Wisal Dhahab

I think some of us get to a stage in our fragrance journey when we have tried and tested a lot of fragrances and we eventually feel that it is time to choose a signature scent. I finally found mine and this is it- Ajmal Wisal Dhahab. This is my story connected to this beautiful fragrance. I was introduced to Ajmal about five years ago and I immediately fell in love with the brand. My first Ajmal perfume was Faihaa. Although I love Faihaa they stopped producing it and the scent was very much a winter fragrance of florals, oud and safron. I was also adventurous in trying other Ajmal fragrances and so I ventured out and got a bottle of Wisal Dhahab, that was spring of 2016. Everyone was just starting to get into the deep oriental bandwagon at that time and W.D. was for me very special. What made it more special was I get compliments when I wear it which gave me more reason to use it often. It became my spring 2016 signature scent. I loved this fragrance a lot, I often use this especially on special occasions because my husband, friends and family love the fragrance on me. It has in a way become my scent for a good year. 2017-2019 I went on a rapid fragrance journey- tested, tried and bought lots of fragrances and so my Ajmal bottle sat quietly inside my perfume cabinet waiting for me to notice it again. I occasionally use it but the other new fragrance discoveries always get my attention. Spring of 2020; Since I have a lot of time, I decided to do a spring cleaning. I noticed my Ajmal bottle and I decided to spray some on and right away it reminded me of why I love this beauty. The burst of juicy pear opens up the fragrance. Not overly sweet because the citrus notes balances it. On my skin the fruit notes lingers for a good hour then it evolves into rose and sandalwood cord. This phase lasts for a good 2-3 hours which I absolutely adore. Then it settles into rose and musk for 2 hours. When applied on the fabric it lasts a lot longer. I never over spray my fragrance and for W.D. I only spray 3 times and it projects very well with a good scent trail which lasts for at least 6 hours on my skin. As one reviewer wrote it is a well balanced fragrance. Perfect for any season and occasion and yes perfect for any continent. I have worn this on holidays - from Spain to the Philippines and I get compliments when I wear it. Wisal Dhahab feels like a warm hug for me, it hugs my skin with just the perfect touch of fruit, floral and wood notes. I find that there is both a familiarity and mysteriousness on this fragrance....its like a deja vu. My fragrance journey in a way started with this gem and although I am still discovering new fragrances I finally have come to find a fragrance which defines me, Wisal Dhahab is now part of me.

This is one of the top 5 EDPs in my collection, so be aware of my bias in writing this review. Wisal Dhahab is a wonder that clings to you and evokes dreams of being a 5 ft 10 elegant, white collar woman posing for a fashion magazine front cover... yet it is somehow unisex. The opening is a blast of juicy fruits- pear, apple and the faintest hints of the mandarine orange engulf you. But this is only for a moment as the rose glides in and settles quite wonderfully with the richest sandalwood you could desire. This sandalwood has an incense vibe that becomes pronounced in the dry down, it is a true sandalwood note, oriental in its bearing. If this is called a rose/wood combo, then it would not be telling you the full story of whiffs of geranium and jasmine that you can fully experience if spritzed on ones warm skin, or the musky, woody dry down and that faintest bit of cedar that remains on your skin. The patchouli troubles nothing, it is tamed by the musk. And when many hours have gone by and you put your nose to your perfumed wrist to take a sniff, you will be greeted with the most beautiful, tame, woody rose that you could wish to inhale. This is not a beast-mode fragrance, you can surround yourself with four sprays, but it is so long lasting that I don't see why you'd need five. This is also a versatile fragrance- any season, any time of day. Anytime I apply this fragrance and catch whiffs of it on my skin, all I can exclaim is "Lawd!"

