Mizyaan

Ajmal Mizyaan is a true form of oriental perfumery that one can easlily find in the market. It is an unmistakable saffron attar. Saffron is present in top, middle and base notes. However, it is supported with a very good quality, potentially genuine mysore sandalwood oil. This harmony of sandal-saffron deserves a big shoutout. Marvellous.. Then beautiful floral bouquet and spices, presented the way you can find in most beautiful shamama attars. Transitions of all these notes are so smooth and effortless. In the later stages welcomes you Ajmal’s amber accord: sweet, syrupy and exciting. It completes the symphony in the most elegant way and lingers for hours. I am not praising this blend without a reason. No commercial or niche perfume house gives you an experience like Mizyaan without charging you 5-10 times more. Yes, the bottle looks a little tacky and its cheap, however, this is the best bang for your buck if you are fond of genuine natural materials in your perfume. Hats off to the perfumer and Ajmal as a company for this offering.

after all the reviews below that nailed this all i can add is that if you look for a unisex fragrance or like me a rose scent that fits man this is a brillient scent its butifull very good quality the top can almost remind me of lichi but come to a smoky rose with a little bit of a burnt motor oil like feel that support the rose like a true master piece after 15 minutes its start to blend on your skin to a kind of a creamy silk smooth clean scent this should be hiped also for its beastie performence and such a butifull scent that it is..great great quality. .im a 37 y.o man its wonderfull bright light sweat scent. enjoy. Performence is a loud 2-3 hours but then Its gives you a nice scent bubble for a good 12 hours- weeks on clothes ... The silage is hugh for a long time this scent is addictive to me.

Wow! Instant love! Finally a use of saffron wherein the saffron is present throughout the scent duration without being a soliflore. I love the opening grapefruit-rose-saffron combo! It dries down to a smooth ambery smell of heaven too! I don’t really sense musk or ambergris, although the scent is quite creamy at times so maybe that’s the contribution there. So many saffron scents are really more rose-focused...this one has a better balance between the citrus, the rose, and spice! My wife liked it: nearly a first with my attars haha!

This is sooo beautiful, creamy, a bit sweet smokey, not overly, it’s so long-lasting and develops beautifully throughout day , what a nice creation ajmal , Bravo

Sweet creamy saffron milk, changes into musky sandalwood later after a few hours. Dont go on european reviews, they dont know what saffron really is.

Starts with Nice Sweet Smell with of Notes with Floral mixed Spices slowly turns towards Floral Musky as Spicy Notes fades away finally in the end Woody Notes & Amber Comes to play) Amber here is Ambergris & Woody Notes are of Sandalwood. I get Lily & White Floral whips here & there along with Rose. Mizyaan means Beautiful in Arabic, As name suggests its a Beautiful Perfume Oil and comes in Beautiful Perfume Bottle. Quality, Presentation, Bottle Shape is Good & Worth its Humble Price. Projection & Longevity is Good considering that its Oil not Spray. Its Unisex Perfume Oil. My Rating is 3.6 out of 5

I'm in love with this oil based fragrance. Everyone here defined the beauty of this attar on point. No doubt about that. I saw review of Perfume Guru - Nikhil and Yesterday I visited a local shop (al-haramain) in my city and tried it. They have an option of decanting various fragrance so i got small bottle of it. The only thing bothers me is that its longevity, which I get only around 4 to 5 hours. But many say they are getting around 12+ hours of longevity. Some how mine fades away after 5 hours or so. I don't know what's wrong. I wish it stayed a little longer on my skin.

I bought this in Dubai after testing many other creations of Ajmal. It is very light fragrance, super long lasting; I can wear it all day long then take a shower and next morning I can still detect it on my skin, and my clothes, possible because this is oil. My husband loves this one more than any other fragrances. On my skin it smells mostly floral with light wood and barely any spices, not sweet at all. I also don't think it changes throughout the day, maybe becomes a bit more woodsy but still mostly floral. I think it is very elegantly energetic.

I had such high hopes for this one after reading the rave reviews. For me, it’s a non-offensive, very wearable, Arabian fougere. It leans slightly more masculine with an Old Spice, freshly shaved vibe. I’m not too aware it’s on me (even though I put it on liberally) and it’s not moving me in any way. It took me a while to realise what it reminds me of: Tom Ford’s Fougere D’Argent. It has the same sage green fern, woody, spicy, modern fougere element. This is playing its card’s right to walk the line of complete social acceptance. Unfortunately, I’m now looking to be utterly amazed, rather than simply unmoved.

