Shiro

Spicy, aquatic, salty, woody, and very effervescent. Got a sample of this with another fragrance purchase. Liked the sample of this more than the fragrance I ordered in the first place. Bought a full bottle the next day. About $20 for a fragrance...that people here totally shit on, that has almost overnight rocketed into my top 20. Just goes to show, one mans' trash is a another mans' treasure...

Ajmal - Shiro (2018) This is a 1:1 clone of Issey Miyake - Leau Majeure Dissey (2017). Super salty, animalic, and marine. Lots of ambergris. I was expecting this to be more like Leau Dissey Pour Homme, but surprised when i first smelled it after blind buying it. Im a huge fan of Majeure, so thats a win. I love this one, and its also a beast mode performer.

It’s fresh and sweet also strong enough to fill a room it’s way better to smell it in the air because in close up some people will find it very strong and annoying Longevity is also good Projection is also strong Silage is also good And it’s versatile you can wear it in every situation

I know everyone has different noses, but to me, this opens and dries down like the original Acqua di Giò Eau De Toilette from around 2000 to 2005, but a bit stronger.

Smells awesome Perfect for summer Not a direct clone of anything

A very unconventional aquatic freshie that opens up with an unusual greenish/woody backbone, yet at the same times it stays true to its aquatic nature. It is like greenish forest watery rather than an oceanic aquatic. The best analogy that I can give is that it is a cucumber-like aquatic, if that makes sense? The mid brings out slight peppery spice accord in the mix and the amber and musk in the base give it a good soft sweetness. That being said, make no mistake there is nothing actually sweet like bubblegummy bullshit here, which makes me like this even more. Performance is quite good, it lasts 6-7 hours on my skin with fairly loud (for a freshie) projection in the first hour and a half to 2 hours, keep a decent scent bubble subsequently. The bottle is a little weird, difficult to hold and can easily be knocked off owing to the slim yet wide body of the bottle, but I like the frosted glass feel and it would can be easier to carry in the bag.

i personally really like this i don’t get the hate, it’s just a simple fresh fragrance. i will say that it has a very subtle almost yeast like note that could definitely turn some people off.

Ajmal Shiro is a powerful and unique fragrance! I absolutely love it. It was my first fragrance to receive a compliment. The spicy notes are very prominent.

This is a very bias review just for the fact that in the mid all the way to the dry down has a particular note that I just don't like, I wish I was able to pin point it but its a flower note, rose or violet but they are not listed as ingredients here so what do I know. All I can say is that I own 212 VIP Black and the dry down is almost identical.

Few fragrances have ever caused me to have some sort of allergic reaction, but this never failed to give me weird coughing fits with lots of bronchial mucus. (A gross observation, but I thought it was necessary.) That aside, it smells like a bunch of dead roses that have been soaking in the most aquatic water note I've ever smelled. I don't like it, personally. It may be unique, but it's cloying and way too rose-forward. Also, the sweetness comes off too synthetic for my tastes. I guess that's why "fruity notes" is listed, rather than anything specific. While the performance is great, I can't justify walking around smelling like some rose-obsessed old woman's florilegium. Not good, guys. There's better rose dominant frags out there for a better bargain.

the wood note is pretty mild here. overall scent profile is similar to Hawas or Invictus, fruity sweet aquatic with ambroxan overdose. unlike Hawas though, Shiro lacks any complexity and subtlety. it smells very cheap and one dimensional, like hairspray or second-hand clothes freshener. it's trying to be pleasing but only succeed in being cloying and obtrusive. th3 fact it has very persistent longevity makes it only worse. unlike other UAE fragrances, Shiro has very poor bang for the buck ratio

Very loud and long lasting fragrance. I was amazed by how good it performs.