Wisal Dhahab is one of Beautiful Scent from Ajmal Perfumes. Its Sweet, Pleasing, Strong & Stunning are Words to Describe it. Though its Unisex Perfume & can be used by both, Its bends a little towards feminine. Its One of my Top 10 Favorite Perfumes & My Wife too Loves this Perfume V Much. All Notes are well Balanced. The Top begins with a Fruity Fresh as it has Apple, Peach, Pear, Grape Fruit & Mandarin note followed by a Floral, It has Rose, Jasmine, Orchid & Geranium as Heart Notes and Base of Woody Musky as it has Sandalwood, Ceder Wood, Patchouli & Musk as Base Notes. It smells V Exotic & Royal and Its V Affordable by Price, Projection & Longevity & Presentation are Good. Sprayer is Nice and Pours Juice Nicely/ My Rating is 4.5 out of 5. Great Job Ajmal

When I wanted to comment, all my points majorly were similar to @Farouhaa. Still something's I would say, out of all Eastern and Western Perfumes, this one is one of the Greatest perfume I have ever smelt, and best perfume definitely owned. I will lucky to have pass by Dubai Mall of Emirates and buy 7 different juices randomly by testing them all in some minutes like Royal Velvet, Absolute Bright, Carbon, Oudh etc., and coming back here, I realize Wisal is one of the best ever perfume I have ever wore in last 10 years. Though it is floral, but it looks as good on Men as good as female. Damn Luxurious and Sophisticated perfume. I must say, this Arabian scent can be compared and stand by big Parisian juices (Can't take names)

This is an elegant fragrance that has a middle eastern vibe. It has some similarity to a white musk I have in my collection that I bought from the Oud Store in eBay. I forgot the name but compared to this one, this is pretty strong. I would say this frag would be best for age group 30 up I love this as a collector and at times may wear on formal occasions or leisurely at home. But it may be best for a guy to wear this on date nights or evening encounters since it leans a little on the feminine side. But once a confident dude wears this, there’s a magic to it. More of a cold weather scent and the quality of its scent profile is quite impressive. For the price point, this is a bang for your buck. 9/10 😉👍

Working in a school library, surrounded by teenagers, this is the perfume about which I have received the most compliments. In fact, many of the girls asked me for a sneaky spritz of it (and who am I to refuse?). This has HUGE, room-filling sillage and incredible longevity. It is not suitable for most office wear, nor does it suit a shy, retiring character - it WILL GET NOTICED. I don't ascribe gender to perfume (wear what you love), but - if pressed - I'd say it leans feminine. It's not the cheapest from Ajmal, but it's truly in a class of its own, being of outstanding quality, which puts many more expensive niche perfumes to shame. Very highly recommended if you love rich, sexy rose perfumes.

Wow bought this because of youtube reviewer joy amin and i am very impressed with this fragrance. I get a sweet raisin and honey vibe and a very full and dense smell. Comes across very unisex to me. It definatley has a middle east smell and doesnt come across like something a western designer brand would come up with. I picture a wealthy middle eastern prince or princess wearing this. Could be a very unique clubbing/night out scent and would get positive attention. Performance is very good. 10/10 fragrance for anyone who likes sweet scents.

This scent is absolutely breathtaking. I don't really know how to describe it. It is more than the sum of its notes. It smells niche and so exquisite. It opens with light crisp fruits and morphs steadily through out the day into this rich rose, sandalwood and patchouli scent. It is mildly sweet and almost savoury smelling. It is a deep oriental in the same vein as rose d'arabie at least to me. Oriental lovers should test this gem.

Boy oh boy, this stuff's incredible! Quality unisex soft scent, unique bottle, beast mode, versatile, and I paid $35 for it! Fruity opening, then it gets floral, musky, and woody for the rest of its time. It's just beautifully blended and nothing is off putting for me. So happy I pulled the trigger on this :)

Got 2023 batch of it from Ajmal's store in Bangkok CentralWorld. It is a fabulous, rich and soothing scent. It is so perfectly blended that you can clearly sense the notes transitioning and every transition is a beautiful experience. Especially the Pear, Rose and Musk notes are top notch. Loved it

This is by far my favourite Fragrance, it’s not for everyday use I believe for special occasion. But smells very expensive with middle eastern touch very very premium blend. Performance - 10/10 , 12+ hour If you don’t like middle eastern and RED rose in fragrances it’s not for you. Unisex

I love this so much right now, in cold weather. It is a floral-woody perfume but the fruity start works better when it's cold outside, rounding it and making it delicious, carnal yet fresh. It is gorgeous, a delight to wear, longevity and projection are stellar, not to mention the price.