All I smell is oud... a dry oud

I was waiting for this with more anticipation than Carla and Nick's wedding in Coronation Street.... There is musk alright,smoky, deep, spicy, the barnyard kind. I don't know why it reminded me of sheep... It brought to mind when I was a little girl at my grandparents home in the countryside. Though by that time grandad had sold the animals and some land to pay for his kids education (so they could become Dentists and Doctors telling me irritatingly what to do to live longer, as if....), he used to take me round to his mates farms in the village and I could distinctly smell clean, well fed sheep. Now, the sheep smell goes away after half an hour replaced by sheepskin, spice and wood. This phase is still extremely smoky and spicy, very woody and lasts a great deal. Only hours later the floral notes become a bit more apparent, wood, a faint spice and flowers. Longevity is of Olympic proportions, soap and water won't shift the stuff, sillage too. Mizyaan has all the Hallmarks of Ajmal, oriental authenticity, aroma, spiciness, smoke, longevity, sillage, quality! I really like it, just use sparingly.

This is a fragrance that I needed time to learn to appreciate but now it's one of my favourites. First: this is very potent and longlasting, a superb value for your money. The scent itself is very traditional oriental, lots of musk, amber and saffron with spices, dried fruits and some nutty undertone.It is sligthly green and I agree that it has fouguere qualities, too. It is totally unisex, maybe leaning towards masculine for the western perception. If I compare it to other saffron-dominant mid-eastern fragrances, I will say it is juicier and sweeter than Khaltat al Khasa from Rasasi and much finer and smoother than Lak EDp from Al Haramain. It is very uplifting, even cheerful in my opinion while Khaltat al Khasa is more serious, dark and spiritual and Lak edp is more edgy and smoky. Certainly, they layer beautifully together. You need only one drop for the whole day, so be careful even if you become anosmic to it, others will smell your beautiful fragrance around you.

Review update. Well, Mizyaan has slowly opened up a lot of facets to me now. I get a blast of grapefruit and rose in the beginning. A blast of citrus laden thick and red Indian rose. It is not the taif. There s a sudden surge of a very creamy and woody sandalwood within minutes and hints of white floral in the background giving it slight soapiness. Then comes the hay tobacco like smoky spice from the saffron its excellent. The whole affair becomes smoother within 30 minutes and shines beautifully like a spicy rose amber sandalwood combo on the skin with great projection and sillage. Very good scent. I feel it's unisex but also behaves greatly on a man's skin due to the citrus aspect. My overall rating taking price into consideration would be 7/10. This should appeal to most attar lovers who can take citrus in attars.

Smells absolutely fabulous! I can't tell you what is it exactly but the blend is just a masterpiece.Perhaps,the best way to define it is by calling it Arabic Fougere. Mizyaan smells modern and fresh.One or two dabs in your neck will last the whole day, monster longevity, sillage, quality.Today I got a compliment in a supermaket from a lady and in rural Ireland this is very unusual to aproach a male in a supermarket and ask what is he wearing. A must have in your wardrobe.Aphrodisiac.Unisex.

Mizyaan in it's Beautiful ornate bottle is indeed eye-catching. Here the floral notes speak volumes & the musk peaks out at you from the start. On my skin the drydown is all about the ambergris & wood, which I love. I find it nice enough but the musk bothers me a bit . Definitely test before you buy. Yes, Sweet floral & a bit woodsy. Strangely on my skin I detect no heavy spices perhaps only a bit of sweet cinnamon. It's definitely pleasant but there is better out there from Ajmal.

I've been looking for him for a long time. I already have it and it does what I imagined. Oud present throughout, I also thought "And that's it?" After an hour, other components appeared. But what kind? hmm...I don't know yet, but I can smell a hint of citrus, flowers. I will definitely investigate further. Ofaruk@ Thanks for the words you used to describe Mizyaan. i got this beauty in dubai, very lovely with a good dry down, it's a mix of floral, woody and musky notes. At first trial, i didn't like the floral top note but as the fragrance develops after a few minutes, the real musky and woody scent emerges. For someone who was recently bitten by the middle-eastern perfume bug, this is a good one to start with because it is not too strong.

This opens with a very plasticky feel. There seems to be something slightly fruity in this as well. Not much to say about this one really.
