Ameerah

This one's a creeper-upper: just got my £2 rollerball in the post, slapped some on; just the faintest whiff of flowers, slightly artificial, "oh well: waste o' money but it was dirt cheap" I thought, shrugged and forgot about it. That was 20 minutes ago; now, I'm surrounded by the delicate waft of grown-up and quite sophisticated flower notes: while orchid and jasmine are the stars of the show, the orange blossom and patchouli are peeking through too, but not overpoweringly. If you asked me blind to guess what's in this, I'd have guessed a tiny touch of honeysuckle and maybe I get even a bit of mint up front, something sort of fresh? Oh, and here comes the sandalwood now, but subtle, like. This is quite an interesting scent, definitely not my usual (I love bold orientals, spices, shouty patchouli, upbeat strong orange, sensual rose, and perfumes that smell like Christmas, basically!). Ameerah is still definitely an oriental, but not a statement one like I normally go for; lively, instead of sensual; this should work well as a cheap 'n cheerful, likable everyday splash of scent for folk who enjoy the bold spicy orientals I do, but want something a little less "extra" every once in a while. I am surprised after first impression how much I actually like this. It's not overly sweet, and with those patchouli and sandalwood notes, I reckon it could also smell fab on a modern gentleman who isn't put off by floral notes.