Blind buy after reading about it on Ajmal's website and reviews about this perfume. LOVE at first scent. An evolution of the the Silver one. An outstanding unisex perfume for day and night wear. As always, sillage and longevity is outstanding.

Nice and neich oriental fregnace... Very large projection and sillage with great longevity. In winter it shows optimum performance and becomes more suitable for special traditional festival and functions like marriage and diwali and eid.

Just the best floral fruity blend at this price point. Ticks all the boxes: longevity, sillage, projection, unisex, all-weather. A no-regret blind buy from the house of Ajmal. At its elegant best on winter evenings.

At the beginning, I was holding the mentality of trying it out. After all, few people discussed it. I didn't expect that I would quite like it. At this price, it is really good!!

High performing, mass pleasing, unisex Oud rose floral on a budget. Evening wear in summers and one can pull off during the day during the winters. Shukran Habibi!

I have a big collection of perfumes and I keep getting the most compliments on wisal dahab! It smells genuinely classy! Fruit and woods take it to the next level.

A jammy rose fragrance that will stand out in most European environments. I love using it on datę nights.

Wow. There is the good and not-so-good here. :) I shall return with more later. It's not at all what the notes would expect one to believe..... I've now worn this fragrance for over a week and have yet to fully understand how to describe Dahab! Perhaps I should begin by saying this is an open review - I will add more as I experience more. On the unexpected and potentially negative side, this is not a fragrance that connotates gold to me, which I'm told is the meaning of 'dahab', and certainly the color of this gorgeous bottle. (Gorgeous despite a cheap cap that required E 6000 on arrival, hehe. It's perfect now.) Dahab is somewhat unisex in the mid notes and dry down as well, while I was hoping for something incredibly femme fatale. Also, the fruity top notes (while beautiful!) seem to be missing the ambrosial pear I adore. But while it's not all I might have hoped, there is more to this than meets the eye. This is a more powerful and slightly more fruity take on Al Madinah Al Haramain and Amber Rose Al Rehab. Both of these are - if still available - considerably more affordable in the west, while Wisal and flankers are easily to be had and quite a bit less expensive in the middle east than here. It may logically depend on your geography as to which you prefer! The original Wisal in the silver bottle starts off more unisex and metallic and pretty much stays that way. Wisal Dahab starts with fruity-rose-oud with some powder and then loses the fruit altogether. Both of these are laden with Iso-E-Super as the woody note, making me understand comments about how Wisal smells common or chemical. Well, it does, and it doesn't. It presents the oud-rose-Iso-E combination that many an attar does, but with initially good sillage and hugely superb longevity. The balance may be better or not than some, depending on personal chemistry. I find the Iso-E in this one less overpowering than some and more so than others. Amber Rose by Al Rehab has less and lasts less. But other popular ouds that smell wholly chemical and masculine to me have far more! It's a matter of perception and skin, methinks. As for melt-down, gorgeous, Femme Fatale rose-oud, this is not it for me. I would be inclined to choose Al Rehab Al Sharquiah (black rose-band aid oud-dates-jasmine) as closer. Even so, if you want an oud rose that outperforms others and freshens in the heat and layers to PERFECTION, this may well be it. In the base there is just enough patchouli to blend gorgeously with chypres and almost elicit an oakmoss feel. Layered with golden sweetness is ideal. I still crave that 'dahab' promised... Thus I layer with Al Rehab Dalal (golden amber, caramel, orange) or Jessica Simpson Fancy (caramel pear!) for happy results. Your average French vanilla would do very nicely also. I believe I will be spending the rest of the summer months layering in various ways for excellent smelling dogdays. Four out of Five stars - & easily 6 if it contained a large dollop of pear!

