Amber Oud Black Edition

Tested it a few times + 2 full wearings of this - it is a very situational fragrance IMO First of all, this fragrance doesn't change very much from opening to drydown, but it brings on different facades... When you first spray it one you get a quick burst of bitter citrus, very faint, but the main stars are the cypriol-like oud, the lavender, the dry-woodiness (they list vetiver), an almond note with a touch of florals... This backbown is the whole fragrance, but as it dries down a vanilic-tonka sweetness comes out... It still remains dark, but it gets sweeter.. I don't think it is a fragrance for everyone being as dark as it is.. Despite the darkness, it is a bit airy - does not come across heavy as a scent... Performance is stron for about 5-6 hours (the first to 2 hours being insane) and then it comes closer and closer - by the 12th hour it projects close to you and it does not become a skin scent (at least I did not go that long without a shower). Despite the strong performance, I find it very elegant - that may be because of the lavander-tonka-cypriol combo that gives it a little fougere-like quality, but not too much... I smelled Pegasus Exclusif and, even though it is not the same, it is done in that style... I managed to get this for a little under 40$ for 150ml here in Romania on a clearance and for that price it's a steal! Hope this helps! Cheers!

Honestly beast mode frag, best way to describe it. This is the only parfum in my collection where I can say, if someone mentions a "dark" and "spicy" frag, I truly understand what that means and this perfectly fits it. I'm a big aquatic/fruity fan since I'm in my mid 20's but this just blows me off my feet. Projection and performance are actually insane and easily the best performer in my entire collection. Even after spraying at 6 a.m., my family can still catch a whiff when I hop in the car or walk into a room with close silage 10+hrs later. I'd say this isn't for the faint of heart, I blind bought this just to have a strong cardamon/leather frag, you honestly have to be "special" or really like deep frags in order to pull this one off. Ideal for people 35+ who want to present themselves very masculine. Closing notes: Performance and Silage are 5/5, you cannot beat this frag, and others mentioning this only lasts a couple of hours are truly nose blind or have a dupe. This can easily nose blind you from the opening, if you do buy this don't be ashamed to wear it and ask your peers how they feel about the scent, just be cautious :)

Honestly one of my favorite fragrances. I come from an oil based, middle eastern attar wearing background so spray perfumes were not what I was used to despite being from the west. This was a blind buy decant. After 2 days, i bought 200ml bottle. Its spicy The opening of cardamon and lavendar is noticeable and elegant. The woody opening gives an added kick but the lavendar smooths it out nicely. The dry down aspect. I dont smell tonka at all. The amber is noticed, as well as a subtle leather note. I also get star anise smell in there as well despite it not being a mentioned note and i love the smell of star anise. As hours go, the vetiver comes out slow and dry, with the resinous base note that keeps it all warm. Dry down is perfection to me. This perfume projects STRONG. And it lasts FOREVER. 1-2 sprays MAX. Honestly. This will will fill a room and even the floor of a house. 1-2, no joke. Even after a shower you can smell it on the skin. I think this borders on extrait or the very limits of EDP oil concentration. The price is amazing. And ive never smelt anything like it. Al Haramain has never disappointed.

2 weeks later and this is SOOO GOOD!! Upon arrival, I was underwhelmed. Little projection and/or sillage? But the scent was there, quietly. Fast forward 2 weeks later and WOW! Beautiful! Bigger scent bubble and much loud and lovely scent. This one is a banger amber fragrance. Unisex for sure. The orange blossom, cardamom, lavender, ambergris, and benzoin are all noticeable and magical. Not sure what this is “inspired” by or if it’s an original composition, either way, it’s LOVELY! My standard advice for middle eastern fragrances: get it, spray it, let it sit and macerate, then come back and enjoy it. It’s worked countless times and this one is a perfect example of what a little patience can do!

I first got a sample of this perfume before buying a whole bottle. I am madly in love with this fragrance. It's woody but there is also a powdery aspect to it. It's not a dark and earthy, dirty scent. It's a smooth ambery, woody powdery scent. I do think it leans a bit more masculine, but women can definitely wear this. It's not sweet, but there is a little freshness to it. It's also quite aromatic. It also lasts very long. Others will smell it on you. It's fabulous.

#326 in my "Tour de Fragrance" A rare "LOVE" rating from me. But I love Fucking Fabulous, Layton and Interlude and this is a stronger, richer and much more enduring scent that covers all those bases, one I'd happily wear to the exclusion of all else. If you're a man who wants just one scent on the shelf, this is probably not the one. Cooler weather only would be my call, date night, or any night out for damn sure. Probably wouldn't be office wear for me.

