Mudiyah

This is so beautifully done. One of my favorite recent finds. Perfect for spring. Very light and aquatic with a soft sweetness.

I think I either received a dud, an adulterated bottle or one that wasn’t properly stored & it lost its mojo as a result (also possible I got a fake, but doubtful, but still possible). Basing this off of one of those scenarios to be fair to the fragrance itself & bc I have heard others praise it for no other reason than to share their pleased experience with it. It has potential to be a very pretty, spring/summery airy, refreshing, delicately sweet pear, melon & pineapple with aquatic breeze with a clean light “freshly laundered” vibe (wondering if it wasn’t intended to be a twist/inspired by version of EP)...I suppose one could attribute the seemingly: “here for a short, sweet good time, not a long time” to the Ambroxan...but then it leaves me wondering how the people I’ve seen praise it can even detect it to praise it themselves 🤷🏻♀️. Extremely faint, but pretty & inoffensive (hard to be offensive if it’s undetectable or barely there)—might be perfect for someone who struggles with (headaches triggered by) strong scents (then again, if the Ambroxan is fooling noses maybe not). Idk what to say...other than if there’s that much or that strong of Ambroxan in this composition, that it verges on being undetectable, then it’s difficult to truly enjoy & in the same vain, if it’s truly that faint/weak, same thing...Wish it gave a lot more bc what I am able to detect is pretty & would be an easy nice reach during warm weather, for layering or for just something light, pretty, refreshing to wear out & about or at home...If I knew I could find something similar that wasn’t weak or that I could actually detect or even if I knew it was my bottle of Mudiyah that was the issue, I would consider replacing it (provided I found it inexpensively), but it’s nothing that stands out or is unique etc. Been waiting for Mudiyah to be added to Fragrantica. Been holding onto my bottle despite being sadly disappointed in mine, to see if it might improve, but might need to give her away bc the lackluster overall performance/quality keeps me from even trying any more.
