50 Years Golden Oudh

well..well...well... Real Oud at this rate? that too 100 ML Spray? Are you kidding me? It has a bit of a skank so don't expect it to be sweet immediately after spray.. it does get sweeter with time though. Funny part is I get a 3D bull bodies oud when I go for full spray, if I spray it half or 1/4, it comes across as 2D Oud more like a cultivated oud and lacks depth but 2 full spray and you see the magic! Perfume lovers especially living in Europe and US, if you really want to smell oud in perfume this is how it smells.. everything else which you must have smell especially in designer perfumes.. is not even close to real oud. One should get this for sure if you want real oud at such a good price. and yes longevity is 8 to 12 hours on skin and a week on cloths. Projection is for 2 to 4 hours but it has a good sillage so no complain in this department at all. I have a dry skin and perfumes does not last on my skin.. if I am getting such performance, you can imagine how it will perform if your skin is slightly on an olier side :-D

A true authentic middle Eastern oud not for the faint of heart at first spray.However let this rest on skin and not paper then it unravels, into something beautiful and almost transcendental.This is not my first experience with Al Haramain and authentic oud.The first scent I had was Oud Cambodi that was too animalic though the dry down was heavenly. This one is animalic but more bearable and that stage transitions faster the oud is at the forefront the other notes come out gradually to mellow it and give balance.This is a true pure niche oud that is for the connoisseur only not the novice.As far as a rating I give this an 9/10,as the opening was a challenge but I love the progression of this also the presentation is opulent and regal.

What to expect from this fragrance: oud, oud and yet more oud. In short this is a well blended fragrance, you will smell oud mainly, the other notes support the oud, but I cannot pick up anything in particular, except the oud. The oud is non-skanky and this smells authenticly middle eastern. Performance is good, plus 8 hours with good projection. It does not cost much and is easy to wear, well blended and versatile. For me this is a day time, night time, every time a good time type of a fragrance. It's only shortcoming in my eyes is the tacky bottle design, which is nit-picking at this point. Summary - cheap, good quality, easy to wear, natural smelling pure oud fragrance with good projection and longevity. Love!

Smirky explains this fragrance perfectly below so not much to add. Blind buy for me and I'm thrilled with it. A dark resinous oud with musky patchouli base to give it some depth beyond the wood. The rose is in the background and is just enough to make sure this goes ever so slightly in the sweet oud direction rather than the smoky acrid direction. Phenomenal performance and projection and a quality to price ratio which is off the charts. The benchmark oud in my collection.

This gets better on skin as the hours go by turns into the highest quality rich smokey aromatic bakhoor resinous oud you'll ever smell.This is exactly what I looking for this is all encompassing and encapsulating of the middle east.This is distinguished mystical and the trail would be gorgeous it's also deceptively strong.Gives a brilliant aura of luxury exoticity and allure.

Although this is a more expensive fragrance than I normally buy, I am a fan of Al Haramain perfumes so I treated myself to a bottle as soon as it came available and I was not disappointed. It brightens up my lockdown world. It's long lasting, elegant and easy to wear. This has pride of place in my collection. I love it!

The best middle eastern fragrance hands down real oud but done right initially barny but not scatology.It dries down to a beautiful smokey powdery sweet earthy smell.Top top fragrance this is worth way more that even the original 150 it was going for.

From Xerjoff to Bortnikoff if this was named any of them this may cost £1000.Its tough to blend oud this well especially multiple real oud extracts.Here it's been masterfully done at such a great price

This is some strong stuff right here but max 3 sprays.2 is good and it lasts and lasts for at least 8 to 10 hours.love it

Smells lie a masculine, dirty, Middle Eastern alpha male! Absolute bliss!

I admit, I blind bought Golden Oud only for the bottle, figuring if the house is touting it as a 50th anniversary fragrance, they'll try to make it good. I wasn't disappointed. Regarding the bottle, the six-sided structure it comes in is made of metal. The glass bottle is also enclosed in a six-sided metal outer bottle. Quite unique. Golden Oud is foremost an oud fragrance. It opens with a bit of barnyard which lasts a surprisingly short amount of time, only about 3 minutes. It then remains a strong oud/woody scent with subtle spices playing a supporting role, never dominating the oud. The barnyardy aspect is subtly still there, under the covers. Not something you can put your finger or nose on but just enough to enhance the overall scent making it a bit dirty. I detected the rose around the mid dry down, very weak and not lasting long. Since it's longevity is nuclear, towards the end the oud retreated a bit and it became a bit more of a creamy/woody type of scent. That's about after around 9 or 10 hours. Yes, performance is insane. Easily got 12 hours out of it. Next day, during morning cardio, it activated and became a quite strong skin scent. Monster projection. You can easily fumigate a room if you go heavy on the sprays. To be subtle, use maybe one or two sprays and/or confine the sprays under your shirt. Comparing Golden Oud to Amouage's Silver Oud, I'd say Golden Oud is smoother/creamier than Silver Oud and a bit dirtier. Silver Oud has a sharper and more biting oud/woody scent. I like both in their own way and have bottles of each. Golden Oud is a hyper masculine fragrance. Your need big balls to spray it heavily and wear it in North America or Europe. The Al Haramain website says Golden Oud contains real oud - Dehnal Oud and unspecified oud. I have to agree with Scentsibilities' review below: if this were being sold by a niche brand, they'd be charging $1000. Amouage would be charging at least $500. Unbelievable retail price of $80 and available at discounters for $40.

