Khallab

This one is an unsual rose oud combo. First of all, the oud is animalic so it can be a bit off-putting to some people. Then there's the rose and the grapefruit making a rare combination with the oud. I can smell some green nuances (that remind me of pectoral herbs) and musk to support the whole concoction. Very unusual, but somehow, it works and very well. So, the people's reaction is mixed. Some of them loved it, some of them just liked it and some of them... hated it, and I understand why. The fragrance is polarizing because of the unexpected blending. It's loud and a bit piercing, with great performance. On clothes, this lasts ages. The bottle is beautiful. Khallab is just incredible. At this price point, getting this quality of blending and ingredients? It smells so natural! Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this has real oud in it. Knowing Ajmal, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

It is good, but it's not the amazing natural smelling oud everyone is gushing about here. It's a decent oud accord with a freshness up top, but it is pretty nasty if you overspray, and for me it does smell quite synthetic. I'm OK with that, as I couldn't imagine getting real oud for this price, but just be aware if you're planning to blind buy, it's not the ultimate cheap real oud holy grail everyone's saying it is. Update: Left it for a while then came back, and goodness me it seems so much better! I agree with the reviewer who said it's like a gentler Epic Man. I much prefer this to Epic Man, it's so refined. When I first received it, it was harsh and I got no florals at all, now it seems sparkly and ethereal and I can really perceive the rose. What an absolute stunner, especially given how cheap it is.

My entry into the world of real oud scents. TBH it took me 2-3 wearings to appreciate this scent. Now, I have really started enjoying this one. This is just an awesome creation by Ajmal! It is fresh oud in the beginning with grapefruit and some florals. Although the funk nature of oud is pretty much present, but compliments well with the freshness from grapefruit and florals. Me and people around me enjoy this scent. TBH, it is pretty linear. One thing to note though is that in the late dry down (after 5-6 hours), it tends to give away some of its freshness to let Oud take the mainstage alongwith some musk. Longevity is great - 12+ hours for me (with 3-4 hours of good projection). PS: For me it is more enjoyable when sprayed on clothes. I apply 4-5 sprays that last me entire day.

Khallab is from the House of Ajmal. Their Mukhallat are too good. Hats off to Ajmal Perfumes they are perfect blenders of Ingredients, In this perfume oil especially Oud is V Soft & Toned out. Citrus gels well Oud, Spices & Floral Notes. The Top begins with a Floral-Fresh-Woody note followed by a Woody-Spicy-Floral in Heart & Base Notes. Can be Worn in All Seasons & Occasions But Ideal for Winter, even can be worn in Summer. Projection & Longevity are V Good. My Rating for this Perfume is 4 out of 5.

This stuff rocks. I love the top and middle. Really like this one. Hard to find but awesome. Update: I wore this all weekend. My 17 and 22 year old sons were with me. They said it was strong but they seemed intrigued by it. They were both wearing it by Sunday. That says a lot as their sense of smell and sensitivity to what does/does not smell good is far superior to mine. Smoke oud and florals will keep your nose busy but relaxed. 8/10 overall. I blind bought this based on your reviews...Thanks!

I just recieved my bottle of Khallab . Seeing one reviewer saying it’s exactly the same or even better than Amir one- not exactly. This is a slightly lower grade oud than Amir one it is indeed louder more explosive. It is Oud right out the gate with rose and spices. It is a lovely fragrance but totally different than Amir One.

This stuff is like a softer epic man or an oriental tsar. brilliant stuff in my opinion. i only detect a soft oud background, so it's not an oud focused fragrance. Small edit: It's divine. Don't buy it, i want all of it for myself.

A beautiful fragrance from the house of Ajmal. I am not a big fan of Ajmal perfumes but this is gem of a fragrance. I got it for 25 US dollars!

Ajmal khallab definitely has the authentic oud note in it, as Ajmal has used their genuine patented oud in this. smells classy with subtle oud notes which are not overwhelming in any manner. This is a highly sophisticated oud perfume which can be worn at any occasion and it will not annoy but enchant the people around. It smells slightly barnyardish but beautiful oud initially, with the grapefruit and muskmelon which is not mentioned in the notes here. The sweetness here is well blended with the oud and isn't sharp and cloying, it is rounded and delightful. Settles down dark spicy oud and with the hints of rose. Overall the perfume is quite a head turner and engaging. 9/10

Marvellous light oud freshie. Opens with a fresh high quality citrus and oud. Grapefruit gives it the fruity twist while rose accord plays in the backgroud. Very unique. Royal and refined. Lightest hint of hindi or indian oud. Lovely looking bottle and good atomiser. You cant get this quality and blend at this price point ever. Layers very well with Shadow 2 by the same house. Probably one of the best from Ajmal - animalic beauty..which turns pleasant after a few hours of wear, love it, but i wont wear it and wont buy it because its got this irritating synthetic rose note 6/10 best for winters 3 sprays max.

This scent is oud, spices and flowers on me, a bit acerbic, and with a strong touch of grapefruit. The grapefruit hides and resurfaces, hides and resurfaces again on my skin.

