Musk Silk Supreme

I picked this up this year on holiday in Phuket. I didn't realise until I got home to Australia, that it's so hard to find here. It would have to be the most clean girl musky beautiful scent in my over 100 bottle collection. I absolutely adore it. I reach for it so much that I feel guilty for not using other bottles I've paid much more money for. I didn't think I liked lily of the valley but it must be what makes me crave this. If I could buy this easily, I would have 4 back up bottles. 100% recommend. Big huge love from me.

This is one of the very few perfumes I've tested where you can simply smell lily-of-the-valley. It's powdery, a little lemony, and overall linear — essentially a hyper green-white musk. It smells clean, easy for anyone to wear at any time, in any month. It's enough to simply like musk, since it doesn't really transform much. That linearity is part of its character: a soft, polished musk with a clear flowery-laundry airy impression. Its main weakness is its strength. It's so faint that you have to heavily overspray for it to become noticeable. But when you do, something odd happens in the deep drydown. I start to smell pepper, so strongly that at one gathering I thought it was someone else's perfume nearby, something like Asad. Alongside that, there's also something that reminds me of the water left in a vase after flowers, and at moments it morphs into a correction fluid. The performance is weird in an interesting way. Up close, it's barely perceptible, yet from farther away it becomes steady and noticeable. For example, I had a shirt sprayed in another room, and I could smell it clearly from that distance. Longevity is very good. It's not too similar to musky CPOs by Al Haramain. I also have Musk Is Great, and it's similar in overall concept. But if even this one feels fairly artificial and fantasy-like, then Zimaya is worse in that particular case. It has a 3.12 rating, though it's not actually that bad. I'll try to review it too. The bottle is beautiful and perfectly fits the theme. It's priced too highly for a still not-too-natural musk. I'd like Supreme to be stronger and a little richer. Even with its limitations, it remains an unusual entry in this style, and if you enjoy soft musk scents, it has its own charm. If you’ve ever used the classic pink Ponds body powder in Asia, the overall vibe here will feel instantly familiar. The fragrance opens with a sharp burst of Lily of the Valley wrapped in a noticeable alcoholic brightness. It is clean, airy, and unapologetically powdery right from the start. As the fragrance settles, the heart transitions into a soft powdery musk accord that you often find in women's makeup that feels extremely wearable and understated. On my skin, however, performance was modest .Within an hour it became more of a close skin scent than a projecting fragrance. Curious to see if heavier application would improve the experience, I wore it more generously the following day. That is when the dry down revealed an interesting twist. Beneath the clean musk sits a damp woody nuance that reminds me of wet bamboo left out in the sun to dry. Not moldy or unpleasant in any way...more like freshly soaked bamboo sticks prepared for a barbecue. It carries that flat airy, wet-wood character, but without the creamy warmth usually associated with sandalwood. This was to my nose but on asking my SO she said its still the pleasant powdery musk from previous day. Overall, I would rate this an 8/10. It succeeds remarkably well as a unisex, office-safe, and healthcare-friendly fragrance. Clean, soft, non-intrusive, and comforting... exactly the kind of scent profile that works in professional environments without overwhelming anyone around you.

Really decent, very strong unisex musk that can be layered or worn alone. It's very clean and barely floral. For a more vanillic musk, try Eternal Musk by Paris Corner.