Smells like if you mixed Splenda with hot water and then threw it into a mahogany cupboard full of dried roses One of the most intensely cloying scents I've ever come across. Extremely hard to wash off It's possible some people might like this, and the performance would be a huge bonus for them, but for me this was a bad blind buy, gave it away and would never repurchase

Wowcha! This smells like Lattafa Maahir Legacy to my nose. Not exactly the same but similar. Shiro definitely reminds me of the Issey Miyake lineup for sure. We all know how most fragrances in IM's lineup smell alike, and for me, apart from the original Issey Miyake the others have just been meh. Shiro did initially give me a bit of headache with each sniff in the opening but as it dries down, the masculine edge begins to emerge stronger and stronger, the headache inducing attribute also fades a little, and certainly the Issey Miyake curse palpably lingers - not in a bad way, but it just lingers. Overall, for the price, man this is a good one. At the risk of sounding snobbish or even conceited, I must say that my nose has outgrown generic fresh fragrances like this, so it's not one I see myself wearing a lot or at all, except maybe when I've let loose some nasty foul gas at the rear end of me twin-cheeks and want to neutralise the smell before someone enters my room. Definitely for the much younger generation, or anyone that's just about smelling gym-fresh!

This is a very interesting fragrance, not sure what to make of it. It's definitely bright, and aquatic, but there is a musk like quality that kinda overwhelms the fragrance. I still need more time with it to know if I like that musk or not, but it's not unpleasant. It gives me Kenzo vibes as the closest thing I can compare it to. I never tried maieure, so I can't comment on it. There's definitely spice in it, which has an interesting play with the water notes. This isn't your typical aquatic, in fact I would say this is more of a late 90's early 2000's type of fragrance where houses and perfumers didn't all smell the same and were looking for tried and true profiles. It does gives off synthetic semi melon vibes which gives it an airy feel but there is also a sharpness to it. Again I need more wears, but for under 30 bucks this isn't bad at all. And the bottle and box are beautiful presentation a la Issey. Edit: On skin the musk isn't as pronounced and the "melon" note comes alive. For the price, this is a nice scent.

(Writing this review in the same manner in which the scent was created) Clean. Non descript. Fresh. Easy Reach. Lasts. Is what it is. Basic. Decent. Cheap. Too simple to rate. Wear it to the gym. You'll offend no one. If you can save 75 cents a month, you can own it. Literally saw this for $7.99 at a discounted in town. The only thing I find sad is that there are much more expensive scents that smell like this and for them, that's not good. (Shrugging while looking for something to wow this nose. Look at my shelf and recommend something to knock my socks off PLEASE)

Let me tell you something, I despise aquatics. I cannot stand calone, seaweed, and I own maybe 2 aquatics. This is a good aquatic that I would not only wear, I would shower in. It smells like an italian-cologne-take on Invictus Aqua 2016 without having that disgusting eggy-bubblegum that you find in aquatic/bubblegummy perfumes. You get way more than your moneys worth. Scent your car with it, your clothes, your family, the homeless! Buy 10 give them out as gifts! the masses will love it. Longevity is about 5 hours but maaaan it smells divine!

Fresh, Spicy, and Powdery. Aquatic After smelling PDM Galloway, this may not be a clone of it but this one has that profile. You will need to wait for this one to mature it can be off putting when you first smell it. But it last really long. I get about 2hrs of solid projection, and 8-10hrs of longevity. These are really cheap at discounters. I believe I paid $16-$18 on fragrance net. At that price its a cheapy gem. Enjoy

Apparently, I'm the only one based on the previous reviews, but I have Shiro and Toy Boy side by side at my desk, and they're remarkably similar. If you like TB, this one is a great substitute. Since TB is already cheap AF, I can't recommend Shiro over it, but for those of us who love TB you can't go wrong here.

The initial spray/smell gives me a temporary, but actual headache, and the odor reminds me of Axe body sprays and stuff. After this, it is another of those blue “aquatic” smells. The performance is much better than Kuro, but Im again glad that I only have a decant.

Presence of synthetic oud (mancera type) is well observed but it is not listed here. The opening is spicy aquatic and drydown is what i like most, pink pepper + woody notes + aqua > nice experience at this price range.

Imagine reading spicy notes and woody notes twice each on the note breakdown and then finding out it smells like invictus.

Same like UOMO ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA but more woody. 10/7
