Fakhrul Oudh

A very heavy, rich fragrance. Seems a lighter version of 24 Hour Gold (Scent Story) and Raghba (by Lattafa). Having said that, its still a vanilla forward, sweet, resinous, dark and heavy beast of a fragrance. I also imagine its quite close to Shagaf Oud by Swiss Arabian, but I don't have that to compare to. There's not much to describe in relation to the smell. It is very similar to the ones described above. If you're reading this, chances are you're familiar with one of the frangrances mentioned above. It takes quite the effort to find differences. I am certainly no expert, but, I would find it impossible to tell apart when someone is wearing them. You get a more refined, denser and heavier fragrance if you go for 24 Hour Gold. Though this is slightly more expensive. You get a sweeter, more intense and significantly cheaper alternative if you go for Raghba. Personally, I think I will use this when Raghba (my favorite out of the three) is too strong/intense for the intended environment/application (for example a sharing a small room with other people). I don't regret my purchase at all, however, I dont think I will repurchase when this runs out as you can purchase about 2 to 3 bottles of Raghba for the same cost. Al Aneeq has a relatively cheap sample offer on their official website. You get 4 samples for 5 pounds including postage. Some of their other offerings were very enjoyable as well. I primarily went for the Oud ones. I liked all of them and will probably purchase full bottles after I finish the samples. Worth a punt!

Dark, smoky, woody, sweet, vanilla, spicy Saffron and resinous leather is what I get from this. I absolutely love to wear this in the winter months although I have found its reception quite divisive. Most people seem to appreciate it but one or two find it too resinous ("oily") or a bit too dark and "dirty". I kind of understand those comments but I think they come from folks who aren't used to these heavier oriental scent profiles. Yes it has some reminiscences to 24 Gold but that is more Oud forward and lacks the Saffron accord in Fakhrul Oud although they do both share the rich, sweet, woodiness, perhaps from both having the combination of Guaiac, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Cedar, Vanilla and Amber. Fakhrul Oud is, for me at least, quite different from Tobacco Vanille as TV is definitely Tobacco centric beset by rich, dark sweet dried fruits and the vanilla and cacao which make it a standalone scent. I must admit personally I'm not quite sure why these two are compared as I find their characters sufficiently different. Both are fantastic. Tobacco Vanille is closer to being a unisex fragrance whereas Fakhrul Oud is most definitely more masculine. At £32 on Ebay UK Fakhrul Oud is a bang-for-buck-beast!

a nice heavy sweet incense, its smoky and sweet, it also has a nice amber note, this can be layered with noir extreme imo and youll smell like an arabian prince or a sheikh, its amazing, initial opening is a little harsh but let it dry down and its amazing, im not sure why is has a tom ford style bottle though i dont think its cloning anything by the house. Strong performance and a great scent. This reminded me of dhoop we have in india its a frankincense in the punjab region

Subtley sweet vanilla. I personally haven't smelt anything similar. Really easy dumb reach. Also a good vanilla scent to layer with others. I tend to spray it with other oud fragrances. I got an oil attar of this and was obsessed.

To my nose this is a nice enough, decent but flat woody based honey/vanilla/amber type of scent ....a bit like Raghbah or several other arabian woody sweet scents but without the longevity and 3 times more expensive. Therefore i'll stick to Raghbah thanks all the same

a very heavy, sweet incense to me. instantly reminded me of tom ford noir extreme but idk why. they don't smell very similar at all its nice

Your typical middle Eastern vanilla incense "one of many" frag. As in it smells different but just like them all. Either got diluted or reformulated bottle. Does not last all that long on my skin. The incense gives it a very unclean smell. Rather unimpressed.