Ok I'm confused, a few of you are calling this a Oud scent.. No oud is listed and I don't sense any oud in it at all. Does it have a middle Eastern Vibe.. Yes, but middle Eastern doesnt necessarily mean Oud.. The fragrance is a gorgeous, fruity, SPICY rose scent. I adore the fact that there is a modern day twist on a rose fragrance because it has character. And it isn't like the old-fashioned rose scents associated with our grandparents.. I am enjoying this in the colder months and am looking forward to trying it in the Spring to see how it wears in warmer weather.. Performance is outstanding 12 + hours wear time with excellent sillage.. This is NOT for the faint of this heart or underwhelming in any way. I wouldn't wear in a work or "sensitive" setting. This is for a Woman or Man that wants to stand out BOLDLY and be uniquly noticed. A wonderful addition to my collection

A unique experience. I can’t compare this fragrance with any other fragrance because I never smelt something like this before. I smell very clear; apple and pear. Apple and pear and a bit boozyness. The longevity is outstanding. So hands down to this Ajmal. Even when I don’t wear this fragrance, I still can sense/smell it from my memory, it’s a memorable fragrance. I only had this experience with intensitive gold aoud from Mancera. Very deep and intense scent. I would almost think there is oud in there, even if it’s not listed. I catch some medicinal note (doesn’t bother me). I wonder.. Honestly I think this is great for the spring and summer. But also wearable in fall and winter, very versatile. A great addition to your collection. I am very glad to have this. 8,5/10

To sum up my previous (verbose) review: This is a somewhat typical Middle Eastern rose with iso e super and a good melange of feminine notes. It's POWERFUL and I generally only use one to two sprays for western, daily wear. Layers beautifully, and I prefer to layer one spray of this with several of something sweet, such as a vanilla or gourmand. Honestly, I'm still searching for the sweet orchid and pear in this otherwise fantastic fragrance. I don't even know where that 'sweet' bar in the note accords is doing here. This is a potent, opinionated woody-rose with a subtle touch of fruits that add depth more than sweetness. Top notch quality and recommended - but not for the faint of heart!

Update: like many of you on here, I have an embarrassing, hoarder-like, collection of perfumes I’ll never use up. Even with that, this remains to be the best smell I’ve ever smelled, on my wife! On me it’s too fruity somehow. On her it’s this amazing, rich, spicy, tangy, sweet, woody, cloud of a rose that is enhanced by these other sides. On our Valentine’s Day date night, she sprayed ONE spray and it lasted her all night, and scented a few rooms in our house! This is amazing, considering all of the watered-down BS most houses put out once a perfume has been out for a while. Ajmal is the best perfume house, as Russian Adam (areej le dore) also says (on YouTube).

I got a sample of Zaharoff Signature Rose' and fell in love with it! In my opinion, that is the most classy, masculine rose fragrance I've ever smelled. Several people have told me to give this one a try and it is VERY close to the Zaharoff. I've had it for about 2 years I think and completely forgot about it when a few weeks ago, I found it way back in one of my fragrance towers. At first spray, I didn't feel it was very close to Zaharoff Signature Rose', but now it's amazing. Not quite the exact, but close. My wife really likes the Zaharoff and agrees it is close to the Ajmal. Still a great masculine rose and worth checking out.

I love the original Wisal so I bought this one to compare. It is just as good. It reminds me of L'Elephant a little but is a much better fragrance (I cannot stand L'Elephant) I'm getting a heady dose of heliotropin along with the other notes. I would put this down as perfectly unisex and wearable in all seasons although I imagine it will really shine in warmer temperatures. It's a creamy, spiced floral with fruity nuances although I can't identify the fruit which to me is a good thing as I don't really enjoy fruity frags. This is great value for money - if it was released by a big name it would easily sell for 10 x the RRP.

Wisal opens with a blast of fruits surrounded by a floral arrangement. The fruit falls to the wayside and the floral start commanding the show. The rose sticks out more than the other floral. While it is a soft rose it is unisex, not strongly masculine or sweetly feminine. The musk joins the party and totally rounds out this smell. I'm not getting a cloying smell as some have stated, it's all evenly presented and smells very well. As always! Try it for yourself, everyone has different DNA!!!

