Shahoor Elixir

I personally do not like devotion. I owned both Lattafa Victoria and Shahoor Elixir before I ever got my nose on devotion. There is something about devotion that just doesn't do it for me and smells off BUT the other two are amazing. Do you need both victoria and shahoor elixir? No. HOWEVER, they are very much similar but not exactly the same to my nose. I find Victoria to be a little creamier, softer and a little bit of a confectioners sugar powderiness compared to Shahoor Elixir's ever so slightly more zesty and bright opening. Both give an amazing creamy, dreamy lemon pound cake with a vanilla glaze on top with a touch of lemon zest to round it all out. Absolutely amazing fragrances. I saw someone compare it to Al-Rehab Soft but the only thing they really have in common is a lemon note. Al-Rehab Soft is like a candied lemon with a bubblegum/cotton candy sweetness and a drizzle of caramel and a kiss of vanilla.

/THIS IS GOOD, BUT NOT A GOOD DUPE FOR LIRA/ Lira has fresher citrus notes and is smoother. This one is really good. It is super gourmand for the most part. I saw that another review said that the orange blossom can be overwhelming, and that is sometimes the case for me as well. Not all of the time on my skin. Kinda weird. Sometimes it's more lemon cakey and others it's heavy orange blossom, but it's good either way. I just prefer the lemon dominant version. (I went hard with Love Don't Be Shy for a good spell and am super over that type of DNA). Anyhoo, when I feel it going orange blossom on me, I will spritz some Al Rehab Soft over it and that fixes it. If you have Soft, try layering it with Shahoor Elixir if you want to amp up the citrus and sweetness and push some of that orange blossom back, it's a perfect solution.

As much as I disliked Lattafa's Noble Blush (which I received the same day), Shahoor Elixir Al Absar made me go absoutely apeshit! (in a good way) 🐵 I love Devotion Dolce&Gabbana, but not its price tag. Shahoor Elixir - another blind buy - is a spot on dupe of that same delicious, lemony cake - I smell like a candy-coated confection - LOVE this stuff! Unfortunately, like many ME fragrances, the sillage is short-lived, as is the longevity. However, I don't care, with Shahoor I can now overspray to my heart's content, and it's perfect for layering. The bottle is pretty sweet as well, very pretty presentation. Now very interested in also acquiring Shahoor Intense and Shahoor Platinum. VERY happy camper with this one!

Lemony, creamy, orange blossom with vanilla. I wanted to replace my nearly empty Devotion and after hearing about all these clones, I first bought Lattafa Victoria after all the hype/reviews but it was very noticeably different since Victoria has neroli, which is not present in D&G Devotion. They are not 1 to 1 dupes. I ended up returning Victoria since its too different from Devotion and the neroli bothers my nose. Shahoor Elixir. however is exactly the same as Devotion. Highly recommend if you like Devotion or want a sweet lemony, orange blossom vanilla scent.

I love this! Super citrusy, sweet and refreshing. Smells like a lemon tart/lemon cake with caramel drizzle 😍 Can’t wait to wear this during summer! It smells quite similar to Lemon Cake by Oakcha, to me. Normally I don’t like fresh citrusy scents, but i love this coz of the candied sweetness and depth to it. Will let it sit and wear it to further add to my thoughts of it.

This is a great alternative for D&G devotion the regular or intense. Smells more like it than Oakcha lemon cake or Victoria by Lataffa. It’s great layered with another vanilla scent or vanilla oil. I just wish it lasted longer. It doesn’t last longer than 2 hours on my skin.

This is a lot like Victoria. I’m smelling more orange blossom and less vanilla. It is a lovely scent, and I’m curious what time will develop. This will be a nice warmer weather fragrance. The perfume is a nice blind buy and workplace safe.

I cannot believe this dupe is DUPING, sis!!!! If you are a lover of Victoria from Lattafa or Devotion from Dolce & Gabana, this is it. Lemon merengue pie, long lasting, sunny sweet summertime scent. RUN to get this!

I absolutely love this. Very similar to D&G Devotion but with the lemon amped up. It lasts longer too which is even better. If you want a slightly zestier version on Devotion, with better performance then get this.

Did they discontinue Shahoor Platinum? I thought they had three different ones. I’m only seeing the notes and information for two the regular and intense but not the platinum.

Fragrantica please add Shahoor Platinum. I know it’s discontinued, but it is still for sale on the TikTok marketplace and we want to know the notes.

This is everything I want in a perfume. It smells delicious. Sexy enough to wear on dates but also can be worn to work. Such a pretty scent.

