Qafiya 1

This is an excellently blended and calming woody sweet fragrance. Upon spraying on my skin I smelled something quite familiar that reminded me of both a western masculine niche perfume and a western feminine perfume I had smelled but when the extravaganza of rich notes started solidifying I was now more aware of what this reminded me of. It smelled like La Nuit Tresor by Lancôme as it begun to dry and I was becoming increasingly worried about this transformation because I already have La Nuit Tresor but then something great happened...! Where Tresor becomes more fruity somewhat playful and stickily synthetic Ajmal Qafiya 1 stops just shy of this at the patchouli woody stage a glorious relief indeed. This backbone is what reminded me of tresor - a rich patchouli, subtly chocolate-like, sensation with glassy sugary florals that are nicely rounded by woods. This smells like a fragrant or perfumed piece of oily wood something calming and Christmas-like in profile, a scent that you'd find in the lobby of a luxury furniture store or restaurant that invites guests inside. Due to the woody profile this acts like a more mature and unisex fragrance that smells superior, smoother and in general more natural when compared to the feminine designer. Some of its masculine profile smells slightly like Red Tobacco from Mancera without the polarizing syrupy spiciness that can come across as pungent, or aggressive to some wearers. Qafiya 1 is the better blended of these two fragrances and doesn't feel aggressive at all traveling quite alluringly and slowly in the air. This is a very soft scent profile but it is strong lasting for hours with extensive sillage that smells totally pleasing but will probably waft around you and distract you if you were sitting in one place trying to concentrate on work - it does seem jealous like a cat and vie for attention in this way. I would recommend this for going out situations, running errands, or probably to hangout with friends or your significant other. I think it could be a good signature scent if you enjoy smelling yourself every now-and-then throughout your wearing to be reminded that you smell gorgeous. I've been doing a lot of reviews on fragrances I like. I think it's time to review some of my not so favorable ones. 9/10

Ajmal Qafiya 1. MASTERPIECE!! It's amusing actually because I absolutely hated this fragrance the first time I wore it. I literally scrubbed it off 5 minutes after spraying it. It smelled like powder and plastic ass crack mixed with saffron and musk. Patience is a virtue with this phenomenal fragrance. I wore it last week because I always wear a fragrance one last time before selling it to make sure I don't want to keep it. Im glad I do this and this is exactly the reason why. After about 20 minutes of drying down, this fragrance morphs into the most beautiful saffron and woody fragrance I ever smelled. It has a hay like scent mixed with powdery musk and saffron floral that doesn't give up!! The longevity is something to behold because it's in no way overbearing or cloying. I could see this scaring away some men but it's definitely unisex. The patchouli keeps it anchored well into the masculine. This fragrance works for whatever, whenever. It's classy enough to wear on a night out yet gentle enough to wear it to work. As far as compliments go..... Be prepared for everyone stopping you and asking what you have on. Very strange since this smells and performs like a niche fragrance but attracts the crowd like designer. I rate this 5 out of 5 stars. It's an absolute ridiculous deal and like always, Ajmal doesn't hold back from quality ingredients. I think this is better than BR540 in every aspect. Clearly the saffron is the most powerful note in this one and the musk gives it a powdery essence that is absolutely amazing. The rose isn't very prominent but if you strain you can smell it. Like I said...... Worst opening EVER. Trust me though.... Wait.

Soft hay and rose note at dry down. Sillage close to skin with moderate longevity. 7 of 10 over all. Update: today I walked in a store and several ladies demanded that I give them the name of what I was wearing. I was surprised because I couldn't get no sillage when applied to skin so I used three sprays on shirt and it pushes out a scent cloud of hay, rose and some sweetness. After complete testing: Scent 8, sillage 8, longevity 9. Not a good blind buy. Update: every time I wear this juice it's a Big Compliment getter. Woodsy, hay and spicey. Again great longevity with 4 sprays neck and chest. Really liking this

If you read the notes - no surprise, nothing new or exciting. But I gave it a try today and I love it! It is very soft rose and white flowers with lovely amber and mild wood. The saffron in the begging gives it slightly medical nuance, but for a very while. I am surprised how such soft fragrance could be so long-lasting.

It is an incredible scent. you get tons of complements. It is a unique scent with great longevity. Projection/sillage is equally good.

To quickly summarise... The longest lasting fragrance that still manages to be sheer like a sophisticated feminine veil. It’s like Aventus for Her but with the chewy, woody patchouli of Boadicea the Victorious ‘Imperial’. Please wait past the synthetic plasticky sweet opening, after 30 minutes the airy patchouli woody wonder is revealed.

A very soft, woody, spicy, ambery saffron and rose, with a somewhat haylike drydown. The medicinal-type patchouli is forward in the beginning, then falls back within 1/2 hour, to an hour, as the vanillic amber comes forward, and the rose falls back, too, which is light to begin with. If you dislike the soft medicinal opening, I encourage waiting it out for the payoff. Unlike other Arabic woody saffron and rose perfumes, this is very light and not at all overbearing. It is soft and whispery and close to skin, and then warms up in the drydown, projecting a bit more, and I imagine it would do really well when warmed up on a hot day. Someone below says this is like TF Tobacco Vanille, and I think that’s misleading. There is no tobacco at all, and no vanilla, and it’s not a powerhouse perfume. I can see the similarity only in the haylike quality and the vanillic amber, but it does not smell like Tobacco Vanille. This smells a lot more like Palace d’Ambre to me, but softer and more pillowy.

I got Qafiya 1 Tester which is Day Version & Qafiya 2 which is Night Version, when i Brought other Dahn Al Oudh Products. This perfume was made by Emirati team of Ajmal keeping Arabic Culture in Mind. It opens Spicy Floral with the Top Notes are Saffron, Orange Blossom and Rose, Middle Notes or Heart Notes are Amber and Woody Notes Base Notes are Woody Notes, Patchouli and Musk. All Notes are Well Mixed, Ajmal is V Good in Mixing even the Complex Notes. All Notes are Soft & Not Loud. Unisex Perfumes Suitable for Both Men & Women. Longevity & Projection is V Good. Can be worn whole year. Packing & Bottle Presentation is Good. Will definitely buy this Product Soon. My Rating is 4.0 out of 5.

Qafiya 01 opens somewhat sharp, like a shiny blade of an Arabian sword, thanks to a penetrating musk, with an animalic touch. Fortunately, this opening lasts very little and the musk gradually dissipates into a seductive melange of spices and aromatic wood. The perfume warms up, the woody aroma seems to sweeten and, although it is not listed, I feel quite strongly an undertone of coffee, freshly roasted coffee beans. Qafiya will thus project good hours, and on clothes for days, without being disturbing or overwhelming. It can be worn anytime, day or night, in the colder period. It is superb!

Qafiya smells like Tom ford's tobacco vanille, very long lasting! if you spray on your cloths it will stay for atleast 2 days,its amazing.

It is 99% similar with Afnan Wadi Al Dahaab, which ia cheaper and with great lasting power and projection.