I LOVE the silver Wisal and so I recently got this one too. I prefer the original for myself. However, on my wife, this is the GREATEST perfume on the planet! Every time she wears it, I'm blown away! It’s absolutely lush, rich, creamy, with beautiful rose and lots of wonderful fruits and a musk-oud-hint adding a wonderful creaminess. It fills the room with happiness!!! For males, Wisal is a great Rose Musk scent. For females, Wisal Dhahab is THE best scent I've ever smelled!

I wish I had know how similar this was to Roses Musk by Montale because I spent so much money on Roses Musk and could have bought this for a fraction of the price. Sweet, fizzy, rose, white flower, cedar and musk scent. The fruits give it the extra sweetness. It's very pretty but I certainly don't need it and Roses Musk. I think this one is nicer because it's a little warmer and less sharp with a touch more patchouli.

Oh God!! I can't believe that I voted dislike for this perfume!! What I was thinking?! it is an easy love for me, it is a lovely woody fruity scent; I would say it is more fruity than woodsy, so elegant. Despite the woodsy notes weirdly I find it somehow clean, I would say I get musk and amber notes, it also has a light spicy note, and for sweetness, it is sweet, but not overly sweet, just perfect!

I'm surprised how many people smell this unisex, I couldn't imagine this on a man. It has a very strong, rosey scent, not the grandma type, but the strong, confident woman type. In the drydown it shows it's woody elements which are also pleasant. You'll get noticed in this perfume that's for sure.

Definitely very fruity with a defined pear note I think. More fruity then woody according to my nose, woodyness comes out in the drydown with hints of musk. I don't get much rose. Very nice overall.

was going to purchase this one but the scent was a little too subtle for me. the salesman recommend wisal layl which I cant find on here but it's so much nicer and stands out more

nice..to me this smells like quince compote with a tinge of citrus and a dash of spice.

I have tested it in a perfume store, This perfume starts oud woody with fresh citrusy and spices fragrance, then moves to be more deepy of woods and roses, hence, the citrusy with spices moves to the background. This perfume more mature than "Wisal Silver bottle" and suitable for both of women and men's. I didn't like oud in women perfumes, this is my own taste, I love it only in men's perfumes, so if your taste compatible with me sure you will not like to wear this perfume, may be you like to smell it on other people. If you didn't smell this perfume before, I advise that you can blind buy only if you interest oud fragrances. Synthetic fragrance here is not noticeable especially in the dry down. This fragrance suitable to wear it during the day or at night, in winter or Autumn seasons, It lasts 8 hours on the leather and more than one day on clothes. لقد جربته في متجر للعطور، هذا العطر يبدأ برائحة العود الخشبية مع رائحة الحمضيات المنعشة والتوابل، ثم يتحول إلى رائحة أعمق من الأخشاب والورود، حيث تنتقل رائحة الحمضيات والتوابل إلى الخلفية. هذا العطر أكثر نضجًا من "زجاجة وصال الفضية" ومناسب لكل من النساء والرجال. لا يعجبني العود في العطور النسائية، وهذا ذوقي الخاص، أحبه فقط في العطور الرجالية، لذلك إذا كان ذوقكِ متوافقًا معي فمن المؤكد أنك لن تحبِ هذا العطر لكن ربما تحبين أن تشميه على أشخاص آخرين. إذا لم تشمِ هذا العطر من قبل، أنصحك بإمكانك شرائه شراءً أعمى، إذا كنتِ مهتمة بعطور العود. الرائحة الاصطناعية هنا غير ملحوظة على الإطلاق بشكل خاص في قاعدة العطر.. هذا العطر مناسب لارتدائه أثناء النهار أو الليل، في فصلي الشتاء أو الخريف، يدوم لمدة 8 ساعات على الجلد وأكثر من يوم على الملابس.

