Qafiya 08

Surprised no one has reviewed this yet. What I'm getting from this fragrance mainly is amber, woods, and iris, predominantly. There's a punch of amber on opening, with the woods following about 5 minutes later. The iris slowly infiltrates into the composition as it dries into the mid. The iris will stay for the duration along with the amber and woods. Now, I really didn't get any of the fruits like orange or bergamot. But I did get some saffron on the opening as this scent did carry a spicy leathery nuance. This impression is from a newly opened bottle, so the strength could improve, but this hung out for about 6 hours...likely to improve. I believe this line commemorated the World Cup at Qatar per the advertisement from Ajmal. I don't know if other fragrances that smells like this, so its unique to my ~250 fragrance collection. If any of those fruits appear during the maturation process, that will also add more dimension to this fragrance. Will return once this has chilled a bit in dark space. 1/29/2026: Ok, so the longevity for this is around 7 to 8 hours, maybe a bit more. But this is the range after sitting close to a month. The amber is still fairly resinous at the beginning but smoothens out better as it drys.
