Muhja

This scent is a lighter version of Mukhallat Dahnal Al Oudh Moattaq on me. If that scent is Morgan le Fay who isn't a girl, but a woman, Muhja is a younger Morgan le Fay for me, there's more air in the scent, there are seashores where she walked, maybe, when she lived in a world of magic, full of wondrous things, and learnt her art. However... I smell potion-making experiments of the young Morgan, too, they are herbal, dense, somewhat acerbic. Enjoying the scent a lot.

Beautiful compositions between white floral mixed very well with sandalwood. Middle east + French style reminds me of Amouage’s concept. Adding a little hint of Dahn al oudh makes Muhja more desirable. A must try from Ajmal for oriental lover and yes the price is very very reasonable.

I’ve finally got my hands on Ajman’s ‘Muhja’ after wanting it for so long, since I’m a glutton for jasmine. At first impression, it’s very unusual and very unique. It’s sweet, but also sour-faecal and vintage all-in-one. Ambergris is such an unusual animal byproduct - sweet, dry, so weird but so alluring, like something taboo that you shouldn’t be smelling but you keep coming back for cheeky sniffs. Top points for uniqueness, as it’s like nothing else. It has a similar transparent sweetness to it as Baccarat Rouge 540. It dries down like Boadicea The Victorious ‘Imperial’ (possibly due to the labdanum). It’s not floral enough to be overly feminine, it could be considered a musky male scent as it’s reminiscent of Mugler’s original A*Men. The dry-down is a semi-sweet musk. The jasmine didn’t feature enough for me. ‘Muhja’ is like an award winning foreign movie, really well made, with an unusual concept, but you leave the cinema confused and overwhelmed. ‘Muhja’ is what I imagine to be the scent that Jean-Baptiste Grenouille makes in the novel ‘Perfume’ - mysterious, powerful, familiar, alluring, carnal but inauspicious.