A little challenging to write my opinion about this due to numerous positive reviews, being my unsuccessful blind buy. And I'll be the first person to say this has a faint animalic twist (not oud) — sweet civet or castoreum 'accord' to be more precise, that sticks around till the end. The fruity part is short-lived. You can include these fruit notes all you want, but these top notes come and go in 10 secs before being occupied by synthetic rose (+ huge amount of geranium), musk bomb, some sweet florals, and some red fruits. I find the scent to be overwhelming, one-dimensional, and stuffy, especially when it's all about rose. This is more powdery and musky than woody. I believe it has synthetic ambroxan or something that makes it project like crazy. Sillage is huge that it causes me a headache sometimes, so 1-2 spray is more than enough, although longevity on 'my skin' isn't greater than sillage. Final thoughts, beauty is in the eye of the beholder; however, this one to me is overrated. But if you associate beauty with beast-mode quality then this is for you. I want to try Wisal Layl but feel like I need to learn from my lesson, lol.

I have both the silver and recently acquired gold dhahab version. This one is sweeter sister of the original perfume. I can not decide if I like it as much as the original. It’s sweeter but there is also an off sour and strange incense like note (maybe to do with my body chemistry) that I find slightly perplexing. The original is more woody and also more comforting for me.

this starts with a lot of rose, a fair amount of geranium, some fruits in the background and a woodiness that reads as oud to me, though there is none listed. it's a bit sweeter than i like but not too bad compared to other fruity scents i have tested in the past. the peach gets more pronounced later and it dries down to a woody peach with hints of rose.

It has strong middle eastern vibe & leans feminine in my opinion. Performance is strong. I blind bought it & I did not like it. I gave away my bottle after a couple of uses.

I was intrigued by this fragrance. Seems it's adored by almost everyone. I had it in and out of carts until I finally pulled the trigger on a very good buy of Wisah Dhahab. At the same time, I purchased three others-Judith Leiber Night, Montblanc Presence d'une Pour Femme and Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights (oil). Of all these four, I like this one the least. I get a weird gag-me rose and plastic. That's it. Maybe as it stays around awhile, it will morph into something pretty, but not a fan at all, not on my skin. Generally, I like the Middle Eastern vibe, have a couple of Afnans and several Armaf fragrances and like them all, but this one was off-putting. Maybe someone else would like this one better. Blind buy fail for me, unfortunately. EDIT AGAIN: Tried it again today after letting it sit for almost three months. This is HORRID on me! It literally makes me gag. My worst blind by ever, a true scrubber, which I'll do as soon as I submit this edit. Anyone want this for $20, send me a message (if you are in the U.S.). EDIT #2: A lovely lady here is going to give this one a go so it won't be lonely anymore sitting on my table. I hope she loves it as others do. Just would not work for me.

Totally generic, chemical sweet odor. Cloying to me as i do not like sweet fruity overwhelming fragrances. This smells exactly like the regular cheap quality synthetic perfume. Went over the hype, but totally disappointed. Maybe generic fragrances are more appreciated, but not by me.

I wanted to see what the hype was about and tried it on at a store. It could’ve been fake but it smelled like nair hair removal. Very synthetic, extremely fruity, no sandalwood or patchouli. More soapy/fruity profile. Too tutifruti! The fruity cheap smell lasted for hours and i couldn’t scrub it off.

The opening is sweet, fruity, and floral. It has good longevity and sillage. The musk is prominent and takes over in the mid and dry-down, which becomes cloying.

Right from the first spray, the sweetness is immediately apparent. I personally don’t pick up much of the pear, orange, or apple in the opening—they’re either very subtle or quickly overshadowed by the floral accord. The florals take center stage almost instantly, creating a dense, rich bouquet that defines the fragrance from the very beginning. One aspect that stood out to me throughout the wear is a pronounced damp woody nuance. It reminds me of the smell of freshly rained-on wood or wet timber—earthy, slightly cool, and persistent. That woody facet runs underneath the florals and adds depth, though it’s quite sugary. As for the rose, I wouldn’t describe it as a prominent, easily identifiable note. Instead, it feels seamlessly blended into a bouquet of multiple flowers. Rather than smelling like a single rose, it evokes the feeling of walking through a garden in full bloom during spring, where countless flowers blend together into one soft, sweet, and elegant aroma. The sweetness makes it approachable enough to wear regularly, but the fragrance itself is quite potent. Because of its density and projection, I wouldn’t personally reach for it as an everyday scent. My preference leans more toward sweet floral fragrances with an airy, translucent quality, whereas this one feels richer and more saturated. That said, it’s a unique composition while still being broadly appealing. It’s elegant, refined, and well-suited for formal occasions or sophisticated gatherings. I wouldn’t necessarily classify it as a party fragrance—its character is more polished than playful—but it’s the kind of scent that’s hard to dislike and easy to appreciate in the right setting.

