homme edt, it's 100% worth a shot.

I have one of the newer batches of Prada l'Homme. It smells lovely, but the performance is not the best. I have smelled the older Puig Made in Spain juice from before 2023 and it has much better performance than the current Made in France juice. This definitely outperforms my current batch of Prada l'Homme. It strips a bit of the freshness in the opening, but exchanges that for better performance and some extra warmth throughout the wear from the opening to the end. There definitely some spice up top that's not there in the original and a smooth creamy orris all throughout. I think this is for the better as it adds depth, and they amped up the middle and base as well. This is definitely creamier and better suited for the cold months, in my opinion. I can not fathom that people in here generally consider l'Homme better in the Winter than Evoke Gold. The extra spice and added density favor this more in the Fall and Winter than l'Homme. These are my initial impressions, I will update this review at some point.

This is an Iris BOMB... After looking at the similaritiy bottles others have voted for, I was hoping this would lean closer to Prada L'Homme L'Eau Prada (Blue Bottle), however this is very close to Doir Homme (Blue Juice). Although this stuff is exceptional, I already have two bottles of Dior Homme and the brown ones, I have enough Iris based scents to last a lifetime now. I’d also like to add that this stuff although close to Dior Homme, it does differentiate itself some by the time you hit the mid, it becomes a little spicier from the pepper, and the amber notes add a touch of subtle powdery sweetness. All I can say is that this stuff is a winner. If you don’t have Dior Homme and want a substitute, this bottle very well may be for you. I get average performance from 3-6 hours depending on the weather. It’s a solid addition and wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying this stuff. It’s also very similar to Armaf’s Futura, but maybe better quality. 8/10

Wore this for a week and then ordered 3 back-up bottles for $90 shipped total. Absolute steal, and will now on be one of my go-to's for Spring-Fall. Having worn Prada L'Homme, one of my all-time favorite scents, this fits the same occasions and purpose that the Prada would. I won't get into "how close" it is, but it is certainly close enough to scratch the same itch and an excellent choice for a daily wear, less formal occasions, and just a good quality cheapie to throw on as a dumb reach 3.5 seasons of the year. I'll go through the Prada a lot slower now that I have this for all for all the times the Prada just isn't necessary. Same deal with my bottle of Aventus and CDNIM LE. Similar juice, idk how close, of course not identical, but gets the "same job" done for when using the (much) more expensive cologne would be a bit of a waste. 9/10

I really like it, smells similar to Prada L'Homme, but for some reason it has zero soapyness. This make it smell "heavier", and not as fresh, but also more interesting. Performance is alright, I've got a Jan 2020 Batch and it has a light projection for the first hour, and then moves closer to the skin. On the skin it remains for a pretty good time, at least 6-8 hours. Given the use case of this fragrance, I think this is fine. It's not supposed to overwhelm people the moment you get into a room, just like Prada L'Homme, but rather be versatile and inoffensive. You just smell good to people really close to you, but you don't annoy anyone. I've paid 42€ for it, and it might even be discontinued at this point because it's hard to find.

as someone who finished a bottle of both l’homme and evoke gold, they are similar for sure. i’d say 85. evoke gold is very good in its own right and is a little different in profile. it’s a little less airy and soft with the powdery sweetness l’homme has but is still very airy and soft with a little more spice. prada l’homme is definitely better to me, but that speaks to how good it is in itself more than evoke gold not also being very good, because it is. evoke gold should scratch the itch, but l’homme is just a bit different and is one of the greats. the price being worth the scent difference is subjective but i can say evoke gold is quite quite good

Fantastic replica of Prada L’Homme, glad I pulled the trigger on this one and bought it! It’s so similar to L’Homme on the opening & dry down, just ever so slightly sweeter which I love, but with slightly less of those delicious soapy clean accords that Daniela Andrier does so well for Prada. Seemed a little weak at first, but after a week or two of using it and getting some air in the bottle it opened up a bit and longevity/projection slightly improved. As a guy, if you like unisex floral fragrances this is a win, although you can spend like $30 more and get a 1.7oz bottle of L’Homme for around $60 or slightly less on most of the grey market sites.