First of all, I have Pegasus Exclusif, this smells absolutely nothing like that to my nose. When I first sprayed it, I thought it was obviously a clone of Amouage Interlude Man. I sprayed them on side by side and now I'm not sure if they smell similar, let alone just alike. It is good, darn good! I don't know what it smells like but this is a major go, if you like deeply dark, smokey fragrances.

This is the only fragrance I’ve smelt that instantly put a smile on my face. It’s mysterious, soft but very masculine, aggressive but elegant. My wife loves lavander and she compliments me every time I wear this so the beautifull woman approve. This is working very well in the summer too with 15 sprays. This is VERY nice stuff indeed. It changed over two to three months so be patient with it. 💯

These “similar to” fragrances are just nuts lmao. Smells nothing like any mentioned above. This smells so damn close to PDM Pegasus exclusif, I have the PDM, for about a year now and have enough wearing to know that scent and when I went to my local guy and he showed me this, it was pretty much redundant. Pegasus but more dark and smooth and that added oud, man this is a cold season stunner

Same dry down as Interlude man with orange blossom opening instead of oregano. Has moderate projection and above average longevity. I don't have Layton exclusive to compare it to as many suggested. If you want a more polite Interlude get it while it is still cheap.

This is way more like Prada Luna Rossa Black than Tom Ford Fucking Fabulous. The TF is exactly that, Fucking Fabulous. That's not to say this one isn't, too, because Prada Luna Rossa Black is really nice, too, but this ain't a TF FF clone.

Whatever PDM adds to their fragrances to make them “exclusif”. This is a bottle of that. This fragrance is fire. Smooth smoky spicy deep and masculine. I have Layton and Layton Exclusif. That’s why I say this is a bottle of the Exclusif.

Nice and performing fragrance! cardamom, cashmeran, amber gris, vetiver, benjoin, vanilla, smoky, orange blossom, cedar. Similar to Lord George by Penhaligon’s but more powerful and lasting on my skin, and much cheaper.

Just smelled this at my local shop. Yeah, I’m getting strong Pegasus exclusif Vince from this! Smells awesome, dark, rich, nutty. (I have the OG PDM exclusif) to feel comfortable enough with my thoughts

Amazing fragrance, I am not an expert but based on the sillage/logevity is a 9.3 out of 10. As I searched more it looks like its copying the DNA of other perfumes which I did not try yet.

I’m a fan of this...to my nose, reminds me of Prada Luna Rosa Black. Powdery, woody, a little sweet, but very masculine.

Do not listen to RandyInTheStudio, his name should be RandyIsAMadMan if he is wearing 15 sprays of this in the summer.

Fantastic! Resinous vanilla wiffs still at the 14 hour mark. Dark, spicy, leathery, smokey opening. Killer juice.

This smells like a smoker. Wet cigarette ash. An airy dirty smoker smell, but with a loud, warm, vanillic cologne in the background. Definitely going to be offensive to many non fragautists. BUT, not in as gross of a way as you would imagine. In fact, and maybe its the way and the people I grew up around, but its kind of comforting. Looking at the notes I cant figure out why it smells quite like this, unless its the leather (a very animalic and dirty leather) mixed with the ambergris. Prada Black is MUCH cleaner, as you would expect from Prada. I haven't smelled TF FF so I can't comment on similarities there. I definitely do like it; but its one of those frags that you like because its so unique, not necessarily because it smells "so amazing". I don't expect to wear this at a party and get "wow, what are you wearing??"'s, I expect to get more of.. "wow... what are you wearing?.."'s.. if you catch my drift lol. Despite the divisive scent, the quality seems WAY up there. This doesn't smell cheap in the slightest, instead its far closer to the niche standards you may be accustomed to. Every Amber Oud (and the non-Haramain Exclusif line) that I have gotten are WICKED with the quality the provide for the price. Edit/Update; Wore this to work today. Sprayed 4 sprays total on my wrists, as I sit here 18 hours later I can still smell it, and its not vague. This stuff sticks. One thing I also noticed was just how much this fragrance changes over time, and how much nicer the fleeting whiffs of the late-drydown are compared to the mid. Much of the dirty and animalic nature of this fragrance fades after a few hours, and what's left is far more palatable and comforting. Highly unique, which is ironic because TF FF is hated on precisely because its considered not unique. That said, if you've smelled TF frags before, you will definitely think "yeah, this smells like a Tom Ford"

I haven't tried the OG, but I can tell you this... its a hell of a lot better than Fusion Intense which is liquid pepper and this smells great. With 250+ frags and growing, I doubt I ever purchase a bottle, but if you are in the market for a good performing, masculine fragrance at a reasonable cost, this checks the boxes. 8/10 and not many dupes get that high of a rating from me. I wouldn't necessarily say that its blind buy safe, as not much is. As always... get a sample. They are cheap and readily available with places like discoverydecants which is where I have purchased a good 50 5mls from. Don't waste your time with Fusion Intense. I have a bottle and its going in the trash.