Erring slightly on the feminine side (though still a unisex fragrance) this doesn't contain any wild surprises, it isn't clearly an Arabian fragrance rather is is a safe and elegant scent completely at home in the West, sophisticated but not a challenging perfume this is ideal for any occasion. Without the bright, screechy, noxious white noise of many modern commercial ladies' fragrances, rather this is deep and warm but in hot weather it doesn't become cloying or overbearing. It isn't going to set the world on fire, it isn't going to define you as a scandalous outrage, but if you are looking for a warm, dark, pleasant, clean, likeable, office-friendly but also interesting enough for the rest of your life this is a great choice, this is a very safe bet for a blind-buy or a gift, there isn't anything in here not to like but it still is unusual enough to garner compliments as something out of the ordinary. I wear a different scent every day so my colleagues are becoming quite familiar with the realm of scent, every day they say ''ooh I like this even better than yesterday's'' but today I wasn't allowed passed until I showed her where she could buy a bottle which she did right then on the spot. Clearly this is a very popular perfume judging by the emphatic reactions of my coworkers. And now I, writing this review, I cannot stop smelling my wrist. This isnt going to challenge you and turn your brain inside out like some of the oudhy ajmal scents, but it is certainly going to keep you satisfied olfactorily for hours and hours as this is a juice with a fabulous longevity, which, for the price, is super.

This is great. Affordable, well-balanced unisex rose fragrance with hints of patchouli and just a touch of well-tamed oud. I don't get a ton of fruit, which is surprising given how many are listed in the breakdown, but I think this is an excellent bang-for-the-buck floriental. A few reviews below gripe about synthetic ingredients, and yeah they're definitely there, but I'm not sure what else you'd expect at this price point. Real rose is crazy expensive, so if you're blind buying a perfume at 35 bucks and expecting real rose or jasmine, you're gonna have a bad time. I've also seen some complaints that it's too overpowering, but I don't find this heavy at all. The blending here is solid IMO. Not sure if Nazir Ajmal is the nose behind all of Ajmal's scents or just some of them, but if he composed this, I think he balanced all the notes pretty admirably considering how many synthetics he'd have been working with. The bottle is... goofy, but it's got a fun charm to it, and performance is solid but not outrageous. It ends up landing in the general zone of Zaharoff's Signature Rosé, but Wisal Dhahab is a much better value. Recommended if you're after a good unisex rose on a budget.

i agree i with the post above i just sampled this last week and i was surprised it was a beautiful composition i have had experience with the silver wisal for 15 years many men like wearing it and it smells good on them but not on me so i was hesitant to try the golden wesal to my surprise it was an amazing ambery musky mukhalt type of scent that truly surpasses many of the nich perfumes and lasts long over 18 hours and is not sickly sweet nor utterly dry its a well balanced composition with the right amount of florals resins musks ambers even sandalwood its floriental in nature i didnt detect many frutes which are listed here but i didnt test it soley i was experimenting with ouds so it blended perfectly i will get it for layering purposes its about 27 us $ for a food 60 ml i believe i will write another review if i purchase it

I was almost tempted to blind buy a bottle based on the notes and amazing reviews, but really I should have learned my lesson by now, and I'm glad I decided to test it first! I went back and forth with it because there are some parts of it I really enjoy, others not so much. Initially I get strong raisins and hair salon vibes. The opening is more fresh than I usually go for but I really enjoy it. Unfortunately this doesn't last long - the heart is a bit woody, musky and sweet, but there's something sour in the mid stage that is jarring to me. Then it turns very powdery, which I don't dislike, but still, am unenthused about. Performance wise it's quite soft but long lasting. Oddly I find with only one spray it wafts gently around me, but the more I spray the less I smell. Would not purchase.