To be honest this is not too closed to prada L Homme, for me its around 70%, a bit harsh on first apply, but this is still good for daily wear the only thing evoke do better than prada only on the longevity, i also have prada L Homme that amazing on scent but weak in performance. But with evoke gold u can do layering with L Homme u need spray this as a based and cover it with L Homme so u dont need to spray 20 - 30 spray on L Homme The bottled design a litlle weird for me but feel solid on my hand the cap not magnetic but it perfect closed and solid. So Far for me this is 8/10, safe for blind buy, good for daily wear, Office, school.

Got this for dirt cheap, I love the scent profile of Prada L'homme line. This does smell very similar to P. L'homme but it's a bit different in the deep dry down. P. L'homme retains the soapiness until the end of it's life but Ajmal Evoke get's a bit sweeter and the soapiness dials down. Still love it tho, performance is very good as I can get a full day's worth when I wear it (Around 4 sprays - Back neck, back of both ear's and on the chest). Recently got the Water Splash aslso and I love it more than the OG, fresher and invigorating. Bottom line is that Ajmal Evoke is a winner to me 10/10, good stuff.

Genuinely incredible fragrance, especially for the price. I own most of the listed “smells like” frags, and to my nose this is somewhere between Dior Homme edt and the Prade L’Homme Intense. It has the freshness of the Dior and the warm ambery-ness of the Prada. It lacks the leathery-ness of Homme intense. I get decent projection and over 12h of noticeable longevity before it fades to a faint skin scent for a bit longer. It also comes off as clean and natural and high quality, does not smell cheap or synthetic. It’s a safe blind buy if you’re familiar to any of the “smells like” frags. Just buy it!

I own Prada L’homme, L’eau and the Intense. I actually prefer this over L’homme and Intense. I believe it has most in common with the OG and L'eau. Evoke gold (EG) has a amber dry down where the other goes more in the iris-spice direction. Side by side EG Smells Very different from the Prada. However it does the same thing in its own way and if not compared side by side it’s har to tell it from each other. I actually prefer this one and reach for it, on most occasions, also over the intense. It’s a great find, because of the price tag and I can save the others, that also seem harder to find.

With Prada L'Homme becoming harder to find and being more expensive, Ive turned to this instead, as its 1/3rd of the price. This is for sure a Prada L'Homme clone, but it takes a bit of the soapy nature out and puts in some sweetness and a slight pepper note. I needed a good fragrance to be able to experience Iris in a non lipstick type of accord, and this hits the nail on the head. It does everything I want L'Homme to do, and it does it better. Longevity is very good, I get whiffs all day at work Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 Projection: 7/10 Versatility: 9/10 Price Value: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

If you read my past reviews, you'll know how enamored I am with Prada L'homme. I've owned & repurchased it twice in my life and it was the first "big-boy" fragrance I ever bought. I saw that this was one of the only cheap replicas for Prada L'homme so I absolutely had to try it. Only about $26USD. Let me tell you, this is an absolute dead ringer for Prada L'homme. Even lasts a bit longer! The only real difference I noticed was that it has a tiny bit more of a dry texture compared to the real thing. Other than that, from opening to drydown, it's 100% spot on. I'm honestly in disbelief.

This was my first Ajmal purchase. Ajmal has an official store in my marketplace and I have been considering to try them. Finally decided to buy this as a lot of review states that Evoke Gold is inspired by Prada L'Homme. I haven't smell Prada in a long time, but this is pretty spot on. When I smell this, I was taken to my younger days because it reminds me on how my dad used to smell in the morning before he went to work. Very nice white fragrance and iris heavy. Also kinda reminded me to The Dreamer. I will use this scent to the office. Very nice dry down with a hint of neroli.

Never tried Prada LHomme but this is such a silky smooth scent. You can really feel the velvet smoothness of the iris blend in with the beautiful neroli giving it a sweet and fresh personality. The pepper does not come off too punchy to my nose, which is a good thing considering I'm not the biggest fan of the note. The fragrance dries down to a sweet powdery and soapy base that lingers for quite sometime. Lasts an easy 6-7 hours, projects for the first 1-1.5. A solid 9/10 office fragrance. Can be worn all year round imo, although consider over spraying during the hotter months.