Didn't like it when i bought it. Kept coming back to it every couple weeks and some months later i really started to like it. This one needs time. Mysterious smell, as an introvert it fits me perfectly. Edit: I bought the re-released discontinued Issey Miyake Noir Ambre couple months ago and it smelled just like this, except this Al Haramain smells better and performs much better. Edit 2: This keeps getting better and better, using it after having it more than 1,5 years and it is soooo nice.

TF's F*cking Fabulous opening with YSL's La Nuit de L'Homme drydown. Opens like spicy raw almonds then the powdery leather & amber facets emerge. The opening notes linger quite strongly even as the incensy and lightly animalic benzoin become apparent. Very strong sillage, projects very loudly and leaves quite the trail. Cool/cold weather will be best for this scent. Bottle is brand new, maceration will make this beastly. Unisex, very affordable.

Oh my this is so good, not a blind buy safe, but if you like interlude man, PDM Layton, Dior suvage elixir this will be right up your alley. I see this being for older men, very masculine sent. 10/10 In my opinion its not versatile, only date night or evening events, cool weather suited.

Lovely unique smooth leathery cardamom opening, almost identical to Karleidoscope which was slightly more peppery . But the dry down of the this is sort of bland and typical ambroxan, ruined. Guessing it's the ambergris

This is a musk, cardamom and florals bomb, with fougère like qualities, not my favourite perfume but I will say it's elegant, I see an older distinguished man in a linen suit sitting in a cafe by a Mykonos beach

Love on the beginning now not really not because it’s not nice, but I don’t know. Maybe I use it too much but affordable and smell expensive.

Dark, Woody, Ambery, Smoky, Mysterious. I love this scent so much, it makes me feel like I'm a demon king while wearing this.

The Tragedy of Lord George at the opening and become Tom ford f*king fabulous at the drydown ...

This was a nicely blended and interesting masculine scent but nothing original or remarkable, and it didn't last long either. Despite the name i could not detect any amber or anything even close to Oud. To me its a weaker version of many other darker arabian type ouds like Qaa'ed or similar but without the strength or staying power and three times more expensive. yeah its got a vibe of the Egyptian musk and it opens up warm and exotic, its nice but to me it was not worth keeping because nothing distinguishes it for the sixty Euros pricetag. You can get the same or better for far less money.

Smells very much like Ard Al Zaafaran Midnight Oud, which is also a clone of Interlude, and Just Jack Fanta Fab. Average performance, I liked the smell on paper more than smell on my skin. A bit overpriced for what it is. Not at all similar to Luna Rossa Black IMO.

Longevity and projection are great but this is way too synthetic. I have no idea if this is supposed to be a clone of something but in the initial dry down it does remind me of Amouage Interlude which is nice. The opening is smoky and spicy but too synthetic. In the later stage of the dry down you can smell mostly something very synthetic and unpleasant in the base, I noticed it's very characteristic for middle eastern perfumes. Maybe it's the ambergris but I have no idea. If you can pick it up for 30-40eur then I would say it's ok but for higher prices I wouldn't bother. The cheapest one I can find right now is 50eur for 60ml and I wouldn't buy that for sure. It's the price range of decent designer fragrances and I'd rather get something else. Or just save up and buy the Interlude if you like that dry down. Definitely sample before you buy.

Either this was reformulated or I got a fake bottle cause the projection and longevity are Shit. To my nose it smells like in the opening you get the almond note from PDM Pegasus but after 20 mins it quickly fades away and all you're left with is Leather! Pure leather, nothing else! It's not a bad smelling scent by any means, I just with the projection and longevity was better.

Dark, smoked leather fragrance, that's it. Nothing special to me, and I disliked it. One of my more regrettable blind purchases of fragrances. I don't know where the amber or oud is, definitely not detectable, obviously it's simply there for the branding of the line which is called Amber Oud. Scent: 4/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 6/10

If it is to be a clone of TF then it's not a good one. Maison Alhambra Fabulo Intense does the better job. This smells like any generic male fragnance, maybe even deodorant... Returned it after two days of owning Maison Alhambra

Smells like baby powder and ash tray. Maybe a hint of chocolate. Generally just smells like smoker.