A recent blind buy and honestly I was expecting a lot more because of the reviews here, especially with the voted similarities with moattaq mukhallat and shams mukhallat. Khallab is NOTHING like moattaq or shams. I'm getting zero citrus and only faint vague florals. The main notes I'm smelling are nondescript spices and some sort of fake pine/cedar scent. Hopefully the bottle just needs a little "airing out" and it will get better. 2023 batch. After receiving my bottle and trying it the first time I tried to understand what I was smelling, no grapefruit, no rose, no oud...... so I looked around online. LMFAO, I've found 4 completely different note listings for Khallab! Ajmal site #1: patchouli, jasmine, rose, saffron. Ajmal site #2: yellow melon, ylang ylang, tonka beans, floral, woody amber. Ajmal sit #3: jasmine, saffron, sandalwood, patchouli, amber, musk, oud. Resellers: grapefruit, rose, woody notes, oud, spices. I'm sure I could find other variations if I looked around more. I've never seen such a thing. Anyway, I was really hoping for a grapefruit-oud similar to moattaq or shams. Can't win them all I guess.

The powers of eloquence fail to describe the sophisticated beauty of this juice. First with the bottle. The usual Ajmal attention to detail is apparent from its heavy, multifaceted, modern and chic take on the usual Oriental design to the dark brown moc croc box it comes with. The oil itself is amazing. On paper it starts off woody, a touch funky, spicy with just a hint of citrus to freshen oud up. Oud here runs the show with the rest of the notes there to highlight and accentuate its magnificence. The slight camphoric and smoky property on paper continues for a very long time while Rose and grapefruit are kept in check. On skin it blooms to a sultry marvel. Smoke and spices soften, rose gives a creamy quality and oud after a while turns smoky and very balsamic. This is the phase that I particularly like. It evokes a kind of manliness, it's not masculine, or batch, just very erotic, like a man's clean warm skin that has been exposed to smoke and woods. Not wanting to lower the tone of this great Forum I will just say that to smell this oil on a man would be enough to turn my knees to jelly, however, a woman could pull this off easily. This phase lasts very long, to my delight, and considering the fact that my skin absorbs perfume like mad I would say that longevity and sillage are phenomenal. Ajmal has pulled another stunner here and Khallab can easily be a great addition to anyone's wardrobe who love Oud.

This is a very expensive smelling, high quality fresh oud for men and women. It somewhat reminds me on Mukhallat al Shams but this fragrance is less potent, less animalic and way more citrusy in the best way possible. If you need a max. one spray of Mukhallat al Shams (and maybe even that one spray is more appropriate when you spray it on your clothes the day before you want to wear it), you can spray your average 2-3 sprays of this scent without offending people around you, but to appreciate the scent, you must absolutely love oud. The grapefruit, the oud, the spices and flowers all smell very natural, certainly, you can't expect real materials at this pricepoint but the most tasteful and masterful take and blending of synthetics are presented here. The final blend is highly addictive, I can't stop hunting for the traces of my own perfume while moving around. I have the spray version, most probably the oil is even better. The beautiful, heavy metal ornamented bottle is a piece of art on its own, too.

After purchasing this as a blind purchase, I was a little disappointed, but wanted to live with it for a few days before leaving a review. My thoughts on the fragrance - it's sweet, floral, spicy, very pleasing. It projected well after the first spray and dry down, but then it disappeared. Within 2 hours my nose had to be pressed against my skin to smell it. This is contradictory to many of the other comments. I thought I had a bad skin day, so I tried Amouage Jubilation on one hand and Khallab on another. It's an unfair comparison, as they're at 2 different price points, but I just wanted to compare longevity and projection. Jubilation hung around for 12 hours plus, after 2 hours, I could only smell Khallab, nose to skin. It's a very pleasant fragrance and although I wasn't looking for something with beast mode performance, the closeness of the fragrance, silage and longevity, left me a little disappointed. I suspect I have a bad batch, but I see lots of potential and will work with it!

Got this yesterday and was excited to try it on. I already have a lot of fragrances from Gulf manufacturers so I sort of knew what i was about to experience; Oud , wood and rose. It started out strong and potent ( nothing world shattering ) like so many of the scents from this area. Then something strange happened. The trade mark of oud ́s is that they tend to stay on ones skin FOREVER.....in this case....after three ours it was totally gone. CSI might be able to detect a trace but for my nose it was gone with the wind. Quite strange! This is just amazing. The oud in this smells so addictive and smooth, i can’t stop spraying it. And it feels very natural. It is a very soft, warm and pleasant oud smell with some bright citruses that make it very easy to wear even in the summer. Longevity is excellent, projection is soft. You will not bother anyone. At first I didn’t understand it very well, but after 3-4 tries I fell in love with it. Absolutely unisex. Well done Ajmal!

One of my fav Ajmal..main reason itlasts extremely well and sillage is fantastic . It gives a feeling of Taif Rose because of lemony note . Oud seems of good quality synthetic or real only experts can judge. But it's nice and unique .. must try !!

Oud, grapefruit, musk. Exotic & classy. This is strong & pungent. The citris blended with the oud is unique & animalic. World class.

A beautiful citrus fragrance of oud, rose, and jasmine with sandalwood, patchouli, amber, musk, and warm saffron.

This is one of the few from my entire collection that I backed up recently. Nice frangrance.

Versatile rose Oud combo. Oud is not skanky. Overall very pleasant.