I was running out if Devotion bc I use it like a body spray. Bought this to replace it. It may actually last longer than devotiono

Nooooo @Dannielle, I trusted you! 😭 This is the perfume equivalent of using the wrong equation but somehow arriving at the right answer. From afar, wafting around, it's definitely about 90 percent similar but not a 1:1 dupe of BBW's Loyal To You— at first. It's not as cakey-sweet and the initial blast is more aggressively orange versus lemon. Thankfully, that pretty quickly morphs into lemon but my god. Those first 30mins are the real test. This was almost a scrubber. It's the damn caramel and lactonic accords together with the citrus and alcohol that make this smell very faintly of curdled milk. (Why do modern houses insist on adding milk, caramel and rum to everything?? I get gourmands are The Hottest Thing, but I don't WANT the whole confectionery! Just give me lemon cake on clean linen!!) Ugh. And god help you if you sniff closer to the spray area(s). Maybe it's my skin chemistry? An off day? I hope so. Absolute gut-churning unpleasantness. I was really hoping for the same bright, creamy, fresh, almost minty laundry musk drydown of LTY ☹️ UPDATE: Okay, Shahoor Elixir. I owe you an apology. I wasn't really familiar with your game. It gets WAY better. Past 30mins, some kind of mintiness – a menthol vapor smell that mildly burns my eyes like leaning over a tub of VICKS – comes out and a lot of the sour lactonics dissipate. One hour out, it FINALLY smells closer to LTY's drydown, like 98 percent. Still a bit sad about the subtle dissimilarities, no delicate wafts of candied lemon-mint here. This is for gourmand lovers who want a stronger, evolving, more complex, lemon-dense scent. This is for folks who want a fragrance that screams "LEMON CAKE!!!" one inch from their faces through a megaphone while a clean towel is aggressively helicoptered. I'm so conflicted. I guess it's a like? It still serves its purpose as a SFW scent and mood-lifter. If the drydown weren't so surprisingly okay, the longevity eternal (+14hrs), and LTY so discontinued, I'd be looking for a gentler experience.

While I've yet to smell D & G Devotion, I recently ordered both Shahoor Elixir and Empire Victor after becoming enamored by lemony vanilla fragrances this spring. I already own Sand + Fog's Devotion perfume oil dupe (Secret Flame) and was hoping for something that had a bit more lasting power. Shahoor Elixir smells EXACTLY like Secret Flame much to my delight.... Totally reminds me of a light and airy lemon cookie dusted with powdered sugar. I can still faintly smell it on my skin/clothing a few hours after spraying, but projection is lacking based on my experience thus far. I'll update my review in that regard in another week or 2 to see if it improves. Right now I'd say Secret Flame performs better for even less $$$. For those wondering, Empire Victor is far more vanilla-forward with minimal citrus IMO. They are very different fragrances. I personally like it even more though as a lover of vanilla scents, but it's the type of perfume that literally pulls a disappearing act within minutes of spraying. Ended up returning my bottle. :( **Update 4/27: Opted to return Shahoor Elixir. It still smelled identical to Secret Flame and didn't perform half as well.

I really like the scent of this perfume. It's very citrusy at the beggining and then turns a little bit sweet, giving vives of a candied lemon. The bad thing with this fragance is that it doesn't projects anything on me; I barely notice it on myself or my partner when he's next to me (and I do overspray). It's a shame, I won't be keeping it for this reason... it doesn't suit my skin well, and the longevity is poor, too. It lasts about 5 hours on me, but it's very close to my skin. i think i will look for other alternative to devotion perfume.

I'm Aussie. First wear: Smells like a mix of pound cake and Windex. Second wear: It's giving Butter Menthols. I get the similarity to D&G Devotion, but this is definitely a bit more broad in structure, but still an intimate scent. I hope this gets better with time. I will keep it, I will layer it with ambers. In terms of lemon/vanillic profiles I still prefer Khadlaj Empire Victor 👌

I own both shahoor elixir and devotion and I have to say shahoor last a lot longer on my skin and I would also say it’s also much more creamier. In my opinion, it is better than devotion only because devotion lasts about only an hour maximum on my skin

When I just got this fragrance, the lemon was strong like a cleaning product. After letting it sit for over 6 months, it is now like a lemon pound cake. Beautiful fragrance but I have to be in the mood to wear it.

To me , it is very long lasting! Pretty sure it's stronger than the original It is very similar to devotion by D&G I loved the smell but don't know why somehow it made me nauseous:( But the scent is very beautiful