OK. Quick summary - Exceptional. Just a beautiful fragrance, incredibly well blended. Think it's jumped into in my top 5 fragrances of all time after 30 years of collecting. Personal preference is always a factor for fragrance, but no one can deny the quality of this product. 100% blind buy worthy. This is my 3rd purchase from the Amber oud range and the quality of all of them is superb. It's a wonderful amber orientated fragrance with a subtle almond note that meets the slightest hint of lipstick lovingly stirring a warm gentle oud note to drift in and out of it. This is my 3rd wear and I'm enjoying it so much. I can't stress how well blended this is and I'm having such a Pandora's box of an olfactory experience. Performance is presently subtle and average in projection and longevity, but is improving with each wear. This fragrance is brand new factory fresh and from experience I'm pretty confident performance will significantly improve in a month or 2. In terms of similarities to other fragrances, TF's Fucking Fabulous is the closest I have and although there are clear comparisons, this is not a clone of it and head and shoulders above it in terms of quality and subtly in my humble oppinion. This evolves so magically in comparison and sits in a warmer, more comforting atmosphere than the TF. I just find it so good to smell and enjoy it throughout it's evolution. Now buying it... This is not easy to get hold of in the UK! The major issue I have with Al Haramin is they are clearly trying to gouge UK customers at the moment. The only place i could find it is from Al Haramain UK and their Amazon shop in 60ml for £65. In the end I purchased it from perfume.com in 140ml for £55 which included delivery and taxes from the US. Nuff said! (Arrived in less than a week if you can grab it before they run out). Bravo Al Haramain on this one, but remember we all have access to a global marketplace these days so please sort out your UK pricing and distribution as it will likely hurt you in the long run. Ordering back up bottle now.

had the opportunity to test this yesterday & immediately upon the initial spray I was trying to distinguish exactly where I recognized the most prominent note to my nose from..hmmmm?? a grim smoky leather..ah yes similiar nuances presented in Monkey Special & to a lesser extent Tuscan Leather..not saying it's a clone or anyhow a suitable alternative but that particular vibe is definitely apparent..to a novice/designer fragrance aficionado it may not be appealing because it's not ripe with overt sweetness but to a more experienced nose it can be intriguing..personally, hrs later I found myself still sniffing my arm..in the drydown phase I get like a residual campfire scent with a touch of sweetness & a minimal powdery floral-ish component which I'm attributing to the lavender (but still thinking) the addition of a subtle berry note would elevate this to another level..

All of y'all saying that Amber Oud Black Edition smells like Fucking Fabulous are out of it. Is this powdery? Yes, but when you compare it with a fragrance that smells literally like a combination of baby powder/talc with a mixture of sun tan lotion. I have to say y'all have gone mad. TF FF is ridiculously powdery. Where AOBE powderiness is tamed way down. I mean way down. To the point where the two have no comparison at all.

This cologne is so stupid it smelled okay on my the opening smells like sunscreen and the dry down was okay not worth 40$ tho if you wanna smell like your at the beach go for it the sweetness does come it but smells like burnt rubber but does last all day. 4/10 wouldn’t recommend to many people.

I love this perfume and my girl loves it on me but it's not even close to TF FF. It has hints of it but it lacks the almond note that is in my opinion the most crucial part of FF. It's more closer to Prada Black and Amouage Interlude. A dark mysterious leather/sweat fragrance.

Literally nothing - I repeat, *nothing* - to do with TF FF. If this is an attempt at cloning it, it's gone disastrously badly. That said, Amber Oud Black Edition is a fairly decent leathery scent, albeit rather situational and definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

This is amazing!! Stays on clothes until you wash it. After wash and dried I can still smell it on my t-shirt. Sillage is a bomb. $37 banger. It is not necessary to compare to all these other scents.... this is great as a stand a long scent! BANGER

Just got my bottle and the first spray's drydown smells like an ashtray. So far nothing like Fucking Fabulous. I will let it macerate. Update: after 3 months of maceration still smells like an ashtray the morning after

it is inspired by TF FF, just without the nuttiness, i like this more. mysterious, leathery, and sweet. performance is good, didn’t really find myself wearing this often so I gave it to a friend. 8/10

I get TF F’n Fabulous vibes from this. Got this as a $30 tester with cap. Good alternative if you don’t want to break the bank. Performance and presentation is good as with others in the line.

It smells just like an ashtray, definitely not for me. However, it also smells very much like TF FF. TF’s is much better, though. GenericUN’s review is 100% spot on!

strange but i quite like it. lavendar bomb. not a layton exclusif dupe unless u substitute orange blossom for almond. kinda reminds me of the one intense