A real gamble. This brand usually does good things, and the rumor that it contains real oud piqued my curiosity (or misled me?). I don't know. I know it's difficult...very difficult...both to understand and to use. Each time it evolves differently, far away from even the most daring Western perfumery; we're in a whole different territory. As soon as you spray it, it's truly fecal, no other words needed, with the temptation to wash off immediately. With patience, it all begins. I could tell you that it's first woody, then powdery, then floral, then musky, then musty, then sweet, but I wouldn't give you much of an idea. Imagine if I told you that every day the order changes, and the intensity of some notes changes rather than others. In short, a puzzle. It's a good perfume to spark olfactory curiosity, but I wouldn't recommend it blindly. I got it on a bargain and will keep it as a wild card in my collection. Longevity and projection are excellent. The opening is extremely off-putting, be warned! In conclusion, I don't know if there's any real oud in there. If it were true, however unlikely, it would make sense, given the fragrance's pronounced, "dirty" quality. But it's still very interesting.

Was kindly given some samples of this fragrance by a fragrantica member :) and its a lovely oud fragrance. Opens with a blast of barnyard oud but the barn only lasted a few minutes, that was quite disappointing. I do like a strong barn oud fragrance. The fragrance quickly changed to a pleasant bakhoor type fragrance and then on the drydown the oud comes back again and its very nice smoky oud with incense and a touch of amber. Really nice fragrance, also found it quite different on clothing on clothing its almost identical to Dehn el oud malaki by swiss arabian another fragrance i own and really enjoy. Performance was good 15 hours on skin and on clothing its staying on until washed. Sillage was moderate. Overall really enjoyed the fragrance and will be looking to buy a full bottle soon.

This is definitely not real oud (besides perhaps in small part), but it smells nice nevertheless. Not fecal at all, and contains a lot of those saffron chemicals used in modern oud perfumes. It is kind of a shapeshifter, fluctuating between spicy, woody and vanillic nuances. The opening is especially nice, but it turns to pure saffron (safraleine?) soon, and that is what you will get for the remainder (which is long by the way).

Was very excited to try this. I was hoping for something darker/oudier. I have 1 million golden oud and this is spot on to my nose. I just got it so I will have to give it some time but my initial impression is “1 million golden oud” Edit: This was released in 2020 and 1 million golden oud was released in 2023.

I really like this fragrance. It is different from any other fragrance I have. Note the lack of reminds me of above. If you want a gif mood cologne that packs a punch and is unique try it.

I got a compliment that something is rotten here or baked potatoes :) also I got a skin rash from it too, but somehow I still really like it :D... lasting forever

This is very, very interesting. I’ve been excited to smell this as it looked so aromatic, fresh spicy and herbal - all the things I love, but I was intrigued to know how it would be done the Arabian way. The initial blast is barnyard oudy (which I was expecting) but it’s an oud lovers type of oud - faecal but clinical and oh-so-powerful. Straight-off, this is strong, serious and dominating. But I’m loving the top notes of cloves, sage, thyme and black pepper - this was the herbaceous twist in Arabian perfumery that I was after. It’s super-long lasting as I sprayed it on my wrist before bed and it’s still on my skin by lunchtime the following day. But I must add that my wrist now has a red rash where I originally sprayed, I can only put it down to my body’s new reaction to the Covid vaccine, as I’m much more reactive to things in the few weeks since. Patch-testing is so important now as Covid and the vaccine is considered a change in ones medical history (and a known result in being more reactive to chemical/irritants). So I can’t wear it, but I’m enjoying smelling it via the bottle. Unfortunately, the ferociously clinical oud is just too overpowering for me. But if a beast-mode oud that’s herbaceous and fresh spicy sounds like a bit of you, then this is a must.

Но если откинуть эти предрассудки то закрыв глаза и представив букет красивых дорогих роз которые дарят на торжество то этот аромат пахнет также.Лучше покупать такой же но платинум и будет вам счастье он невероятно прекрасен !

A natural, non animalic dehnal oud (Aquilaria Khasiana) at a great price. Beast longevity with an enormous scent bubble. Even as a spice dominating scent (do not mistaken it with the scorched beast Imperial Oud!) Golden Oud has nothing to do with Icon Absolute by Dunhill. As a matter of fact you should grab a bottle even for the presentation only: a nice container and a heavy metal bottle plus a beautiful rosary of a real stone. Spray it on paper towel, squash the paper and open it again on the next day. You will smell almost the oud only. In this very dry-down it smells very similar to the Hindi oud.

I got this perfume for free, as a gift because i ordered another al haramain perfume. As a 18y old, i can say that this is unwearable. It reminds me of old people and romanian churches. Not a fan. (crazy performance tho)

I was expecting something original. It wasn't. But it's really good. It's 90% similar to Icon Absolute, just made better. It's in the same family as Oud Wood and Oud Noir.

I don't have this fragrance in my collection, because it's to masculine, but I love it. Best flanker in 50years collection

smells mostly like oud (that rough petrol type of oud) and is tamed down by little bit of amber. Decent performances
