Tempest

Oh My God! finally Tempest has joined this site! I love this scent. It is my dream come true. I have always been on a hunt and waiting to add my signature, this is it! Coming to the scent, it is very complex that has a tobacco vibe which I always look for in my scents. It has this floral green element too, that is truly attractive and appealing. To top it off, best of all I also enjoy the pressed powder make-up like honeyed undercurrent. It is versatile, as it smells green floral in the warm outdoors (possibly summer), and gets fresher with every rising temperature, while in the ac indoors (and possibly winters), it smells oriental with tobacco and amber. The description on the website says it is :- A fragrance designed for the emotional intelligent woman. She is a quietly confident woman who is caring and understanding. Jasmine lends it a floral fortitude enhanced with aqua notes that lend the fragrance an Aqua – Floral top. Orange blossom and vanilla combine to provide a Floral – Musky heart. The base is reinforced by amber and musk to provide woody, oriental musky elements. But wait a minute, maybe this description is of a different version, the one that I own is a concentrated oil in a round glass vail encased in a chocolate brown plastic bottle, golden lettering, with a glass rod attached to the cap. So don't really know if the picture on top contains the same scent oil as the Tempest I bought, as the notes mentioned are different. But I can vouch, the above notes on this site will surely work together to make the exact same scent that I own. So confused with the website description. Sorry for the anti-climax, people. But I know Tempest is my true love!

I own the bottle with the brown round plastic casing and golden letters. Frankly I don't have much to add to unlitcigar's description of the fragrance and I'm considering myself lucky to seemingly still have a bottle of the old formulation. What stood out to me most about this scent is how it somehow manages to be ambery and warm yet fresh at the same time. It's comforting yet energizing. For me it's leaning a bit towards the male spectrum, but I can absolutely imagine a stylish lady who's got her ish together rocking this. She's always impeccably dressed and groomed, she is on top of her game in every aspect of her life and she doesn't take BS from anybody. Spoiler alert, that's not me, even if I'd like it to be so ;) For me personally, it is not a fragrance I would usually gravitate to. I need my fragrances to be a bit more dreamy. But I'm really happy I was able to experience it. Lasting power in the AC for me is around 4 hrs.

The one in plastic bottle, to the best of my knowledge, is very different. This is a very heavy crystal glass, around 1kg and only 30ml of juice =) Exclusive for their Eternal boutique but can be found in few countries as well. Long ago discontinued. Stunning quality sweet oud tobacco. Nothing new yes but the oud makes a big difference. Typical vanilla tobacco with soft, dark and earthy patchouli, some musks and nicely done Indian oud in the base. Oud adds depth and luxurious quality to the blend. Well done.

Beautiful rich fragrance, quintessentially oriental, tobacco amber oud patchouli and rose vibrating all together in a great composition, just brilliant. It's an extrait and it really lasts all day long on your wrists. A couple of sprays and it feels like dry tobacco leaves are covered with rose petals, dry patchouli leaves all mixed with two drops of high quality oud and resins. My version is exactly the same of the picture.
