Long Island Sunset

Big love. Amazing in hot weather. Reminds me of an airier Miliseme Imperial from Creed, like if they did a “Cologne” version of MI like they did with Aventus Cologne. Or maybe like if Calvin Klein put out a CK1 flanker with a MI vibe/inspiration, if you can picture that. But in general this does have a Calvin Klein style. Very bright lemon in the opening then the watermelon rind becomes more apparent. The jasmine is somewhat noticeable at first then becomes more dominant, but it’s not real jasmine which is much more heavy and indolic, this jasmine is very transparent and airy, probably just hedione or some other synthetic compound. It’s the same jasmine note that’s in Falling in Love from Philosophy. Completely unisex, but in the drydown most guys would say it leans femme.

This is really good. It came as a sample in a big order from FragranceNet. I will definitely be purchasing the big bottle. It has that virgin island water and wave child DNA. It’s really nice very easy to wear.

It’s surprisingly good. Starts leaning a bit feminine (just barely) but it’s balanced by the aromatic dry notes. The lemon is quite prominent at first, joining the jasmine but as I said, the orris, Pachouli and vetiver create a barrier that stops the ‘feminine’ notes to take over. A really nice fragrance, I personally find it more attractive than similar perfumes like Light Blue. Perfect for spring/summer. Give it a try.

I received a sample, and it's not objectively bad! The opening is reminiscent of the smell of a Long Island iced tea (hence the name?), which is not something I aspire to smell like. Despite the listed notes being on the fresh side, this one becomes more heavy, sweet and powdery once it settles. The dry down is fairly masculine-leaning. This is perhaps best suited for individuals who like to party or have never stopped partying. ;)
