Shadow Amor

A good vanilla powdery scent with some aquatic feel to it, I find this a very romantic scent, cozy but very clean. I don't find this particularly memorable but very safe clean scent, I like it, but not sure if I will ever buy it, love the bottle though.

With Shadow Amor Homme I was expecting a strong, sweet, rich, spicy blend. What it actually smells like is a very light powdery, citrusy - aquatic scent. It is very clean and soapy, and reminds me a lot of Midnight in Paris mixed with Nautica Voyage but not very strong and with very low sillage. It is nice and fresh but I think would be much more accurately presented in a “blue aquatic” type bottle. The scent reminds me a lot of freshly laundered clothes – i.e. the scent left behind by fabric softener or dryer sheets. I Bought Shadow Amor Homme as a blind buy due to the fact that I have Ajmal Shadow (which is excellent and a beast - and I like beast mode scents) and I liked Amor Homme’s unique red bottle - which usually indicates a sweet, spicy oriental type fragrance. However, the scent is completely different than the red bottle and flanker status would suggest (The original Shadow is strong, woody, smoky and ambery Incense and Amor Homme bears no resemblance to the original Shadow at all) Shadow Amor would be good to wear in the office or at the gym and certainly is not overpowering. It could easily be unisex and I think even leans toward the feminine side, and ladies would do well wearing this (I don’t know how it compares to Shadow Amor Femme however). I am a little disappointed, but for the price I paid - $22 I really can't complain. Probably would not buy again though, since the performance is mediocre and there are so many other frags that hit these similar citrus - aquatic notes and perform better as well. It is an interesting addition to my collection nonetheless.
